This is an exciting time for the Philanthropy and Partnerships team as we develop a rich and evolving portfolio of strategic projects that will appeal to a wide range of funders. As the Trusts and Statutory Officer, you'll play a crucial role in driving fundraising for our new strategic focus on key priorities identified by people living with diabetes. You'll be responsible for bringing in income of circa £200,000 for the Trusts and Statutory team from a high-volume portfolio, with a view to increasing its value year on year.

Main Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the small trusts portfolio to maximise income generation (circa 200k), submitting bids under £20k and stewarding funders. You'll work closely with the Partnership Manager and the Prospect Research and Data Officer to identify funders and submit compelling proposals that accurately reflect both funder criteria and organisational funding priorities.
You'll work with colleagues across the charity to ensure grant conditions are met and deliver excellent stewardship practices.

Objectives of the Assignment
The primary objective of this assignment is to engage bid writers who will:

Scope of Work
The bid writers will be responsible for:

- Collaborating with internal teams to gather all necessary information for each proposal, including program details, budgets, and impact metrics.
- Assisting in the development of proposal budgets in accordance with donor requirements and BIF’s financial guidelines.
- Coordinating and managing the submission process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Providing follow-up communications with donors as needed to clarify details or provide additional information.
Deliverables

Requirements
The ideal candidate (individual or agency) should possess:
- Proven experience in writing successful grant applications and funding proposals for not-for-profits.
- Strong research skills, with the ability to identify suitable funding opportunities across different sectors.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a track record of creating compelling narratives tailored to funders' requirements.
- Knowledge of the healthcare, blindness prevention, or international development sectors is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and submissions simultaneously.
Duration of the Assignment
This will be an ongoing consultancy contract, subject to periodic performance reviews. The duration will initially be six (6) months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding outcomes.
Fee Structure
The daily rate is negotiable, based on the experience and qualifications of the bid writer. Additionally, there is the possibility of a commission or performance-based incentive for successfully securing large grants. This will be agreed upon in the contract negotiations.

As Global Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer, you will support PEAS country level MEL teams in fulfilling their learning objectives in relation to delivering our school improvement technical assistance programme to non-PEAS partner schools. Overview of the role:
Working in a small team, you will play an active role in the delivery of their External Affairs programme of work, primarily delivering secretariat duties for the APPG (All Party Parliamentary Group) on Deep Geothermal, as well as contributing to wider external affairs outputs.
Your core responsibilities will be to develop and deliver APPG Secretariat duties. You will ensure members and political stakeholders are kept informed, and that administrative requirements are met. You will be responsible for organising APPG meetings in Parliament and driving forward the APPG’s programme of work, liaising with multiple stakeholders across the public sector, industry, and academia. You will also monitor the public affairs landscape and deliver ongoing External Affairs programmes.
There will be opportunities to organise and attend Parliamentary and member events and to support meetings with parliamentarians and officers. Your work will include drafting briefings, minutes, press releases, and wider correspondence for members of the team, working across media relations, digital communications, stakeholder engagement, and crisis communications. You’ll undertake parliamentary monitoring to find and highlight debates and questions of relevance to members. You will also work closely with colleagues across other departments to ensure all external affairs messaging is aligned across the organisation.

In this new, impactful role, you will be responsible for mobilising and subsequently continuously improving a new network engagement and support function. The aim of the function is to significantly enhance the understanding the of needs, views and priorities of local Age UKs and the way in which the national organisation connects with, engages, and supports them.
Working collaboratively with local Age UKs and national teams, the Director of Network Engagement & Support will be responsible for developing and implementing a network engagement and support strategy. This will require collaborative working across a range of teams to ensure a coherent and coordinated approach. The Director of Network Engagement & Support will ensure the effective delivery and operation of several formal and informal network engagement activities, for example Chief Officer induction. Our Technical Knowledge team oversees Blue Ventures’ technical pillars (Secure Rights, Community-Based Fisheries Management, Food Security and Financial Inclusion) and supports the use of data for decision-making, providing tools, training, and guidance to partners and Blue Ventures’ staff around the world. This team integrates expertise and deep practical experience with pragmatism and a desire to enable others to deliver lasting change, by distilling global best practices and knowledge into usable tools, appropriate training, and responsive guidance and support. The team is also responsible for delivering peer learning exchanges and knowledge-sharing events both online and face-to-face across the organisation, in addition to overseeing technical publications.

Purpose of the Job:
This role is within our crisis alternative service – Safe Space - which is an out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. The service operates 365 days a year from 12:00pm(midday)-11:30pm across all of our boroughs. The shift pattern for this role is 4:30-11:30pm. This will be on a rota basis across support workers.
Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone on a one-to-one or group basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis. This will consist of 1:1 support; de-escalating and providing interventions, signposting for specialised or longer-term support, and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. - To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in HFEH.
- To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation, planned wellbeing activities etc.
