We are looking for a Senior Marketing Executive to join our Marketing and Engagement team.

The Role

Based at our Head Office in Basingstoke, Hampshire, and reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will deliver engaging, creative, data-driven marketing campaigns targeting our beneficiaries and supporters across the UK’s fire services community. You’ll achieve this by utilising all our available media channels including email, websites, direct mail, social media, on/offline advertising and events.

In this fast-paced and exciting role, you’ll be supporting teams across our Charity to promote our health and wellbeing services to the deserving people we support. You will also assist our fundraising teams to generate the income needed to fund the diverse range of services we provide to the fire family.

This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Services Check.

About You

We’re looking for an enthusiastic marketer with experience delivering marketing campaigns that demonstrate a return on investment.

You will need to be confident communicator, calm under pressure and keen to evidence the success of your work through data analysis, you will be able to adapt your approach to suit different audiences and to translate marketing briefs and objectives into effective campaign activity.

Naturally creative and pro-active, this role would ideally suit someone who is keen to take the next step in their marketing career, who thinks on their feet to overcome challenges to deliver projects on-budget and on-time.

Job Title: Support and Development Worker

We are looking for someone who can cover the Teeside, County Durham, Northumberland, Cumberland and Tyne & Wear area. You will be home based but will be required to attend clinics, events and meet members one to one where necessary within your allocated area and occasionally across wider areas and nationally. 

Purpose of Job 

To deliver a high-quality service to and facilitate opportunities for individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families/carers through Shine membership.  To empower and enable members Living with the conditions to lead healthy and happy lives through greater independence, better condition management and by creating links to the Shine community across England. 

SHINE has just under 14,000 members with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus. This post will bring a real focus to the County Durham, Northumberland, Cumberland & Tyne & Wear area and will be an exciting opportunity to engage with members and develop and deliver the services we offer. 

Our Little Stars project for 0–12 year olds has been established for over 3 years supporting younger members and their families with their diagnosis and beyond. We also have a growing Teen membership known as FIRE (Friendship, Independence, Resilience, Equality) Working alongside our multi skilled, established team, you will be supporting members across all age groups and building on the great foundations already in place. 

Core role 

• To provide information to individuals, families, carers affected by Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus including hard to reach communities living within your area. 

• To provide advice, support and guidance to enable people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus to access the correct benefits to become financially stable, the right services to improve their health and well-being, and to better co-ordinate their support and independence through a variety of methods. This will include attending specialist clinics in the area to engage with them. 

• To refer individual members and/or their families/carers to the most appropriate source of expertise and support in Shine’s Health team and other designated leads within the organisation, or signpost to external agencies as appropriate. 

• To develop age-specific groups and peer support networks which will provide opportunities for people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus to connect and interact, enabling social opportunities and to share experiences, support and learn from each other. 

• To work with and develop opportunities for Shine volunteers. 

• To contribute to the delivery of regional and national programme of events to Shine’s membership, based on identified need and interests, geographical location and age. These will be face to face and virtual events.

• To provide information to professionals working with those individuals and families affected by Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus. 

• To raise greater awareness of Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus amongst professionals, external organisations and the general public through presentations, training and attendance at professional events. 

• To actively promote membership of Shine to people with the relevant conditions. 

• To keep clear and accurate records for monitoring and evaluation using our Salesforce database system. 

• To work with other service, fundraising, marketing, trust and foundations colleagues and Shine’s membership to identify and seize potential fundraising opportunities for long-term sustainability of the work. 

• To prepare and keep up to date a directory of relevant contacts across the area and to share relevant information with colleagues. 

• To undertake administrative duties as required of the role. 

• Any other duties in line with the job role. 

Essential criteria 

• Ability to travel across the designated areas

• Flexible working hours. This may include some evenings and weekends 

• Ability to work from home 

• The ability to be motivated and work on your own initiative with lone working from home, whilst also travelling across the area and Region to be part of the wider dispersed team.

Experience and qualifications – essential 

• At least two years’ recent experience of delivering support and advice services 

• Experience of working with people of all ages with disabilities 

• At least two years’ experience of advising on one or more of the following: 

health and wellbeing; independence; benefits; education and learning; employment; developing friendships and social skills; reducing isolation; social care; housing

• Experience of developing and delivering opportunities to enable and empower people with disabilities to achieve their goals towards independence. 

Knowledge, skills and abilities – essential 

• Understanding of spina bifida and hydrocephalus and of the issues and challenges faced by people living with these conditions 

• Ability to work with people individually and to facilitate and run group activities and events 

• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written 

• IT literate with a good knowledge of computer systems and programmes (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and use of databases 

• A non-judgemental approach to working with people 

Experience and Qualifications – desirable 

• Hold a qualification in a health, nursing, social care or disability related field 

• Experience of working in the third sector in a paid or unpaid capacity 

Knowledge, skills and abilities – desirable 

• Understanding of the role peer support plays in enhancing services and support to members 

• An awareness and understanding of how to use social media and its effectiveness in reducing social isolation

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.

The Felix Project is a dynamic, ambitious charity working to make London a city where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.

We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. If we did not rescue this food, it would be at risk of going to waste. Instead, we deliver it free of charge to over one thousand charities across London. Here at Felix’s kitchen we turn some of that surplus food into Felix Meals, ready to eat meals which go out to people all across London. Purpose of the Job 

To support in both the design & creation and the day to day running & implementation of Felix's Kitchen new employability programme and then be the key driving force behind delivering these programmes. 

You will be leading a team of chef apprentices, providing them with hands on skills training created by yourself alongside the accredited course, supporting them with functional skills training, being their day-to-day line manager and supporting other employability programmes within the Felix Project in particular Felix’s Kitchen other programmes.  

You will work alongside the wider Felix Kitchen team and support your programme to integrate into the main production kitchen. You will take a leading role in supporting Felix’s Kitchen at events and engagement opportunities, supporting the apprentices being a huge part of these events, both on and off site. The training kitchen will be your base and you will be responsible for the safe and effective running of this part of the kitchen, maximising its impact on the programmes as well as exploring other opportunities for its use, hosting visitors and charity partners. You will be a key part of all reporting and evaluations of our employability programmes.

The focus of parkrun UK’s Health and Wellbeing Team is to improve inclusivity, increase the diversity in participation and maximise the health and wellbeing impact of parkrun across the UK. Together with the HWB Manager and lead volunteers in Wales, the Outreach Officer will devise, implement and support the evaluation of Health and Wellbeing projects and campaigns across Wales. The focus will be on growing and diversifying participation in junior parkrun, especially focusing on those marginalised from opportunities to take part in social, physical activity, and who may be inactive/less active or in lower states of health.

Our Senior Practitioners will provide interim cover across SHP, providing supervisory support where needed to staff teams. This could include our Multiple Disadvantage and Complex Needs accommodation services, Young Peoples Services or Floating Support Services.

About the role and services:

Multiple Disadvantage and Complex Needs: These services provide accommodation and support to people who are moving from rough sleeping and who have needs relating to their mental and physical health, their substance addiction, offending behaviour and mental health. Often at the point of referral, a client’s needs have not been met by any of the services they may require. Part of our role is building the trusting relationships required to put the necessary support in place. Understandably, therefore, these services operate in challenging environments and require resilient and compassionate staff.

Young Peoples' Services: These services are dedicated to providing support to young people, specifically in relation to leaving care, offending behaviour, gang affiliation, complex mental health and anti-social behaviour. We work within a strengths and recovery framework embedded within a trauma informed approach to ensure client needs and aspirations are at the centre of the support planning process. Working in these services would mean overseeing the support and development of the young person’s needs and aspirations. The postholder will hold a caseload of complex cases and will be responsible for supporting the team to manage complex cases. You will guide and signpost the young person to the relevant statutory and non-statutory services and will be key in motivating and coaching the young person to develop independent living skills.

Floating Support Services: Focussed on fostering independence and empowering your clients, we work to support individuals to sustain their tenancy, enhance their wellbeing, build resilience, and achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether assisting with housing issues, addressing mental health concerns, or supporting the development of daily living skills, the primary goal is to enable clients to navigate challenges and lead fulfilling lives. All work undertaken will be in line with planned support, making sure that clients are actively involved and that the support offered is full and holistic. You would be part of a supportive and inclusive work environment that values teamwork and individual growth.

We are looking to recruit permanent staff with these qualities to provide SHP’s clients with consistent support in line with SHP’s values, delivery model, policies and procedures and support planning tools.

As a member of the Peripatetic Senior Practitioner Team, you will move between services and will generally cover a rota ‘line’ until we recruit to the vacancy that the worker is covering, providing interim supervisory support to staff teams as directed by the Team/Service manager. (In Multiple Disadvantage, Complex Needs and Young People Services, covering a rota 'line' will involve working on a rota that includes evening work and may also include regular weekend and Bank Holiday work.) You would then be reassigned to another service in need of your support. The role therefore provides an opportunity to model and share good practice between services.

SHP will support you with a comprehensive induction and training package, including how to work in SHP's trauma-informed support model.

About you:

• A high-level understanding and ability to manage the range of issues involved in the delivery of quality services to clients who may be at risk and who have complex mental health needs.
• Experience and an in-depth understanding of the principles and delivery of risk and needs assessment, planned support, goal setting and advocacy with clients within a recovery and strengths model, and the ability to share this and support others to deliver this.
• Demonstrable aptitude for monitoring, developing and supporting staff performance and the ability to motivate staff members to perform effectively.
• An ability to provide flexible and client centred solutions to problems of behaviour. Also, the ability to embed psychologically informed methods of work within an accommodation setting.
• A demonstrably high level of numeracy, literacy and comprehension in order to be able to contribute to budget setting, monitor expenditure, write reports and review, analyse and extrapolate from written information.
• Ability to co-ordinate the work of a number of individuals or agencies to get tasks completed to time and to specification.
• Strong networking skills, and proven ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to establish or improve services to service users.
• Specific skills and expertise support one of the SHP service groups - Adult Multiple Disadvantage and Mental Health Accommodation Services, Young People’s Services or Floating Support Services.

Oakview is a supported living project for 10 customers with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It provides a 24/7 support service, with an emphasis on choice and control for customers, enabling them to achieve greater independence, improved quality of life and integration into the wider community. Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. This includes providing personal care, domestic duties, emotional and social support in a person centred way. Staff will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

The service is staffed 24/7 and all staff is required to cover at least one sleep in a week.

What you'll do:

- If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer. In some services, this will include delivering personal and physical care as appropriate
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
- Participate in the support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker
- Carry out security duties to ensure the safety of the customers and premises
- Monitor the CCTV throughout the shift
- Enable customers to make full use of community facilities by providing support as directed
- Carry out support duties to enable customers to integrate into the community including e.g. accompanying the customer to attend benefit agency appointments and meetings, go shopping, to enquire at colleges about possible courses, to visit various public amenities

About the role

The Programme Manager will work in the Centre for Ageing Better’s Homes team.

Currently, millions of older people are living in homes that are unsafe – cold, damp, mouldy or with other types of hazards. The Homes team run a series of innovation, research, peer-support and influencing projects, that all seek to ensure that no one lives in a home that endangers their health, wellbeing or financial security. We work across local and national government and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.

The postholder would be responsible for collaborating with colleagues in the design, commissioning and delivery of a number of projects. The Programme Manager will use their creativity and experience to design work that has a clear route to impact, ensuring that everything we do has a traceable link back to the people we are trying to support.

The role will also require that effective programme management processes are followed to ensure effective, timely and impactful projects (e.g. milestone planning, budget management, risk, stakeholder engagement and delivery).

About you

You will be committed to trying to tackle the housing crisis, particularly for older people at risk of poverty, ill-health and facing discrimination. Knowledge of the current housing landscape and/or ageing issues would be an advantage but is not essential.

It is important that you can demonstrate excellent project management skills, designing and delivering projects that have a clear route to impact. Working collaboratively with others and experience writing and communicating complex ideas in an accessible way are essential.

You are likely to be overseeing projects that stimulate change at the local level through supporting service redesign processes, innovation practices and evaluation. Therefore, we are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience working with organisations to adopt new practices or undertake service redesign, and/or who have commissioned or participated in evaluations.

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to our senior leadership team of four individuals – our CEO, Executive Director of Services, Director of Operations, and Director of Growth. We are looking for a strategic and innovative individual with strong planning and organisational skills who is committed to the Growing Hope vision and values. As the charity grows we require support for project management and development of processes across the organisation. We’re looking for an individual who looks at the bigger picture, can help us with horizon scanning and can bring new ideas and processes to our ways of working.

Job Purpose
As Growing Hope reaches towards its vision to have twenty clinics by 2030, the Senior Team require additional support in order that they can fulfil the strategic direction of their roles. The Executive Assistant will be flexible and adaptable and able to help the team with streamlining processes as the charity grows. This role will provide essential daily support to the senior team including diary management, project management and process support across the organisation.   

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

Duties and responsibilities will be discussed and developed as the charity continues to grow. The role will involve: 

• Providing administrative support for the Senior Leadership Team, making effective use of their time by planning and managing their schedules through diary management, forward planning and managing deadlines. 
• Strategically developing processes to enable the senior leadership team to manage their work effectively. 
• Taking initiative within the team in order to support the function of the charity. 
• Having a flexible approach and working with individuals at all levels. 
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work and projects.
• Supporting standing meetings and committees: scheduling meetings in liaison with participants, compiling papers, taking and distributing minutes.
• Support managing inboxes as requested. 
• Managing complex diaries and scheduling meetings across the team.

• Support with policy and procedures. Helping to ensure policies and procedures are up to date and reflect current legislation. 
• Maintain data protection and confidentiality in line with Growing Hope’s information governance policy.

Project Management:

• Managing specific projects as agreed with the team for example, Fundraising Event planning, Christian Therapists Forum etc. 
• Liaising with external organisations to support various functions within the charity, including IT, HR, insurance, and governance.

At Cruse Bereavement Support, we are looking for a Trust and Foundations Manager to lead our vitally important trusts and foundations income stream. This is a key role for us, and we are looking for an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser looking to take this work to the next level. You will line-manage a Trusts and Foundations Officer and be part of a wider Partnerships Team, which includes national corporate partnerships, external training and consultancy. You will lead on working with colleagues from across Cruse to develop innovative new approaches to funding asks from trusts and foundations. Your relationship fundraising approach will enhance our work with existing partners and win the support of new funders. Your collaborative approach to internal working relationships will allow you to produce high quality funding applications and reports to funders.

This role is a remote role, but you will be an active member of the Cruse family, in daily contact with many colleagues from all areas of Cruse for video calls, phone calls, email and instant messaging. The hours are 35 per week (but would consider 30+ hours over 5 days).

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.

Our vision is a London where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.

We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. Campbell Rd Young Peoples service provides support and housing for 55 young people in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care of affected by youth homelessness. The Support Worker role will be to manage a caseload of approx 7-10 young people .You will be expected to deliver positive outcomes for all our young people and support them to reach independence, keep safe and maintain their tenancy's. Aside from support workers delivering support there is a strong element of housing management associated wit this role, for example managing rents, raising/monitoring repairs and health and safety.
