We are looking for a passionate Freedom Team Leader to be responsible for day-to-day running of Freedom, a pet fostering service for individuals fleeing domestic abuse, in South East of England.
About this role:
As Freedom Team Leader, you’ll:
- support pets and their owners through the referral and placement process, assessing the dogs and matching them with fosterers where appropriate.
- recruit, manage and work closely with our wonderful volunteer fosterers, providing them with ongoing support, veterinary cover and advice throughout their placement,
- work closely with the management team to promote the service offer, building relationships with owners and referral organisations, such as refuges and abuse support services.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need significant experience of assessing and handling a variety of dogs in a rescue or rehoming centre environment, while also having a good understanding of domestic abuse and the problems faced by individuals fleeing domestic abuse with pets. A large part of this role involves driving and/or transporting dogs in a small van across the region daily, so candidates should have experience of driving as part of a previous role.

About the team:
The Outreach team runs several projects supporting pet owners who are homeless or in housing crisis in the UK, including Freedom, a pet fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse. Most referrals come from women fleeing domestic abuse via women-only services. The service places dogs into volunteer foster homes on a temporary basis until their owners are able to be reunited with them. The Freedom Project runs in Greater London and the Home Counties, Yorkshire, the North East, the North West, East Anglia, Scotland, Wales, and Hampshire.
This role is homebased but will involve significant travel across South East England (specifically Greater London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Essex and Hampshire) and to other Freedom areas when required. Due to the nature of this role, this post is for women only and is exempt under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. A basic Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS) will be required for this role.

The role
This role will support the Financial Controller to deliver a high-quality payments and cash management service. The role of the Cash and Payments Manager is to oversee the Operational Finance team (3 people) and be responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting on all cash transactions. You will manage cash management systems and processes, recommending and implementing any improvements to current processes and controls.
You will review and approve bi-weekly supplier/expenses payment runs ensuring that there is sufficient cash available and review, sample check and provide second stage approval for payment run files on the banking systems to ensure accurate payments.

Our client provides support to people who are either experiencing or at risk of homelessness and / or have support needs. Our client is looking for an exceptional manage to take over responsibility for the management and delivery of their Housing Advice and Assessment Hub, providing a range of services for people experiencing homelessness, including people rough sleeping.
As an organisation, they offer help with building confidence whilst developing independent living skills and supporting people to address substance misuse or other health and wellbeing issues.
The role
- To foster an environment where meaningful connections are made with service users which maximise engagement and take up of services on offer.

We are seeking a Legacy Giving Manager to develop strong, gospel-centered partnerships with a growing community of legacy pledgers. You’ll craft compelling propositions that give pledgers confidence their legacy gift to LCM will create a lasting gospel impact. You’ll provide them with meaningful ways to connect with LCM, so they can understand the impact of their gift more deeply.
You’ll also collaborate with external specialists and LCM’s finance team to ensure a sensitive, relational approach with family executors, while handling the efficient, accurate administration of all legacy gifts to meet audit standards.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Have at least two years fundraising experience
- Excellent experience of creating fundraising or marketing campaigns with a compelling call to action
- Proven experience of growing income through relationship fundraising
- Experience of managing projects involving internal stakeholders and external suppliers

You will be the first point of contact for staff with regards to a wide range of HR issues, ensuring that all queries are dealt with promptly or escalated where appropriate. CIPD qualified (or working towards this) or with equivalent administrative experience gained in a HR environment, you will be confident in addressing queries from staff at all levels. The Quality Improvement Coordinator is a crucial role for the College as you will coordinate and project manage a range of activities within the QI team, including web portal upkeep, horizon scanning of QI and patient safety activity in paediatrics and child health as well as providing QI support for RCPCH members and QI event coordination.
As Quality Improvement Coordinator, you will take the lead on the upkeep, revisions, growth and promotion of the QI Central and Patient Safety Portal websites and other associated webpages, including liaising with content providers.
Reporting to the Head of Quality Improvement, you will carry out four-nations environment and horizon scanning of quality improvement and patient safety activity relevant to paediatrics and child health, whilst exploring opportunities to improve our QI offer using insights from data analytics associated with the Patient Safety Portal and QI Central platforms, and shared learning from other QI projects.
In addition you will manage and plan contact from members via email, web-portals, our community/time banking suite and social media platforms, whilst also identifying opportunities to promote QI and patient safety in child health through these communications channels.
With a good standard of education, you should have relevant project coordination skills and demonstrable experience in desk research, including internet and database searches.
You should have strong organisational skills and proven experience of delivering multiple objectives to high standards within short time frames and meeting multiple deadlines, along with good communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills as you will frequently liaise with members, senior officers and staff.
Your experience of design and production of digital communications and engagement resources in addition to your well-developed experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications will ensure you are capable of managing updates on our websites and social media platforms.
Experience with website management, WordPress and Google Analytics as well as a background in supporting and coordinating external events, including face-face meetings, webinars and hybrid events, would be desirable.
The Quality Improvement team supports paediatricians and the wider child health workforce to be at the forefront of continuous quality improvement, providing opportunities to develop and share their work and to co-produce solutions with children and young people, and their families.
The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community.
