About this job
We’re looking for an Events Fundraiser to join our Community, Events, and Retail Fundraising team, supporting the delivery of our third party events activities.
You’ll plan, develop, and promote a well-established portfolio of third party challenge events, working to achieve set income targets, while ensuring an outstanding supporter experience for our event participants.

In this role, you will report to the Acquisition Manager and primarily focus on the acquisition of new donors and members through various channels. Your efforts will support events and community fundraising initiatives, providing stewardship to the charity supporters and maximising engagement.
As an Individual Giving Officer you will:
- Support the planning and delivery of targeted campaigns for new and existing supporters
- Coordinate campaign materials with external suppliers, ensuring they align with the charity brand and are delivered on time and within budget

- Support and grow the acquisition of new members through face to face, digital, and telemarketing channels
- Assist in managing fundraising events and community fundraisers, ensuring excellent stewardship

To help us deliver this new regional model, we are looking for 2 healthcare professionals to take on the role of Regional Clinical Lead on a consultancy basis.

What will be expected of you in this role
You’ll:
- Be expected to co-opt a multidisciplinary leadership team to support you in your role. This team should reflect the multi-professional composition of regional services, as well as the geography and should include at least one person with Parkinson's.
- Drive engagement and participation with the Excellence Network at a regional level.
- Inspire, challenge and collaborate with the health and social care professional community to drive significant improvements to Parkinson’s services across your region.
- Act as a professional ambassador for the Excellence Network and help represent the professionals in your region.
- Engage with Integrated Care Board (ICB) leaders to help influence the development of your Integrated Care System (ICS).
- Work closely with the Professional Engagement team at Parkinson’s UK to organise and hold engagement opportunities in your region. This will include working with the team to hold and lead at least one in-person meeting in your region per year.
- Attend the annual in-person PEN National and Regional Clinical Leads meeting.
- Support the PEN national calendar of events through attendance or promotion. This includes Excellence Hub meetings and other activities centred around our national priorities.
- Work closely with the PEN National Clinical Leadership Team (CLT) to discuss and review national and regional priorities. Attend a virtual meeting with CLT 2 times per year.
What expertise you’ll bring
You’ll:
- Be a UK-based clinical healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with extensive interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged to apply.
- Have a good understanding of the landscape of health and social care delivery, education and workforce development to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.
What you can expect from Parkinson’s UK
You’ll:
- Be formally welcomed and introduced to the Excellence Network and your role as a regional clinical lead.
- Be provided with an introduction pack, which outlines all the activities of the PEN at a national, regional and local level, so that you can gain an understanding of where your role fits in.
- Meet regularly with the Professional Engagement team to discuss and plan activity in your region, working to a co-developed engagement plan for your PEN region. We will be flexible, taking into account your individual needs.
- Meet with the Professional Engagement Lead or Associate Director of Policy & Health Strategy after 6 months in the role for a review meeting and then annually thereafter (or more frequently if required).
- Be provided with a set of resources and information to support you in your role eg. a ready made presentation on the PEN, data from the services within your patch, including relevant data from the UK Parkinson’s Audit.
- Be invited to an annual event for the National and Regional Clinical Leads, to provide updates, training and opportunities for discussion.
A bit more about the opportunity
Time commitment will be 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.
Monthly rate will be based on skills and experience.
Term of consultancy services will be set tenure of 3 years from date of appointment, with an option to extend once for a further 3 years.
We will also ask you/your employer to send across a monthly invoice to the Professional Engagement Manager at Parkinson’s UK and include a short paragraph outlining what you’ve done in the role each month. We can provide an example of this.

The role
We are looking for a dynamic and creative Fundraising and Communications Officer who can help us to make a difference to people’s lives when national emergencies arise in the UK. That could be a flood, fire, act of terror or tragic accident - but whatever it is, you’ll be playing a vital supporting role in helping those affected to recover and rebuild their lives.
Working in to the Head of Fundraising (HoF) and Communications colleagues, you’ll help to implement our fundraising strategy, which encompasses relationships with corporate and major donors, and Trusts and Foundations, as well as public fundraising initiatives.
During UK disasters you’ll support our nationwide public-facing fundraising appeals to meet the needs of those affected. Outside of appeals you’ll help to build strong relationships with supporters, and deliver engaging campaigns and events across a range of channels.

The Role
Support the Digital Fundraising team with the execution of our Digital fundraising programme.
Provide support to the Digital Fundraising Officers in the stewardship of our digital event participants.
Carry out market research on other virtual fundraising communities in the sector, sharing and applying learning to your work at the charity helping to ensure it remains a leader in this space
Maintain high standards of data capture by using external databases to record and edit registration and fundraising data, ensuring it is correct and reported into the main CRM in a timely manner, in accordance with the teams and external stakeholders requirements.
Moderate the virtual challenge social media groups, creating safe spaces, drafting, and scheduling inspirational and useful content, engaging with posts, responding to queries, and providing first-class supporter care.
Act as a main point of contact across all communication channels for supporters taking part in virtual fundraising activities. Manage multiple inboxes daily (including Outlook, Messenger, Facebook, and Twitter) and respond to challenge and fundraising queries, signpost to Bereavement Support and provide other administrative support as required.
Support with the fulfilment of participant fundraising and thank you packs, ensuring order amendments are communicated and actioned.
Support organisations, groups and individuals fundraising online and ensure they abide by appropriate terms and conditions.

The Society of Antiquaries of Scotland are looking to hire a new member of staff to help co-ordinate and deliver the Finding Futures for Scotland’s Churches Project.
Working closely with Scotland’s Churches Trust, this role will collate country-wide information on both heritage and community value of Scotland’s churches. This will include collating existing information and where knowledge gaps are identified, co-ordinating heritage surveys, and engaging community-representative groups to undertake community value assessment applying the University of Stirling’s Social Value Toolkit. It will also involve setting up and supporting a network of key stakeholders.
Role: Research Officer– full-time, fixed term for two years.
Salary: £29,200 per annum, with an additional 10% pension contribution.
Contract: 24 months (2 years)
Hours: 37.5 hours (five days) per week with flexible daytime working hours on Monday–Friday, and an occasional requirement to assist at evening or weekend events with time of in lieu (TOIL) given for overtime provided.
Location: Hybrid working – all staff are expected to work from our office at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh at least twice per week (pro rata). Main Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Research and respective Directors of Scotland’s Churches Trust and the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland in project delivery
- Undertake a rapid needs assessment of Scotland’s church buildings, including both desk-based and proactive survey
- Create and maintain a database to store and share information
- Commission the creation of and maintain the project microsite, including adding regular work updates and project database
- Work with at least five community groups to undertake heritage survey using the Recording Churches Project
- Commission at least five community-representative organisations to undertake community value survey using the University of Stirling’s Social Value Toolkit methodology
- Support the work of the Finding Futures Action Group as secretariat
- Organise a symposium, workshops, and other project events as required
- Provide updated information to any relevant stakeholder (for example, to create updates to the Canmore database or Local Authority Historic Environment Record)
- Provide written reports and updates as required, and contribute to final project reporting

The Role:
