Earlier this year, we launched our new Regional Clinical Lead roles across England. We are now recruiting 2 more Regional Clinical Leads to join the Excellence Network and lead their regional network in the South West and East of England.

Last month, the Excellence Network moved to a new regional model in England and introduced the 7 newly-formed Parkinson’s Excellence Network (PEN) regions in England, with the boundaries aligned to the 7 NHS England regions. Click here to read more about the new model. 

The regional model in the devolved nations remains the same: there are 3 regions in Scotland, 2 in Wales and 1 region in Northern Ireland.

To help us deliver this new regional model, we are gradually recruiting the consultancy services of Regional Clinical Leads in each of the 7 regions in England. So far, we have appointed 2 Regional Clinical Leads in the North West of England and in the North East and Yorkshire.

Who can apply?

Any UK-based healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with an interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged to apply.

You’ll have a good understanding of the landscape of health and social care delivery, education and workforce development to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.

Time commitment: 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.

Remuneration: monthly rate based on skills and experience.

Term of consultancy services: 3 years from date of appointment, with an option to extend for a further 3 years. You can then re-apply for the role if you wish.

The Evaluation Officer role is a specialist post created to support the management, development and implementation of evaluation programmes across Alzheimer’s Society. The role is pivotal to promoting a culture of continuous improvement across all directorates. The post holder will support the Evaluation and Impact Team in the development and implementation of evaluation and impact measurement programmes for support services, influencing and research activities across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. 
You are someone who is passionate about making a difference for people affected by dementia and understand the important role that evaluation plays in making this happen. You also appreciate the complexities that come with working in a large and fast-moving organisation but are able to prioritise tasks and manage your time effectively to get the job done. The successful candidate will benefit from working as part of a small and supportive team, whilst also taking responsibility for a number of their own evaluation projects. They will connect with colleagues across the Society to understand areas of work and develop appropriate evaluation approaches, provide evaluation support and recommendations, report on and share findings.

Our Activity Service

The Activity Service is an important part of our organisation, delivering high quality activities to the older people of Merton. Our Activity team create and deliver a wide range of activities including a daily lunch club, crafting, poetry, singing and exercises at our centre in Mitcham and other locations across the borough of Merton.

The Activity service is busy and vibrant where no two days are the same, the service has over 10,000 attendees a year, taking part in over 700 activities and exercise classes. The service enables our community to live more healthily, happily and independently in later life.

About the Role

We are recruiting an Activity Coordinator to support the Activity Service Manager in the delivery and development of the Activity service.

The Activities Coordinator will be a hands-on role, working with the team who deliver a wide range of activities both existing and new at our centre and across the borough of Merton.

The role will deputise for the Activities Service manager and has line manager responsibilities overseeing both the team and the delivery of activities. This role will work closely with the volunteers who support the service, building on the current volunteer programme to develop the volunteer role and experience.

The role will play a key part in organising the delivery of existing activities, ensuring they are delivered to an exceptional standard with the service users at the heart of the service.

About You

You are an enthusiastic, motivated and organised person who has experience of supervising a team of staff or volunteers, you have excellent people skills and are looking for a role where real impact is made. Based at: Elmwood Centre in Mitcham and various locations across Merton. This role requires the delivery of activities in person at our centre.

Age UK Merton supports over 3,000 older people a year, our mission is to provide quality advice and services that meet the needs of older adults in Merton.

Key Result areas

· Innovate, develop, and deliver a wide range of new and existing activities for service users.

· Encourage clients to attend and participate in a range of activities

· Deputizing for the Activity Centre Manager.

· Create and collate feedback from service users.

· Identify and develop existing volunteer roles within the Activity Service.

· Work collaboratively with other Age UK Merton Services and teams to provide help and advice to clients who are identified as needing additional support.

· Building strong collaborative relationships with external partners who deliver exercise classes.

Organisation and Coordination of Activities

· To organise the delivery of all activities and exercise classes in the centre.

· To be actively involved in the ongoing development and design new activities held across the borough.

· To support the planning and development of Age UK Merton’s quarterly activity guide to include all events at Age UK Merton.

· To plan and coordinate the distribution of the activity guide across the borough with out team of volunteers.

· To encourage the attendance of activities to new and existing clients.

Volunteers

· Working with the Volunteer Service develop the volunteer programme to deliver an impactful and supportive experience for all the volunteers who support the Activity team.

· Coordinate and organise the team of volunteers who support the Activity service.

Administrative Duties

· Introduce new ways to pay for activities such as online bookings.

· Take bookings for all activities and input details on to the CRM.

· Answer telephone enquiries for the Activity centre.

· Greet all clients and volunteers attending the Activity centre.

Data Capture, Evaluation and Reporting.

· Respond to feedback and suggestions from clients to develop activities.

· Keep records up to date on the CRM for attendees of all activities.

· Working with the Activity Service Manager to expand the delivery of activities into areas of the borough not currently served.

· Working with the Activity Manager to develop client feedback opportunities.

· Support the Activity Manager to identify and write up case studies for funding applications.

· Use the CRM to run reports to support funding bids and reporting.

General

· Establish good working relationships with all relevant stakeholders and liaise as required Comply at all times with the policies and procedures of Age UK Merton.

· Ensure that Age UK Merton’s Equal Opportunities policies, principles and practices are observed and implemented throughout service delivery.

· Carry out any other relevant tasks as required, to ensure the effective development of the organisation and the delivery of its services, this may include supporting weekend and out of hours events for time off in lieu.

And, when it comes to helping deliver on our Individual Giving strategy, working with teams in IG to increase lifetime value of cash, regular giving, and lottery supporters, managing budgets or working on new products and propositions, again, we’ll count on you.

About you

Passionate about providing outstanding supporter experiences and face-to-face fundraising as a direct marketing channel, you’ll also need a real enthusiasm for motivating and teaching others about Shelter’s work. A proactive forward thinker, you have a keen eye for detail, are used to working in matrix teams, great at building relationships and a skilled communicator who enjoys sharing knowledge with others. What’s more, you’re a confident decision maker who’s eager to learn more about the F2F fundraising industry and Shelter as a whole.

Experience of face-to-face fundraising would be particularly useful, while an interest to learn more about project management and development is key. Someone who knows how to utilise insight, including the motivations, interests and behaviours of supporters or customers to guide decisions, you’re used to optimising and reviewing campaigns and using data to interpret, analyse and convey results. Equally important, you’re willing to challenge the status quo and introduce new ideas, methods and processes and to critique campaigns and materials to assess and improve.

About the role

We're looking for a motivated Marketing Executive to join our team. 

You will be providing creative and administrative support of our marketing communications as well as co-ordinating our marketing activity.

About the role

As a Chapter Member at the National Deaf Children's Society, you'll be in a Chapter of like-minded and skilled specialists, experts, and emerging experts. Chapters are self-organising, and every member has a vital role to play, sharing their skills, knowledge and experience and learning and developing together. Led by the Chapter Lead all Chapter Members will value and respect each other's contribution and learn and develop collaboratively.

This role will design, implement and manage systems to ensure that fundraising and marketing activity is of a high quality, complies with relevant legislation and sector codes and is consistent with National Deaf Children’s Society policies.

You will carry out a programme of detailed quality assurance activity and monitoring to identify areas where improvements can be made and provide fundraising teams with recommended actions. This work has a particular focus on the management of telemarketing and face to face recruitment.

You will prepare reports for internal teams and stakeholders and provide support and guidance to fundraising staff in relation to compliance and what is required of them.

• Updating and monitoring the site lists on our websites to ensure our supporters know where we are.

• Quarterly due diligence checks with our agencies, along with monitoring of job adverts and contracts to ensure compliance.
• To manage and monitor our Mystery Shopping programme – engaging with the agencies regarding feedback and follow up, and approving invoices.
• A monthly compliance tracker to be shared internally so we know our key areas of focus.
• Management of our fundraising shadowing programme, with the occasional visits to our agencies for compliance training, feedback and shadowing.
• To help the organisation to deliver excellent standards of supporter care by providing cover for the team where necessary.

About the role:
