This role is a core part of Pecan’s senior leadership team (SLT), working to develop strategic direction and playing a play a key role in the organisation’s aim to transform the lives of the most disadvantaged people in our community.

You will enable Pecan’s frontline team to deliver the highest possible standards of service.  You will have responsibility for Employment Support, Southwark & Lewisham Women’s Service and Together community projects. This role also oversees Marketing & Communications and Partnerships. It will work closely with the Fundraising Manager and is the Safeguarding Lead and the Equalities Lead

Main Responsibilities:

• To play a significant role in the pastoral care and wellbeing of staff and volunteers ensuring they feel supported and safe at work and have access to wellbeing support
• To develop and deliver services supporting women affected by the criminal justice system and for local women seeking support, information and community.
• To develop and deliver contracted services to enable people to gain employment.
• Expand the offer to reduce isolation and increase community cohesion as well as tackle some of the barriers facing people.

About this role:

Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the Communications and Policy Manager will support SIB’s track record of sector, government and media engagement, notably the high standard of publication set through its media partnerships with Tortoise and the Financial Times, its contributions to the policy landscape in the social sector, and its in-house data analysis and insight generation. This new post will contribute to SIB’s ongoing communications and policy work and its reach and influence.

Key responsibilities

1. Support the delivery of a comprehensive plan for our communications and policy activity, combining ongoing promotional communications, specific activities for funds and programmes, and proactively generated content and opportunities to influence

2. Co-ordinating with SIB partners in developing and delivering communication work, on major projects such as the Youth Investment Fund, the Recovery Loan Fund and the Enterprise Development Programme; ensuring that it is powered by data and customer insight of the highest quality

3. Keeping track of policy developments in areas of strategic importance to SIB, notably in social investment, youth, community energy and infrastructure investment. Writing briefings on key policy developments related to SIB’s strategic priorities, proactively identifying opportunities to further our policy agenda; also researching and preparing responses for relevant external consultations, using SIB data and evidence

4. Identifying, cultivating and maintaining relationships and partnerships with key policy, research and communications stakeholders

5. Attending and providing oversight to the Social Investment Forum, as part of SIB’s secretariat and hosting

6. Writing, editing and producing engaging and relevant content at pace for web, social media and e-newsletters, as well as earned and paid channels

7. Management of any external suppliers of communications and policy activities, including agencies, designers, consultants and think tanks

8. Working with the Marketing Manager, Marketing and Events Coordinator, Business Development Manager and wider team to deliver successful external events with customers, stakeholders and partners including attendance at Party Conferences.

• Significant experience at a managerial level in a PR, marketing, external affairs or communications role

Royal British Legion – Senior Supporter Acquisition Manager.

Location: London, hybrid (office two days a week).

The Royal British Legion (RBL), the leading Armed Forces charity, is looking for an experienced marketing manager to join their Fundraising directorate and lead a brilliant team to develop and implement a range of supporter acquisition marketing programmes to achieve the growth ambitions of their Fundraising strategy.

RBL holds a special place in the hearts and minds of generations of people in society.  As the largest military charity in the UK and home of the extraordinary Poppy Appeal it has provided support to members of the Armed Forces community for over 100 years.  Today is no different. The needs of veterans, young and old, serving personal and their families are growing and complex. To support them the charity needs to raise awareness and donations.

The Supporter Acquisition team at RBL is responsible for all marketing to attract new supporters across a large portfolio of appeals/products and media.  The charity is seeking a team leader who has significant expertise with a wide range of marketing channels and can really add value to large well-established programmes with their experience, knowledge and drive to continually improve, identify appropriate new opportunities and shape supporter acquisition programmes.

The role involves leading an experienced team of two managers and two co-ordinators, and leading relationships with key suppliers.  The marketing programmes include most significantly face-to-face fundraising (from stands in retail space or expos/outdoor events and door-to-door) and DRTV advertising, plus some print campaigns, payroll giving and 3rd party marketing.  The role will also manage development projects that could include aspects of digital fundraising.  An important part of the role is developing advertising for the nation’s largest charity appeal, the Poppy Appeal each November.

RBL introduced a new fundraising strategy last year called ‘Three Giants’ to focus on protecting and strengthening three vital areas of income generation, the Poppy Appeal, individual giving and gifts in wills.  Now is an exciting time to join the charity to help to implement the strategic change and to be a key stakeholder or lead in a variety of cross-team workstreams.  

As an experienced senior marketing manager, you would hit the ground running to optimally deliver plans with your team, whilst helping to shape programme strategies and review supply requirements.  You will need experience of managing and coaching teams and working in a truly collaborative way with colleagues, teams and suppliers, leading by example in accordance with RBL’s values.

You won’t shy away from complexity and getting to grips with the details of the broad array of appeals/products your team will be marketing and associated systems, budgeting, reporting and KPI measurements for each of them.  You’ll strive for excellence, ensuring campaigns are compelling and effective and will be able to capably resolve issues at a senior level and take on new challenges.

Discovery is a student-run, charity based at Swansea University.  Each year, more than 400 student volunteers deliver community-based projects to enrich the lives of the community around them.

The role of the Volunteering Projects Manager

The Volunteering Projects Manager is responsible for the support, development and effectiveness of our projects. Providing a high level of support, coaching and development to our student volunteer project coordinators.

 

Salary –  £30,124.49 (Please not this is NOT pro rata. Discovery is a 4 day week organisation, the salary specified above is for a 28 hr working week.)

Working hours 28 per week (we are a 4 day week organisation)

Normal working hours will be agreed between 9 and 5.30, Tuesday to Friday  with a half hour unpaid lunch break, some out of hours working will be expected for which time of in lieu will be granted. Exact working hours to be agreed with the Director.

Annual leave allowance – 26 days pro rata plus bank holidays. Usually taken outside of term time and must be agreed with the line manager.

The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to service users and staff in drug and alcohol, hostel and homeless services, increasing hepatitis C awareness, access to testing and referral to treatment, for people living with hepatitis C. 

Do you have experience of working in drug services and with volunteers? Have you been affected by hepatitis C or have you supported anyone who has hepatitis C? We are looking for a passionate and skilled peer lead who has excellent communication and organisational skills. Working under the guidance of the Peer Programme Manager, this post will continue the development of the project, recruiting and coordinating peers across identified areas within Eastern ODN. Working in partnership with hepatitis C clinical teams, drug and alcohol services and homeless service providers, the post will coordinate delivery of educational workshops, hepatitis C testing in community settings, ensure that service users are referred and supported through hepatitis C treatment and care. 

This post will require extensive travel across Bedford and Luton (and the surrounding areas) and the post holder is required to hold a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.

We are looking for a dynamic and detail orientated leader to cover our Head of Learning and Development role to ensure that our people learn the skills and gain the knowledge that they need to do their best work with our clients.

About the role:

We're looking for someone with the values, skills and knowledge to lead our learning and development function for a fixed period that will include project, budget, team and people management, developing new programmes of learning, commissioning training, developing an annual training plan and developing current systems and processes.

Particular projects and workstreams that you would pick up in this role would include developing and rolling out a new programme of learning for our night staff, increasing our benefit from apprenticeships and building on our existing training for future, new and established managers.

· Work with the team marketing lead to create compelling copy to promote events and help recruit supporters and donors.

· Create and manage a volunteer fundraising programme to support more community fundraising across the organisation, including volunteer fundraiser recruitment.

· Analyse and report on the success of campaigns and programmes.

We are looking for a Project Lead (peer support) who will manage all aspects of  a new project, from developing detailed plans and timelines to collaborating with our steering committee to define objectives and success criteria. You’ll take charge of volunteer management, ensuring adherence to policies, leading recruitment and training sessions, and providing ongoing support to our dedicated volunteers. By building strong links with the community and engaging with existing support groups and healthcare professionals, you’ll help to create a robust network for those affected by ovarian cancer. Additionally, you’ll oversee communication strategies, produce high-calibre progress reports, and continuously evaluate the project’s impact.  This project is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund

The role is a full time, 35 hours per week, 3 year fixed-term contract position.

We currently offer a hybrid-working model. The Role:

As the Skills Centre Manager, you will play a key role in helping adults with diverse needs to develop life skills, increase independence, and become active members of their community.

Main responsibilities:

* Lead a dedicated team of activity coordinators to ensure the smooth daily running of the Skills Centre.
* Develop a vibrant and engaging programme of activities that promotes independence, wellbeing, and personal choice.
* Build meaningful partnerships with external agencies and local authorities to expand and develop services.
* Measure the impact of activities to ensure positive outcomes for those who use the services.
* Work closely with senior leadership to manage budgets and report on key performance indicators.

Essential requirements:

* Experience managing a medium-sized team in a social care, skills centre, or similar environment.
* Commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for adults with disabilities.
* Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
* Experience leading sessions that foster life skills and social inclusion.
* Proactive approach to developing and growing services through external partnerships.

It's an exciting time to join Mind's Physical Activity team as Physical Activity Lead. We believe sport and physical activity can build resilience, support and enable mental health recovery, and tackle mental health stigma. We have a track record of delivering impactful programmes with Sport England, the English Football League (EFL), ASICS and many other partners.

As Physical Activity Lead, you will lead on the implementation of our physical activity programmes focusing on marginalised communities. This work explores how physical activity can support the mental health of people from racialised communities and people facing poverty.

You will manage our existing partnerships with Sporting Equals, Muslim Sports Foundation and England Boxing. Your will also identify and build new partnerships, particularly with organisations who support people from the African and Caribbean Community.

Throughout the role, you will engage people from marginalised communities to inform and influence our work. This will include working with our Lived Experience Advisors who shape our marginalised communities' work.

This post is funded by Sport England and the National Lottery as part of our system partnership. The role is fixed term full time until March 2027.

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

-Lead the implementation of our physical activity programmes focusing on marginalised communities. This includes reviewing and activating the recommendations from our Audience scoping work around people from racialised communities and people facing poverty.

-Account manage our portfolio of equity partnerships with organisations who support, engage and work with marginalised communities. Ensuring a positive working relationship is developed across both organisations, brokering wider relationships with colleagues in Mind and through our networks, and ensuring partners become sector leaders.

-Identify opportunities and partnerships to support the mental health of marginalised communities, particularly from African and Caribbean communities, through physical activity.

-Provide consultancy support to organisations working with marginalised communities through our Embedding mental health in sport and physical activity: our jigsaw approach subject to capacity and strategic fit. The scope may include, but is not limited to auditing mental health provision, supporting strategy or policy development, providing content for resources or delivering workshops.

-Engage with people from marginalised communities including people from racialised communities and people fighting poverty, to ensure lived experience engagement within our physical activity programme delivery and wider policy work. This includes working with our Lived Experience Advisors to shape our work.

-Lead on the promotion of Mind's Sector Support Universal Offer through developing a promotional plan and coordinating the team's attendance at events and communications to promote resources, working closely with the Physical Activity Coordinator.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our small and dynamic team during an exciting period of growth for the organisation. This newly created role will be crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission and ensure the financial sustainability of the Charity. It will include identifying new funding opportunities as well as producing several initiatives including building our regular donors, corporate partnerships and legacy campaigns.
