Chell Perkins Ltd are looking for FOUR people who are passionate about bringing positive change through fundraising. We want to nurture a new generation of fundraisers to provide charities with access to exceptional fundraising support.
We offer a four-month/16-week fully paid traineeship (approx £1,733pm gross) working with real clients in a fundraising consultancy and gaining a recognised certificate with education credits towards CFRE to give you a real headstart in working in the charity sector. There are a number of vacancies at Chell Perkins, and at the end of the course trainees will be eligible to apply for a permanent position.
This immersive programme starts on 1st September 2025 and is home-based, with high-quality training and plenty of support from our experienced fundraising team.

Client mix
Candidates should be aware that at present 70% of our partner charities come from a Christian background (churches or Christian charities). While it is not a requirement to be Christian, candidates must be happy to write for a faith-based audience.
Further information
This role is home-based; however, we hold quarterly in-person team days, and you may occasionally be required to work from client sites (nationally, with a North West focus).

Drive Partnership Practice Advisor

Salary: Point 42-45 £44,637- 47,667 (a London Allowance will be applied to employees who live in London, plus 6% employers pension subject to an additional 2% contribution by the employee).

About the role:
Working as a key member of the practice team, the Practice Advisor’s role is primarily to support and work alongside sites in the delivery of interventions from the three core strands of our work, to ensure they are delivering high quality interventions in line with the Drive Partnerships model and Respect standards. Tasks include training, quality assuring cases, and supporting and in some cases supervising the service managers and/or team leads in the continued development of their teams. It also includes being a key member of local forums and working with other members of the Drive Central team, local commissioners and local Drive partners, who are often Police Staff, local authorities and local voluntary sector provider, to think about the long-term development and sustainability of the projects.
The Practice Advisor supports new areas and services to mobilise and then works closely with them to ensure they are operating with fidelity to the model and to establish excellent practice. They will also be required to work with the key multi agency partners such as Police, IDVA and social care that are essential in making the project work.
The Drive Partnership is always trying to learn from delivery, and it is important that the Practice Advisor is able to identify themes that emerge across the sites they are supporting. Practice Advisors, alongside the different delivery strands managers, the deputy director and other members of the Drive Central Team look at ways to take these themes forward, continuously developing the models to ensure what is being delivered is best practice and compliments other strands of work such as national policy and systems change.
The Practice Advisors generally support multiple sites at once so need to be able to multitask and build effective communication across teams both internally and externally.

About you:
The candidate should have the following skills and experience:
· An excellent understanding of the IDVA and MARAC process and best practice when working with high-risk victims of domestic abuse.
· Experience of working with those with related/complex needs, for example substance misuse issues, mental health, offending history.
· Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to communicate effectively with different audiences.
· The ability to manage a complex workload, across multiple geographic regions, and effectively meet reporting deadlines and the needs of a wide range of stakeholders.
· Belief in the propensity for perpetrators to change their behaviour.

About the role
As the Child and Youth Participation Advisor, you will be part of the Child and Youth Participation team, which supports children and young people—particularly those from refugee and diaspora communities—in driving change across our campaigning, fundraising, communications, and governance efforts.
In this role, the Advisor will work on a variety of projects involving children and young people, including managing the Young Peacemakers' Assembly, leading key external partnerships, and developing new participation opportunities for schools and young campaigner networks. A key focus will be ensuring that engagement is sensitive and appropriate, particularly when working with children and young people who may have direct experience of conflict or displacement.
The Advisor will deliver projects both within the Child and Youth Participation team and in collaboration with colleagues across the organisation. This includes contributing expertise in child and youth participation within our cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams (known as squads), ensuring best practices are followed and that participation is safe, ethical, and meaningful.
In this role, you will:
• Lead engagement with the Young Peacemakers' Assembly, a group of young people from refugee and diaspora communities who work together to create campaigns. You may also work with other groups of children and young people, such as the Youth Advisory Board, Scouts, schools, young campaigner networks, and external partners, working closely with colleagues across teams.
• Plan and run projects that enable children and young people to actively participate in Save the Children's work.
• Design and deliver engaging activities, workshops, training, and events tailored for children and young people.
• Support and advise colleagues on best practices in child participation, including developing and delivering internal training and resources.
• Ensure all projects follow safeguarding policies and risk assessment processes to keep children safe.
• Manage communication with children involved in projects, including handling inboxes, obtaining consent, and gathering feedback to improve participation.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
• Experience working with diverse groups of young people in a professional or voluntary role, engaging them in campaigning, fundraising, programs, governance, or education to drive change. Ideally you will have direct experience of working with young people from refugee and diaspora communities.
• Proven ability to develop and design projects, campaigns, and activities specifically for children and young people.
• Strong facilitation skills, with knowledge of inclusive techniques to ensure meaningful participation, particularly when discussing difficult or emotionally sensitive subjects.

Training and Development Officer
Key responsibilities:
The postholder will deliver training and consultancy to staff in (mainly) primary, Early Years and secondary school settings. The training and consultancy we offer is often bespoke and so all delivery team members contribute to the development of new courses and resources as required.
The training and consultancy may relate to one of our projects (such as Local School Nature Grants or Climate School 180) or be commercial training requested by a setting or local authority.
Flexibility is important as travel will be required and delivery sessions may take place after normal school hours. It will usually be your responsibility to communicate with settings to agree dates and times for delivering the training. The settings may be local or some distance away, so planning your diary to combine visits to reduce travel may be appropriate. When agreed, overnight accommodation and car hire (within budget) may be required.
What would a typical week look like?
Southwest
There is no ‘typical’ week but for a full-time trainer it could look like this. This would of course be scaled down for the 4-day role. The assumption for example purposes makes the starting place Exeter.
Monday - Travel to Newquay for pm session. Travel home afterwards.
Tuesday - Travel to Bath for am session. Travel to Bristol for twilight session. Travel to Weston-Super-Mare postcode for overnight stay.

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to 2.7 million* means that one in five children don't have enough to eat. When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.
Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma. Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK.
The new UK government’s Children’s Wellbeing Bill outlined in the King’s Speech, includes a requirement for free school breakfast clubs in every English primary school. This is a fantastic start towards ending child morning hunger. Magic Breakfast’s influence will be instrumental to ensuring school breakfasts are introduced in a way that is hunger-focused and barrier free. In 2021, the Scottish Government, pledged a not yet enacted promise to provide breakfast to primary children.
Thousands of secondary school children are at risk of losing their free school breakfasts from September next year. For many of these students, this is their only opportunity to have a nutritious meal before facing a demanding school day, including taking exams.
Solutions across all UK nations are currently either not yet actioned or are severely underserving the current need. JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst with expertise in Microsoft (Power Platform) who is looking for an exciting opportunity to play an instrumental part in Magic Breakfast’s ongoing data transformation. About the opportunity:
The Tutor Communications Officer will work closely with the Communications and Media Manager to support all aspects of stakeholder communications and engagement at Action Tutoring. The role will require you to develop engaging and motivational content when communicating with our volunteer tutor network, schools and other stakeholders.
The Tutor Communications Officer will develop their data management and analytical skills, when evaluating the impact of communications and maintaining subscriber data. Key responsibilities of the role:
- Work with Communications and Engagement teams to create impactful communications that recruit new tutors, re-engage lapsed volunteers, and convert former tutors into long-term charity supporters.
