ABOUT THE SERVICE MANAGER ROLE
We are looking for a Service Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract to join our team. This is a key leadership role where you will provide care and support to people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantages. You will work in a supportive and understanding environment, focusing on each person’s individual needs and goals. This role is perfect for someone who is determined, takes pride in their work, and is able to motivate a diverse team.
We are particularly keen to encourage applications from individuals currently in deputy or senior roles who are looking to take the next step in their career. If you’re ready to step up and lead a team, this is an excellent opportunity to grow and make a real impact.
Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. Onsite face to face service. With flexibility around these hours required. All managers, including this position will take part in the out of hours on call duty.

- Has confident leadership skills and can inspire and motivate a team. While you’ll have support from management, this role requires someone who can take ownership and lead with confidence
- Can drive the service forward and implement improvements
- Is confident in managing complex situations and making decisions
- Takes ownership of their work and leads with confidence
- Can work at pace, use their initiative, make decisions, and be proactive in their approach
- Has experience in homelessness, substance use, or a related field, with transferable skills that align with some of the challenges that can arise in this position

The Health Marketing Manager will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the health education and research marketing and communications work. This new role will provide crucial project management in the roll-out of a new digital product offer for our client’s membership, working closely with the strategic technical partner. Our fundraising
At the Bureau, our funders and supporters are vital. We are almost entirely funded through grants and donations so – put simply – without their support, we wouldn’t be here.
Although our supporters may come from different backgrounds or have varied priorities, they all share a common goal: tackling the issues across our society that are eroding democracy and driving inequality. They support our work to hold those in power accountable, uncover new evidence to support positive change, and empower citizens.
The Bureau has experienced significant growth over the past three years, increasing our annual income to £2.8m and expanding to a team of more than 40 people. While the majority of our income comes from grants, there is strong potential for further fundraising growth, and we are actively working to diversify our funding streams beyond trusts and foundations.
This is an exciting time to join the Bureau as we continue to build on our strong relationships with existing supporters while exploring new funding opportunities.
Role and Responsibilities:
Support from trusts and foundations is our main source of philanthropic income so we are looking for somebody with experience in grants fundraising who can quickly apply their skills and expertise. You’ll work closely with our Development Director to report to and liaise with current funders, manage a pipeline of prospects and submit successful applications to secure new grants. You’ll also work closely with our other Fundraising Manager, who manages a pipeline focused on our environment, global health, and big tech work, and may be asked to work on these areas from time to time. In addition, you will support in building a major donor programme to diversify and strengthen our funding base. You will collaborate with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, from impact producers to reporters to finance and operations, in a supportive and welcoming culture that values teamwork and shared success.
As an excellent communicator, you will be able to take complex issues and translate them into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with funders and stakeholders. You will also be passionate about building strong relationships with our funders and supporters.
While experience in high net worth fundraising would be a valuable bonus, it is not essential. You don’t need to have raised funds for non-profit media before, but you do need to be excited by our work and able to express the Bureau’s key areas of work and impact in an accessible, accurate and compelling way. We’re a small team, so you’ll need the willingness to pitch in on fundraising tasks – big or small – to ensure the Bureau is in the best possible position to pursue its mission.
We envisage this as a full-time, primarily hybrid working role, working from our London office two/three times a week.
Skills and Experience
• Excellent fundraiser with a demonstrable track record of 3+ years’ experience successfully raising significant funds for charities or non-profits and managing relationships with funders (foundations - essential, high net worth individuals - desirable);
• Strong background in managing grants admin, including due diligence and processing agreements;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to speak and write English fluently;
• Great analytical skills, with experience of researching and identifying new funding sources for various projects;
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities;
• Experience of working with databases and funding pipelines;
• Exceptional time management skills, a professional attitude and meticulous attention to detail;

The Trust and Foundation Manager role will play a crucial role in maximising funding for Wells Cathedral, helping to preserve it for the future and open its outstanding heritage to visitors everywhere.
As Trust and Foundation Manager you will:
· Lead on creating and developing the Trust and Foundation strategy for the Cathedral, with support from the Director of Development.
· Build and maintain strong and rewarding partnerships with charitable Trusts and Foundations and achieve funding including multi-year grants, unrestricted and restricted income.
· Achieve results through persuasive and compelling applications and proposals and creating robust budgets. Amplify project impact through detailed monitoring and inspiring reports.
· Build the financial resilience of the Cathedral through prospect research, developing qualified prospect pipelines and driving new funding approaches.
· Build strong networks and advance relationships with grant makers and trustees of Trusts and Foundations, engaging the wider Cathedral team and Chapter in developing relationships and stewardship plans.
· Help realise The Vicars’ Close Project – the Cathedral’s transformational project to save Vicars’ Close and create an inspiring new visitor offer, as well as an exciting range of future projects.
· Network and keep abreast of the wider funding landscape and giving trends to inform the strategy and with a view to engaging new Trusts and Foundations and identifying funding opportunities.
· Lead on grant approvals, crediting obligations, progress monitoring and reporting deadlines.

The RSPB’s successful and dynamic Philanthropy Team are looking for an experienced Philanthropy Manager who will be responsible for building relationships with mid-level donors and increasing the number and value of their donations. This role requires an enthusiastic and hardworking team player who will have a strong focus on developing donor relationships, maximizing their contributions while offering an engaging stewardship journey.
This role will lead on generating gifts from mid-level donors - those giving between £500 - £5,000. The position is tasked with increasing the number and value of these donations via a strategic mid-level donor stewardship programme that will inspire and engage both new and existing contacts.
Key Result Areas:
- Income – deliver innovative methods to manage and develop relationships with donors giving at the mid-level.
- Effective relationship building - through personalised and bespoke communications, requests, thanking, events and personal contact.

The key duties of the Finance Manager are as follows:
- Support in the creation of department budgets.
- Engage with wider team to produce forecast information.
- Preparation of timely, accurate financial information including monthly management accounts, cash flow, forecasts.

The responsibilities of the Senior Client Finance Manager will include:
- Responsibility for delivery of budget and forecasts by Client, Property and tenancy, using complex data from MRI Horizon general ledger and using Power BI and Excel tools. This will include leading staff in producing accurate income & expenditure budgets for our services for clients.
- Setting a forward budget in liaison with Clients taking into account service and affordability. Ensuring income and costs are correctly accounted for.

- Lead the interface with senior finance and property staff in Client meetings, for prospective and existing Clients. Understand customer needs and translate into action. - Lead and influence long term change through setting up new systems and processes and create high performing teams and continuous improvement.

Key Skills & Experience

Role Overview

The post holder will lead on developing and executing internal communications strategies, with the support of the HR and the External Relations teams, to ensure that staff within the college are motivated, informed, engaged and able to perform their roles effectively.
The post holder will work with leadership teams across the college to create high-quality, engaging content for various communication channels, including newsletters, intranet sites, emails, handbooks, staff training, and employee recognition programmes.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
● The postholder will possess highly effective and engaging communication skills. They should excel in written, verbal and presentation skills. Previous experience of working with digital channel communication tools is essential.
● The postholder will have a proven track record of working on internal communication campaigns , creating and deploying employee communication and engagement channels. They will be familiar with utilising the full range of media ( digital/social/face-to-face), with measurable impact and return on investment.
● Experience of creating and delivering creative and tailored communication solutions and campaigns to drive employee engagement.
● Experience of delivering training sessions
● Experience of working in a school setting or other similar regulated environment. Other Requirements:
