Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Communications, in this key, hands-on role the Fundraising Manager will deliver and influence the Fundraising strategy, to meet financial targets and increase the profile of the organisation and its activity.

The Housing Advice Practitioner will by providing tailored advice and guidance through mainly remote online or phone support, as well as in person housing advice at a weekly housing advice surgery in the community. Job Purpose:
The On-call Out-of-Hours (OOH) Support Officer will provide vital support during evenings, weekends, and holidays to women survivors of domestic violence, particularly migrant women from East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) communities. This role is key to ensuring the safety and well-being of residents in the safe accommodation, providing immediate support in crisis situations, and maintaining the quality of care outside regular office hours.
Main Responsibilities:
· Provide reassurance and immediate, out-of-hours support to the women residing in the safe accommodation, responding to crisis situations, emotional distress, and safety concerns.
· Work closely with the Safe Accommodation Project Manager and other team members to ensure seamless handover and continuity of care between regular and out-of-hours services.
· Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions and incidents that occur during OOH shifts, ensuring that all relevant information is communicated to the day team.
· Support the women in accessing emergency services, legal assistance, and other resources as needed during OOH hours.
· Ensure safeguarding practices are followed, reporting any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead promptly.
· Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about best practices, organisational policies, and updates related to the service.
· Collaborate with partner organisations, emergency services, and other relevant bodies to provide comprehensive support to the women during OOH hours.
· Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by the Safe Accommodation Project Manager, VAWG Programme Manager, or other senior staff.
Person Specification:
· Experience in providing support to women survivors of domestic violence, particularly in an out-of-hours or crisis response capacity
· Strong understanding of safeguarding practices and procedures, with experience handling sensitive and confidential information
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide empathetic and non-judgmental support to individuals in distress
· Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
· Familiarity with the challenges faced by migrant communities, particularly ESEA women, in accessing support services
· Experience in maintaining accurate records and reporting on service delivery.
· Has basic first-aid training
Skills and Experience:

About the role
This is a newly created position at Woman’s Trust, reflecting the critical need for impactful insights and evaluation of our services. The successful candidate will have:
· Ideally you will have 3-4 years’ experience in a similar individual giving role.
· Previous line management experience, including conducting 1-1s and appraisals.
· An understanding of charity law, GDPR, data protection, PECR and the code of fundraising practice.
· Be a natural storyteller, able to demonstrate impact of support to encourage donations and increase retention.

Key Responsibilities
Donor management
- Write tailored, inspirational applications and project reports addressing grant-making priorities or requirements as specified
- Create and maintain a schedule of approaches to new, lapsed, and existing funders; developing, writing, and delivering creative and engaging proposals in line with the objectives and criteria of each funder
- Work collaboratively across teams and areas of operation identifying new funding opportunities, reporting on impact and evaluation
- Develop and implement a programme and methodology of approaches to small, medium and large trusts
- Work toward an agreed annual work plan meeting targets and milestones; prioritising workload and planning activity.
Identifying funding opportunities to ensure that our charity broadens awareness of and funding for our vital work
- Identify and research a comprehensive pipeline of realistic funding opportunities including trusts and corporate foundations
- Maintain a broad knowledge of the organisation’s funding needs
- Liaise closely with senior managers and teams to plan and develop the strongest possible proposals
- Approach funders, develop and maintain new relationships and access new fundraising opportunities
- Regularly research new opportunities via cold trusts
Developing strong relationships with funders
- Develop and maintain stewardship plans to keep all funders engaged with the impact of their support, including managing visits
- Report to key funders on progress, expenditure, and future plans
- Working with delivery and management staff to ensure that funder objectives and monitoring requirements are met
- Maintain accurate records and information about funders on Raiser’s Edge NXT and in communication with the finance team
- Identify and initiate opportunities for funders to engage with Toynbee Hall beyond their funded project
Strategic
- Plan and deliver individual fundraising projects; developing new fundraising ideas and engaging internal and external stakeholders to deliver them
- Work with Head of Fundraising to report and forecast progress against established targets for income, research, and relationship development
- Stay informed of developments and trends in fundraising by monitoring sector news and networking with appropriate organisations
- Work with Executive team and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) to leverage their contacts and expertise
Team responsibility
- Develop and maintain mutually supportive internal relationships with project teams, finance, monitoring and senior management
- Work in line with the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practice, Fundraising Regulator

We're seeking a dynamic individual who can mobilise Christians to respond to some of the most pressing humanitarian crises in our world today. Medair is a Christian humanitarian organisation that responds to conflict, disease, and disaster so that the world’s most vulnerable and hard-to reach people can live with dignity and hope.
We're looking for someone with a proven track-record of developing and delivering meaningful partnerships with local churches and national networks. You will need to be a relational leader, an effective communicator and a self-starter able to kick-off new initiatives. Ideally you will being first-hand experience of working within a church, a keen understanding of the UK church landscape, and a strong personal network.
This new role presents an opportunity for someone to shape strategy, initiate new activities and be a public voice to this growing network in the UK. You will be a senior and integral part of Medair UK. Through your actions you will inspire churches and Christian audiences to give, pray and even go, working with Medair in our Country Teams. You will enable support for the life-saving work Medair delivers to some of the world’s most vulnerable people by leading our relationships with Churches across the UK.
The role is being advertised as full time, however we are open to part-time working for the right candidate. We are a hybrid team, based out of our office in Kennington, London, with most of the team being in the office once or twice a week. Key Activity Areas
External Engagement & Relationship Building

Lead on our external engagement with churches across the UK, growing the number of churches engaging in the mission of Medair through giving, prayer and awareness raising.

Develop strategies for raising awareness, creating connections and establishing relationships with an increasing number of new churches with a bias towards those with a younger congregation.

Collaborate with the Medair UK Director, Trustees and Senior Leadership across Medair in the relationships they hold and can grow.

Steward relationships with caseload of Churches through effective communication, timely reports and creative touchpoints so that depth of relationship is established with churches that have donated, prayed and engaged with the mission of Medair.

Work towards an agreed income target each year of churches that are giving towards emergency appeals and contributing unrestricted funds towards our work.

Deliver Medair’s presence at Christian events including the oversight of volunteers, speakers and staff to maximize our presence at these opportunities.

Cultivate regular speaking opportunities for yourself and the wider team to deliver in churches, prayer networks and regional gatherings introducing people to the mission of Medair and equipping people to pray for those in crises.
Resource Development & Volunteer Management

Strengthen Medair UK’s engagement with churches by developing profile raising resources and ensuring all fundraising appeals are designed and delivered to maximise church take-up.

Oversee the delivery of our monthly prayer email, and ad-hoc prayer resources, as well as working collaboratively with colleagues in Medair UK and the wider group to commission resources that will engage Christian audiences.

With the support of the Engagement Support Officer co-ordinate all requests for speakers in churches ensuring that a staff member or alumni, is available and well briefed ahead of time.

Oversee the management the Medair UK alumni network – developing events, online and in-person, personal touchpoints and communications that will encourage this warm audience to keep enthused about Medair and growing our awareness in there networks.
Church Management

Manage the related tasks of the Engagement Support Officer whose role is split with 60% on Trusts and Foundations, and 40% on Churches and Alumni. This is matrix-management as the Engagement Support Officer is line managed by the Grants Manager.

Oversee the receipting and acknowledgement of all financial support from churches, using creative ways to thank and steward churches and supporters who generously donate.

Maintain an up-to-date and accurate record of church relationships on our CRM (salesforce), monitoring engagement events, income targets, key contacts and audience growth.
Internal Liaison

Liaise with Medair’s Heads of Country Programmes, Country Directors and Communications Officers in order to gather information and data for the purposes of applying and reporting to funders.

About Us
We are a small, dedicated local charity committed to supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Our mission is to provide free and inclusive, counselling, support services and outreach to empower female survivors’ recovery from the trauma of childhood sexual abuse.
We are based in Leicester, and this role will require the post holder to be primarily office based. (There is some flexibility to work from home occasionally). The schedule for this role is flexible and can be agreed to fit with existing commitments.
Role Overview
As the Operations Manager, you will be at the heart of ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our charity's day-to-day operations. This role is integral to maintaining the flow of our work, enabling the team to deliver on our mission of supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
In a small charity, flexibility is key—no two days are ever the same. You will find yourself involved in a diverse range of tasks, from streamlining processes and managing resources to coordinating team activities and tackling unforeseen challenges. This variety demands a proactive approach and a problem-solving mindset, as you will often need to think creatively to overcome obstacles and find effective solutions.
A key strategic aim for 2025 is to diversify our income, working closely with the CEO, you will develop and implement innovative alternative income generation programmes to help support the future of the organisation, therefore project management experience would be an advantage. This role is funded for 12 months by a grant with specific outcome targets, so you’ll need to be able to hit the ground running and learn quickly, but don’t worry you’ll be fully supported.
