About the role
You will be the first point of contact for the organisation, supporters, potential supporters and people seeking information about Shelter’s work. You will provide information on our work and housing/homelessness to supporters and members of the public, act on supporter requests and take part in fundraising administration. Maintaining accurate supporter records, liaising with other departments when necessary and handle any complaints about services and fundraising activity will also be key parts of the role.
About you
With excellent communication and administration skills, gained working in a customer service environment, you will have experience of analysing statistics and spotting trends, along with the ability to assess database requirements. Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, email and the internet and a strong attention to detail and accuracy are also required. An understanding of how the Helpdesk service impacts on the Shelter brand will also be important.

The Supporter Helpdesk is made up of four people, a Team Leader and three Officers. We are based in Sheffield along with Shelter’s national housing advice helpline. While the team doesn’t provide housing advice we respond to a wide variety of enquiries about Shelter and its work including sign posting to our service where needed.

About The Role
We are looking for a team-orientated, highly organised Grants Executive to join our successful Grants team at an exciting time for WWT.
The Grants Team make a major contribution to raising critical funding for high-impact and innovative conservation, education and community-focussed programmes in the UK and internationally, raising in excess of £3M p/a.
This post complements an existing Grants Executive position as we look to grow our unrestricted income. As Grants Executive you will diversify and grow our portfolio of unrestricted grants funder relationships, as well as provide support to a busy and deadline-driven team.

The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs. You will offer support to your clients in a variety of ways, whether in the client's own home, or at other locations in the community, face to face, by phone, letter, or email. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals.
Your role as a Dementia Adviser will include:
- Supporting people affected by dementia, families and carers to access vital services. This can be done by providing individual support to running groups and providing to information.
- Receiving referrals into the CrISP service, organise sessions and deliver programmes
- Improving people’s sense of well-being, enabling them to have more control over their lives.
- Assisting with the identification of needs, providing information and access to relevant services.
- Promoting our local and national services and building relationships with a range of health and social care professionals.
- We work well with our partners in the area and as a Dementia Adviser you will build a supportive and meaningful relationships with all those working to empower those impacted by Dementia.
About you
- Ability and interest in supporting people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives.
- Understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers would be an advantage but if you have had experience supporting with other diagnosis or support requirements this would be taken into consideration.
- Experience with communicating with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding at all levels.
- Able to network effectively and collaborating with other professionals to achieve a positive outcome for people.
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic team of colleagues and partners in a creative and innovative way.

The Role
In this role you will provide supervision and support to the Sibling Support Workers and manage the day to day running of the Sibling Service. Key responsibilities include providing supervision and support to the sibling workers and managing the day to day delivery of the sibling service. In addition, ensuring safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, meeting the specific needs of the brothers and sisters of children using the hospice, providing activities and opportunities for play to ensure their stay is a positive experience and together with the Care Team, providing emotional support, including bereavement care when needed.

A relevant play or youth work qualification and previous experience of working with children in providing play and recreational activities is essential. A flexible approach to working days and activities is essential to support the hospice and changeable needs of the families. Their care team work rotating shifts, which will include bank holidays, and weekend shifts.

In this rewarding role, you’ll work alongside psychologists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to provide person centered, therapeutic support that empowers individuals on their journey to recovery. You’ll play a key role in promoting harm reduction strategies, fostering resilience, and helping residents rebuild their lives in a supportive and psychologically informed environment.
Penrose Lewisham ICRS: The Service which runs 24 hours a day. It provides specialist enhanced rehabilitation support to adults typically aged between 18 and 65 who are diagnoses with severe and enduring mental health needs, who would benefit from an intensive rehabilitation and recovery-focused approach. The service operates across two properties in Lewisham, one with eight self-contained rooms and the other with six, both within close proximity to each other. Each site is staffed 24/7 by a minimum of two Mental Health Recovery Workers (MHRWs), including Shift Leads to support the Management Team.
Shift Pattern: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours vary on rota 09:00 - 17:00 face to face in service.
Salary: £18,900
What are we looking for from a Substance Misuse/ Dual Diagnosis Worker?
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of working with people of complex backgrounds. Ideally ex-offenders, those with enduring mental health, substance misuse and challenging behaviours
- Experience of assessing needs and strengths, and supporting people with dual diagnosis and complex needs
- IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software
- Previous experience in a similar role, providing holistic assessments and support for people experiencing mental illness who use substances

About the Role
The Refugee and Migrant Centre is looking for a committed and detail-oriented Housing Officer to join our Resettlement Department. This role is crucial in ensuring that refugees and migrants have access to safe, suitable, and sustainable housing as they rebuild their lives in the UK.
RMC is a well-established charity providing essential support to refugees, migrants, and vulnerable individuals. Our services range from legal advice to welfare support, and we are dedicated to empowering people to achieve stability and independence.
Purpose of the Role
The Housing Officer will play a key role in supporting individuals and families to secure and maintain appropriate accommodation. The successful candidate will liaise with sponsors, landlords, local authorities, and support agencies to ensure clients receive the necessary assistance with housing-related matters.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Housing Support & Client Assistance:
- Complete initial property checks required for HFU applications at sponsors homes
- Ensure EPC and gas safety certificates are up to date in sponsored accommodation
- Support HFU clients with Move on Fund applications and complete an initial assessment based on eligibility criteria with the support of the HFU administrator
- Assist clients in securing safe and appropriate housing, including private rentals and social housing.
- Provide advice on tenancy agreements, rights and responsibilities, and housing-related benefits.
- Support individuals experiencing housing difficulties, including overcrowding, homelessness, or unsuitable living conditions.

The Project
GPIMHS is an emotional and wellbeing service that supports adults aged over 18 in primary care who are experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. Through sharing wisdom from their own experiences, the Lived Experience Practitioner will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others. As an integral and highly valued member of the team, the Lived Experience Practitioner will provide formalised peer support and practical assistance to people using the service in order for them to regain control over their lives and their own unique recovery journey.
In particular, the Lived Experience Practitioner will support the smooth transition of people using the service to other Mental Health services, by helping them to complete recovery and crisis plans for example. As a STEPS Rough Sleeper Navigator, you will be responsible for implementing a range of interventions and support measures as part of an integrated package of health, therapeutic and social support under the direction of the STEPS Team Leader. STEPS is part of the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) coalition, which helps local areas design and deliver better coordinated services for people experiencing multiple disadvantage.
You will undertake a creative and intensive outreach approach to engage rough sleepers and utilise a broad range of highly developed specialist skills, alongside a high level of professional autonomy. The post holder will have the ability to adapt to shifting demands and priorities and lead on named areas of work related to the development of the Hackney and City Initiative.
You will be a big part of a small team, where everyone takes a flexible and collaborative approach to work and is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable and marginalised groups. Like STEPS, you will be passionate about changing entrenched social issues and will respond by ‘doing things differently’. You will play an integral part of a team where everyone takes an energetic, flexible and collaborative approach to their work and may be required to contribute to other programmes and work areas across the Public Health Team.

Home Energy Advisor - Green Doctor

Location: Kent, Hybrid Working (On site at Gravesend Office/Remote working delivering home visits at a minimum of 3 days per week and outreach when required)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract – March 2026 (with possibility to extend further)
Salary: £25,500 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Summary of role: Our Green Doctors deliver home visits and telephone consultations across Kent and Medway. Consultations are a mix of advice, installation of small practical energy-saving measures such as low energy light bulbs and draft proofing and referring on to other health and wellbeing services. We aim to promote healthy heating habits, reduce our clients’ energy bills and save them money in a variety of ways that support those with low-income, high-energy costs, and energy inefficient homes.
You will be a practical, people-person with a passion for helping vulnerable people.
Experience in energy efficiency to provide tailored energy saving advice is desirable, and the ability to adapt your approach to suit our client’s varied needs will be essential. Although we approach projects and their targets as a team, you must be comfortable regularly lone working and in managing your own workload.
A qualification as Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA), NVQ Level 3 (6049-03) Provide Energy Efficiency Services, or City and Guilds Energy Awareness (6281-01) is desirable, but relevant experience within the field or a willingness to take the qualification will be considered. (20 paid study hours).
A full clean driving license is required. This is an in-person role with regular travel to clients’ homes. Any applicants should therefore be within reasonable travel distance of Maidstone, Gravesend, Medway and Thanet. You may be required to travel on Groundwork’s business to carry out your duties at other locations as may be required for the proper performance of your duties.
