The role of a Step Down Worker is to provide ongoing support to IDVA clients where the risk has been reduced to a safer level or where a client is referred into the service as medium/standard risk.. The post holder will provide ongoing support which is bespoke according to need and will work in a trauma informed way providing holistic support to aid client's recovery from abuse. This post will be part of the male IDVA team and will work collaboratively with the IDVAs to manage case loads.

What you'll do:
- Provide ongoing support with a range of client needs including but not limited to attendance at court hearings, mental health, substance issues, and housing support.
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system. Understanding of Marac protocols.
- Support clients to obtain orders where needed and any other civil remedies available to them.
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.
- Attending all court and Case Management hearings with clients
- Carry out administration tasks in line with the role as directed.
- Supporting clients to set personalised goals in the form of a Safety and Support Plan.
- Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents.
- Managing any ongoing risks and creating safety plans when required.
- Raising concerns of any increase in risk levels to senior IDVAs.
- Attend case management session with IDVA Team Leader
- Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes.
- Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the
health and safety of yourself and colleagues.
- Encouraging clients to attend relevant programmes when appropriate.
- Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to

The Role
In this period of a new government, we have an ambitious programme of events planned under our Political Leadership theme and we are recruiting an events assistant to join us for one year to support the additional work anticipated, as well as assist on Green Alliance’s other core events. This work will significantly involve varied activity under our new one year training programme for the environment sector, Project Boost, which includes retreats, workshops and panel discussions.

Position in the organisation
This role is part of Green Alliance’s communications team. The communications team includes the head of communications, events and engagement manager, the senior press officer, and the communications officer. The events assistant will report to the events and engagement manager and work closely with the politics team.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Event assistance
− Help with logistics and administration in advance of events, including badge making, researching venues, invitation tracking and document circulation.
− Assist in gathering and compiling details for speaker briefings.
− Organise important logistics such as organising event materials, printing and travel.
− Assist onsite at events, for example with registration, venue liaison and managing Q&A mics.
Contact management assistance
− Assist with uploading attendee information to the database.
− Assist with database management, keeping contact lists regularly updated.
Other
− Participate in all-staff planning and training sessions.
− Any task which may be reasonably requested to be undertaken within the scope of this post.

About the role
The finance assistant reports to the Finance and Support Services Manager. The post-holder will provide administrative support, budgeting and reporting and information management to the finance team.

As Database Assistant you will play a crucial role in helping us reach our fundraising targets and delivered excellent supporter experience through your support of the charity’s CRM system, Salesforce. You will have experience or a theoretical understanding of working with data and a CRM system. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, has an excellent eye for detail, enjoys balancing multiple priorities, and most importantly, loves working with colleagues to deliver exceptional supporter experience and continuous improvements. You will have the ability to shape vital processes within a rapidly growing organisation that is putting data at the centre of its operations.
This role will be known internally as *Database Executive.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Provide 1st Line support for requests received into the team’s ticketing system, triaging all incoming tickets and either resolving, providing self-help guides, or escalating as appropriate.
· Analyse support tickets to identify recurring themes which may suggest changes to Salesforce are required, additional training is necessary, or changes to processes are required.
· Act as our document custodian, ensuring our documentation is always up-to-date and relevant for its purpose and checking in with document owners when a review is needed.
· Create new documents such as ‘How To’ guides to a high standard which are straightforward using non-technical language.
· Establish relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and help them resolve data issues and requests.
· Assist the Database Manager, and Database Officers in improving business processes for the successful and efficient management of supporter data.
· Work with the Database Officers to perform simple ad-hoc imports of data into Salesforce that cannot be processed by automated means.
· Import data using our tool Clarity Data Transform (CDT) and to see errors through to completion by either resolving the problem or escalating where appropriate.
· Support the Database Officers in delivering an ongoing training programme to all employees.
· Other data management tasks from time to time as identified by the Database Manager
What we are looking for:
· Experience of working with data sets, either in a CRM system or Excel-based system.
· Proven ability to work to a high standard and with an excellent eye for detail.
· Experience of providing customer service to customers or users of a system

· The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people in a supportive and easy to understand way.

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

About the role:
Working within a passionate team providing an effective, high quality support service to address the presenting needs of clients with complex needs in relation to poly substance misuse, mental health, and a wide variety of associated issues (including: street activity, offending, physical health, background of complex trauma.)
The primary role of the project is to enable clients to understand their emotional and mental health needs and manage these effectively. Project workers will also support clients to develop their living skills, develop & manage relationships, build social networks and access education, training or employment, by completing comprehensive needs and risk assessments with clients and identifying short-term objectives.
Project workers will need to be resilient, innovative, flexible and creative. A commitment to working collaboratively and within a recovery framework. There will be an element of housing management work with the expectation that clients manage a successful tenancy before moving on to more independent housing.
The Project Worker role be required to work a rota inclusive of early, lates weekends, on average one weekend in four.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children’s Hospital a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital for the 450,000 patients and families we care for every year.
The charity helps to fund a range of activities and projects that are designed to enhance and improve the lives of our amazing young patients. This includes the funding of specialist medical equipment to ensure our brilliant surgeons and clinical staff have the most up to date and cutting edge technology available and funding hi-tech distraction equipment designed and proven to reduce pain and anxiety in our patients. We also fund a range of programmes and special projects such as our ward musicians, our on-site magician and the play specialists we have on every ward.
We have recently closed our Surgical Neonatal Appeal, having successfully raised our £3m target towards a brand new, state of the art Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the hospital. This year we will be fundraising towards a new Same Day Emergency Care Centre, providing an unrivalled experience for our patients and their families.
Job Purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Community Fundraising Team.
This role calls for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised person who shares our values. The role will play a vital part in supporting the day-to-day activity of the Community Fundraising Team in undertaking a wide variety of fundraising activities.
Key responsibilities:
· Support the Community Fundraising Team with the administration of bespoke, third party and donor led events. Including (but not limited to) sending packs and resources out, communication of event information and appropriate thanking.
· Manage the Community Fundraising email inbox.
· Diarise Community Fundraising team meetings, take appropriate minutes and distribute actions.
· Manage the Community Fundraising shared drive and filing system.
· Work with the Community Fundraiser to identify potential Young Ambassadors and create Ambassador Packs.
· Manage the stock control of Community Event Resources.
· Audit and monitor the Charity collection boxes.
· Manage community contacts within the Charity CRM (Salesforce) ensuring they have up to date information.
· Be the first point of contact for on-line giving donors and monitor the online giving platforms including JustGiving and ensure that each donor has relevant communications.
· Manage the donor led event diary, providing appropriate resources where required.
· Produce regular financial and fundraising reports on various Community Fundraising Income streams using the Charity CRM (Salesforce)
· Monitor Community Fundraising income and check it’s appropriately coded on Salesforce.
· Ensure that relevant members of the Community Fundraising Team are aware of on-line fundraising activity.
· Work alongside the Operations and Finance Teams to monitor income.
· Attendance at community fundraising events.
· Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.
· Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.
· Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Charity’s work, priorities and future plans and act as a spokesperson for the Charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate.

Next steps will be agreed before the 31st March 2025, based on an assessment of the trial period; the four-day working week trial may be ended, extended or adopted permanently.

This role will support the administrative and operational functions within our offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, together with our coffee shops and Village, whilst being the first point of contact for inbound enquiries.
We are looking for a well organised individual, with good problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude to become part of our friendly team and are keen to learn and develop.
What you’ll be doing:
· Ensuring our offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow are fit for purpose, providing an environment that is welcoming to both staff and external visitors.
· Managing and responding to inbound email and telephone enquiries.
· Manging shop related customer orders, inbound enquiries and invoicing.
· Supporting elements of finance administration, especially during holiday periods.
