The Royal Court Theatre is looking to recruit a Development (Fundraising) Manager.
The Development Manager plays a central role in enabling the Development team to reach our ambitious fundraising target. They will work closely with the Director of Development, Development Officers, as well as with the Marketing and Communications team, Finance Team and Artistic and Literary Teams.
The role will be responsible for managing fundraising initiatives from a variety of sources, including from trusts and foundations, individuals and corporate partnerships. This includes managing key applications, proposals, campaigns and events to secure new income and steward existing relationships. Working closely with the Director of Development, they will lead on the development and implementation of strategy to grow income from a variety of sources as part of the Development team’s overall fundraising work.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience as a development professional with a track record in fundraising in a relevant environment, including demonstrable success in planning and securing income in a variety of contexts (e.g. from trusts and foundations, corporate partners and/or individuals).
- Excellent organisation and management skills to handle a busy workload, tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
- Experience planning and writing applications and/or pitches for funding across a wide range of contexts and funders/partners.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).

This is an exciting opportunity for someone working in the volunteering or community sector to join the Brent Irish Advisory Service (BIAS) as Volunteer Manager and help take our successful volunteer project to the next level.
BIAS’s volunteer project, funded through a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund, provides meaningful opportunities for people to get involved in BIAS’s work in a number of different ways. Volunteers can help out at our active ageing clubs, or work on administrative projects and other office-based tasks to help them build up their professional skills. In 2023 we also launched a successful ‘Be-A-Friend’ scheme, which aims to connect volunteers with older people who live on their own. Volunteers will drop in regularly for a cup of tea and a chat, providing friendship and companionship to those experiencing loneliness and isolation. BIAS’s volunteer project is currently based in Brent, but it will potentially be rolled out into Haringey in future years.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and empathetic person to take the lead on managing and growing our volunteer project. You will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including volunteer recruitment and induction, service-user relations, safeguarding and partnership development. You will also work with the Operations Manager on forward planning, delivery monitoring, promotion and reporting.
You will need to have strong people skills and the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, volunteers, service users and partners, along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and take initiative. Previous experience of working with volunteers or running community projects would be an asset. KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES
- Working with the Operations Manager to develop and deliver BIAS’s volunteer project.
- Line-managing the Befriending Coordinator and supervising the successful delivery and expansion of the Be-A-Friend scheme.
- Managing volunteer recruitment, interviewing candidates and matching them with appropriate roles.
- Supporting, developing and retaining our current team of volunteers.
- Managing volunteer training needs, ensuring that all necessary safeguarding, health-and-safety and data-protection requirements are met.
- Working closely with colleagues and external organisations to develop working partnerships and explore collaboration opportunities, e.g. intergenerational volunteering projects.
- Organising twice-yearly volunteer social events.
- Promoting and raising public awareness of both BIAS’s volunteering opportunities and the wider importance of volunteering.
- Evaluating and improving the volunteering process and experience.
- Maintaining clear records of volunteer work in BIAS’s client management system.
- Drafting reports and case studies to demonstrate the project’s progress and value.
- Maintaining an awareness of policy changes and best practices in volunteering.
These are the basic duties required of the Volunteer Manager. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. We will also offer training opportunities to support your career development.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. This role will be based primarily in our offices in Willesden (Brent), with travel throughout the borough and potentially some future outreach work in Haringey borough. There may be some options for flexible working following probation (one to two days per week).

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our Active Ageing Clubs and our Be-a-friend volunteer scheme. We raise over £1.5 million in extra income for the most vulnerable every year and have over 3000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has exciting plans for expansion into Haringey in 2025 and has a range of medium- to long-term grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

About the role
Coram is looking for an experienced Digital Content Manager (maternity cover) to support the marcomms team on websites, analytics, internal comms and other related digital marketing tasks. This is a fast-paced and varied role that involves working on a number of different websites across the Coram Group of charities and providing advice and support to other colleagues.
The role will involve anything from day to day management of existing websites to project managing larger scale rebrands, website moves and new website projects from start to finish. It will also include analysis of web traffic via Google Analytics, managing Coram’s internal comms channels and overseeing the relationship with Coram’s digital agency for Google/Microsoft Ads.

About you:
- Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within a membership organisation and agricultural supply chains.
- Proven relationship management, networking and business development skills, preferably within the sector, or agricultural supply chains.
- Approximately 5+ years experience in a Membership role, or in other relevant roles such as in Account management, Sales Account management or Corporate Relations.
- Strong understanding of the issues and dynamics in agricultural supply chains and membership organisations.
- Excellent presentation, listening and negotiation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with fluency in English required and proficiency in additional languages, such as German or Arabic, considered an asset.
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to private sector needs within a mission-based organisation.
- Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter, demonstrating a dynamic, driven mindset with strong lateral thinking skills to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Strong experience in event management and delivery, including planning, organising, and executing forums, conferences, and other high-profile events.
- Willingness and ability to travel both within the UK and internationally as required for the role.

About The Role
You will be joining a small but passionate team consisting of a Head of Corporate Partnerships, a Corporate Partnerships Manager and two Corporate Partnerships Officers. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship to increase engagement, value and longevity of support to deliver maximum potential for Place2Be.
- Lead on targeted new business approaches, developing a sector strategy to focus your time effectively, including identifying prospects, managing your pipeline and utilising the networks of the Development Board.
- Steward relationships with key decision-makers within our corporate partners demonstrating excellent communication skills and integrity, liaising with Directors, CSR Managers and executives to deliver partnership objectives.
- Create comprehensive partnership delivery plans including fundraising calendars, communications plans, KPIs and reporting schedules and partnership key messaging.
- Develop tailored and creative approaches, propositions, proposals and pitches for prospects.
- Accurately forecast and manage partner budgets to meet team income targets.
- Work with the Head of Corporate Partnerships to agree and deliver the team strategy and income targets, working to the wider team target as well as your own personal target.
- Line management of a Corporate Partnerships Officer, ensuring that their workload and portfolio is appropriately set, their development is progressing and that they are working to team targets and to individual objectives that are agreed with them.
- Work closely with the Communications team to ensure PR and media objectives relating to all aspects of corporate fundraising are met.
- Deliver strategic engagement opportunities for corporate partners, working closely with school-based support to do so. Actively look for ways to improve team processes and show initiative in leading changes to these.
What you will need:
- Demonstrable experience of working in a corporate partnership’s role or another fundraising role, or relevant experience/ transferable skills
- Good experience on managing a team and collaborating with different teams within the business.
- Experience of working towards and achieving ambitious financial targets and deadlines, or other non-financial targets and KPIs
- Experience of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of organising fundraising, volunteering and engagement events, or equivalent events
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Strong team player – effective relationship builder who is able to work effectively with diverse client groups and the team at Place2Be

The RSPB’s successful and dynamic Philanthropy Team are looking for an experienced Philanthropy Manager who will be responsible for building relationships with mid-level donors and increasing the number and value of their donations. This role requires an enthusiastic and hardworking team player who will have a strong focus on developing donor relationships, maximizing their contributions while offering an engaging stewardship journey.
This role will lead on generating gifts from mid-level donors - those giving between £500 - £5,000. The position is tasked with increasing the number and value of these donations via a strategic mid-level donor stewardship programme that will inspire and engage both new and existing contacts.
Key Result Areas:
- Income – deliver innovative methods to manage and develop relationships with donors giving at the mid-level.
