Habitat for Humanity Great Britain (Habitat GB) is part of the international Habitat for Humanity network. We address housing poverty worldwide by partnering with communities and families to help them achieve their dreams of safe, decent housing. 

Purpose of The role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Community Outreach Coordinator to join our growing, dynamic team. This role will support the development of a community hub attached to our charity retail “ReStore” in Romford—the first of its kind in the Great Britain. Globally, over 1,000 ReStores operate with the mission of upcycling unwanted home materials to support low-income households and promote a circular economy.

Beyond being a retail space, our ReStore aims to become a community hub offering additional targeted activities and services to those most vulnerable to housing insecurity. Our pilot programme will focus on supporting women recovering from domestic abuse or trafficking. These women will access free essential goods from the store, and benefit from workshops and courses such as upholstery, upcycling, art therapy, employability, confidence-building, and practical life skills.

Main Responsibilities 

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to design and maintain all community outreach activities. The Community Outreach Coordinator will represent Habitat GB, working with the leadership team to develop and implement initiatives that increase the community hub’s visibility and impact.

This position will:

· Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with collaborative partners in the housing support sector.

· Budget Preparation: Assist in preparing an annual budget for community outreach activities.

· Volunteer Management: Recruit, screen, and train volunteers.

· Event Coordination: Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.

· Special Event Organisation: Organise special events, including donor and volunteer appreciation events, and fundraising initiatives.

· Proposal Development: Support the development of proposals for new initiatives.

· Performance Tracking: Track and report on outreach performance and impact.

· Safety and Compliance: Ensure events and activities comply with regulatory standards, manage risk, and ensure program safety and quality assurance.

Person Specification

You will play a key role in developing and implementing community hub services and outreach efforts. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the people we support. This role is ideal for someone with a background in community outreach or social care, though we welcome applicants with relevant transferable experience and skills.

Skills and competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience of managing people or volunteers within a relevant sector.
• Skill in networking and liaising with specialist service providers or agencies to establish and improve service access for target groups, ideally within the housing support or related sector.
• Proven relationship-building skills to support collaboration and partnership activities.
• Understanding of the effects of trauma on people and how to work in a trauma-informed way.
• Good understanding of safeguarding practices in outreach work/social care and ability to work with confidentiality.
• Ability to effectively manage and, when designated, supervise diverse work activities.

Role Summary

The main function of the bookings team is to provide high quality customer service for the Into Film Festival. Initially this will be receiving calls, processing bookings and liaising with educators on email and on the phone. There will then be a need to make outbound calls to drive bookings, speak to attending teachers and liaise with cinemas to ensure the festival runs smoothly. This is an exciting, front-line, varied role requiring high level communication skills and a solution-focused attitude. It is an opportunity to develop customer service and CRM/Salesforce skills and work for the world’s largest film festival for young people.

Main Responsibilities: 

• To be the first point of contact for public festival enquiries; answering calls, processing bookings and problem-solving. 
• Liaising with the festival team to ensure all enquiries and issues are resolved. 
• Updating the daily incident log (via Excel) - this is used for tracking all enquiries/issues from cinemas. 
• Liaising with exhibitors as and when required and as directed.
• General support in relation to all aspects concerning the festival.

We are looking for a well-organised, highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a full-time Youth Worker (Youth Voice), supporting our mission to enable young people who are homeless, facing homelessness or unsafe to achieve independence and positive futures.
The successful candidate will work within the Youth Work Team to deliver our frontline drop-in service and support our weekly and monthly activities to all young people experiencing homelessness.
You’ll specialise in ensuring a diverse range of young people’s voices are heard, facilitating inclusive activities which increase youth participation across all our services and leading on the delivery of our youth forums. We have an ambitious plan to improve and accelerate our youth voice strategy and this role will be at the heart of this delivery.
You should be experienced in designing, planning and facilitating a range of activities and group work with and for young people and be able to work dynamically in a fast-paced day centre environment. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about youth engagement and skilled in bringing out the ideas, voices and opinions of young people to shape service delivery. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a background in running participatory youth projects, co-production, youth engagement sessions and/or community engagement.

The Network Lead plays a central role in helping us achieve our vision to end the need for food banks in the UK. This is a varied, proactive and fast-paced role that involves representing the Trussell Trust on policy and public affairs in the region/nation, the leadership of a dynamic team of area managers that supports the network of food banks in the region/nation to deliver emergency food, and the coordination of projects and partnerships to support the food banks in our network to reduce the need for their services locally. 

Role responsibilities 

• Strategic Leadership: Manage the delivery in the region/nation of food bank operations and key strategic projects that are part of the Trussell Trust’s five-year strategy to end the need for food banks.

• Projects and partnerships: Build partnerships and develop projects with organisations to develop and build services and systems that help end the need for food banks, including working with food banks to ensure that local churches (including church leaders) are connected to and have an understanding of the importance of ending the need for food banks in local communities. 

• Policy and public affairs: Engage with a wide range of external bodies, including elected representatives, faith and community organisations, and research bodies. 

• Team Leadership: Provide leadership, support and line management to the area managers. 

• Risk Management: Ensure consistent quality assurance of food banks across the region, in line with guidance from the safeguarding and quality team at the Trussell Trust, and support area managers to deal with complaints and manage food banks with high risks. 

• Cross-organisational working: Act as a liaison between the area team, the wider operations team, and other directorates, managing the flow of ideas and feedback to positive effect.

Technical skills and minimum knowledge: 

• Confidently represent the Trussell Trust with a range of stakeholders, including elected representatives, and effectively manage the roll-out of the organisational strategy in the region/nation. 

• Knowledge and experience of policy and public affairs, including a track record of successfully influencing politicians and key decision-makers to achieve strategic goals.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sustrans to engage and empower schools and the local community of South Tyneside, to deliver school streets and identify ways in which their neighbourhoods can be made better places for all. 

As the project officer, you will deliver activities in a variety of settings, including classrooms and assemblies, to develop children and young people's understanding of the benefits of active travel. You will also work alongside local authorities and other organizations collaboratively on the project. Supporting schools and community champions and harnessing local authority resources to make links between schools and communities. Sharing best School Street practice and reporting back experiences with the rest of the Sustrans School Streets team. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans. 

About you

You should have experience of working with children and young people, and delivering community led projects. You will deliver physical activity and other behaviour change projects. 

You will have good report writing and organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize your own workload and function on your own initiative limited supervision.

Vibrance has an exciting opportunity for a Housing Officer to join our small and busy Housing team in Bethnal Green. We are offering full time or part time roles and the full time equivalent salary is £28,000 per annum , plus benefits including the opportunity for hybrid working.

About the role:

As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for providing a housing management service to the service users living in Vibrance owned and managed services. You will provide support to Vibrance services in relation to health and safety, maintenance, housing law and tenancy issues, rent collection, and arrears management. You’ll also provide specific support and advice to individuals who use Vibrance services with housing matters and money advice.

The Housing Officer role will be supporting our services located across London & South- East England and as such ability to travel is essential.

Responsibilities as our Housing Officer will include:

• Supporting prospective service users (and their carers where appropriate) with all aspects of the moving in/out process, to ensure that people are able to make an informed decision about whether or not to move in or move out
• Ensuring that individuals are maximising their benefits, including supporting them to make claims and liaising with the Dept of Work and Pensions and Housing Benefit staff as necessary
• Providing support to ensure that individuals are able to maintain their tenancies, including debt/arrears management, anti-social behaviour resolution, and the issues that can arise from shared living
• Working alongside our service managers and landlords to ensure that accommodation remains fit for purpose, well maintained, suitable for the individual residents and that all health & safety responsibilities are being met

Job Title: Family Finding Worker

Salary: £10,395 per annum + £300 per annum home working allowance

TACT South West are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with experience in administration within the social care field for their Family Finding Worker post. This role is home-based, and it will cover placements Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, Wiltshire, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, Gloucestershire.

The Family Finding Worker is responsible for receiving placement requests for children who need to be looked after and matching them to our foster carer in close cooperation with the Duty Social Worker.  The role requires exceptional communication skills and discretion, sensitivity and the capability to deal with conflicting priorities at times. The Family Finding Worker will be an integral part of this outstanding team and be required to attend in person events, training an team wellbeing, on a regular basis, local to Bristol.

FTWW: Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales is the only patient-led charity and disabled people’s organisation in Wales dedicated to achieving health equality for women, girls, and people registered female at birth.

Our Vision is for a Wales where everybody’s right to good health and wellbeing is respected and fulfilled, with everyone able to access the healthcare they need, when they need it, and without barriers.

The role of Volunteer Coordinator is a new one for FTWW. Our successful candidate will ensure members are supported and equipped to participate in engagement activities which broaden the reach of the organisation and increase awareness of the wider community’s health and wellbeing needs. You will be key to our small, dedicated team, making sure FTWW is well set-up to maintain and grow its volunteering activity.

Teddington Methodist Circuit are seeking a  families and community layworker who can both work effectively with church groups, as well as offer a confident outward-looking approach to working with local communities, especially where there is a high level of social need.

The principal role will be to support the five circuit churches in delivering a range of projects designed to promote more active participation by children and their families in church life.

Building on an existing foundation of well-established groups, but with the scope to plan fresh initiatives in response to identified need, the postholder will be expected to provide direct leadership and support to volunteers who help deliver these services. 

Teddington Circuit is on the edge of Southwest London, within the London District.  Information about the circuit and its component churches can be found on our website.

We are seeking a candidate who can bring experience of delivering successful children and families groups and projects within a church context, and applying it to support the circuit in achieving its mission of engagement, participation and growing in faith.  Experience of working collaboratively with ecumenical partners would be desirable. 

The successful candidate will be a practicing Christian in sympathy with the doctrine and values of the Methodist Church.  There is an expectation that the candidate will be able to share their faith with others and support those who are seeking to begin or continue their spiritual journey.

The successful candidate will be home based and need to live within reasonable commuting distance of SW London. Given the nature of the work the hours will be spread across the week and may include some weekend activity.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Project Coordinator to lead on a new project focussing on Family Planning (FP) and Comprehensive Abortion Care (CAC) in five countries in Africa and Asia. This exciting project will focus on the WHO family planning and comprehensive abortion care toolkit, seeking to embed competency based learning (CBL) in these areas.

Specifically, this role will lead on:

· Developing a strategy for the dissemination and implementation of the "Family planning and comprehensive abortion care toolkit for the primary health care workforce" alongside other relevant frameworks and in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders.

· Supporting assessments of FP and CAC competency education and performance gaps across the five countries.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with experience in Project Coordination/Project Management to get this new project off the ground. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience working internationally or cross-culturally will be highly advantageous, as will French language skills (conversational level or higher).
