Research, Advisory and Policy Department (RAP)
The Research, Advisory and Policy Department (RAP) of 9 staff facilitates learning and provides guidance to improve peace policy and practice inside and outside CR.
RAP is responsible for the Accord publication series and cross-organisational research programmes, thematic policy advocacy, and the organisational approach to, and technical support to Programme Departments and the research team on gender and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) and policy advocacy. The RAP Department includes the CR EU team based in Brussels.
Job Purpose
The Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning leads on developing and implementing Conciliation Resources’ strategy, systems and skills for MEL in our peace practice. They ensure that MEL in CR serves to: evaluate the impact of our interventions; improve adaptability and effectiveness of our practice, including the objectives in our Gender Strategy; record, organise and learn from evidence of what works and what doesn’t; improve our knowledge base, culture and practice of capturing and measuring change; and inform CR and the wider peacebuilding sector about how to measure progress in peace initiatives.
The Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning acts as the technical lead on MEL, providing thought leadership, strategic guidance and technical advice to Programme and RAP teams on MEL; on learning goals in our Strategic Plan; on measuring progress towards our peacebuilding goals, our Theory of Change and our Results Framework; and on how to use MEL data for different strategic processes.
Scope and Accountability
The Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning is accountable to and line-managed by the
Director of Research, Advisory and Policy, and is a member of the Research, Advisory and Policy team. They work closely with CR Programme Departments and partners, Communications and Development teams, and the Executive Management Team. They are a member of the Team Leaders Forum.
Essential Knowledge, skills and experience
- Thorough knowledge of complexity aware approaches and methodologies for MEL at strategic, organisational and project level, including Outcome Harvesting.
- Experience in leading the design and implementation of MEL systems at organisation level.
- Experience of integrating gender into MEL frameworks and approaches.
- Experience of applying different MEL frameworks and techniques, such as logical frameworks, Outcome Harvesting, theories of change and participatory techniques to programme design.
- Experience in delivering MEL training and capacity building support online and in person.
- Experience of staff line management and the procurement and management of consultants.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, and to work collaboratively with a flexible approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to communicate complex information and arguments clearly and accurately.
- Strong facilitation skills, including in online format.
- Excellent evaluative and creative thinking skills. Ability to handle a complex and changing workload meeting internal and external deadlines.
- Capacity to listen actively to people from varying backgrounds having a range of political, cultural, and value orientations.
- Good political judgement, including an appreciation of how to handle sensitive and confidential issues.

Finance Clerk (maternity cover)

The Regional PMER and Learning Advisor collaborates with country and regional teams to ensure successful implementation of PMER Core Procedures, focusing on compliance and quality assurance. Key accountabilities among others include:
Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Processes:
- Support regional and country programme teams to ensure compliance and quality assurance of PMER Core Procedures across the region.
- Assist the Regional team in planning and reporting by collaborating with Country PMER staff, Regional management, and key departments.
- Ensure robust programme monitoring, Quarterly Management Reviews (QMRs), and evaluations are integrated into country programmes and reported consistently, in alignment with the Global Performance Measurement Framework (GPMF).
- Oversee the accurate and up-to-date use of the programme system for planning and reporting purposes across country and regional programmes.
Programme System and Data Management Support:
- Collaborate with PMER Country, Regional teams, and the POT team (UK) to ensure data and information are consolidated for Regional Management and reporting processes.
- Assist Regional and Country teams in extracting, managing, and using data from programme systems like Power BI dashboards for planning, reporting and decision-making.
- Support country teams in analysing and reflecting on data from various sources to inform project adaptations and future programme design.
- Provide technical support and capacity development to system users by maintaining protocols, updating procedures, and offering training.
- Prepare high quality technical reports by collecting, analysing and summarising information and trends to inform decision-making at the regional level.
Promote Learning and Sharing of best practices:
- Collaborate with country teams to integrate regular reflection and learning practices, generating evidence and capturing lessons to guide programme design and planning.
- Ensure learning activities are promoted, prioritised, coordinated and where necessary develop and deliver high-quality training using best practices.
- Promote and manage internal and external knowledge sharing through platforms like websites, webinars, social media, and eLearning exchanges.
- Build strong networks with key stakeholders to integrate WaterAid’s evidence and learning into the WASH sector and beyond.
To be successful, you will need the following:
- A university degree in Economics, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Statistics, Research or other related fields.
- A master’s degree in the same fields listed above will be an added advantage.
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in economic and data analysis, Statistics and Research.
- Proven experience in planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting (PMER) preferably in a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene focused INGO.
- Good knowledge of data collection methodologies, tools, and processes. Proficient in generating and synthesizing knowledge, with strong skills in research, data analysis, and the use of software and database applications for programme monitoring and learning.
- Highly skilled in using Microsoft Office, Power BI, SharePoint, and web-based management and knowledge systems, with experience in handling data quality assurance and reviewing project indicators.
- Experience in using information systems to inform programme decision-making and monitor progress.

The Finance Officer – Disability Inclusive Development (DID) will deliver the day-to-day financial administration of the DID programme to ensure all financial requirements of the projects are fully met. Key duties will include:
- To develop, review and amend coordinating and implementing consortium partner contracts and budgets to enable project delivery with the guidance of the Head of Inclusive Futures
- Coordinate the process for timely and accurate donor financial submissions including core monthly financial expenditure reports, forecasts and ad hoc requests.
- Work with the Head of Finance to develop tools to improve financial analysis throughout the project, for instance Power-BI dashboards, using data linked from the programme financial database (MyCLAIMS)
- Support the preparation of financial reports and forecasts for the donor.
- Deliver the day-to-day finance and administration tasks on the DID project including partner transfers, cost recovery, fund management, procurement, manage the assets register.
To succeed in this role you will need:
- An understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunity for people with disabilities
- Experience of institutional donor or large-scale contract management. In particular experience of FCDO funding would be useful.

FareShare Midlands is the region’s largest food redistribution charity. We take good-to-eat surplus food from the food industry and get it to our Members - frontline charities and community groups all over the Midlands. We turn an environmental problem into a social solution.

It is sorted and stored by our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers, and then redistributed to around 800 Members including food pantries and cafes, homeless shelters and drop-in centres.
These local organisations turn the food into food parcels, affordable shopping and delicious meals for people of all ages. As well as food, our Members provide vital support to families and the elderly, many of whom are facing challenging circumstances and living in poverty.
Last year our food reached more than 83,000 vulnerable people every week, providing 13 million meals. At the same time, we are growing our Employability Programmes to help people gain work experience, skills and jobs.

The Role
This important role will represent FareShare Midlands and engage with the food industry in the Midlands, to develop and grow volumes of surplus food.
Using your account management skills you will manage existing and new business relationships, growing our supply base and ensuring rewarding and sustainable relationships for the partner. You will need determination and drive to work effectively with a wide range of businesses and organisations. The role involves working closely with the FareShare Midlands Food Sourcing Manager and FareShare UK Teams to strengthen our capability to source and accept more food. As well as managing existing food partners and spending time researching and contacting potential new local food suppliers in the region, the role includes researching and making new contacts and following up leads. By working closely with the FareShare Midlands Food Sourcing Manager we ensure coordination on management of UK wide food partner accounts as well as consistency of approach and delivery of national initiatives where appropriate.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Business Development and Relationship Management
· Act as a point of contact for a portfolio of existing local food partners and the regional sites of selected National Food Partners
· Research and develop new relationships with food partners and food industry stakeholders across the Midlands.
· Build strong relationships and engage with food partners and stakeholders on a regular basis
· Meet existing and potential food partners to competently and effectively present the benefits of working with FareShare
· Engage with accounts to prompt donations of food through regular phone calls, emails and face to face contact
· Support food partners in identifying surplus food through carrying out factory ‘waste walks’ and engaging employees appropriately
· Work closely with the Food Team and the Supply Chain & Logistics Team to ensure any supply or account management issues are promptly and satisfactorily resolved
· Provide regular food partner impact reporting, case studies and recognition
· Capture feedback from our food partners about their relationship with FareShare
Team Work and Reporting
· Work closely with the FareShare Midlands management team to support delivery of the strategy and ensure effectively communication and team working.
· Work in conjunction with the Food Supply Manager and the FareShare UK Food Team to ensure smooth management of accounts which span the UK and the Midlands.
· Attend Regional Food Sourcing meetings and support the Food Team members and initiatives as required.
· Feedback to the team ideas for improving the existing processes and operations linked to the provision of food.
· Efficiently plan and undertake visits, planning your diary to use time and FareShare’s resources effectively to minimize travel time and expense while maximising potential opportunities during business hours.
· Work closely alongside regional sourcing colleagues across the UK and regularly attend regional sourcing team meetings.

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Did you know that every year we need to raise £6.5m to keep our doors open and only around 16% of our income comes from government sources, the rest has to be raised through fundraising activity.
Our services include short overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team support these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.
We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The role:
As our Fundraising Business Partner, you will be at the forefront of our regional fundraising team. We offer free advice, support, counselling, therapy and group work to adults, children and young people who have been affected by abuse and trauma and provide trauma-informed care through a range of services designed to foster recovery and empowerment.
We have a brilliant opportunity for a highly organised and effective Administration and Operations Lead to play a pivotal role in the smooth running of our organisation. You will be instrumental in ensuring day-to-day operations run effectively, allowing us to focus on providing crucial support to survivors of abuse.
This role combines leading operations and administrative support with trustee liaison responsibilities. It also encompasses management of a small team.
