The Badur Foundation is an independent foundation supporting grassroots charities and social enterprises. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with the Director and existing Research Analyst to conduct a research project examining the ways in which HMRC addresses offshore compliance, with a focus on its use of information and existing enforcement powers, identifying areas where compliance could be improved.
Develop and undertake the research project within specified timescales, from inception to delivery, in collaboration with the wider TaxWatch team, driving the project forward, providing updates on progress the Director and Trustees. This will involve:
· Identifying key stakeholders relevant to the project, developing and building relationships, conducting interviews, gaining insight from their knowledge and experiences and identifying areas for further investigation.
· Requesting and analysing information from HMRC.
· Analysing both qualitative and quantitative data to identify key findings and making policy and procedural recommendations based on the findings.
· Producing high quality written work, including long form written reports based on the research undertaken.
· Liaising with other organisations, journalists, politicians and government bodies to publicise the findings of the report.
· A limited amount of administrative tasks that support the running of the project including documentation of research findings and tracking Freedom of Information requests on team systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL:
· Critical thinking and a curious mindset, particularly seeking out and analysing data, from both qualitative and quantitative sources.
· Strong writing capability. TaxWatch is an organisation that places a high priority on concise and effective written style. Research must be clear, accurate and to the point.
· Ability to work remotely while working co-operatively with wider team. Organised and logical in approach.

You will:
- Support the Head of Companion Animals with strategy development and implementation as necessary.
- Deputise for the Head at internal and external meetings.
- Assist with the preparation of departmental budgets, and make decisions on behalf of the Head in their absence.

- Monitor, review, analyse, report on and where appropriate respond to, reports and announcements from relevant bodies on proposed EU directives, domestic UK legislation, and the work of parliamentary select committees, Defra, and other governmental and NGO working groups relevant to extreme breeding.
- Be a lead representative for the Society at meetings on extreme breeding to promote its objectives to key stakeholders and target audiences up to the highest levels including government ministers, MPs and senior civil servants, industry and other external bodies, committees, working groups, government representatives and working groups and think tanks and produce associated briefing papers and reports.
- To produce reports on extreme breeding and other companion animal issues, and contribute to departmental newsletters and information sheets and material for RSPCA publications.

To succeed within this role, it is essential that you have:
- A degree level qualification in a relevant biological discipline, plus relevant experience.

The Role

The Legacy Manager will be responsible for the entire legacy function from marketing legacies to the existing database, stewarding pledgers and supporters through to the administration of the legacies themselves, working with the legacy administrator. You'll work closely with the Director of Fundraising to deliver the legacy and in-memoriam giving programme.
We’re looking for those who can deliver an exceptional supporter experience for current and prospective legacy supporters with a focus on securing strategic long-term support by building a robust, sustainable pipeline of legacy Pledges.
As a leader you'll embed a legacy giving culture internally and will work closely with colleagues across the whole charity to promote legacy and in-memoriam giving messages. This, in turn, will inspire supporters to help Camphill Village Trust support more people with learning disabilities, autism and other mental health challenges.
What you’ll bring to the role:

Evidence of working at manager level to develop and implement successful legacy / donor giving strategies, particularly legacy stewardship.

Ability to manage and lead the legacy function.

We are delighted to be working with a wonderful hospital charity who are searching for a temporary Individual Giving Manager (2-3 months). This charity seeks to improve and enhance the care and treatment for patients in their hospitals.
In this role, you will develop fundraising appeals, products and campaigns to individual supporters in order to grow fundraising income and increase engagement. You will focus on recruiting, and developing relationships with all donors using direct mail, email, digital engagement and lottery. This role will focus on feeding into the fundraising strategy and recruiting new supporters, ensuring that supporters go on a meaningful journey with the charity, becoming long-term supporters. You will also manage the individual giving income and budgets, ensuring all activity meets income targets.
To be successful in the role of Individual Giving Manger, you will need:
- Demonstrable experience of developing fundraising plans, with ability to write compelling fundraising copy for appeals
- Experience of project managing fundraising or marketing campaigns and appeals
- Experience of delivering to an agreed budget and reforecasting income and expenditure when required

As Supporter Care Manager you will play a key role in Viva’s Fundraising & Engagement team, building relationships with and providing exceptional supporter care to our donors – including individuals, churches and community groups. This role will support the Assistant Head of Events & Community Fundraising to generate income for the charity through the Sporting Events programme of walking, running and cycling activities. The postholder will lead on the delivery of a flagship walking event, with a key focus on co-creating and delivering a robust marketing plan, delivering the supporter journey to drive participant value, and ensuring that all stakeholders meet their deadlines to drive fundraising income. This role will report on operational plans and budgets to generate medium and long-term sustainable income, taking responsibility for team outcomes including financial and key result reporting. You will also use data to optimise performance and maximise return on investment throughout the portfolio of activity.
To be successful in the role of Sporting Events Manager, you will need:
- Excellent organisational skills and initiative to support complex activity streams, with ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in delivering large scale fundraising events, with experience in project management, leading complicated programmes with multiple partners.
- Experienced people manager, able to motivate a team to deliver excellent results, with ability to engage with stakeholders and manage relationships to the most senior levels.
