Westway Trust is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and forward-thinking Finance Officer (Property) to join our experienced, professional and friendly finance team to oversee the charging and collection of all property related income including rents, license fees service charges and ad-hoc recharges.
You will be a highly motivated Finance Officer with good organisational and analytical skills. You will also bring with you excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; will have good attention to detail and the ability to process data accurately and on time being a competent user of Microsoft Excel, and computerised accounting systems.
Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
- Maintain tenancy and charging details in the Property Management software.
- Raise and dispatch rent demands to tenants and post entries to the ledgers.
- Credit control following up tenants with arears by email letter and phone.
- Maintain the tenant debtors listing.
- Post expenditure from Access to the service charge accounts.
- Processing tenancy at wills, subsidised rent and deferred rent journals and reconciliation.
- Reviewing Voids and recharges.
- Assist in month-end reporting.
- Assist in preparing year-end audit schedules.
- Taking ownership of year-end MUS closure and service charge statements.
- To work positively in accordance with Westway Trust’s equality and Diversity Policy.
- Provide cover for the Finance Officer and the Senior Finance Officer including raising cheques, banking, petty cash and making electronic payments posting tenants receipts onto MUS and Access.
- Recharge annual insurance costs to tenants.
- Income reconciliation between MUS and Access (I&E, Vat turnover).
- Reconcile property management balances to Access accounts including debtors and service charge balances.
- Supporting SMF on year end accounting and service charge account closure
- Running MUS reports to help property analysis and preparing analysis of property financial performance.

Experience, knowledge and skills:
- Relevant experience within a busy accounts department.
- Minimum qualification GCSE Mathematics or equivalent.
- Experience of using computerised accounting systems.
- Competent user of Excel for reporting and computing.
- Highly computer literate, with practical experience of using MS Office packages, especially MS Excel and computerised accounting systems.
- The ability to deliver the highest standards of internal customer service through your positive attitude to the role, while staying calm and focused during busy or demanding work situations
- Excellent attention to detail with accurate data entry and the ability to prepare concise and accurate reconciliations and analyses of individual income, expenditure and control accounts.

The Role
As an Estates Manager, you will deliver an effective estate management function across the expansive and diverse Royal Parks Estate.
Your responsibilities will span the management of property-related matters, including non-residential assets and the negotiation of property contracts, ensuring that we maximise value from our property portfolio.

About You
To be considered as an Estates Manager, you will need:

For this reason CCT has been contracted to deliver a programme of work for Historic Chapels Trust (HCT). HCT owns and cares for 20 of the most significant Nonconformist and Catholic chapels no longer in regular use by their congregations, all listed at Grade I and Grade II*. As a member of CCT’s national Conservation team you will be the main point of contact for all chapel maintenance related issues, liaising closely with contractors, local groups and volunteers. Alongside the Conservation Projects Manager for Chapels you will deliver the maintenance programme, including regulatory and legal compliance, as well as deal with utilities and insurance of chapels. 10 of the chapels are in our North region, 6 in our West region and 4 are in our South East region.
You will have previous experience in the field of historic buildings maintenance, repair or property management. You will be an effective communicator, be able to plan and deliver your own workload and also work as part of a team. As you’ll be working at chapels throughout England it is essential you have a full driving licence.

What this role entails?
This varied role sits within the Volunteer Partnerships team, a unique team which consists of four volunteer fundraising boards, made up of influential, high-profile individuals who feel passionately about the charity and volunteer their time and expertise. The boards employ a range of fundraising techniques to reach their goals, but their main focus is on using their networks and influence to secure income generating opportunities via corporate partnerships, major gifts from individuals, collaboration with brands and fundraising events, all of which generate significant funds.
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Partnerships Manager to join this successful team on a maternity cover, working with their most recently launched Property Board, to secure high value partnerships and deliver a wide range of projects. Across the boards they have had support from the likes of Chanel, World Gold Council, Sky, Channel 4, WeWork, Hines, CBRE, Rios, Country and Townhouse and many more.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management

Support a portfolio of community organisations to develop pathways for long-term security and community-led neighbourhood transformation.

Assist partners in identifying and unlocking assets, land, and buildings for long-term stewardship that deliver community, cultural, and economic output.

Co-design projects and interventions to activate spaces and sites, collaborating with partners aligned in racial and land justice.

Develop and maintain project delivery frameworks and timelines using project management tools to ensure clear accountability and communication.

Create key resources and information for the organisation, including strategy documents, project pitches, presentations, and case studies.

Procure and commission services as required to deliver on our stewardship workstream, building a network of infrastructure professionals.
Policy and Advocacy

Work with cross-sector partners to inform and strengthen policies (e.g., planning policies, community right to bid/buy) to improve outcomes for marginalised communities and their ecosystems.

Engage with the Greater London Authority, Local Authorities, funders, community organisations, and research bodies to advance policy objectives.

Develop assets to support local knowledge exchanges on policies such as the Localism Act, Community Asset Transfers, and Community Land Trusts.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

Coordinate campaigns, communications, community events, and stakeholder engagements to strengthen networks and wider impact.

Design and facilitate workshops, sessions, and events for stakeholders across sectors,

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in a relevant (e.g., Urban Planning, Community Development, Public Policy, Community Organising, or related discipline) or;

Our commercial and operations team is responsible for generating income for the charity through our venue hire business and property, as well as supporting the operations of the buildings. This is a key part of enabling the successful delivery of our charitable activities.
This new role will support the Event & Venue Manager and the wider events team in delivering high-quality events, ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly and efficiently.
We are looking for someone who would like to use their events or hospitality experience to help ensure our clients receive the best possible experience. You will have great organisational and communications skills with excellent attention to detail.
This role will be varied, typically your day may involve, assisting with technology setup, greeting clients and providing housekeeping, providing reactive assistance (printing, temperature control, furniture adjustments etc.) & collecting feedback. You will supervise our Events Assistants and Welcome Hosts under the direction of the Events and Venue Manager.
