What you'll do:

Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader / Manager
Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions
Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance
Where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
Support customers to move on from the service through their identified move on pathway liaising with Tower Hamlet's HOST and Clearing House.
Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community
Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards
Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team
Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible
Engage in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills
Ability to defuse challenging behaviour with awareness of personal safety.

Purpose of This Role: 
NASP is a highly ambitious charity, founded by government and working across diverse 
sectors to improve healthcare in England and across the world through the development of 
social prescribing. This is a senior leadership role to shape our future strategy and develop 
existing and new partnerships with government departments, national agencies, charities, 
business, the NHS and others to deliver this. 

We are seeking an experienced senior leader, an optimist with strategic vision and a high 
degree of intellect who can collaborate with other leaders to design and deliver solutions to 
our most pressing problems in health and wellbeing. The postholder will navigate highly 
complex systems and networks and need to be very politically astute, diplomatic and excel 
at building relationships with trust and integrity.

The Executive Director for Strategy and Partnerships is the second most senior role in 
NASP, with a remit for leadership across the organisation and responsibility to deputise for 
the CEO. The core purpose of the role is to form strong relationships and partnerships with 
leaders from diverse sectors and co-produce strategies and programme plans for joint work. 
Existing formal partnerships include agreements with national ‘arm’s length’ bodies such as 
Sport England and Natural England, and charities such as Independent Age. It includes line 
management responsibilities for staff seconded by partners or employed directly by NASP, 
to deliver partnership plans and priorities. The role includes the strategic leadership of multi
million-pound programmes reporting to government departments (for example working 
closely with DEFRA to lead the Treasury-funded ‘Tackling and preventing mental ill health 
through green social prescribing’ programme). Therefore, a focus on delivery and achieving 
outputs and outcomes is just as important as strategic vision.  

NASP also works internationally and there will be opportunities to travel regularly, for 
example supporting our network of global contacts with events (most recently the Canadian 
International Social Prescribing Conference). 

The ideal candidate will be highly articulate, a persuasive public speaker, with a proven track 
record of delivering complex high impact partnerships which make a measurable impact. 
You will need to be comfortable advocating for social prescribing at the highest level; to 
government ministers and officials, CEOs of large organisations and global partners such as 
Movember, Amazon and the World Health Organization.

They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

As a Night Support Worker in RBKC Complex Needs Services, you will work with a variety of support needs, working between our different services to ensure that person centred support is provided to all our customers. The post will be primarily based remotely, working from home, but with access to shared office space in Camden and Monument in London. Our board of trustees meet twice a year in person in central London (and twice more online), and our Executive Director is often in London for meetings once or twice a week. Charisma is working in partnership with Guide Dogs to appoint their new Director of Guide Dog Service. Guide Dogs, the world’s largest assistance dog organisation, offer a wide range of services to support people living with a vision impairment. Their expert staff, dedicated volunteers and life-changing dogs help people with sight loss to live actively, independently, and well.

This senior leadership role helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose through the direction, delivery and development of the guide dog service. Well House is a crisis house supported accommodation service that supports individuals for between 14 and 28 days as an alternative to requiring hospital admission for their mental health needs. The service works closely in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team in order to meet individual needs, manage risk and support individuals to achieve positive outcomes.

The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure members of the local community are able to access critical mental health support at all hours. The service receives referrals primarily from a local hospital emergency department and crisis lines, and may receive these referrals at any time of day or night.

Role includes shift working including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

East London Apartments provides 24 hour accommodation based support for up to 31 individuals with complex histories, multiple traumas, complex personality disorder(s) and a varied, disrupted housing history with experience of homelessness as well as individuals who have been diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health conditions who are under the Care Programme Approach (CPA).

East London Apartments implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach which was developed to support people out of homelessness, in particular those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. However, its application is far broader than only homelessness. It considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.

When working with individuals with complex needs, who may display challenging, chaotic behaviours, regularly testing boundaries and have experienced multiple traumas as a result of abuse, neglect, years of street homelessness, or long stays in mental health hospitals, it is integral that the post holder is motivated to support individuals to progress. They should continually hold aspirations for individuals despite multiple setbacks, and display emotional resilience, able to process challenging incidents and remain motivated to deliver excellent support.

Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.

The shift pattern for this role consists of 4 nights on, 4 nights off.

Vine Court is a supported accommodation service providing on-site support Monday-Saturday 9am-7pm for up to 7 vulnerable and complex individuals with low to medium needs, who have experienced homelessness.

This role is Monday to Thursday, 10 hour shifts- 9am-7pm.

You will provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Job Purpose: 

Women in Prison’s South London Women’s Hubs provide support and advocacy to women at different points of the criminal justice system – whether they are at risk of offending, serving a community sentence, or in custody and leaving prison. The primary purpose of this role is to work with women in custody, including on remand, preparing them for, and connecting them with vital community support services on, release.

The role of an IDVA is to address the safety of victims and survivors at high risk of harm. IDVAs work with their customers from the point of crisis by safety planning and risk assessing using the DASH to ascertain the level of risk to the victim.
