This advisory role will play a key contribution to help grow the RSPB’s Fair to Nature programme and improve habitats to protect and restore nature and wildlife on UK farms with one specific major business partner, and also with a wide range of other farmers and businesses.
What's the role about?
For the key strategic business partnership the role will visit farmer-suppliers and provide in-person habitat advice to improve the conditions for biodiversity on the farms visited.
You will use this insight and experience to provide the content to help inform communications tools and a broader advisory programme for other farms within the partnership (you will not be responsible for the communications execution).
For other Fair to Nature farmers, and businesses directly linked to them, you will prepare for and complete advisory visits and follow up with applicant Fair to Nature farmers and share the benefits of Fair to Nature certification. You will advise them on how to comply with the FtN Standard and help them complete their Farm Plan.
Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
- Knowledge of land management practices that deliver nature and wider environment benefits on farmland.
- Understanding of the ecology of main farmland taxa, particularly those of conservation concern.
- Understanding of agricultural systems and how conservation management may impact on farming practice.
- Able to communicate effectively with farmers and advise them on land management for nature.
- Ability to be self-motivated and work efficiently within a defined work plan. This necessitates the ability to plan and organise their own work.
- Competent IT user (e.g. MS packages, Outlook etc).
- An ability to produce clear written communications.
- Proven time management and organisational skills to meet project deadlines.

We are now seeking a Communications and Campaigns Manager who will be a creative thinker able to Think Big and Act Wild whilst managing the timely and effective delivery of communications campaigns, projects and events, increasing our advocacy and fundraising impact.
The post holder will be a strong planner, organiser, pro-active team player and hands-on campaigner. You’ll be a key member of the Communications and Engagement team and use your strong collaborative skills to work effectively with our Catalyse, Influence and Fundraising teams to create powerful, transformative communications and campaigns.
You will be results driven and enjoy managing multiple communications projects across different channels in order to increase engagement levels with different stakeholders. Line Manager: Director of Communications and Engagement
Line Management Responsibilities: No line management. The post holder will have responsibility for maintaining management of freelancers, agencies and partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
Communications campaign development and management:
- Develop and project manage a programme of integrated communication campaigns that grab attention and encourage action across rewilding practice, policy and fundraising.
- Work closely with the Communications and Engagement team to develop aligned messaging and campaign assets and to deliver these across owned, earned and paid channels.
- Lead on the creation of compelling campaign assets and content (e.g. polls, petitions, online actions and campaign toolkits).
- Manage campaign timeframes and budgets seeking a good, quantifiable return on investment.
- Gather and present audience insight to inform our campaigns and ensure our campaigning work is evidence led.
- Set and measure campaign KPIs, conduct campaign de-briefs and write campaign evaluations, encourage a culture of testing and learning and growing our campaigning approach.
- Seek relevant external collaboration opportunities with allies and partners to amplify our campaigns.
- Where appropriate, commission and manage the relationship with external creative, campaigning and advertising agencies.
Communications projects and events management:

- Design, deliver and project manage cross-organisational communication activities which will raise the profile of Rewilding Britain (e.g.World Rewilding Day, anniversary events).
- Support the Catalyse, Influence and Fundraising teams with the communication requirements for events (e.g. Rewilding Network conferences, fundraising dinners, panel debates, report launches).
Cross-functional collaboration:
- Work closely with the Catalyse, Influence and Fundraising teams to integrate campaign efforts and identify the relevant campaign issues, priorities and opportunities for influencing policy, fundraising and Network membership growth.
- Support the broader Communications and Engagement team to implement strategically aligned locally focused communications activities, projects and events for England, Scotland or Wales.

The role is a full-time, 5-day-week (35 hours) position.
The salary is £38,000 - £43,000 per annum depending upon experience.
There will be some freedom for the person to determine their own working arrangements each week, within limitations, providing the work is delivered.
Rewilding Britain employees benefit from 25 days annual leave per year (pro rata for part time roles), rising to 30 days over 5 years. A generous employer-matched pension scheme is also available.

We are seeking a Project Research Officer to join our small team to work on a new project, which examines the use of data and powers by HMRC in addressing offshore tax compliance.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with the Director and existing Research Analyst to conduct a research project examining the ways in which HMRC addresses offshore compliance, with a focus on its use of information and existing enforcement powers, identifying areas where compliance could be improved.
Develop and undertake the research project within specified timescales, from inception to delivery, in collaboration with the wider TaxWatch team, driving the project forward, providing updates on progress the Director and Trustees. This will involve:
· Identifying key stakeholders relevant to the project, developing and building relationships, conducting interviews, gaining insight from their knowledge and experiences and identifying areas for further investigation.
· Requesting and analysing information from HMRC.
· Analysing both qualitative and quantitative data to identify key findings and making policy and procedural recommendations based on the findings.
· Producing high quality written work, including long form written reports based on the research undertaken.
· Liaising with other organisations, journalists, politicians and government bodies to publicise the findings of the report.
· A limited amount of administrative tasks that support the running of the project including documentation of research findings and tracking Freedom of Information requests on team systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL:
· Critical thinking and a curious mindset, particularly seeking out and analysing data, from both qualitative and quantitative sources.
· Strong writing capability. TaxWatch is an organisation that places a high priority on concise and effective written style. Research must be clear, accurate and to the point.

The Role

We’re open to consultant suggestions regarding what shape this work might take. But to give an idea, we would be looking for things like:

Horizon scanning to identify income generation opportunities

Skills and experience

Main Role & Responsibilities
As our Training & Engagement Manager: London & South East, you will be an active member of our Programmes team and work across our portfolio of programmes with particular focus on the Education programme.
You will be responsible for stakeholder engagement, developing relationships and promoting Ygam training in London & the South East. You will recruit suitable delegates to workshops, working closely with a range of stakeholders from the education sector.
You will provide training both face to face and online, with responsibility for delivering our assured workshops and promoting our work at conferences and events. You will also be able to demonstrate the impact of your work by collating case studies and evidence, supporting the programme's achievements.

Responsibilities
- Managing and recording all financial transactions of the business, journal entries, sales ledger and purchase ledger, bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations, general ledger management, banking, making payments, staff expenses, credit control, weekly and monthly reporting to management, closing the sales ledger and purchase ledger at the end of each month, ensuring all month end journals are posted and any other duties as required by the organisation
