We are seeking a Stream for Strays Coordinator to run our new livestreaming fundraising initiative here at IAPWA. We’re looking for someone with a passion for video game streaming to help us explore this exciting opportunity to raise money for animals in need.
International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals (IAPWA) is a UK-registered animal welfare charity dedicated to creating a better future for animals in need.
Our first project, established in 2009, is based in Borneo where we provide a lifeline to thousands of dogs and cats every year in need of veterinary care and support. Our projects and support programmes for other species have since developed in other parts of the world, including Romania, Penang Island, the Philippines, and Tanzania.
Stream for Strays is our new fundraising initiative, encouraging gamers and other streamers to run charity livestreams for IAPWA. The foundations are in place, but we now need someone with a knowledge and passion for gaming to help us drive it forward. Our Stream for Strays Coordinator will be responsible for reaching out to streamers and game developers to create partnerships that will ultimately help us raise vital funds for animals in need.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that doesn’t necessarily have any professional experience in this area, but is keen to use their passion for good. By coordinating this project you’ll be able to drive measurable success, which will be great experience for any future roles in fundraising or even the gaming industry.
Key responsibilities
-
Contacting streamers to invite them to fundraise for IAPWA through charity livestreams.
-
Outreach to game developers to explore potential collaborations and partnerships.
-
Managing relationships with streamers to engage them with IAPWA’s work and ensure they feel supported with their fundraising.
-
Growing Stream for Strays from an idea into an effective method of fundraising, exploring new and exciting avenues to pursue.
No specific prior experience is required for this volunteer position - just a passion and knowledge for gaming and livestreaming that we can use as a force for good. You will need to have excellent attention to detail, confidence with online platforms, and the ability to work independently.
We would ask that you are able to commit 1-3 hours per week. While some tasks may occasionally be time sensitive, your hours can be flexible and can fit around your other commitments.
If you would like to help us raise vital funds for animals in need, we would love to hear from you. The deadline for applications is Tuesday 7th January 2025.
