In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the effective administration, maintenance and development of relevant FLEX’s resources and systems. This role involves leading on HR processes, including recruitment and onboarding, staff development and training, etc. as well as tasks related to governance and compliance, finance and grant administration. Role description

Title: Interim General Manager

Contract: 24 hours per week (3 days). 6 month temporary contract (extended leave cover)

Location: Remote and at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre 

Salary: £50,470.00 full-time pa; pro rata

Our General Manager is going on an extended leave, so we are looking for someone who can lead the team, continue our fundraising efforts and generally hold the fort for six months. 

Some of the key milestones of the period the new General Manager will be responsible for include: supporting the team in hosting a fundraising event, meeting key grant writing deadlines, supporting Finance Lead in producing the end of year accounts and all on-going financial reporting, renewing corporate sponsorship agreements with current partners.

We are interested in hearing from individuals who could cover all areas of the role including fundraising (3 days / week); as well as those who could take on the General Manager role but might not have fundraising experience (2 days / week) and fundraisers (specifically with experience in writing grants) who might prefer a part time assignment such as this (1 day / week).

We are open to recruiting one person or two depending on candidates’ experiences and preferences.

The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre is an award-winning charity launched by a team of volunteers in 2017. In December 2021 we opened our first physical space in London’s bankside.

About Viewpoint 

Viewpoint develops innovative ways that support people with a lived experience of mental health issues and / or addiction challenges. Across Hertfordshire we work with over 800 experts by experience and put them at the centre of everything we do. Principal Responsibilities:

About the role

The main purpose of this role is to develop and deliver our approach to maintain and grow corporate fundraising income, to support our mission to improve mental health in Hampshire. You will join us at an exciting time, having just launched our new three-year strategy, and this role is pivotal in helping us achieve our strategic ambitions in the years ahead.

About you

You will be an experienced corporate fundraiser or have relevant relationship fundraising or B2B sales experience, together with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding financial and other targets. You will be an effective communicator with excellent written and presentation skills. You should possess good negotiating and influencing skills, as well as excellent relationship management skills, and be highly pro-active and skilled in generating new business leads and moving warm prospects through the ‘sales’ cycle. 

You will demonstrate the ability to motivate and develop your direct reports and will ideally have experience supervising both staff and volunteers.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced feminist Fundraising Manager to set RISE on a new path to independence. We are looking for a new person to join us to grow income, to enable us to diversify our fundraising approach, including major donors, legacy giving and securing corporate support and sponsorship. You will be managing a small team and working closely with the CEO.

RISE is a relatively small but highly respected women-centred domestic abuse charity deeply embedded in the Brighton and Hove community with 30 years’ experience. Our vision is ‘Freedom from Abuse and Violence’ and our strategic aims are on our website.

The role has clear fundraising priorities, but we are looking for someone willing to lend-a-hand to support our high-profile events and able to work well as part of a relatively small staff team. We are hoping to find someone who is a confident and organised feminist leader and an influencer who is as committed and passionate as we are to ending male violence and abuse.

RISE is a relatively small organisation with around 20 staff. We are a busy and (for our size) complex charity, with a friendly team, a positive ethos, and a commitment to ensuring that RISE is a strong and efficient organisation and a great place to work.

VAWG ADVOCATE JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT SAFETY4SISTERS

Safety4Sisters (S4S) is a specialist Black and minoritised by and for women’s organisation based in Manchester. Our aim is to promote the human rights of migrant women experiencing a spectrum of gendered violence by providing a trauma informed, specialist, holistic and integrative programme of support to Black and minoritised survivors with NRPF. Support is underpinned by the following strands of services and activities; culturally competent advocacy, welfare and destitution support, a specialist refuge dedicated to migrant women with NRPF, therapeutic activities, groups and training, social activities, a helpline for both professionals and women, grassroots campaigning, and strategic advocacy.

 

JOB PURPOSE

 To provide information, advice, support and advocacy work on all  forms  of  gender  based  violence faced by migrant women,  including  forced  marriage,  rape  and  sexual  abuse,  honour  based  crimes  and  related  issues  such  as  immigration/asylum  and  no  recourse  to  public  funds,  matrimonial  and  children,  housing  and  homelessness,  mental  health  and  financial  matters.  Your  casework  will  focus  on  women  with  complex  needs. 

Please note we will also consider applicants that do not have significant experience in this sector as there will be training & development opportunity once in post.

 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide  a  professional  high-­quality  VAWG  advocacy  service to women accessing outreach support and to women residing in our refuge.

2. Undertake  casework  and  advocacy  (this  will  include  liaising  with  relevant  professionals  and  agencies  such  as  solicitors,  social  workers,  police  officers  etc.) 

3. Provide  practical  support  such  as  accompanying  women  to  appointments  and  courts,  making  reports  to  such  agencies  or  collecting  belongings  and  otherwise  taking  all  necessary  steps  to  ensure  the  general  safety  and  wellbeing  of  women  and  children. 

4. Write  assessment  reports  and  support  letters,  and  under  supervision,  help  to  collect  evidence  and  statements,  as  well  as  undertake  some  basic  legal  representation.

5. Undertake risk assessments for referral to the Multi-­Agency Risk Assessment Conferences  (MARACs) 

6. Establish  links  with  key  partners  [local  authority,  police,  health,  schools,  etc.]  to  ensure  effective  referral  routes  and  information  sharing  protocols.

7. Assist in the running of the Lotus Hub, including covering the Helpline when required and providing follow on advocacy to Lotus Hub service users.

8. Assist  in  developing  and  meeting  quality  standards  in  relation  to  advice  and  casework.  This  includes  administration  and  IT  systems  for  advice  and  casework. 

9. Assist migrant women to access immigration advice, and assist in meeting their housing needs.

10. To  undertake  campaigning  and  policy  work  arising  from  the  advice  and  casework  (this  may  involve  some  weekend/evening  work)

11. Where  necessary  to  assist  staff  in  organising  and  running  support  group  activities  and  consultations  for  women  who  are  isolated  and  vulnerable  due  to  their  experiences  of  violence  and  abuse.

12. To  publicise  and  provide  S4S  services,  and  attend,  contribute  and  represent  the  organisation  at  relevant  local  meetings  or  initiatives. 

13. To  support and mentor the Women’s Council.

14. Follow  S4S policies  and  procedures,  and  maintain  IT  and  case  file  management  systems.

15. Contribute  to  S4S  record  keeping  and  provide  information  for  monitoring,  evaluation,  policy,  and  research  and  training  purposes. 

16. Ensure  women  are  referred  to  S4S  projects  and  activities  as  required  for  example,  counselling or group work.

17. Be  self-­servicing  and  to  assist  other  workers  when  required. 

18. Undertake  any  additional  duties  which  will  contribute  to  the  smooth  running  of  the  S4S services  and  projects.

Administration Support Assistant
Salary: £17,850 for 3.5 days per week (FTE £25,500)

The Administrative Support Assistant will work with the Engagement Team for 1 day per week to ensure important ongoing administrative and business tasks and supporting the team to deliver face to face and digital events, engagement, communications and volunteer support.

The Administration Support Assistant will also work for Somerset Environmental Records Centre Team (SERC) for 2.5 days per week to support with the data flow process, managing data uploads and enquiries from customers.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Responsibility 1: Data Support

• Supporting SERC Manager and team with updating the SERC website, particularly regarding SWT event advertising.
• Monitoring of SERC email accounts and coming up with a system to coordinate the inboxes together and reduce our carbon emissions.
• Contributing to the SERC team’s production of protocols for the management of data, to ensure the integrity of data.
• Assisting the team in coming up with an online filing system and digitising paper records, particularly Local Wildlife Site files.
• Assisting with the timely and accurate flow of data into the species database. Moving casual and consultancy data submissions from emails into the data entry filing systems.
• Editing and manipulating Excel Spreadsheets of species records and entering them into Recorder and the Online Recording System.
• Extracting data from recorder and other systems where trained and assisting with programmes such as digitising Local Wildlife Site (LWS) site files and LWS reviews and the review and updating of the Somerset State of Nature report.
• Taking opportunities to develop own skills and those of others in the team (including volunteers) by work shadowing, attending events and other training courses.

Responsibility 2: Volunteer & Communications Support

Provide outstanding and consistent administrative support for Engagement Team colleagues by:

• Working closely with the Volunteering and Community Support Officer to support advertising, onboarding and general administration of volunteering and community activities.
• Monitoring and responding to the volunteer and event email enquiries - processing, recording and forwarding as required.
• Ensuring the volunteer pages on the website and social media are updated to show volunteer vacancies and volunteer role descriptions.
• Listing engagement events on the SWT website, Eventbrite?and quarterly newsletter
• Being responsible for bookings and procurements for events and training opportunities, both in person and online, when required (booking venues, reminders, refreshments, background tech etc)
• Recording volunteer hours and supplying this data to support funding bid writing and reporting.
• Supporting volunteer recognition by working with staff where necessary to celebrate individual achievement and recognise milestones.
• Being responsible for volunteer post including pin badges and retirement letters.
• Working with the membership team to ensure that volunteer records are up to date and in line with prevailing GDPR and Data Protection legislation, including annual data check.
• Inputting engagement team data into spreadsheets and our CRM system. (inc. data entry to Raisers Edge)?

Responsibility 3: General Administrative Duties

Provide accurate and timely support by:

• Supporting with the review of policies, procedures and forms as and when required.
• Ensuring the Trust’s Health and Safety policies and procedures are effectively implemented.
• Attending internal and external meetings, preparing agendas and minutes.
• Being proactive with other administrative tasks as required.
• Administrating postage - addressing, distributing and preparing letters for posting including using a franking machine.
• Ordering stock.
• Ensuring staff have availability of correct uniform and liaising with the PCR business administrator to order new uniform,
• Providing administrative support to the staff within the engagement team and SERC
• Booking rooms using our online calendar booking system.

Receptionist

Reporting to the Supporter Experience Specialist the Receptionist at Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) Rochester will act as the first point of contact for people communicating by phone, email or in person. Being the first contact for a number of donors, supporters and visitors the post holder will be responsible for setting the tone of a high quality of support and customer service, championing our external-facing standards.

The role requires the post holder to meet, greet and provide information to visitors in a friendly, professional and welcoming manner. The post holder will also be responsible for the handling of telephone calls and emails received through the Charity’s main channels. Other duties will include dealing with the regular opening, distributing and sending of post, creating and updating supporter records, and supporting other income generation departments during busy periods.

The post holder should have both excellent communication and organisation skills to meet the requirements of this role. They should also be a confident computer user and have the ability to blend a professional and warm personality to deliver an excellent first impression in line with the values of the Charity.

This is a pivotal role in a busy office, and the postholder will need to be adept at dealing with conflicting priorities, confidently prioritising and proactively managing their workload.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

- Greeting visitors in a friendly, professional and welcoming manner, representing KSS with a positive attitude and professional appearance, and dealing with queries independently or by directing to a relevant colleague.
- Managing the Charity’s main telephone lines during work hours and dealing with incoming calls in a professional, efficient and friendly manner.

- Ensuring that all long staying visitors are signed in and out of the building and referring them to relevant safety documentation regarding KSS health and safety practices.
- Offering administrative support to produce, print and send letters, also sending materials as needed, including KSS branded items and additional information
- Supporting and collaborating with Reception Volunteers to help deliver consistent administrative processes and supporter experience under the guidance of the Supporter Experience Specialist and Officer
- Adhering to relevant training and legislation, including GDPR, as set out by KSS
- Monitoring the Front of House area and be proactive in ensuring that the area is always tidy, presentable, free from any hazards and displaying relevant information.

A leading Multi-Academy Trust comprised of 11 primary and secondary schools in the East Midlands is seeking a minimum of 2 Senior Finance Business Partners for full-time, permanent roles.

With a salary of £55,000 per annum plus an excellent local government pension scheme, the roles will be largely onsite at the Trust’s Head Office in Kettering and onsite at the schools – either in Kettering, Corby or Wisbech.

The roles will involve producing management accounts and genuine strategic finance business partnering to a range of budget holders in schools – headteachers, senior leadership team members, catering and IT Managers etc. There may also be some budgeting and analysis at central Trust level in addition to working with the schools.

The role also involves costing and cost analysis, interpreting complex financial data, journal postings and assisting with year-end close.

Being a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) is an essential criteria for these roles. Prior experience within a Multi-Academy Trust or from within the Education sector would be advantageous. Experience working with facilities, catering or IT budgets and departments would also be of interest – but not essential.

The roles are responsible for enhancing strategic financial analysis and insight to enable the understanding, of financial reporting on Trust performance to key stakeholders, including the Trust Executive Team, Heads of Professions and school leadership teams. The roles will ensure the efficient and effective allocation of resource, integrating finance and curriculum planning, allocating and managing finance in line with ESFA and academy handbook financial requirements.

The positions report to the Head of Finance Business Partnering and do not line manage anyone.

Duties will include:

-Develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders across the Trust, ensuring KPIS, professional strategic financial advice and guidance is provided and applied effectively

-Ensure monthly reporting is accurate, fit for purpose and facilitates effective decision making at school and Trust level in conjunction with the requirements of the CFO and best practice

-Provide analysis and insight, linking financial reports to School and Trust strategies

-Provide ongoing higher-level support and guidance on financial matters to relevant stakeholders

-Support and advise budget holders on the development and submission of business cases as and when required, maximising the link and priority of good financial stewardship and front-line education delivery

-To undertake project- based work for specific projects and programmes

-Provide quality information as required for external bodies for example to the ESFA or the external auditors

-To undertake any other duties, commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required from time to time.

Candidate requirements:

-Fully-qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA accountant essential

-Demonstrable experience in a similar Senior/Strategic Finance Business Partnering role – ideally dealing with multiple cost-centres and a diverse range of budget holders

-The ability to be hands-on and produce management accounts, journal entries etc

-Experience with costing / cost analysis

-Creative and pragmatic problem solver with the ability to interpret and present back on complex financial data

-The ability to work onsite at the Trust’s Head Office in Kettering on a Wednesday, and spend the rest of the week onsite at the allocated schools in Kettering, Corby or Wisbech (it may be possible to work from home 1 day per week)

-An interest in the Education sector is highly desirable
