About the oppurtunity

The London Programme Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to seven partner schools, attending and coordinating weekly tutoring sessions, developing relationships with pupils, school staff and volunteer tutors and collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring sessions to ensure effective and impactful programme delivery.

Duties and responsibilities 

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage and effectively communicate with all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; leading weekly face to face and online tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.

• Responsible for overseeing the quality of both face to face and online tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery.

• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers.

• Update and maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and end of programme surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators.

Qualifications and experience criteria:

• Experience working with volunteers and/or young people

About the Role

As Young People Support Worker you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service. You will participate in our programme of meaningful activity by running group sessions and activities within the accommodation to support young people’s individual development and social engagement.

In accommodation based services you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.

You will work a rolling rota of daytimes, evenings and weekends (some shifts will be lone working) including bank holidays to ensure that young people have full staff support during their most difficult times.

We are seeking to recruit a fundraiser with experience in trusts and foundations, and major gifts partnership management, grant management and prospecting to contribute towards diversifying our fundraising efforts and financial resilience as the organisation continues to grow.

This brand-new role is a fantastic opportunity for an entrepreneurial and strategically-minded fundraiser to make their mark on global challenges that are beginning to be framed at the same scale as the climate crisis by governments and policymakers. The issues we’re tackling are becoming some of the hottest topics on the agenda for sophisticated strategic and systems-change philanthropists and institutions, and we’re uniquely placed to take the lead.

Working in close collaboration with our policy experts and the Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will contribute to further developing our fundraising programme, securing five, six and seven-figure grants and supporting the holistic management of these philanthropic partnerships through communications and events.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser who is innovative and organised in their approach as they engage with high-level donors and all members of the CLTR team and network.

We’re keen to attract someone with:

• Exceptional attention to detail, strong written communication skills, and excellent organisational abilities, including managing priorities across the team
• A proven ability to develop and maintain trusting, long-term relationships with HNWIs and foundations
• A deep interest in our mission and the wider policy landscape
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proven experience of driving successful fundraising activity
• Experience of implementing and maintaining robust fundraising systems and processes
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills, able to communicate efficiently, calmly and professionally (and will often be one of the first points of contact our stakeholders have with CLTR)

The role

Starting between £55,000 to £60,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours: 35hrs per week

About you

You will be a senior HR practitioner, qualified to CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience), and have a proven track-record at leading a high-performing HR team. You’ll have plenty of experience in delivering strategic HR initiatives,  excellent knowledge of employment law, an ability to communicate at all levels, and flex your approach according to the situation. We are looking for someone who has had experience of advising and delivering on organisational-wide HR change management initiatives, can work effectively to project deadlines, and will successfully balance the needs of employees with the operational and ambitious needs of the charity.

Our location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail.

We have a hybrid approach to the way we work. Our Senior Executive Team meet with our Senior Leadership Team twice a month on a Monday. These meetings are face to face. One is in central London and one is at our Hatfield office. In addition, you will be required to attend at least four face to face organisational All Staff Together days which are predominantly in Hatfield, one directorate meeting a month in Hatfield, as well as attending the Hatfield office with the rest of the HR team one day a week. One to one’s will be face to face with direct line reports and your line manager once a quarter.

Big Leaf Foundation is now entering its sixth year and we are looking to the future. Our Communications & Campaigns Coordinator leads our communications and supporter engagement work including developing and implementing our communications strategy.

Reports to: Corporate, Community and Events Manager

Magpas Air Ambulance are looking for a driven and organised Challenges and Events Officer to join our Corporate, Community and Events Team. This is a key income-generating role, responsible for the planning, promotion, and delivery of a portfolio of challenge and fundraising events – including third-party, virtual and flagship events.

The postholder will work closely with colleagues and external partners to deliver exceptional supporter experiences that inspire participation, encourage fundraising, and maximise income for the charity.

You’ll need solid project management skills, strong supporter stewardship instincts, and a good understanding of how digital channels can be used to recruit, engage, and motivate fundraisers.

While you’ll be supported by our Digital Fundraising Officer, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive marketing and recruitment plan – combining digital campaigns with in-person promotion and outreach at events and through partner networks.

This role would suit someone with some experience working on charity challenge events who is ready to take the next step in their career – bringing their knowledge, creativity and energy to a role where they can work with autonomy, ownership and impact.

Role Summary:

• Lead the planning, promotion and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising challenge events, including third-party, virtual and flagship activities
• Create and deliver inspiring supporter journeys that encourage participation, increase fundraising and build long-term engagement
• Develop digital-led recruitment and marketing plans, working closely with our Digital Fundraising Officer and wider communications team
• Deliver excellent project and event management, from logistics and risk management to supplier liaison and on-the-day delivery
• Use data and insight to monitor event performance, optimise campaigns and grow income year on year

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in organising or supporting fundraising or challenge events
• A track record of achieving income targets and maximising fundraising potential
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence engaging supporters and stakeholders
• An understanding of digital marketing tools and a willingness to contribute to digital content and campaigns
• Experience using CRM systems (ideally Donorfy) and using data to inform decisionmaking
• A proactive, positive and flexible approach – including willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
