We are now looking for a Network Manager to join us in the North East.
FUNCTION: Delivering our successful mentoring programmes in Tyne & Wear, Tees Valley and across the wider NE area.
WHERE THE ROLE FITS: Reporting to: North Senior Network Manager
SALARY: £27,825 per annum
CONTRACT: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months with possibility of extension
HOURS: 5 days per week, 37.5 hours (with some evening work)
LOCATION: Home based with weekly travel to schools and partners across the NE region. (Access to own vehicle required)
WHAT WE DO
Young people from lower income families are 40% less likely to go to University than wealthier peers (Dept for Education, 2020) which can have a lifelong impact on earning potential. Covid-19 has deepened inequalities (Social Mobility Foundation, 2022) and negatively impacted on young people's wellbeing (GirlGuiding, 2020). We believe that no girls should have their futures limited by their gender, sex, ethnicity, background, or parental income and they should be supported to realise their ambitions, to discover their self-worth, and to develop their capacity to shape their world and their futures.
We work in communities of least advantage across England to deliver two core programmes to achieve this vision. Through our mentoring programme we connect 14-19 year old girls with a mentor and a wider network of role models who are women and deliver opportunities which help them to build life skills and nurture their ambitions. Based on the idea that 'you can't be what you can't see', our mentors often help girls to broaden their horizons and create a more positive vision of their futures. After the programme, the mentees can join a free, lifelong network of support - our Ambassador Community, which offers further opportunities to reach their goals, build their confidence and to share their voices and experiences.
Our programmes help girls and young women to develop the knowledge, skills, self-belief and opportunities to thrive, and to be supported as part of a network that champions them and ensures their voices are heard.
THE ROLE
This is an exciting role joining a Programme Team of 15 staff based throughout the UK. There is a small team of 3 based in the North East. You will work closely and collaborate with the other Network Managers and share some priorities across the region, working to develop the region as a whole. This is a role reliant on good relationships. 70-80% of the role is about relationship building (with schools, mentors and partners), coordination and the tracking/ administration of those relationships. Only 15-20% of the role is direct delivery with the girls in the region.
Mentoring programme
- Manage overall success of the cohorts (groups of mentees and mentors) in your region, including coordinating and administering events and communications for cohorts in your area.
- Deliver engaging on-boarding sessions for mentees
- Design and deliver events and workshops for mentees
- Deliver matching of mentees and mentors at in-person events or virtually
- Work with the wider programme team to train mentors
- Support mentors once matched through regular check-ins, monthly emails and ad-hoc conversations
- Collect data to track the progress, and impact of, mentoring relationships
- Support mentors with safeguarding concerns, following The Girls’ Network process in line with our child protection policy
- Develop effective relationships with schools, on-boarding, supporting and retaining the partnerships
Partnerships
- Work with the Senior Network Manager in your area to identify professional partnerships and sponsorship with local and national businesses

Purpose of the role

The ShelterBox Content Manager will be passionate about storytelling. They will have a deep understanding of our supporters and what motivates them and will be responsible for delivering an audience focused annual content plan. The purpose of the Global Brand and Content team is to help establish ShelterBox as an international household name with a proposition built on trust, understanding and affection. Engaging storytelling sits at the heart of our organisation and drives activity across multiple teams. Who are we looking for?
The Content Manager will plan and oversee the production and delivery of high-quality, response-based multimedia storytelling. They will drive our content gathering activity across all our live responses and capitalise in times of rapid onset disasters. As well as be responsible for delivering an annual content plan that supports the needs of our fundraising and communications output in the UK and around the world. Understanding how the audiences in different countries / teams may be similar or different is key. Developing creative attuned to this audience understanding is vital as is the ability to scan for storytelling opportunities for key themes or evergreen ‘always on’ content needs.
This role will also be responsible for sharing content, managing Asset Bank, and promoting the latest available content internally with team leads as well as making story suggestions for campaign ideas or fundraising products / events.
Creation of, and delivery against, an annual content strategy will be your main responsibility so you should be able to plan, juggle multiple tasks and understand your audience. It's vital that you work to understand our audiences and their needs, to design and deliver a program of activity that serves the right kind of stories, at the right time, in the right way.
You will need to set clear objectives and prioritise workload for your team and yourself and measure results. Ensuring the flow of quality content in the form of case studies, information and insights, film and photography are crucial in allowing us to take the ShelterBox story to new audiences, creating fertile soil for fundraising asks to flourish.

- Oversee the gathering, managing, and sharing of great written, photographical and film content (briefing, creating, and editing)

Post Summary
Free Tibet is a small but effective campaign organisation based in south London. We’re looking for a Fundraising Manager who can transform our routine fundraising and lead expert strategies for income generation. This role is best suited to an experienced fundraiser who is confident in managing multiple streams of income and a small team. We welcome applications from candidates with diverse professional backgrounds, but you need to have worked in a fundraising management role before.
We are currently implementing a pay grading system at Free Tibet, offering increases with each year of service. The salary for this position starts at up to £45,000 based on the successful candidate’s experience.
Location
Our main office is in Brixton, south London. We encourage applications from candidates across the UK and are willing to discuss hybrid working, but ideally the successful candidate would be able to travel to the office at least one day per week. Some evening availability is also required for quarterly board meetings, which are carried out online. Oversee all income-generation activity across Free Tibet and Tibet Watch. Ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams. Current streams include postal appeals, online appeals, and the Free Tibet online shop.

Manage applications for grant funding on behalf of both Free Tibet and Tibet Watch, working with the Fundraising Officer to build a strong portfolio of five and six-figure grants and steward them for renewal.

Job Summary
CAAS provide an ADHD and Autism Support Service for the 8 boroughs of NW London, from our base in Eastcote, with a team of Support Workers. Our work includes offering information, advice, and support to ADHD / autistic people, their families, and professionals in NW London, with the aim of improving quality of life and developing neurodiverse-aware communities. Some of the support is offered through one2one meetings, some of the support is provided through groups and courses which aim to increase understanding and awareness, and provide opportunities for peer support, and some of the support is offered through training and workshops to educate professionals and drive for accommodations to be made to services to allow greater access for our client group.
As Finance Manager you will report to and work closely with the Finance Director and have responsibility for the operational delivery of the finance, resource, monitoring, HR and contracting work streams within the charity. The role sits within the management group at CAAS, alongside the Youth, Adult and Family Service managers and the Client Programmes Director and manages the Finance and Monitoring Assistant and the Office Assistant.
The Finance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the infrastructure and operational delivery at the charity are effective for the more than 30 staff we employ, and the more than 11,000 instances of support we provide each year. Therefore, we are looking for a capable, calm, self-motivated, organised and hard-working accountant who is looking to move into a senior finance role, from any commercial, statutory or charitable background.
The role requires strong organisation skills, excellent communication skills, experience of management accounting and reporting, and an understanding of HR and payroll operations. You will ideally have some line management or project management experience to draw on in this role. Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Management and Reporting
· Prepare accurate, timely and well controlled and documented monthly and quarterly accounts. Share the outcomes of your reviews with the Finance Director, and ensure the accounts are reported in an meaningful way.
· Support in the preparation of Trustee reporting
· Support in the preparation and audit of the annual statutory accounts.
· Support with the annual budget and periodic reforecast processes to ensure the timely and appropriate provision of information to facilitate necessary adjustments to operational activity and appropriate decision making around cash investments.
· Ensure processes and procedures are carried out on a timely and effective basis to ensure financial policies and procedures are adhered to, and any control weaknesses mitigated and improvement plans in place
· Maintain records to ensure accurate restricted and unrestricted fund allocation.
· Be accountable for operating effective controls and oversight regarding contracts with freelancers, volunteers or other suppliers
· Deliver all day-to-day finance and cash management operations, scheduling, tracking and fulfilling invoices and payments, providing accurate bookkeeping, approving payment runs and reconciled balance sheets, detailed records re credit card and other payment platforms, and generally work to use and improve the financial systems in place to ensure the charity’s overall stability and sustainability.
· Review and update funder schedule allocations, ensuring invoices raised on time and costs allocated correctly.
· Review and approve Customer and Supplier invoices, review of month end information from finance team. Creation and posting of month end journals, reviewing the month end accounts to budget and analysing any discrepancies.
· Supporting the Finance Director and CEO on adhoc reports or analysis
· As a member of the management group participate in cross team working meetings and management meetings, and build relationships with the other members of the management group such that you become an integral support resource to them as they deliver for our clients.
Resource & IT Management
· Hold responsibility for arranging and maintaining the charity IT and phone hardware and software
· Act as first line IT support for charity staff
· Hold the relationship with the external IT provider and liaise to ensure appropriate on and off boarding and security arrangements.
· Manage our internal personnel and H&S support programmes, such as our EAP provider, our training providers and our office maintenance systems.
· Maintain the charity asset register, and complete the necessary operational tasks to ensure the charity is appropriately resourced to provide effective infrastructure backdrop for our staff.
Monitoring Management, Reporting and Impact Evaluation
· Carry out the necessary regular reviews and support so that our CRM records are complete and accurate in respect of work performed, and prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly and annual monitoring reports internally.
· Prepare monitoring reports for funders on quarterly basis as and when required
· Ensure best practice in monitoring collection and evaluation, including managing GDPR processes, creating appropriate forms, and communicating deadlines and requirements to all staff.
· Operate as the internal first line of support for our CRM system and consequent monitoring reporting tools, to ensure they are accurate, regularly reviewed and procedures documented and continuously improved.
· Prepare impact and distance travelled statistics for our external communications, to support our fundraising efforts.
HR and Payroll Operations
· Deliver on the necessary onboarding and offboarding processes for staff, including complying with on our safer recruitment requirements, creating contracts and contract variation letters, supporting staff with timesheets and other records of work, carrying out pension operations and supporting with interview arrangements.
· Carry out the delivery of the monthly payroll process, including preparation and review of the payroll files, carrying out calculations around overtime pay etc, providing an accurate and well controlled process, and enabling payments to be made on the pay date each month. MISSION OBJECTIVE
The Climate Action Manager sits within the International Programmes team and is primarily responsible for updating and managing the delivery of Bonsucro’s Climate Action Roadmap – a key area of engagement in Bonsucro’s strategy.
This role will take a day-to-day thematic lead for Bonsucro on all areas of climate action (both adaptation and mitigation) helping Bonsucro understand and respond to this important driver of sustainability initiatives in the sugarcane sector worldwide and enhancing the value proposition that we offer to our members in this regard.
This is a key role that will keep Bonsucro abreast of what is priority in the climate space, funding opportunities and methodologies/frameworks, to ensure proper incorporation into everything that Bonsucro does – from certification to impact projects and value proposition to members.
The CAM will also create new tools, trainings and other support materials focused on Bonsucro members to allow them to develop their climate adaptation and mitigation plans, in line with the Bonsucro Production Standard’s requirements and expectations from the market.
PURPOSE
· Identifies and monitors Bonsucro’s areas of competitive advantage in the area of climate action.
· Develops and articulates Bonsucro’s policy position and value proposition on key areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation.
· Revises and tailors the key work streams, strategic and tactical targets within the Bonsucro Climate Action Roadmap in line with the evolving climate space.
· Acts as the central leader of Bonsucro’s Climate Action Roadmap, its implementation, management, progress report and communications, as well as benchmarkings with the market and other organizations, seeking the roadmap’s continuous improvement.
· Acts as Project Manager for the implementation of the Climate Action Toolkit Project (CATP) supported, in part, with funding from ISEAL Innovations Fund.
Helps develop calls for proposals for the Bonsucro Impact Fund which address priority areas of the Climate Action Roadmap and keeps abreast with developments in the sugarcane sector to inform future impact projects.
ENGAGEMENT
· Engages with relevant staff to ensure that the Climate Action Roadmap and Climate Action Toolkit project are implemented and communicated in line with expectations, teams’ plans and budgets.

Engages with internal staff to ensure that the latest climate science is well incorporated into Bonsucro’s certification system and that members are well equipped to implement the market expectations around climate action.

A bit about the role
Action for Children aims to deliver growth from our high value audiences, with the Trusts team playing a vital role in achieving that ambition, working together with the Philanthropy, Corporate, Events and High Value Operations teams.
As Trusts Manager you'll manage and drive forward activity to secure significant, multi-year donations from trusts, foundations and statutory funders to support a wide range of organisational priority projects and services. You will also be responsible for the development of a pipeline to maximise key areas of growth up to seven figure income.

How you'll help to create brighter futures
Some key responsibilities for the Trusts Manager role include:
- Working collaboratively to implement activities to deliver an annual team target of a seven-figure sum, with a focus on securing donations of six figure donations and upwards from charitable trusts, foundations and statutory funders.
- Line managing staff utilising Action for Children policies and procedures to drive performance, including setting and monitoring individual and team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), taking ultimate responsibility for the delivery of income targets.
- Initiating and developing complex, multi-year partnerships between trusts and foundations and Action for Children to deliver challenging income targets, regularly preparing briefings for members of the senior leadership team.
- Developing and implementing individual solicitation and stewardship plans for a portfolio of existing trusts and new prospects, to include charitable foundations, in the UK and internationally, through the development and implementation of a communication and stewardship programme.
- Collaborating with fundraising colleagues to track and report on prospect management activities, remaining supporter-focused and maximizing opportunities to enrich and develop supporter journeys.
- Identifying and securing a range of budget relieving Gift in Kind and Pro Bono opportunities ensuring that brand exposure from such activities is commensurate to the value of the gift.
Let's talk about you
- Relevant experience of trust fundraising with an excellent track record of initiating new relationships and securing five and six figure gifts.
- Experience of managing relationships to introduce Trusts and Foundations at the highest levels.
- Experience of leading, inspiring and line managing fundraisers to achieve against specific financial goals.
- The ability to manage a complex pool of prospects and funders, devising clear donor solicitation plans with the aim of securing long term financial support.
- A professional and enterprising solutions-focused approach to making effective decisions, applying critical thinking to weigh up risks and challenges to drive, develop and implement new ideas, systems.

About the role:
Victim Support have been successful in securing funding for the delivery of Drive. Drive is an innovative national framework that aims to improve the lives and safety of victims and children affected by domestic abuse by holding high-risk perpetrators to account. This involves the identification and targeting of high risk/high harm perpetrators and combines case management with a co-ordinated multi-agency response.
We are looking for a case manager who will work with approximately 31 perpetrators per year. This role is based from our Blackpool Office, delivering a service that covers Blackpool, Wyre, Fylde, Lancaster and surrounding areas therefore you will need to hold a full driving license and have access to a car. You will be eligible to apply for Hybrid working (2 days per week from home) after successful completion of your probation. As a Drive Case Manager, you will be:
- Providing intensive case management on a one to one basis with perpetrators whose victims have been identified as high risk at MARAC to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services.
- Working collabertively with existing agencies to design a co-ordinated, strategic individual intervention plan to address identified needs and risks and promote understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours. Throughout the intervention the Case Manager will work closely with the IDVA service to review risk, develop safety plans and improve outcomes for all parties involved.
You will need: -
- An understanding of domestic abuse, risk assessment and risk management including experience of working with victims and/or perpetrators of domestic abuse, those with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.
- The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and develop multi-agency responses to support and/or disrupt perpetrators in order to reduce the harm they pose to victims.
- The ability to appropriately challenge service users and other agencies in order to achieve positive outcomes and reduce the risks posed to victims
- To be flexible, adaptable and highly resilient.

The Fundraising Manager role directly contributes to its success by building amazing relationships with globally based high-net-worth donors and corporates to secure financial support for their work across South Asia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage invaluable relationships with a small pool of existing major donors and corporate supporters through tailored stewardship and communication plans.
- Support the delivery of a long-term philanthropy strategy and annual operational plan to maximise income from major donors and corporate partners.

We’re looking for the following skills and experience:
- An ability to build and drive philanthropic programmes, with an outstanding track record of soliciting and securing significant gifts from high-net worth individuals, ideally at a 6-figure level.
- A strong track record of creating and driving high-value stewardship and communications plans.
- Experience building long term, philanthropic partnerships with both current and prospective high net worth individuals and corporates.
- Experience working with senior colleagues to grow networks, income and identify opportunities
- Experience proactively developing new major donor and corporate fundraising initiatives, including giving circles and fundraising boards.
- Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate complex information at the highest level.
- An in-depth understanding of the expectations of high-net-worth individuals, including time management, meticulous attention to detail and the production of high quality, creative and compelling materials.
