A fantastic Foundation working to tackle child poverty, deforestation and domestic abuse are looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager – Child Poverty.

Salary: Circa £50,000

Location: Central London (fully office based)

The Project Manager - Child Poverty will oversee projects aimed at reducing child poverty, particularly focusing on initiatives that tackle child hunger and provide necessary support services. This role involves managing partnerships with charities, planning and executing support initiatives, and engaging with community stakeholders to drive impactful change.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing projects addressing child poverty and hunger; developing project plans, timelines, and budgets and monitoring project progress.
• Planning, coordinating, and implementing initiatives to alleviate child hunger and provide support to children in need.
• Working closely with charities, schools, and community organisations to ensure effective delivery of support services.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with charitable organisations, community groups, and other stakeholders.
• Engaging with local communities to understand needs and tailor support initiatives accordingly.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Project Management, Public Administration, or a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in social programs or child welfare. Experience working with charities and managing community-based projects is key, as is a knowledge of child poverty issues and support systems in the UK.  You must also have the ability to travel within the UK as required.

As Health & Safety Manager, a typical day might include:

- Developing and embedding a positive H&S culture throughout the organisation, through daily actions messaging and ways of working, to ensure that positive H&S awareness and responsibility is the way things are done here.
- Monitoring our compliance against corporate occupational health, safety and regulatory measures, to make sure we are achieving the highest levels of compliance and safety.
- Putting together our operational and strategic H&S KPI performance measures, monitoring our performance, and using that data to drive performance improvement areas and insights.
- Supporting the Health and Safety Advisor in the delivery, support, and effective onboarding of all new employees to embed our safety culture and ways of working
- Providing H&S leadership and information on the Health and Safety Steering Group - contributing and support employees to understand, improve on, and deliver a high positive H&S culture.

- Inspections and investigations – working with the Health and Safety Advisor, ensure that inspections and all incident investigations are conducted to a high level, with any corrective actions implemented in a timely manner.
- Working with members of the People Services team on building our wellbeing program to ensure that we are supporting our people with their wellbeing and thriving at Acis.
- Designing and delivering the occasional H&S compliance course to our people, or a toolbox talk to make sure essential learning and safety updates are in place for our people.
- Leading on getting us ready for, and then maintaining, our target for achieving ISO45001 accreditation

- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Health and Safety Management

Key Responsibilities

Personal Administration Support

• Manage the Chief Executive’s diary, optimising the efficient use of time and resources through effective planning and ‘gate-keeping’ in a relational style that represents the charity’s values
• Ensure all necessary briefing papers and documents are compiled for the Chief Executive in good time in advance of meetings
• Prepare and present excellent Powerpoint and other presentations for internal and external audiences, e.g., meetings with donors, trustees and other key stakeholders.

Governance Support

• Co-ordinate and attend Trustees’ meetings, including arranging dates, preparing papers in advance, taking and sending out minutes
• Administrate the Investors’, Communications, Fundraising, Strategy and Finance, and other Trustee Steering Groups

A fantastic opportunity to join a Youth Charity Foundation as their new Relationships Manager, based in either London, Birmingham or Leeds. As Relationships Manager you will accompany local partnerships through the development and testing of potential local systemic solutions, acting as the key point of contact for the programme.

Job summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will work closely with the Chief Officer (CO) to grow the business activities of Headway Black Country (HBC).

The BDM's core purpose is to work with the CO, members of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and the Board of Trustees to identify and develop new business and funding opportunities, to enable HBC to meet our charitable objectives, specifically regarding the key themes of:

• Providing support: Offering practical advice, emotional support, and rehabilitation services to individuals who have experienced a brain injury, as well as their families and caregivers.
• Raising awareness: Increasing public understanding and awareness of brain injuries, their causes, and the impact they can have on individuals and their families.
• Promoting independence: Helping individuals with brain injuries to regain their independence, develop skills, and improve their quality of life through various programs and services.

You will provide support to the CO in the identification of opportunities, development, and submission of proposals, and managing the bid/tender processes from scoping through to implementation:

• To secure income from a range of sources to support the Strategic and Business Plans of Headway Black Country.
• To lead on the development of a range of new business opportunities.
• To build relationships with a range of key stakeholders to better position the organisation.

KEY TASKS

• Gain a full understanding of all areas of Headway Black Country to enable post-holder to identify and develop new opportunities.
• To undertake a market analysis to identify opportunities for growth, and to lead on the development of appropriate business products and services as agreed with the CO.
• To identify opportunities for service development through new funding streams, partnership, and commissioning opportunities.
• To lead on the management and preparation of funding bids, tenders, business proposals.
• Coordinate the implementation of agreed new projects and help to develop monitoring plans, and co-ordinating reporting arrangements.
• To develop positive relationships with a range of stakeholders providing funding to charities to raise awareness and promote HBC within the Region.
• Build relationships and partnerships and pursue funding avenues to realise new service activity in line with HBC charitable objectives.
• Implement and lead HBC Fundraising Committee and developing the organisation's funding strategy with the Chief Officer and Board of Trustees.
• Input into the website/ marketing materials to include new and potential development ideas.
• Collaborate and work as part of the management team on agreeing what Business Development Plans progress/ track and communicate progress and recommendations.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Possess a proven track record (2 to 3 years or more) of leading successful applications to grant makers and charitable trusts.
• Have experience in corporate fundraising and donor stewardship.
• Have experience of a broad variety of business/ fundraising opportunities relevant to the charitable sector.
• Have proven experience of developing and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders to deliver tangible results.

Other Duties

• To attend appropriate training sessions and meetings, as required.
• To contribute to monitoring and audit procedures to assess and review the effectiveness of all services and the benefits to clients.
• To actively promote Headway Black Country, the services provided by the organisation, its mission statement, aims and objectives.

This is a dual role, leading on the development of high-quality grant and commercial tender submissions to institutional and major partner donors, and line managing three bid leads. You will actively take part in the diversification of donor income and lead on successful bid development. 

You will have demonstrable ability to develop high quality proposals and/or tenders for institutional and/ or major partner donors, working remotely with multiple countries and partners within tight time frames. You will have proven programme development experience, ideally with a strong technical background in at least one of our priority themes: education, child protection, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), climate, environment and resilience (CER), and youth economic empowerment (YEE).  You will also have experience managing others, with the ability to motivate, coach and support the learning and development of a team to ensure that the team works effectively together, and team targets are achieved.

Their policy work will be rooted in structured research, drawing out themes across transport modes and disability types to tell a clear story about what changes would make the biggest difference to disabled people.

You will lead on the charity’s responses to high-profile Government consultations, and where there is alignment you may engage with external partners for mutual benefit. • Commissioning research specifically geared towards supporting development of robust policy positions.
• Using insights to develop a structured evidence bank and developing policy-relevant themes across key areas.

• Experience commissioning robust qualitative and quantitative research.

• Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders in Government, industry, and other charities and foundations.

This is a new role at CoppaFeel! as we grow and develop our finance team. As the Senior Finance Manager, you will have responsibility for overseeing CoppaFeel!’s finances . The Senior Finance Manager will be a key role in providing support and analysis to help decision-making for Leadership team.

Strategic (15%)

• Support on the annual Budgeting and quarterly Forecasting process 
• Support with long term financial plans 

Reports (15%)

• Preparation of budget holder monthly reports and other internal financial reports

Stakeholder Management (20%)

• Support Auditors with audit information 
• Line manage finance assistant/intern

Finance processing (50%)

• Trial balance reconciliation and month end journals
• Manage and maintain appropriate financial policies and financial controls mitigating financial risk and implementing best practice.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Part qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
• Strong relationship building and communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of people within the organisation. 
• Have good working knowledge of reporting requirements and UK charity regulations experience including SORP
