This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant looking for an organisation with purpose, where your work makes a difference to vulnerable children every day.
As a key member of the senior team, this multi-faceted role will provide opportunities to be involved in all aspects of the work of the CEO office, including leading on specific projects, assisting in the organisation of special events and involvement with our work in India, Tanzania and the UK.
You will be the primary contact for internal and external communications with the CEO and our Trustees, whilst also meticulously administering and overseeing our governance responsibilities and processes. You will provide professional and confidential business support to the Group CEO, Directors and Board of Trustees, giving you a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in all areas of the charity.
JOB PURPOSE
• To provide professional and confidential business support to the Group CEO and UK leadership team, ensuring key initiatives are delivered by coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
• To support the leadership team and Group Board of Trustees to efficiently and meticulously perform our governance responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive support to the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO):
• Proactively manage and coordinate the diary of the CEO by prioritising and arranging internal and external meetings, ensuring they are fully prepared for all internal and external engagements.
• Oversee the management of the CEO Outlook mailbox, dealing with incoming emails, categorising and filing these
as appropriate, responding on behalf of the CEO and triaging or delegating to other team members where relevant.
• Organise domestic and international travel arrangements, including liaising with internal and external contacts to arrange
meetings. Ensure that time is prioritised effectively and appropriately with reasonable timings and rest periods.
• Work closely with the CEO to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
• Ensure that papers and briefings are given to the CEO for meetings and that any instructions/directions are obtained prior to the meeting.
• Provide timely and relevant information to support decision making and planning, dealing with people at the most senior level both internally and externally and appropriately representing Railway Children at all times.
• Collate, prepare and disseminate information and data as required by the CEO (for internal and external correspondence,
papers, PowerPoint presentations, reports, and providing appropriate information for meetings and events).
• Undertake desktop research as necessary to support the CEO’s preparation for meetings and presentations.
• Project manage special projects for the CEO when required.
• Monitor and triage relevant social media channels and codraft content with the CEO to increase profile and visibility.
• Ensure all administrative tasks are completed on behalf of the CEO including, but not limited to, expenses and annual leave requests.
• Act with the highest levels of integrity, confidentiality and discretion at all times.
Leadership Team Executive Assistance:
• Coordinate, plan and minute leadership team meetings. Develop agendas and papers and ensure that key discussions and actions are followed up.
• Assist in the organisation of all staff away days including room bookings and catering, agenda organisation and logistical support on the day.
• Assist the Leadership Team in the effective implementation of our annual planning process under the direction of the Group CEO.
• Oversee the management of leadership team diaries and support with national and international travel arrangements.
• Provide administrative support and initiate planning for key strategic meetings, including venue bookings and logistics.
• Support the Group Director of People & Culture in the administration of HR matters in line with GDPR guidance, including recruitment, trustee engagements, DBS checks and employee communications.
• Coordinate Performance Management Review meetings and paperwork on behalf of the leadership team.
• Assist with the administration of procurement processes as required.
• Collate, prepare and disseminate information and data as required by the leadership team. Accurately review, proofread and assist with materials ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Group Board & Governance
• Work closely with the leadership team to ensure that there is appropriate co-ordination of Board, sub-committee and leadership team meetings and an effective flow of information.
• Plan and coordinate Group Board and sub-committee meetings including scheduling dates, organising agendas,
minuting meetings and circulating papers.
• Support the Head of Safeguarding and Quality Assurance with core policy documents, liaising with the leadership team to
review dates and ensure updated policies are scheduled for approval at Group Board and sub-committee meetings.
• Manage production and circulation of Board papers. Liaise with the leadership team to ensure reports are received to
deadlines, providing editorial inputs to ensure reports are of the highest quality before review by the Chief Executive.
• Proof-read and distribute Board minutes, ensuring timely follow up on any actions.
• Assist the Group Director of People and Culture in the recruitment and rotation processes for Group Board members.
• Liaise with our CEO, Trustees and legal partners to undertake the administration of our governance responsibilities.
General duties
• Uphold and work within Railway Children’s policies and procedures.
• Conduct yourself in accordance with the rules of the Child and Adult Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct in your personal and professional life – which includes reporting suspicions of child abuse or any other breach of these policies.
• Actively promote and embody Railway Children’s core values across the organisation.
• Travel to Railway Children’s field operations as and when required.
• Undertake any other duties, as appropriate to the post, as delegated by the line manager.

The Alliance Coordinator role will support the Alliance Manager by overseeing administrative tasks, communicating with stakeholders and ensuring support is available across the alliance. Experience of liaising effectively with a variety of individuals, organisations, and service providers at all levels is essential to ensure good relationship building and effective communication.

Summary
- Work collaboratively with the Housing Project Manager to set up and deliver the project.
- Build and maintain relationships with dioceses, parishes, cathedrals etc. to encourage interest and commitment to housing initiatives.
- Use the Mapping tool to research housing opportunities at the request of dioceses.
- Handle applications to the small grants programme, working with the Grants Panel to assess their merits and decide and communicate the outcome of applications.
- Work collaboratively with the Housing Project Manager to set up and deliver the project.
- Expertise in the use of Geographical Information Systems and spatial data, and in interpreting the data they reveal.

- A salary of £46,577 per annum plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of salary.

Who we are:

Summary of the role:
The Global Programmes Assistant reports directly to the Global Programmes Manager and will primarily be responsible for providing support functions to the International Programmes team. The role requires excellent organisational, teamwork and numeracy skills, to work with key stakeholders to ensure an effective, efficient and quality delivery of development and emergency response programmes. The Global Programmes Assistant also supports the administrative work of the department, including the preparation and tracking of project payments, and maintaining partner due diligence records.
About the Role:
- Provide programme and administrative assistance to Country Programmes and Programmes Partnerships teams as required including support with the development and production of project proposals.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining the Project Tracker and SharePoint site.
- Maintain soft (and if required hard copies of) programme files, provide filing assistance to the team and support archiving.
- Ensure the timely submission of quarterly and completion reports, and support the review of seasonal and small-medium project reports as delegated by Country Programmes and Programmes Partnerships teams
- Maintain and review the report supporting documents including field reports, financial evidence, centrally agreed documents, media and case studies.
- Support the development of IPD wide administrative systems.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience of working within a Programme Support/administrative role.
- Experience of working with budgets and/or processing payments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders and employees at all levels.
- High degree of organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and utilise any software adopted by Muslim Aid.
- Ability to work under pressure, be proactive and work on own initiative.

NEF are looking for a talented Senior Economist to lead our policy and research work on social policy issues, with a particular focus on social security, work and incomes.
In this role, you would help NEF to make the case for an adequate and supportive social security system, both to reduce poverty but also to improve conditions in the labour market and help more people into good jobs. Alongside this, you will also support with wider work on housing and public services.
This role will manage an exciting programme of work at a critical time, following the recent change of government. You will be a passionate champion of our work – influencing policy and decision makers in government, the civil service political parties, as well as civil society organisations and media who are shaping the debate. About SUDEP Action
SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on stopping preventable epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP – Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy, when someone with epilepsy dies and no other cause can be found for their death). By representing the voices of those who have died and those who are bereaved, we aim to learn from their deaths and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives.

The Role
With our current CEO going on maternity leave, we’re looking for someone with CEO experience who can efficiently step into this position and keep the work of the charity positively progressing towards achieving our ambitions and goals.
This is an important time in the charity’s history, with a growing team working hard to meet the increasingly complex needs of epilepsy and epilepsy bereaved communities, so we need an interim CEO who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and can quickly get up and running to play a leading role in increasing our reach, impact and opportunities.
Across the team, there is a wealth of knowledge and expertise that the right candidate will tap into and nurture as part of their leadership. They will be supported in their role by the Deputy CEO (who heads up our Bereavement Services), a strong Management team and the Board of Trustees. While we’re currently in a good financial position and have a solid income stream from our fantastic Community Fundraisers, we cannot be complacent and need someone financially astute to ensure the charity remains sustainable and is able to continue to grow.

Shifts from 6:45pm or 9:45pm to 7.15am (plus additional time if allocated driver). Hours and days of work will vary according to the needs of the service.
We are looking to recruit exceptional individuals with an open, collaborative style and a practical, can-do approach to provide a vital nightly service for our guests as Overnight Project Workers.

While experience of working within the homelessness sector or with similarly vulnerable people would be desirable, an understanding of the needs of people experiencing homelessness and working in a compassionate and flexible manner is more important and essential.
Flexibility is required, as you will be working a shift rota that will include weekends and public holidays. Due to the vulnerable group you will be working with, you will be asked to undergo an enhanced DBS check as part of our safeguarding measures prior to appointment.
Please note:
Some of our Overnight Project Workers are required to have a driving licence and be able to drive a manual vehicle.
However, this post also is still suitable for those that want a non-driving role.
On each shift, one of the two Overnight Project Workers will be an allocated driver and is expected to drive the van back to its local base in Fulham or Wandsworth, depending on the shelter circuit. The allocated driver for the shift will receive an additional hour of pay for this task.
What you will do as part of our team
The Overnight Project Worker is responsible for the following:

- Maintaining a friendly, supportive environment and cultivating positive relationships with guests, colleagues, and volunteers.
- Following best practice procedures for the security and safety of the guests and volunteers.
- Diffusing difficult or dangerous situations and summon assistance when necessary. Training will be provided. Writing regular shift reports using the In-Form client relationship platform.
- Carrying out regular checks around the shelter, checking conditions of all areas.
- Ensuring that the van is loaded correctly with shelter provisions and that no Glass Door belongings are left on site.
- Adhering to Glass Door’s operational and health & safety policies in all aspects of your work. Maintaining clear lines of communication with your colleagues including the Night Shelter Manager, Caseworkers, and the Operations Manager.
- Ensuring cleaning protocols are followed and implemented.
- Undertaking any other duties to aid the good running of the project, as required by the Shelter Manager or Operations Manager.
- Accurately reporting observations, interactions, concerns and actions with guests to their caseworker using written reports.
- Setting up and help serve a simple breakfast for guests in the morning
- Ensuring all guests are woken from 6am onwards and leave the building by 7am
- Flexibility is required, as you will be working a shift rota that includes weekends and public holidays.
On occasions you will also be expected to attend training, team meetings and other activities as required. The allocated driver is expected to drive the van back to its allocated base at the end of the shift to which an additional hour of pay applies for this task.

We are recruiting two Mentoring Project Officers to support the Project Manager in delivering our high-quality 1-year Mentoring Programme that supports young carers aged 14-16 to achieve goals tailored to their needs. Each cohort will be delivered through a combination of 1:1 mentoring and monthly groups with a maximum of 8 mentees and 2 mentors. The programme aims to help the mentees improve their educational attainment, identify routes into further and/or higher education and apprenticeships, increase independence skills, build confidence, access appropriate services, reduce isolation and build resilience.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting young carers to reach their full potential. We do not expect you to have direct experience of mentoring nor working with young carers but we do expect you to have empathy, good listening skills and a strong knowledge of the needs and common challenges of young people aged 14-16 with a desire to make a real difference in their lives.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong partnerships with community organisations and to generate and maintain steady referrals to the programme. You will be required to assess young carers’ needs and in conjunction with the other Mentoring Project Officer, deliver one-to-one and group support to the mentees, carefully monitoring their progress. Further to this, you will be responsible for responding to safeguarding concerns and maintaining strong professional boundaries.

Main duties and responsibilities
Partnerships and Referrals

To work with schools, local carer services and community organisations to create and develop referral and access pathways into and out of the mentoring programme and to promote the programme as widely as possible.

To ensure partners are kept up to date with information about the mentoring programme and are supported to make referrals on an ongoing basis

Provided consent is gained, to report back to the referral organisations to highlight progress that is achieved through the mentoring programme as well as any challenges.

To set up and deliver regular school outreach sessions to generate referrals

To represent YCDT an any relevant external networking meetings
Young Carer Assessments and Support
-
To carry out thorough assessments of young carers referred to YCDT to understand their support needs in order to provide appropriate mentoring.

To explain the Mentoring Programme to young carers who may have never heard of the term ‘mentoring’ before.

To build relationships of trust with the young carers so that they can inform you of any problems arising within the mentoring sessions and so that you can effectively track their progress.

To provide between 4-6 one-to-one mentoring sessions for each mentee.

To deliver 6 x monthly group work sessions for each mentee with an anticipated total of 16 cohorts per annum.

At the end of each group work cohort to jointly deliver a celebration activity.

To transport young carers to and from each group work session and celebration event.

To keep in contact with your mentees throughout their mentoring to ensure they are being supported effectively and are happy with their mentoring sessions.

With each mentee, to write a support plan upon completing the programme to identify continued community support.
Monitoring and Evaluation

To ensure our Lamplight CRM is up to date and has accurate information, including updating case notes and safeguarding concerns in a timely manner.

To ensure you and the other mentor complete session reports after each mentoring session and complete an Outcomes Star at the initial assessment, midway through the mentoring and upon completion.

To monitor and evaluate the service, including gathering and uploading data from evaluation forms and surveys.

To attend regular supervisory sessions with the Service Manager and produce verbal/written reports on the programme as appropriate.
Other Duties

In conjunction with the Service Manager, support the delivery of an annual Young Adult Carer Aspirations Conference.

To jointly design and develop the group work sessions and adapt to feedback as needed.

To process all expenses, invoices and receipts in line with financial management systems and adhere to budgets in line with funding requirements.

To act at all times in compliance with all policies and procedures of YCDT and ensure systems are managed in line with GDPR.

To undertake training relevant to the job in order to keep up to date with issues relevant to providing good service for young carers and our partners.

To undertake any other appropriate duties relevant to the post.
