The Administrative Manager is a vital part of our team coordinating all the administrative and operational areas of the charity enabling the missionary staff to focus on sharing the Gospel with Jewish people. Specific responsibilities include day-to-day finances and bill paying, budget development, daily and long-term upkeep of facilities, general administration, HR, and project management.  Problem solving is a significant requirement of the position.   The successful candidate should be able to anticipate needs, evaluate solutions, and resolve problems that arise within the branch.

Role Overview

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Trainer to join our Bet You Can Help Now team. You will deliver engaging, interactive workshops across a range of organisations, both in person and online. Working alongside our Experts by Experience (EbEs), you’ll ensure our sessions are insightful, impactful, and supportive.

This role is home-based, but you’ll need to be prepared for regular travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays, to deliver our workshops effectively.

Reporting to the Head of Training, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards and reputation of our programme, ensuring each training session meets the diverse needs of learners and our organisational goals.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead and grow our national family support services for disabled children, young people, and their families. As Head of Advice, Information and Family Support, you will be responsible for the strategic development, delivery, and quality assurance of a broad portfolio of non-clinical family services—ranging from emotional and practical support to peer networks, parenting guidance, and tailored one-to-one interventions.

The role

We are seeking an experienced marketing and communications manager to raise awareness of, and engagement with, the activities of our Enterprise directorate, with a particular focus on our portfolio of regional Hubs.

The successful candidate will develop and deliver marketing plans and produce assets which may include social media posts, paid digital marketing, email newsletters, digital graphics, printed flyers, video clips, blog posts or press releases – tailoring each to regional audiences around the UK. While raising awareness of our regional Hubs with targeted outreach for key local activities, you will also work closely with a small Programme Communications team to contribute to communications plans for our entire suite of Enterprise Hub programmes, helping ensure that each delivers a sufficient volume of high quality, diverse applications from across the UK.

You will be expected to recommend marketing approaches to make an impact, while monitoring and evaluating campaigns to learn from successes and make suggestions for improvement. With good all-round communications skills, you will need to craft high impact copy as well as produce eye-catching visuals, all while adhering to the Academy’s and Enterprise Hub’s brand and visual identity guidelines. The Programme Officer (Research) will play an integral role in the Impact team within the broader Directorate of Impact and External Affairs. The Magistrates’ Association’s aim is to help our members be the best magistrates they can be for the good of society. One of the key ways we do this is by helping them develop their skills and competences. Job Purpose

The Director of Finance is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for strategic financial leadership and ensuring the financial sustainability of the Diocese. This role encompasses treasury management, investment strategy, risk management, IT oversight, and long-term financial planning. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Develop and implement a financial strategy aligned with the Diocese’s mission and long-term objectives.
• Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and risk management to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with Canon Law, UK financial regulations, and charity law across all jurisdictions.
• Advise the Bishop, COO, Trustees, and key leaders on all aspects of financial management.
• Attend senior board and committee meetings presenting clear and insightful financial reports.

Treasury & Investment Management

• Oversee treasury operations, ensuring effective cash flow management and financial sustainability.
• Lead on investment strategy, working with the Investment Committee and external advisors to maximise ethical and responsible investment returns.
• Regularly review Restricted and Designated Funds to ensure compliance with Diocesan policies and procedures for such funds.

Leadership of the Finance Team

• Provide strong leadership, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and mentor finance staff, ensuring they have the skills and support needed to succeed.
• Ensure the efficient operation of financial systems, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls.
• Promote collaboration across diocesan departments, ensuring effective financial stewardship at all levels.

Financial Oversight, Risk Management & Investigations

• Oversee fraud risk management, implementing robust controls to identify, prevent, and address financial irregularities, particularly in parish accounts.
• Develop and maintain a Financial Risk Register, identifying and mitigating key risks across the Diocese, including fraud, liquidity, compliance, and operational risks.
• Regularly review and update the Risk Register, ensuring risks are assessed, mitigated, and reported to senior leadership and trustees.
• Establish and implement risk management strategies, embedding a culture of financial accountability across the Diocese.
• Provide audit support and financial guidance to parishes, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the development of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with diocesan strategy and long-term financial sustainability.
• Develop and maintain long-term financial forecasts, assessing future income, expenditure, and funding requirements.
• Lead and manage complex financial investigations, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance.

Financial Planning & Parish Support

• Provide strategic financial support to parishes, schools, and diocesan agencies, helping them develop long-term sustainability plans.
• Offer guidance on budgeting, financial controls, and fundraising strategies.
• Develop and implement financial training for clergy and parish finance teams to improve financial literacy and compliance.
• Operational & IT Leadership
• Lead the IT strategy, ensuring digital transformation aligns with financial and operational objectives.

 Payroll

• Lead the payroll function working closely with the HR manager to deliver a reliable and accurate service for employees. This will include the effective use of the designated payroll IT system.

Governance, Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, charity law, and internal policies across all jurisdictions.
• Delivery of the Financial Annual Report and Accounts to agreed timescales.
• Develop and update key policies and procedures to ensure financial governance and accountability.
• Work closely with Trustees, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to maintain transparency and good governance.
• Implement robust internal financial controls to safeguard diocesan assets and mitigate risks.
• Develop a standard suite of financial reports to enable informed strategic and operational decision-making for the Board of Trustees and senior leaders.
• Timely production of monthly management accounts and cashflow analysis

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted advisor to the Bishop, clergy, Trustees, and Senior Leadership Team.
• Communicate complex financial information clearly and persuasively to both finance professionals and non-experts.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring financial decisions support the Diocese’s mission.

Director of Finance - Person Specification

Competence, Expertise and Knowledge:

Essential

• Degree-level education (or equivalent professional qualification/experience).
• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Extensive financial leadership experience, ideally within charities, faith-based organisations, or complex institutions.
• Proven expertise in treasury and investment management, with experience in ethical investment strategies.
• Strong IT acumen, with experience in financial systems, digital transformation, and IT governance.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage clergy, Trustees, and external stakeholders effectively.

Additional information

This role will be working 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive salary of £80,000 - £85,000 per annum.

Based at St. Edmund House, Bishop Crispian Way, Portsmouth, PO1 3QA, with regular travel across the Diocese to parishes and diocesan meetings, including the Channel Islands which may require overnight stays. Please note, for this role a full driving licence and access to a vehicle will be required.

The Role

​This post will operate at a national level alongside similar posts in the rail industry. It will seek to develop ties with all train operator and Network Rail communications team and will play a key role in delivering Samaritans messages at a national level.

Woman’s Trust was established almost thirty years ago and is the leading specialist in mental health services for women. Led by and for women, it aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a safe and healthy life, free from further harm. About the role

Woman’s Trust is looking for an interim Senior Communications Consultant to support the delivery of our ambitious organisational strategy, and our goal to ensure more survivors of domestic abuse have access to the mental healthcare they need.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of five years’ senior media relations experience within the VAWG or mental health sectors. This is essential as we work at the intersection of both policy areas and need someone who understands the unique position that puts us in, in terms of the services we provide and our expertise.

We are looking for someone proactive, with a keen eye for uncovering news stories within an organisation and spotting opportunities to respond to issues in the media or more widely.

Applicants must also be able to demonstrate they have secured recent print and broadcast press coverage and that they have experience supporting vulnerable survivors with media work.

The priorities will be to:

• Generate media coverage using case studies, data, research, spokespeople and in response to the news agenda (newsjacking)
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists
• Support senior staff and domestic abuse survivors with media work and speaking at events
• Review and update our website
• Monitor, manage and engage with communities proactively and reactively across our social media channels, including creating content
• Support the development of a communications strategy to underpin the organisational strategy
