Job Role: We’re looking for a PA and Administrator who is passionate about facilitating Kingdom work. Working closely alongside the Event and Programs Manager and the Director, you will support the key organisation we serve, the Maclellan Foundation.
Overall goal: To serve with a high level of excellence as PA to the Director alongside proactively and efficiently delivering general and financial administrative support.
Job Location: Remote working. The ability for on-site meetings at offices based in Eastbourne (BN21) or Milton Keynes (MK19). Role requires occasional travel for events.
Hours: This is a part-time role, with flexibility to go full-time (20-25 hours, preferably worked across Monday – Friday).

Overview:
The Maclellan Foundation’s global engagement has reached a new season. As a global programs team, we train, coach, project manage and deliver on key initiatives. These programs will become Maclellan’s primary activity for many years into the future. The PA and Administrator will provide the necessary support to both the Director and Event and Programs Manager to deliver these initiatives. This role aligns with the Maclellan Foundation’s Bridge Strategy, focusing on equipping local ministries and releasing local resources to foster sustainable Kingdom growth. The PA and Administrator will be a dynamic individual capable of holding multiple tasks, building relationships, and proactively being part of a global team.

Responsibilities
Personal Assistance:
• Providing administrative support to the Director in an accurate, timely and professional manner, including maintaining schedules, meetings, appointments and travel arrangements
• Planning and coordinating multiple tasks, to ensure milestones are met to an excellent standard
• Assembling and analysing data to prepare reports and documents
• Preparing and editing written correspondence, communications, etc.
• Managing and updating various databases and booking systems on a regular basis
• Providing customer service support, via phone and email
• Reviewing operating practices and implementing improvements where necessary

Finance:
• Processing expenses
• Accurately recording and processing donation information
• Supporting the Event and Programmes Manager in making payments, maintaining donation and budgetary information, and liaising with the Accounts manager as necessary
• Proactively providing administrative support undertaken by NJC and Maclellan

Communication:
• Adhere to consistent communication plans to engage and inform stakeholders
• Provide written and virtual support via meetings and email
• Website updates and improvements (where applicable)
• Prepare and edit written correspondence
• Arrange and coordinate meetings, including minute-taking
• Website management (where applicable) and any other duties as required.

Development:
• Assembling research data to prepare reports and documents
• Improving operating practices under the direction of the Event and Programme Manager

Person Specification
Education & Experience
• Proficient computer skills and high competency levels with MS Office Suite
• Experience as a PA preferred, with a background in finance/general administration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ideally have experience in event/project management (desirable)
• Ideally have experience in a church/charity or professional environment (desirable)
• Articulate and well educated (minimum A ‘Levels, preferably degree level or relevant training)

Horatio’s Garden is a growing, award winning, national charity improving the lives of people with spinal injuries by creating and nurturing outstanding garden projects in NHS spinal injury centres.

Trusts & Foundations is our largest income stream, generating income for both ongoing running costs of the existing gardens and for our capital build projects. Main duties:

• Identify and research grant giving trusts and foundations to whom Horatio’s Garden is eligible to submit applications for funding.

• Proactively approach relevant trusts and foundations, where possible, to discuss potential applications before submission.

• Prepare and submit high quality applications for funding for a range of Horatio’s Garden projects.

• Prepare and submit high quality, timely progress reports to grant givers, contributing to longer term relationship development with funders.

• Maintain the Trusts and Foundations pipeline to maximise supporter retention and income generation.

• Identify and deliver opportunities to engage grant givers with Horatio’s Garden, through events and garden tours, to increase supporter engagement.

• Support the whole fundraising team with tasks where required.

• Work with the gardens and finance teams at Horatio’s Garden to understand the need for funding and the impact of Horatio’s Garden to maintain profitable relationships with supporters.

• Ensure all contact and communications with supporters is recorded on our CRM database and on pipelines to enable continuity with supporters across the team.

• Keep up to date with trends and developments in fundraising to identify opportunities for Horatio’s Garden to increase sustainable income.

• Actively contribute to team and organisation meetings.

• Actively contribute to projects and activities across the organisation, supporting colleagues and volunteers where necessary.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience for this role:

• Minimum of one to two years’ experience working in trusts and foundations fundraising, or relevant role with transferable skill set.

Introduction and background

The Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA) was founded in 2011 by people with lived experience, healthcare professionals, and organisations who understood the impact of perinatal mental problems and shared a commitment to improving the lives of women and their families.

Today, the MMHA is a UK-wide charity and network of over 130 member organisations. We work with parents, families, clinicians, and academics to ensure all women, birthing people, babies, and families have access to high-quality, compassionate mental health care. We bring the perinatal mental health community together and make change happen by combining the power of real-life experience with clinical and professional expertise.

We actively contribute to significantly improving mental health outcomes for people who experience discrimination, trauma and deprivation during the perinatal period and tackle systemic inequity and injustice.

We are now seeking a Chief Executive to take over from our interim CEO and lead the MMHA in the next stage of our development.

We have recently been awarded a 5-year grant by the National Lottery Community Fund to tackle maternal mental health inequities through community action. This project, due to start in Spring 2025, will develop, test and replicate a model of community-based decision making, support and service provision that is led by women with lived experience. This project aims to achieve system change locally and nationally to improve the mental health of marginalised women and is the next phase of the MMHA’s programme to tackle maternal mental health inequities across the UK. This will be our biggest piece of work over the next five years and will dovetail with other activities aimed at achieving our mission, where funding allows.

Main responsibilities

Leadership and strategy

• To provide clear strategic and inspirational leadership to the MMHA To drive the MMHA forward into the next stage of its development
• To ensure MMHA tackles maternal mental health inequities across the UK
• To be responsible for the management and administration of the charity within the strategic and accountability frameworks laid down by the Board of Trustees
• To work with Chair and Trustees in shaping the MMHA’s strategic mission, policies, aims and objectives
• To ensure long term sustainability of the MMHA through effective governance, sound finance and implementation of operational plans.

People

• To take overall responsibility for all permanent and temporary staff, and other members of the MMHA team, including contractors, champions and ambassadors
• To promote diversity and equality of opportunity for all staff in accordance with the MMHA EDI policy and strategy and foster a workplace culture built on inclusion, respect and equality.

Governance, finance and compliance

• To support the Chair and Trustees to ensure that the governance of the charity is proportionate and effective, and that the charity fulfils its legal, statutory, regulatory and moral duties and responsibilities
• To be responsible overall for the financial sustainability of the charity, and ensure that there are effective mechanisms to ensure the robustness of external and internal controls (financial and non-financial), supported by the Consultant Finance Director
• To support the Consultant Finance Director to ensure the timely and complete preparation of key reports, information and activities, including management accounts, budgets, annual report and accounts, and payroll
• To ensure that the major risks to which the charity is exposed are reviewed regularly by the Board and the Executive team, systems have been established to mitigate these risks
• To work with the Chair and the Board Secretary to ensure that meetings of trustees are effective and that Trustees have appropriate information to perform their duties.

Income generation

• To take overall responsibility for the MMHA’s income generation activities, securing the future of the organisation and delivering its ambition for the mental health of women during the perinatal period
• To lead on all trust, foundation and lottery fundraising, establishing and maintaining relationships, including with the National Lottery Community Fund
• To support the Marketing & Partnerships Director to develop corporate partnerships, taking the lead on the relationship with Tommee Tippee
• To work with the Marketing & Partnerships Director to secure funding from individuals.

Communications and external affairs

• To support the Head of Engagement to maintain a relevant, diverse and effective range of members organisations, and ensure their ongoing contribution to achieving the goals of the charity 4
• To have oversight of the social, economic, clinical and policy context and how they impact on maternal mental health and MMHA strategy
• To ensure the Alliance is working effectively across the 4 UK nations and devolved administrations
• To act as a visible leader for the charity, representing the MMHA at external events and networking opportunities, and act as a spokesperson
• To oversee the development and delivery of marketing and communications strategies which effectively promote all aspects of the Alliance.

Other/service delivery

• To embed MMHA’s values throughout the organisation
• To promote a culture of commitment, trust, mutual support and professional behaviour
• To run the charity efficiently and effectively by ensuring that it has an appropriate management structure and management systems in order to fulfil its strategic objectives and to carry out its work

About the role: 

As Chief Executive Officer you will have overall responsibility for operational delivery and strategic development. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Grants Associate will play a key role in supporting More in Common’s fundraising and grants management efforts across Europe. This fixed-term role (filling in for one of our colleagues who is going on parental leave) will focus on identifying new funding opportunities, developing relationships with funders, designing and managing multi-country grants, and providing fundraising and grants support to More in Common’s national teams.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of multi-country proposals, including project design, team coordination, proposal writing, funder liaison, and providing fundraising support to country teams as needed
• Researching new funding opportunities, from a variety of sources, including foundations and public funds and staying abreast of developments in the philanthropic sector
• Working with More in Common’s Co-founders, Country Directors, and Head of Development to maintain and strengthen funder relationships

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of professional experience working with grants – e.g., grant making, grant management, as part of a development team, or other similar work. Specific roles matter less than demonstrated familiarity with the grant application process and grant requirements.

• French language fluency a plus; German, Portuguese, Polish or Spanish also beneficial

As RIVET’s inaugural Director of Donor Engagement, you will help build and then lead the stewardship implementation for our 70+ major donors who serve on our Leadership Council, Youth Impact Council, and Youth Impact Fund, providing them with a meaningful experience that reflects our shared values and desired impact. RIVET’s operating budget is $2.5M, with most of that currently coming from philanthropic support. Our four-year sustainable business model strategy reflects an increasing reliance on brand revenue. Anaphylaxis UK seeks our first Deputy CEO to join our remote team to play a pivotal role in translating our strategic vision into operational success, driving key programmes, enhancing organisational performance, and supporting income generation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Delivery: Translate our vision into clear, actionable operational plans, overseeing key programmes such as training, business outreach, and audit services.

• Operational Leadership: Manage the charity’s day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient systems across HR, finance, and IT, while fostering a high-performing, collaborative remote team.

• Income Generation: Drive the development of income-generating initiatives, including corporate partnerships, training products, and services targeted at major corporate clients.

• Team & Project Management: Lead and motivate our remote team to deliver projects on time and within budget, managing external contractors and partners.

• Collaboration & Representation: Support the CEO in representing Anaphylaxis UK to external stakeholders, including corporate clients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an innovative, empathetic, and entrepreneurial leader who can translate strategic vision into tangible delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, experience in leading remote teams, and a proven track record in driving operational success.

Key skills and experience include:

• Proven senior leadership or management experience, ideally within a growing organisation.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver strategic goals with measurable outcomes.

• Experience managing remote teams, with a focus on team building, motivation, and accountability.

• A creative and visionary approach, with the ability to think big and generate income through training, products, and services targeted at corporate clients.

• Empathy and emotional intelligence, able to inspire a diverse team and align people with organisational goals.

A background in the charity or non-profit sector and/or knowledge of allergy management or experience in healthcare-related fields are desirable but not essential.

Trauma Foundation South West (TFSW) is seeking a half-time Director of Operations at an exciting period of growth for our small, but well-established and loved charity. 

Responsible to: Board of Trustees

Contract: Permanent Part Time, 6 months’ probation period

Working hours: 0.5 FTE/17.5 hours pw (occasional evening/weekend working)

Location: Flexible work from home with travel to Bristol as required (about 4 times a year)

Salary: Salary £38,850 (£19,425 pro rata)
