About the role
The Research Officer will contribute to the Insights Hub’s qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research.
This role supports the Research and Insights Manager with research projects including our flagship UK Civil Society Almanac, designing and analysing data, writing reports, and presenting findings to diverse stakeholders.
The Research Officer will also coordinate the Research Ethics Committee (REC) work, manage client relationships, and oversee research administration.

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports about 3,000 children a year. About the role
Chapter One is seeking a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Manager to be an integral part of a team which aims to both maximise corporate income and deliver an excellent partner and volunteer experience.
Reporting to our Head of Corporate Partnerships, and responsible for the line management of our Corporate Partnerships Officer, you’ll deliver on our annual volunteer and income targets and maintain our strong partner retention rate (target 87%). This will involve supporting the account management of a portfolio of existing partners and the responsibility to nurture relationships to increase partner investment in Chapter One over time. The role involves collaborating across departments to ensure a seamless and positive experience for volunteers and partners

Key Responsibilities
Partner Stewardship

Lead the account management of a selected portfolio of corporate partners, ensuring Chapter One achieves its annual retention and growth targets

The merger of Fight for Sight and Vision Foundation on 1st April 2023 has enabled us to address both questions. By combining our strengths and expertise we are now the only significant national funder with the efficiency, capability, and capacity to increase investment in medical research and social improvement. Together we can mitigate both the prevalence and impact of sight loss.
We have a clear ambition, led by our CEO, Keith Valentine, who has valuable lived experience of sight loss. We’ve secured well-respected and highly engaged ambassadors and patrons, from Sir John Major and Marsha De Cordova MP.
We are looking for a driven, committed, and creative individual to join our dynamic team as we devise and launch a new five-year strategy. You’ll be part of something impactful and a key support within the fundraising team.
The Fundraising Assistant will play a crucial role in the future growth of our charity and the impact that we can achieve through partnerships for people with sight loss. You will be a key part of a growing fundraising team providing support across the team.

Role Responsibilities:
Individual Giving
- Support the Individual Giving Manager with day-to-day communications with our donor base, including timely database administration to capture communication preferences and personal details.
- Support the Database Manager with data and financial processes, including recording and batching donations, generating reports, contributing to supporter journeys and reconciling income.
- Undertake research into new projects and areas of fundraising and highlight areas of potential opportunities to raise income and ensure continuous supporter engagement.
- Liaise with design and print suppliers to deliver appeals and other campaigns.
- Support the Individual Giving team in-person in the office, with the processing of direct marketing appeal responses, including banking of donations and sending thank you letters.
- Work with the Individual Giving Managers to implement supporter journeys to encourage further support to the organisation.
Events and Community
- Use a CRM database to effectively administer and manage event and community activities.
- To be an ambassador at all events, supporting the delivery of our vision and ensuring that the charity’s profile and reputation are enhanced.
- Work with the Events and Community team to send out literature and parcels to community groups and event participants in an efficient and timely manner.
- Researching and sourcing event materials and fulfilling event packs when required.
- Support with logistics for virtual and in-person events as required.
Wider fundraising
- Answering inbound calls as part of the head office call team, at least two days per week, and responding to or triaging enquiries to be resolved in a timely manner.
- Working with suppliers to help design, proof and order new and replacement fundraising materials (fundraising packs, t-shirts, collecting boxes etc) as necessary.
- Act as the first point of contact for external enquiries and manage internal post, including sorting incoming post and organising outgoing fundraising post from head office.
- Work with the Communications team to ensure social media posts and other promotion opportunities are carefully planned and well executed.
- Work alongside the high value team Partnerships Assistant on key events and appeal tasks when required.
- Provide general administration support across the fundraising team as required.

The Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) is the leading specialist domestic abuse organisation supporting housing providers to improve their response to domestic abuse, through our membership model, accreditation framework and training packages.
We use our practice-based experience to work alongside partners across the housing and domestic abuse sector to influence policy and national decision making through our DAHA-led National Domestic Abuse & Housing Policy and Practice Group
Our model for a housing response to domestic abuse is nationally recognised as best practice, through the Domestic Abuse Act Statutory Guidance 2022, and is endorsed by the Domestic Abuse Commissioner for England & Wales, Nicole Jacobs.
As the DAHA Programme Manager will oversee the development, delivery, and funding of the DAHA programme, ensuring it aligns with the business plan and strategy. This role is responsible for managing the DAHA accreditation framework, membership, training, and driving programme growth and sustainability. In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We’ll achieve this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. We do this by funding, evaluating and then spreading the very best work on reducing youth violence across England and Wales.
The Area Leaders Programme (ALP) is central to this mission. The ALP will transform how areas identify and support young people and places most vulnerable to violence, collaborate effectively, and deliver impactful interventions to better protect children from being drawn into violence. We are seeking an exceptional senior manager to help drive the next phase of the ALP, scaling from a successful pilot in four Local Authorities to broader implementation across England and Wales.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Area Leaders Programmes Manager will be an essential part of the YEF Change team and will support the expansion and delivery of the Area Leaders Programme, ensuring its effectiveness in increasing evidence-based decision-making, commissioning, and multi-agency collaboration. You will provide direct operational oversight and stakeholder engagement to support local areas in reducing youth involvement in violence. Approximately 0.4fte of the role will be presenting YEF Toolkit evidence in both the ALP and across wider violence prevention networks supported by the YEF.
This will include:
Programme Management and Delivery
- Support the management of the expansion of ALP from four pilot areas to 10 new local authority areas from spring 2025.
- Support the development and refinement of frameworks, tools, and resources to support effective identification of the people and places most vulnerable to violence, evidence-based commissioning, effective case management, and multi-agency collaboration.
- Commission and manage contractual arrangements with external consultants secured to support ALP development and delivery.
- Manage robust monitoring and evaluation processes to assess the impact and inform continuous improvement of the programme.
- Manage programme resources effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, safeguarding partnerships, community safety partnerships, and other stakeholders.
- Represent YEF in discussions with partners and policymakers.
- Help facilitate collaboration across diverse stakeholders to align priorities, overcome barriers, and promote evidence-based approaches.
Capacity Building and Support
- Provide strategic and operational support to multi-agency teams, empowering them to embed effective violence prevention practices.
- Lead capacity-building activities, including workshops, coaching, training, and peer learning opportunities for local partnerships.
Presenting Toolkit evidence.
- You will present Toolkit evidence in talks and workshops and speak clearly and persuasively about Toolkit evidence, so that insights from our research lead to positive change. You’ll work with key stakeholders to identify areas of policy and practice that should be informed by Toolkit evidence.
About you
You are this sort of person:

Hybrid Working

Due to the nature of the programme there is some national travel required within England and Wales. This is likely to be around twice a month, all travel costs can be reimbursed with flexibility for overnight stays if preferred.

Believe: Positive Destinations is a 12 week work readiness programme for young people aged 16 to 25. The programme, part funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, has been developed specifically for young people who have little or no experience of the world of work. It is a holistic programme, it will support them to develop workplace skills, build their aspirations, increase self-confidence as well as providing them with strategies to manage their wellbeing.
As the Project Co-ordinator you will assist the CSM with the development of this new service. This will include building a network of work placement providers and referral sources. You will be the main contact for placement providers and will provide direct support to participants to ensure they are achieving their potential. You will be responsible for delivering the programme to cohorts of up to 8 participants.
What does the job role involve:
- Promotion of the service at networking events and online.
- Establish a network of appropriate placement providers throughout Swansea and be the main contact for placement supervisors for the duration of the placement.
- Establish links with organisations who will be referring into the service, this will include Education, Leaving Care and NEET services.
- Delivery of a 12 week work readiness programme to cohorts of up to 8 participants including the delivery of Agored Cymru accredited units.
- Supporting young people to achieve their development goals.
- Responsibility for gathering and collating relevant data and contribution to report writing as per the request of the service manager and the commissioner of service.
- Tracking service user progress through the use of outcomes scoring over the duration of the programme and after exit, using a young person centred approach.

- Standard service operating hours will be 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4.30pm Friday, however the role requires some flexibility around hours as we support young people around their needs.

About the Role
