Role purpose
The Centre of Excellence is WorldSkills UK’s flagship programme, dedicated to transforming the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment across Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). As Senior Workforce Development Manager, you will lead the programme management of the Centre of Excellence, playing a pivotal role in advancing its mission. You’ll oversee a growing network of member institutions committed to achieving excellence by integrating international expertise and best practices from around the globe. Your leadership will ensure the Centre of Excellence influences every aspect of teaching, learning, and assessment, setting new benchmarks that elevate the quality of education across the sector.
Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Programme management:
Provide effective programme management ensuring the Centre of Excellence operates at the highest standards, with strategic oversight of all workstreams, including stakeholder engagement, resource management, and performance monitoring.
• Leading the programme’s strategic planning and execution, ensuring that all workstreams—including budget management, timelines, and resource allocation—are closely aligned with overall objectives. Proactively address challenges to maintain programme momentum and achieve milestones effectively.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support programme success. Facilitate effective communication and alignment across teams, partners, and member institutions, promoting active engagement and collaboration throughout all programme phases.
• Establishing and overseeing a robust framework for monitoring and evaluating programme performance, focusing on impact assessment and continuous improvement. Provide regular reports on outcomes and insights, manage risks to ensure programme goals are met, and utilise evaluation data to inform strategic adjustments that enhance programme effectiveness.
• Overseeing the marketing and communication activity to promote the programme, ensuring it is visible and well-positioned among key audiences and stakeholders. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that highlight programme achievements, generate interest, and enhance engagement within the Centre of Excellence network and wider education and skills sector.
2. Network member Management:
Lead and execute a comprehensive member engagement strategy, driving value through targeted onboarding, recognition programmes, and an evolving account management framework to foster long-term member satisfaction and retention. Oversee tracking and analysis to inform strategic improvements and identify growth opportunities that align with the Centre of Excellence’s mission to expand impact.
• Developing and implementing a member engagement strategy, ensuring that institutions gain significant value from their involvement in the Centre of Excellence to include a recognition and awards programme to reward and celebrate members’ excellent practice and engagement with the Centre of Excellence.
• Providing strategic oversight to the enrolment and validation process for new members, ensuring that new institutions meet the Centre of Excellence’s standards, and work closely with the Network Member Manager to streamline onboarding, guaranteeing a positive initial experience that sets the stage for long-term involvement.
• Overseeing the tracking and evaluation of member engagement, using data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide regular updates on membership retention, engagement levels, and impact to leadership, and work with the Network Member Manager to develop strategies based on these insights.
• Identifying growth opportunities and enhancements to the programme offerings that can address emerging industry needs, supporting the Centre of Excellence’s mission and expanding its reach and impact.
3. Workforce Development:
The Senior Workforce Development Manager will lead a team of High Performance Skills Coaches to design, implement, and continuously improve a world-class teacher training programme. By incorporating global insights and innovative practices, this role ensures that the programme enhances teaching quality and raises educator capacity to deliver world-class education.
• Utilising insights from international benchmarking and emerging trends from global partners to incorporate cutting-edge methodologies and world-class standards into the teacher training programme.
• Leading a team of Skills Coaches to guide the development and delivery of high impact teacher training experiences, focusing on practical and solutions focussed strategies underpinned by international best practice that improve teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Overseeing the planning and scheduling of training activities to align with the academic calendar, ensuring that sessions are well-timed and accessible to educators throughout the year. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications teams to promote training opportunities, generate demand, and expand programme reach, actively engaging member institutions and their teaching staff.
• Establishing robust tracking and evaluation systems to monitor programme outcomes, using data to measure the effectiveness of training content and delivery. Analyse engagement and impact metrics to inform ongoing improvements, ensuring alignment with Centre of Excellence goals and maintaining the programme’s reputation for excellence.
4. General responsibilities for a Senior Manager

This role is office based (as above) but with flexible hybrid working. It is expected the postholder will attend the office at least once or twice a week.
Full time working hours are a minimum of 35 hours per week, normal working hours are 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday although we pride ourselves on having a flexible approach to our working practices and service delivery and are happy to discuss flexible working options, including part time, with suitable candidates.

About this role
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will ensure that communications and marketing priorities are implemented across the organisation to build brand awareness and reputation, increase reach and engagement across key stakeholder groups (funders, learners, coordination bodies, strategic partners), support fundraising activities, as well as contribute to RedR’s positioning within relevant sectors.The post holder will have exceptional communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and an interest in learning and development within RedR’s thematic areas.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and implementation of yearly comms and marketing plan with support from Associate Director of Business Development and Programmes
- Produce regular website, social media and communications content as well as newsletters to maintain engagement and improve our reach across our members, supporters, funders and other target audiences
- Website maintenance and improvements in coordination with relevant staff, centralising efforts to ensure the functionality of the website and key integrations with third party platforms
- Support programme staff with creation of new resources and materials for our projects Support fundraising efforts including public appeals through content development, design and project management with external suppliers

Social Media and website
- Maintain and build RedR UK’s social media presence, ensuring social media channels are populated with engaging content with a consistent, strong voice reflecting RedR’s strategy to maximise potential for exposure among target audiences
- Manage a calendar of social media and website activity
- Work with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development to create and develop campaigns (including fundraising and awareness raising campaigns) to be run across social media platforms
- Monitor and report on engagement, number of followers and website referrals to inform best practice for post timing and content
- Act as the primary point of contact for queries received through social media and inbound emails, ensuring they are responded to appropriately and in a timely manner
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of RedR UK’s website, including making edits and creating new content
- Ensure the website content is proofread and accurate, and any broken links or errors are promptly corrected
- Website (wordpress) maintenance and improvements in coordination with relevant staff (and external developer where relevant), centralising efforts to ensure the functionality of the website and key integrations with third party platforms
- Work with external website developer to resolve issues with the website and further develop design of website to accommodate emerging needs.
Marketing
- Stay abreast of comms and marketing trends and propose new and innovative approaches to increase outreach, engagement and fundraising income
- Produce in-house marketing materials and templates including event brochures, proposal templates, illustrations for reports/proposals, graphics and videos using platforms such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint and other editing tools
- Produce and disseminate high quality regular newsletters, and support with production of speeches and letters
- Identify inspiring impact stories and produce written and occasional films case studies and other content for use by the Fundraising and Programmes teams, supporting
- Support programme teams wishing to undertake communications activities as part of a grant/funded project; ensure that institutional donors’ communications activities and visibility requirements are respected
- Lead on emergency communications, in close coordination with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development
- Champion and monitor the use of RedR brand and style guidelines; to develop messaging guidelines and ensure they are adhered to across the organisation and to support other departments to develop their messaging and material.

Key responsibilities
Marketing

PCUK's sector leading Events and Community fundraising team raises c.£12m through a programme of Community, Sporting Events and Virtual Products. The role of Sporting Events Manager offers an exciting oportunity to lead on the strategy and delivery of the charity’s flagship walking event, March for Men, which raises c.£450k. A key focus will be with a key focus on co-creating and delivering a robust marketing plan.
As Sporting Events Manager, you will:
- Support the Assistant Head of Events & Community Fundraising to generate income through their Sporting Events programme of walking, running and cycling activities. The income for the events team is c.£3.3m, with expenditure of c.£1.1m.
- Lead on strategy and delivery of PCUK’s flagship walking event, March for Men, which raises c.£450k. You will project manage the event, co-creating and managing the recruitment marketing plan, delivering the supporter journey to drive participant value and working with an external delivery partners
- Work closely with the Black Healthy Equity Team to increase representation across PCUK’s activity portfolio, with a focus on March for Men to ensure it’s a diverse and inclusive event

The Role

Democracy Classroom is a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections and democracy. Democracy Classroom pools the collective support of the sector through the Democracy Classroom platform, where teachers and youth workers can access the collective support of the membership.

ABOUT THE ROLE
To achieve the above, the post holder will:
- Support, build and manage relationships with over 100 civil society partner organisations.

- Coordinate the sharing of learning materials, working with teachers and youth workers to organise, map and curate content that supports democratic and election education.
- Oversee the Democracy Classroom website / platform.

A little bit about the role
This role will be closing at 12pm on Thursday 14 November.
This role will sit within the Fellowship team, within the wider external relations directorate, and be managed by the Fellowship and engagement lead, supported by our chief social worker and a steering group of staff and trustees. This will ensure that we are connecting fellows – social workers who have completed one of Frontline’s programmes – to our young people’s work. The postholder will also have strong links with our communications and fundraising teams, which also sit within the external relations directorate.
The postholder will shape and grow all our work with and for young people with experience of social work, ensuring all involved have a positive experience. Our goal is to improve social work by listening to the needs of children and young people with lived experience. By involving them in all aspects of our work, we can make social work more effective and responsive for vulnerable children and families across England
We are seeking a dedicated professional who excels in youth-centred social work, with hands-on experience supporting young people aged 14-25. You will understand the unique challenges they face, especially those with care experience, and have insight into relevant social care policies. Working collaboratively with senior leadership, you will support inclusive, cohesive programme delivery.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator and strategic relationship builder who prioritises youth voices and partnership. Skilled in managing complex workloads and securing funding, you will also bring a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and using technology to enhance impact.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Bringing individuals with care and social work experience together, helping them to have a bigger influence on Frontline's mission to create social change for vulnerable children without a safe and stable home.
- Leading and growing the young people’s advisory board, recruiting and inducting new members.
- Developing a programme of activities for the young people’s advisory board and other experts by experience which includes quarterly meetings, day sessions and residentials each year.
- Collaborating with the Fellowship team to aid the development of future opportunities available fellows, using insights, voices and experiences from young people directly.
- Developing a mentoring programme for all of Frontline’s experts by experience through our Fellowship.

As Volunteer Coordinator, you will lead on recruiting, supervising, supporting and developing volunteers, drawing on your own lived experience of Disability to provide a positive role model.

Responsible to: Deputy CEO
Location: Role may involve some working from home on occasion, but majority of the hours will be supporting volunteers in our office in Anerley, plus attending face to face meetings and events in Bromley Borough and occasionally in London.
Hours: 14 hours per week (part-time), around volunteer availability and access needs.
Salary: £27,000 per year pro rata to 14 hours per week
Annual leave: 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays, pro rata

What you will do:

- Co-ordinate regular volunteer team meetings, review volunteer management policies and procedures, take a lead on initiatives such as volunteers week events and volunteer fayres and keep up-to-date records about volunteers and individual progress.
