A brand-new role to Rape Crisis South London, we are looking to appoint a Monitoring Impact Evaluation and Learning (MIEL) Lead as part of our change and transformation journey.
The successful MIEL Lead will be an individual who champions data-driven decision making and ensures our work creates meaningful impact. As a standalone role, the MIEL Lead will work with various internal leads and external stakeholders. Examples of what the MIEL Lead will be doing include designing and presenting programme evaluations and outcome monitoring tools (using analytical tools such as Power BI and Excel) and processes.
Prior experience within a similar role is required as the MIEL Lead will be part of our newly formed Fundraising and Communications Team. With strong organisational and analytical skills, the MIEL Lead will work closely with colleagues to provide data insights to inform funding reports and future funding strategies. We are currently looking to appoint an Impact/ Communications Officer to join our team. This role will principally sit in SMF’s Communications team and will also support the work of the Events and Research functions. The successful candidate will work directly with both teams to ensure that the SMF’s core messages, policy ideas and events reach their intended audiences, and that the SMF’s work has even greater impact on policymaking and public debate.
About the role:
We are looking for an outstanding communicator, with a deep interest in politics and current affairs to join our Impact team. The purpose of the role is to promote SMF’s insightful programme of policy work and research and position the think tank as a centre-ground thought leader in the media and with key political and civil service stakeholders. The role will also involve management of SMF’s social media and digital marketing channels.
The duties of the Impact/ Communications Officer will include, but not be limited to:
- Support the Communications Manager in delivering SMF’s communications strategy.
- Promote SMF publications to media, key government and political stakeholders and public, support with writing and editing press releases, answer press enquires and help to secure opinion pieces.
- Assist with writing and promoting commentary and other content for the SMF website.
- Help to deliver a pipeline of impactful parliamentary outreach.
- Manage the production of the SMF monthly newsletter and the weekly Wonk Week email, in conjunction with the Research team.
- Work collaboratively with SMF research sponsors to deliver excellent press, social media and public affairs outcomes.
- Horizon scan for developments in policy and politics for the SMF team, and use this to identify potential opportunities for the SMF research team to inform the policy process, engage with political stakeholders and to lend reactive comment to media
- Manage SMF social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube) and produce engaging content promoting SMF work. Live-tweet SMF events.
- Manage the SMF website, ensuring content is updated regularly. Maintain and update SMF brand guidelines where appropriate.
- Typeset and proofread SMF reports and briefing papers and ensure they are ready for publication. Work with the research team and SMF sponsors to coordinate dates and assets for publication launches.
- Assist the SMF Research team to develop and promote new reports, briefings and other outputs through the production of infographics and other digital content.
- Provide ad hoc support for the SMF Events team with the planning and delivery of events in Westminster and at the political Party Conferences. The latter may require some weekend work and travel, and the candidate must be available to work Autumn Party Conferences.
What we’re looking for:
As an ideal candidate you will have:
- At least a year’s experience working in marketing, digital communications, political campaigns or external affairs. This can be through paid or voluntary work.
- Ability to quickly digest complex research — including academic literature — to deliver compelling public affairs, social media and media outputs.
- Strong copywriting capabilities for a range of audiences, with an ability to explain complex policy concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team, as well as to effectively manage research project sponsors.
- A good understanding of, and keen interest in UK public policy and politics, and a commitment to the aims and objectives of the SMF. Some parliamentary experience is desirable, but not essential.
- Experience in writing, creating and sharing content for social media channels, ideally through the use of infographics and other visualisations of data and complex subject matter; some experience with Adobe Photoshop and video editing is desirable.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Good personal organisation skills, with the ability to take responsibility of your own workload to meet tight and conflicting deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
- Ability to work quickly and under pressure when necessary.
- Appetite for creating new and exciting mediums for disseminating the SMF’s work to policymakers and the public.
Benefits and working hours:
The SMF offers a contributory staff pension and generous holiday allowances.

Standard SMF working hours are 9.30am-6pm, Monday to Friday. We actively encourage flexible working and working patterns which are different to these hours. The appointee will be able to design their working week – in discussion with colleagues – to accommodate family commitments and other obligations.
The SMF is based in Westminster and the post-holder will normally be expected to work in our office there at least two days a week, plus any additional days required by the team, for example to attend in-person SMF events. Other working time can be spent at home or in our office.

The Role
The Senior Individual Giving Officer will act as a source of fundraising expertise in the Direct Marketing and wider development team, as well as the global Development and Marketing teams. Lead on devising a digital strategy that will maximise supporter engagement and acquisition, and thus grow individual giving income, with the input of the Direct Marketing Manager
Mercy Corps Europe's fundraising team is in a growth phase and there are many opportunities to innovate. Creative freedom is very much encouraged and the diversity of the organisation's programmes makes our fundraising work truly varied. There is huge potential in this role to deliver initiatives that will have a significant impact in growing our donor base, including testing new ways of engaging with audiences, integrating marketing across new channels, expanding use of online advertising, SEO and AdWords, harnessing data to create more effective campaigns, engaging thought-leaders and influencers online, and investigating new innovative ways of reaching key audiences.

Essential Job Responsibilities
Supporter development
●Lead on integrating online and offline fundraising, offering supporters a cross-platform experience
●Lead on innovating our digital offering - taking ideas from conception through to testing and beyond

The Media and Engagement Officer is an exciting and crucial new role suited to a natural storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role will support the way we communicate with communities across South and East Kent by gathering, creating and sharing stories in engaging and creative ways, whilst also handling media enquiries on behalf of the Diocese.
Reporting to the Senior Media and Engagement Officer and working closely with the team, you will play a key role in the execution of the communications and engagement strategy for our diocese and help to enhance our digital profile by creating informative, engaging and inspiring content to all our audiences.
You will acti as first point of contact for our clergy, parishes and staff to support their communications work, including support with digital, video, social and traditional media. You will also be a point of contact for media enquiries, as well as assisting with urgent/crisis communications.
You will ensure the diocesan website meets the needs of our audiences by working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the content is up-to-date, fresh and relevant, whilst also providing an analytical approach to web performance.
With a relevant professional or educational background, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be capable of writing engaging media content, including news stories and press releases.
You should be creative, detail-oriented, proactive in spotting trends and have a good awareness of current affairs, as well as having experience of editing, proofreading and fact-checking copy.
Experienced in managing and improving websites and social media platforms, you will be at ease analysing social media performance and capable of helping to implement the social media strategy, ensuring we connect and engage with audiences from a range of backgrounds.
As part of this role, it is important for you to maintain a high degree of personal visibility around the Diocese in order to build excellent relationships with clergy, parishioners, local communities, local leaders and media contacts. About the role
The post-holder will deliver a high-quality counselling service to survivors and victims of domestic and sexual violence (aged 18+) that is trauma-informed, ethical and supports key outcomes. Supporting the Lead Counsellor and the wider counselling team to develop and maintain a safe, professional and accessible service.
Managing a caseload of clients accessing short to medium term counselling, providing face to face, telephone and online counselling sessions. Where clients are engaged with the criminal justice system ensuring that they are working to Pre-Trail Therapy guidance.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. The post holder will work within a multi-agency setting and communicate regularly with other agencies.
This role description cannot cover every eventuality or task that may arise within this position and the post holder will be expected to carry out other duties from time to time which are broadly consistent with the role.
Tasks and responsibilities
1. CLINICAL
· Assess and support people impacted by abuse and violence in need of therapy by delivering interventions as appropriate and supporting them in the self-management of their recovery.
· Undertake clinical assessments and make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the service referral protocols, refering unsuitable clients on to the relevant appropriate services or back to the referral agent as necessary, ensuring open communication with the individual throughout.
· Deliver trauma-informed short term counselling over a 8-10 week period with individuals.
· Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service.
· Ensure that records of all activity are kept up to date for all clients in line with service protocols, best practice and the requirements of relevant statutory agencies records, including using OASIS case management system to report all support activity and monitoring information as required.
· Work closely with other members of the team ensuring onward referrals, or escalations are managed appropriately.
· Assess and integrate issues impacting recovery into therapy to support the individual holistically.
· To attend regular line management, monthly clinical supervision and participate in team meetings and peer review, to ensure safe practice.
· Escalate and safeguard risk where appropriate and respond accordingly and appropriately in relation to the ‘do no harm principal’. This may include referrals to Children Social Care, MARAC or Adults social care as appropriate. Seek advice from a Senior Service Manager in the first instance to consider and support appropriate steps.
· Contribute to the development of service policies, protocols, guidelines and strategies within area of practice as necessary.
· Coordinate and accommodate multiagency working, sharing information pertaining to risk at all times, and with a view to best support the individual throughout their journey, ensuring they are fully informed throughout.
2. PROFESSIONAL
· Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating counselling bodies (i.e. BACP, UKCP, NCPS) and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set by the department of health (e.g. National Institute for Clinical Excellence, RESPECT).
· Ensure that client confidentiality is protected and advocated for at all times.
· Ensure clear objectives are identified, discussed and reviewed with manager on a regular basis as part of continuing professional development.
· Participate in individual performance review and respond to agreed objectives.
· Attend relevant conferences /workshops in line with identified professional objectives.
· To support, promote and work in accordance with Pathway Project’s aims and objectives.
3. GENERAL

Overview of Role

CAT’s Fundraising Team is responsible for raising vital funds for CAT’s core and project work from individuals, trusts and foundations, statutory bodies and companies. This is essential for CAT to fulfill its charitable mission – to inform, inspire and enable people to take action for a sustainable future. The post-holder will play an essential role within this team, helping to steward, inspire and engage current and potential supporters and members.
Supporter care and fundraising co-ordination: The post-holder will be accountable for establishing stronger and more effective relationships with supporters and leads. They will help maintain and increase levels of engagement through consistent, outstanding supporter care (customer service) and efficient coordination of communications (including outbound mail, email and phone).
Working with data: The post-holder will also play a crucial administrative role, including regularly collecting, processing and recording income for the team and thanking supporters. They will complete various important business controls and processes on a regular basis, so that financial and supporter data can be accurately and appropriately tracked. These aspects of the role provide the postholder with valuable opportunities to develop their skills and experience with using MS Excel and databases, with CAT supporting them to achieve relevant CPD training as required.

Main Responsibilities
To provide supporter care services:
- To be the first point of contact for individual Giving and Membership related queries (by phone, email and post) and to respond to these or escalate to line-manager as appropriate.
To develop and support fundraising projects and programmes
- To write fundraising letters and emails and arrange in-house mailings if required.
- To help organize and run the annual CAT Conference, regular free webinars and other events if required.

- To export, import, and maintain data on relevant CAT databases and software as appropriate, both manually and through batch processing; to ensure filing is kept up to date; and to ensure data is stored and archived accurately and in accordance to GDPR.
- To carry out and record individual and bulk mail, email and phone communications, including thanking and welcoming supporters and members as well as tailoring bespoke communications where appropriate.
- To carry out and manage communications, eg. email, phone and post, including mailmerges, for welcome, stewardship, membership renewal and other fundraising needs.
- To submit Gift Aid claims to HMRC and update database records accordingly
- To process CAF, Stewardship, GAYE, Standing Order, JustGiving, collection box and other income, and managing relevant communications and maintaining records as appropriate.
To undertake other duties:
- To provide support for creative, analysis, insight and evaluation if required
- To respond to requests from the Finance Team as appropriate, including for coding information

Working together on the climate and biodiversity crisis
The Social Impact Manager will lead on various aspects of implementing ParalympicsGB’s social impact strategy including managing the athlete community, disability education programme in schools and other projects on behalf of the organisation.
ParalympicsGB Social Impact Programme
· Support the Head of Social Impact and Director of Communications & Social Impact in the implementation of ParalympicsGB’s new social impact strategy.
· Support the Head of Social Impact with the socialisation of the new social impact strategy, supporting colleagues with their understanding of social impact and how this can be embedded across their respective roles to achieve social impact outcomes.
· Lead on capturing social impact case studies and outcomes from across the organisation including collaboration with the Commercial, Operations and Sports departments to inform ParalympicsGB’s social impact storytelling.
· Establish and manage a number of relevant stakeholders, developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders across the sport and disability sectors connected to collaborating on aspects of the strategy implementation.

Social Impact Projects
· ParalympicsGB Athlete Community Project
o Manage ongoing athlete reconnection campaign for Paralympians from pre 2010 and compile a database (Salesforce) of retired Paralympians who took part in previous Games as far back as the 1960 Paralympic Games.
o Manage ParalympicsGB’s athlete community comms including opportunities for athletes within the community e.g. Ambassador roles, key-note speaker opportunities, campaigning opportunities.
o Manage the Athlete Community Advisory Sub-Group, maximising input from the group on the ongoing project development and implementation.
o Lead on scoping and project managing a digital platform solution for the Athlete Community, with support from Head of Social Impact.
o Lead on scoping and managing a training programme for athletes who are part of the community e.g. advocacy and campaigning training, environmental sustainability training, mentoring etc.
o Lead on organising and managing athlete celebrations events and networking opportunities across the home countries.
· Get Set

This is an essential role in the senior management of the Cathedral as they grow into their new status as a registered charity, regulated by the Charity Commission.
The Cathedral has had several years of financial challenge, but with a newly invigorated senior team and a bold vision for 15 years, they are working towards a sustainable future that secures the place of the Cathedral at the heart of the Diocese and the centre of the rapidly growing and diverse city. The CFO will have a significant role to play in the development of that agenda. The successful candidate will hold responsibility for all aspects of finance, building on the improvements to systems, reporting and processes that have been embedded over the past four years.
The Cathedral is also growing its commercial activity, and the CFO will take the lead in developing the structures and processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting, compliant with relevant Charity and tax regulations.
The Role:
- Strategic Leadership: Work in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer and Exec to formulate the future strategic direction and supporting tactical initiatives
- Operational Excellence: Oversee finance, ensuring sustainable planning, budgeting, and financial management.
- Team Collaboration: Be a visible member of the Senior Leadership Team, enhancing our positive, values-based culture.
What They’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven leadership in finance within a charity or similar organisation.
- Skills: Strong financial acumen, stakeholder communication, and team management.
As part of the collegiate style of management that the Executive embraces, it is essential that this post holder is a team player, with clear insight, strategic skills and a good communicator.
In addition, a key element of the role will be leading and influencing others to continue to innovate and improve their financial processes.
