Headway East London is a charity supporting people living with brain injury. Working across 13 London boroughs we offer specialist support and services for survivors and their families. We offer therapies, advocacy, family support and community support work alongside our day service: a community venue where people can make the most of their abilities and interests.

About the role

The Director of Services leads all our member-facing services to ensure that they are run effectively, are mission-led and are guided by co-production. The post holder is responsible for overseeing business planning and managing income streams, ensuring financial sustainability. They will maintain all relationships with local authorities, Integrated Care Boards, and private funders, ensuring the quality of services and adherence to best practices, regulations, and legislation. 

Principle duties and responsibilities

1. Provide strategic leadership to the service leads for all our member-facing services, to ensure the efficient delivery, quality, and consistency of services, guided by the principles of co-production.

2. Work with staff to ensure our members’ voices are at the centre of everything we do.

3. Oversee the development of plans and strategies for each team and instil a sense of collaboration, common goals, and working together across the departments to ensure the sustainability of our services.

4. Support the teams and work with the Directors of Development and Fundraising to explore new opportunities to develop our business to generate income. 

5. Build good relationships with stakeholders in the boroughs we serve to develop opportunities for growth and development of our services.

6. Lead on commissioning/tender/framework contracting arrangements with the local authorities we serve.

7. Lead on safeguarding and health and safety to ensure we are compliant in all areas.

8. Implement effective ways to evidence the outcomes of our members and the impact of our services to demonstrate our impact, support our service development and contribute to funding report requirements.

9. Contribute to the effective leadership and administration of Headway East London working as part of the Senior Management Team and supporting the Board in setting the strategic direction of the organisation.

10. Oversee all budgets within the department. 

11. Contribute to budgeting and financial planning working with the Chief Executive, Directors of Finance, Development, and Fundraising.

12. Work with the managers and the Finance team to ensure unit costs are correct and work to ensure full costs of the service are recovered from customers.

13. Provide leadership and support across the wider organisation as necessary and appropriate.

XLP is a vibrant youth work charity dedicated to shaping bright futures for young people. Leading the charge against poverty and educational failure in inner London, we offer holistic, long-term support to 11 to 25 year olds in both schools and communities.

Our buses act as Mobile Youth Centres and provide a unique and rare platform to engage with young people on a weekly basis. We’re looking for a youth worker who’ll also be responsible for driving one of our buses to and from projects. The role reports directly to the Youth Work Manager - Outreach and work closely with the area based Senior Youth Workers.

We are currently seeking a HR Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring all HR processes are completed effectively and clear responses are given to queries from staff and managers.

We are looking for someone with experience working within a HR team and on HR processes, with the communication skills to confidently communicate policies and procedures to staff and managers and produce formal letters.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role 

As an Accounts Payable Executive within the Accounts Payable team, you will play an important role in providing accurate and up to date financial information to the organisation, empowering key decision makers.

You will help to maintain strong relationships with our key partners and suppliers and support our staff and volunteers in performing their vital roles.

As part of the Accounts Payable team, you will work with teams right across the organisation, giving you a great understanding and insight into the work that Crisis does day to day in our mission to end homelessness. 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will have 3 - 5 years relevant accounts payable experience, in depth understanding of finance processes and procedures and great attention to detail. You will also have intermediate level excel and strong interpersonal skills and be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders whether in person, over video calls or by email. 

You must also be AAT level 3 qualified or equivalent.

Now Teach, in partnership with the National Institute of Teaching and Mindful Equity UK, has successfully secured a Mission 44 grant to launch a pilot project to attract and support ethnically diverse career changers in the West Midlands to become secondary school teachers. The partnership will support applicants through the recruitment process and into their teacher training.

We are looking for an exceptional recruitment specialist with a passion for education, great insight into the region and local communities and the ability to work autonomously to achieve our recruitment and retention ambitions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Role overview

The Recruitment Specialist will support the design and be responsible for the implementation of a recruitment campaign to meet our targets. They will research the lived experience of ethnically diverse teachers in the region, build a strong knowledge base of the local labour market and deliver outreach and local community engagement, candidate support and pipeline management.

The Recruitment Specialist will provide guidance to candidates throughout the application process, including onboarding activities and providing ongoing mentorship to candidates throughout their teacher training. This will specifically focus on eliminating barriers, capitalizing on opportunities, and navigating challenges unique to our target audience.

In this role you will…

• Lead the day-to-day activities of the pilot campaign, taking responsibility for delivering and achieving the successful recruitment and retention of a cohort of between 15-20 career changers.
• Collaborate with the National Institute of Teaching Recruitment Teams to ensure a seamless candidate journey, working with Mindful Equity UK to ensure best practice in supporting candidates.
• Project manage and coordinate input from project partners and suppliers, providing regular updates and inputting into progress reports and evaluation documents.
• Provide full end to end career change support across the whole candidate life cycle; from prospective Now Teacher, through our selection process, to delivering expert advice and guidance in successfully transitioning and onboarding candidates as Now Teachers within the National Institute of Teaching ITT cohort.

The European Network on Statelessness (ENS) is seeking a Legal Officer (10-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension) to play a key role in enabling us to fulfil our mission to break the cycle of statelessness in Europe and realise everyone’s right to a nationality. ENS is a civil society alliance of over 180 members in 41 countries. Are you passionate about uncovering insights and telling stories through data? Samaritans is looking for a Data Analyst to cover maternity leave and help them drive positive change with data-driven decisions across the organisation.

What makes this role unique

You’ll be the sole Data Analyst within Samaritans, working within a small and friendly team of three, alongside a Senior Data Scientist and Head of Data. You’ll work with an exciting and flexible data set (caller data from c. 250,000 calls each month across the UK & Ireland). Data on real people.

​You’ll be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (including our CEO at times) and work with a data community across different teams at Samaritans, including Income, Engagement and Research. You’ll be passionate about data integrity

and ethics, focusing on how we handle data sensitivity. If you’re interested in developing training skills, we occasionally run training sessions internally for colleagues on data wisdom, R programming and literacy skills.

• £35,500 to £39,500 per annum

• 12 month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave

• Hybrid working: Linked to our Ewell (Surrey) office with home working and the option to work occasionally from ourLondon hub in EC3A.

About the role

As a Data Analyst in our Performance and Insight team, you’ll analyse and present data to inform key areas such as research, fundraising, communications, partnerships, and service improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to use your analytical skills to impact our mission of reducing suicide rates.

The friendly and supportive team provide hands-on leadership on data and statistics across the organisation, gathering insight that helps influence decisions, demonstrate the impact of our work and improve and develop our services for those who contact us for support.

This role can be exposed to emotionally challenging material and data relating to suicide and self-harm, including personal individual lived experience, which can be traumatic. You’ll receive training and support throughout your time at Samaritans to manage the demands of the role, but it’s important to be sure that this role is right for you.

​

What we’re looking for:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a mathematical, scientific or computing subject is preferable but equivalent experience will be considered.

• Essential skills in user-focused data analysis, stakeholder management, and communication.

• Confident creating reports, validating data, and applying analytical techniques to tell compelling stories. 

• Experience with data visualisation and coding (e.g., R, Python).

The Circuit Administrator must have good admin & communiocation skills, able to self-motivate and work effectively as part of the small Circuit Office Team supporting ministers, officers and 17 churches of the Harrow & Hillingdon Circuit of the Methodist Church.  Based at the Lighthouse Centre, South Ruislip. Office hours 9am to 2pm Monday to Wednesday (some flexibility allowed and required). The post is for 20 hours a week (with the potential for increased hours).

• Create materials to promote Women’s Service programmes and manage programme marketing.

Recovery Worker - Lambeth, Southwark & Croydon

As a Recovery Worker in the Dependency and Recovery Services, you will be working within a flexible, multi-disciplinary team, across a cluster of community delivery sites.

Recovery Workers will be multi-skilled to provide a range of support/interventions across all complexity levels and be able to work across South London, providing flexibility and resilience against changing demand.

Some degree of flexibility may be required if out of office work is required, but this is a predominately Mon -Fri 09:00-17:00 role.

Responsibilities:

· You will carry a diverse caseload of adult male prison leavers and those on community orders within the Probation services, supporting to implement their action plan and navigate their recovery journey, building trust, and providing support/continuity and signposting.

· You will be responsible for completing comprehensive assessments, creating a collaborative action plan, delivering structured one to one, group work/virtual sessions, whilst maintaining accurate record keeping throughout.

· You will also deliver services which enhance access to treatment as well as providing additional support and guidance meeting the needs of those people on probation whose substance use disorders often co-occur alongside other mental illnesses and other complex needs.

Experience Required:

· Knowledge and experience of the criminal justice sector.

· Excellent experience of substance misuse field and/or experience of working in a related field or similar field.

· Demonstrable experience of managing high caseloads, carrying out risk/ comprehensive assessments, SMART action plans and effective case records.

· Experience of delivering both 1:1 and group-work interventions using motivational techniques and trauma informed approaches.
