We have a brilliant new opportunity for an experienced and seasoned Assurance & Counter Fraud Manager join our new and growing team! You will be joining the Society at an exciting time – helping to strengthen the organisational capability in relation to risk management, assurance, and control, to match the growth and impact ambitions of the Society. This is a newly created role, with the ability to help shape and develop future initiatives and activities.
 
Working closely alongside audit, risk, and compliance colleagues, this role will provide assurance over our people, processes, data and technology, enhancing our effectiveness as an organisation.
 
Reporting to our Head of Internal Audit and Risk, you will work collaboratively, using your experience in assurance and counter fraud, to oversee the reporting of any fraudulent reported activity; determining the appropriate course of activity and liaising with necessary parties as required to provide an effective counter fraud response.
 
You'll be a confident and a trusted expert in this role as you will deputise for the Head of Internal Audit when required, providing independent assurance to the Board and Executive Leadership Team on the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance across the organisation. 
 
This is a homeworking role, but you may be required to travel to attend meetings, events and team-days, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel to our offices (London or Birmingham) if/when required.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the post holder will work across multiple income streams, to develop innovative products and tools to engage our supporters and maximise and grow our income generation strategy and lifetime value of our supporters. Strategy & Budget Management

● Work with the Head of Fundraising to deliver a strategy and Ops plan that covers Community, Events, Mass, and third-party Fundraising.
● Support the Fundraising Executive to project manage an existing portfolio of events and introduce new products to grow the programme, incorporating digital/virtual fundraising.
● Review the portfolio of events and build new income generation opportunities for 25/26 and beyond to uplift income and grow supporter participation.
● Set, monitor, and report against budget figures, feeding into forecasting and monthly KPIs, and reporting any concerns to the Head of Fundraising.
● Lead the development and growth strategy for third-party relationships and high-value community supporters.
● Undertake regular reviews of activity including ROI analysis, report progress v budget, and implement actions as required.
● Lead on Identifying new opportunities for community grant funding including but not limited to supermarkets, round tables, rotary, masons, golf clubs, sports clubs, and schools.
● To provide excellent analysis, evaluation, and reporting on fundraising activity to the Head of Fundraising, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for future activity.

General

• The ability to write and present compelling cases for support across a range of audiences.
• To keep up to date with the latest event trends and bring creative suggestions to the programme of work to continuously test and learn, engage new supporters and drive new income opportunities
• To work closely with Dream Team, to keep updated with Dream stories and use a range of methods, to effectively communicate these to all supporters

Pratham is one of the largest and most respected education charities in India. We developed a model that can teach a child to read and do basic maths in as little as 30 days for £14. We also have preschool, vocational and women's education programmes. Help build powerful and sustainable communities of peer support groups for kinship carers.

About the role:
Funded by the Department for Education, the National Peer Support Service is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.

This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form Peer Support Groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub.

You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers. You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment.

Who we are looking for: 

We are seeking an person who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:

• Develop new Peer Support Groups across a diverse range of communities
• Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to achieve key targets and objectives
• Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the development of safe and effective support services for the kinship community
• Maintain current Peer Support Group levels, taking the lead from the national Hub
• Maintain accurate records that are used to populate reports, identify learning and share key insights across Kinship that allow the organisation to continuously improve our services and products

You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey towards sustainability.

As a practical thinker, you will work creatively to identify stakeholders and assets in areas of high need. You will build local connections and bring together kinship carers across the region, empowering them to build resilient and robust peer support communities.

You will be confident in building relationships that generate referrals from external stakeholders and in contacting kinship carers directly to secure engagement with local coffee mornings, community, and training events that will help kick-start a thriving peer support group.

As you establish new groups, you will provide support and training to help them lead their groups effectively, and develop their group culture, resilience, and skills to function independently while offering reassurance and support to empower them.

We are ideally looking for candidates based close or within easy reach of our priority development areas which include; Reading, Oxfordshire, West Berkshire, Slough and Hampshire but also able to travel to other key locations across the South East and along the M4 corridor.

An essential requirement of the role is to be a driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Key responsibilities: 

Service delivery:

• In-person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local communities including setting up and attending local engagement events
• Set up and develop sustainable in person peer support groups, initially attending and leading sessions in person before transition to self-sufficiency
• Working with existing groups that are at risk, closed or need support that need replacing or rejuvenating to maintain DfE service level agreement, in addition to new groups. Targets are subject to change and are not fixed
• Recruit and retain support group leaders to develop their peer support groups
• Assist with the delivery of training to support group leaders and groups to become self-sufficient
• Develop strong boundaried and positive relationships with support group leaders – building resilience, empowerment and community
• Support established groups (including independent) in your area to access support group leader networks and training (this includes visiting groups in person) to build a peer community
• Follow (and where appropriate support further development off) the service blueprint to develop sustainable peer support groups
• Collaborate with the Peer Support Hub team to provide a joined-up and positive user experience for kinship carers
• Manage special interest groups and regional online groups as required, transitioning to ‘Hub’ team for sustainability and work with partners 

Service quality, development and data management:

• Accurately record all recruitment, contact information and volunteer case management in Salesforce in line with service framework and data protection requirements
• Ensure accurate data entry in Salesforce to support service performance, evaluation and learning
• Provide regular reports to ensure targets and SLA are met for the service
• Support continuous development and improvement of the service (new systems and processes) as required

Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Legacy Manager with demonstrated experience, preferably within the charity sector or comparable commercial environment. The role will involve primarily working from home and must be situated in or near London to attend regular in person meetings with key staff.

Key responsibilities

Take responsibility for a portfolio of around 300 legacy pledgers in order to deepen relationships and offer excellent stewardship to ensure that legacy pledgers feel valued by STUK and their pledge is retained.
Act as the first point of contact for legacy enquiries, both internal and external, responding with authority, sensitivity and diplomacy, so that legacy enquirers and intenders choose to leave STUK a gift in their Will.
Plan and deliver a programme of marketing and advertising to promote legacy giving and grow our pipeline of legacy supporters. This will include contributing to campaign strategy development; producing marketing materials including newsletters; and consulting with the Head of Individual Giving re legacy mailings.
Undertake general legacy communications including developing a tangible legacy vision, make phone calls, arrange one to one meetings and write personal notes/letters.
Organise at least 2 – 3 legacy events per year including post-event follow-up.
Organise legacy stewardship activities such as recognition mechanisms.
Liaise with and oversee the administrative work of Legacy Link, our legacy administrators.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all legacy activity on Salesforce and in shared files.
Provide useful data insight and analysis producing regular statistical, qualitative and financial reports of legacy activity.
Manage in memoriam marketing.

Travel

There is limited but regular travel into London for regular team meetings as well as periodic travel as needed around the UK for meetings with legacy pledgers and to organise legacy events.

Required Education and Experience

5+ years of relevant experience with exposure to legacy marketing and liaison with legacy enquirers, considerers and pledgers preferred.
A proven history of generating significant growth in key legacy metrics such as numbers of legacy enquirers and pledgers.
Demonstrated success in developing substantive donor relationships and in supporting senior management and programme staff, to execute donor and engagement strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with both management and donors.
Extremely detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.
Able to take ownership of a process and to use problem solving skills to resolve issues.
Able to make sound decisions based on analysis, experience and judgment.
Able to function both independently and as part of a global team.
Familiar with the MS Office and donor management systems. Knowledge of Salesforce and First Class preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, although an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for this required level of education.

Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Philanthropy Manager with demonstrated experience, preferably within the charity sector or comparable commercial environment. The role will involve primarily working from home and must be situated in or near London to attend regular in person meetings with key staff.

Key responsibilities

Maintain a portfolio of 50 – 70 major donors and prospects by creating and implementing strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors with the capacity to make 5 and low 6-figure annual gifts (bigger gifts would fall to the Vice President, International Development and UK Fundraising Director)
Conduct 75 to 100 meetings with donors and prospects annually through one-on-one meetings, site visits, and other types of meaningful contact.
Provide recommendations and assist in executing effective strategies to practice moves management and increase fundraising results.
Write and create customised proposals and presentations for major donors.
In coordination with the UK Fundraising Director, assist with developing projects that will enhance the major giving operations of the Development Department and support them by developing strategy briefs and leading preparation meetings.
Help produce cultivation and stewardship programs for prospects and major donors.
Organise at least two major donor events each year.
Organising research on major donors as well as conducting supplemental research.
Ensure all key administrative tasks for the philanthropy programme are taken care of.
Other duties as are appropriate for this role.

Travel

There is limited but regular travel into London for regular team meetings as well as travel as needed around the UK for meetings with major donors.

Required Education and Experience

5+ years of relevant experience with exposure to major gift donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship processes preferred.
A proven history of generating income in the £100,000’s and securing gifts of £25,000 or more.
Demonstrated success in developing substantive donor relationships and in supporting senior management, program staff, to execute donor and engagement strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with both management and donors.
Extremely detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.
Able to take ownership of a process and to use problem solving skills to resolve issues.
Able to make sound decisions based on analysis, experience and judgment.
Able to function both independently and as part of a global team.
Familiar with the MS Office and donor management systems. Knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, although an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for this required level of education.

SUMMARY

This maternity cover role will be responsible for the Lab's internal workings - people, culture, ways of working and operations. As an Executive level role, it will share overall responsibility for the Lab’s impact with the other members of the Exec (CEO, COO, Director of Programmes and Campaigns).

The role will be specifically responsible for:

• the people function, including team days, our annual retreat, and internal communications, as well as Human Resource management and our staff handbook),
• programme support, including stewardship of our Monitoring, Evaluation, learning and Planning system),
• coordinating the team’s fundraising work, and
• managing other areas of our operations, such as IT and infrastructure, including our new CRM system.
• The post-holder will be responsible for line managing the Operations Manager.

The post-holder will work closely with the COO, who will be leading on finance and governance. Together, they will be responsible for drafting the plan for the Lab’s Operations function in 2026.

This post is a 13 month fixed term contract, running from mid-May 2025 to mid-June 2026.

LOCATION

The team work remotely for the majority of the time, but as this role is responsible for people and culture ideally you will be able to attend monthly ‘team together days’ in London (travel paid if outside of London area) as well as an annual two-night retreat elsewhere in the UK in November. However, we don’t want this to be a barrier to applicants, so you can let us know at the interview stage if this would not be possible or will cause you challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

People: Ensure we recruit, retain, support and nourish a strong staff team and maintain a culture that reflects our values of ambition, collaboration and empowerment.

• Lead implementation of the Lab’s people and human resources strategy (together with the COO), in line with our core values, to maximise the team’s contribution to our mission (including team structure and roles, recruitment, onboarding and retention, staff handbook, and professional development).
• Develop and hold our team culture (together with the COO), aligned to the Lab’s core values, and ensure that the organisation maintains an effective, efficient and human working environment. Help ensure that we live our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and justice, in general as well as in areas that fall under your remit.
• Lead internal communications, ensuring that the team are informed about and involved in new developments as appropriate, including planning and coordinating team away days through the year.
• Support effective management of staff: Line manage the Operations Manager. Support Heads of Programme and others to develop and manage staff and freelancers, ensuring that we treat all our people fairly and responsibly.

Operations: Oversee effective systems and support colleagues who manage those systems.

• Oversee and support the Operations Manager to ensure that our core processes run smoothly; we have the infrastructure to support our growth, including office space and IT, and supplies; and that they are able to effectively support the programme team with reports, events and other projects.
• Oversee the Lab’s fundraising process, including identifying and researching potential new funders, maintaining our overview of our fundraising pipeline, funder timelines, monthly priorities, and record keeping. Support the Lab team to manage funding proposals and coordinate the development of funding proposal budgets, working closely with programme leads. Ensure funding reporting requirements are met, including supporting programme leads to draft programme reports, and the Finance Manager to prepare financial reports.
• Coordinate and oversee the Lab’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Planning system ensuring the team have what they need to complete the various elements, meet deadlines, and get the most out of the process. [RSS1] 
• Ensure high standards of information management across the organisation, enabling staff to share and access resources, insights and know-how. This includes maintaining high standards of data protection and privacy that embody the Lab’s commitment to responsible use of data, and maintaining the Lab’s new CRM system. 

Executive Team support: you will be a collaborative and engaged member of a strong executive team.

• Lead and manage organisational development projects to ensure that the Lab has effective, appropriate operational policies and processes, and that staff understand and implement these policies and processes.
• Be a collaborative, engaged and supportive colleague and be willing to take on or change responsibilities to help the organisation operate effectively, including offering general support to the other members of the Exec as needed.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising/CEO, the post holder will manage and oversee a growing programme of fundraising whilst working to build a pipeline of corporate partners to deliver ambitious income targets. About Children Change Colombia

Children Change Colombia is a UK registered charity with 33 years' experience in defending children's rights in Colombia. Today we are the UK's largest charity working exclusively in Colombia. We work with children whose rights to a safe, happy childhood, and a fulfilling future, are threatened by poverty, inequality and violence. We work with the children most at risk, to keep them safe and defend their rights in the long term, to tackle neglected issues that few others address and to strengthen children's organisations.

Through local partnerships, we currently work on three neglected issues:

• Sexual and gender-based violence 

• Access to education

• Forced recruitment into armed groups and reintegration into society

We believe that, with knowledge of their rights and the confidence to assert them, children can transform their own lives, their communities and Colombia itself.

We are a small and lively organisation and you will quickly become an essential part of our friendly team, involved in all areas of discussion and supporting the many areas of our work. Since 2020, we have tripled the number of beneficiaries and doubled our number of projects, geographical areas of work, and annual income —all while keeping administrative costs low.

In 2024 alone, our programs positively impacted the lives of 4,320 children and 1,920 adults in Colombia, plus 126 children from London, and their families. We also conducted three workshops with our local partners - online and in person - as part of our capacity-building programme. In 2024 we supported 7 local grassroots organisations with 11 different projects.

Purpose of the role:

• To keep the Executive Director and Trustees informed on the charity’s financial status through the production of management accounts and other financial reports 

• To introduce and supervise the implementation of systems, procedures and controls to ensure the smooth running of the charity’s finances and maximise accountability.

• To ensure that Children Change Colombia complies with its statutory obligations – specifically those relating to Charity Commission, Companie House and Inland Revenue.

• To work closely with the Executive Director to help run CCC.

Key Financial responsibilities

UK Finance:

• Prepare annual consolidated statutory accounts, guaranteeing compliance with SORP requirements, liaising with external examiners, consolidating with Colombian accounts.

• Prepare monthly management accounts, regular analytical reports on budget performance and cash flow forecasts for Executive Director (ED), Trustees and Treasurer at Finance Committee meetings, highlighting any specific areas of concern.

• Attend Finance Committee and Board meetings.

• Check and authorise bank payments and transfers in the UK office.

• Data input into Quickbooks of all accounting transactions, monthly reconciliation of 10 UK bank accounts, plus all balance sheet accounts. Keep the chart of accounts up-to-date, create new income or expenditure accounts and restricted funds when necessary, and ensure these correspond correctly with live projects.

• Run the monthly payroll & pension process.

• Maintain procedures and financial controls, ensuring their compliance with Charity Commission and Companies House guidelines and guaranteeing their application by Fundraising and Project Management teams.

• Coordinate production of the annual income and expenditure budgets (full budget and unrestricted budget). Enter these onto Quickbooks, to allow Actuals v Budget reports to be run from Quickbooks. Also create a mid-year re-forecast.

• Process grant transfers to the Colombia Office, to ensure project funds and Colombian operating costs are cash flowed in a timely manner.

• Oversee financial reporting for statutory and large funding sources.

• Prepare and submit Gift-Aid returns. Enter Gift Aid declarations onto the database.

• Update Finance Manuals for the London office and the Colombia Office annually.

• Provide guidance and financial information as requested by all.

• Liaise with Programmes regarding our partners & their accounts i.e. their financial health.

• Assist with funding applications, project budgets & financial reporting to funders.

• Download and code monthly fundraising reports for all online income platforms (including CAF, Donorbox, JustGiving, Benevity, Stewardship, Facebook) and Payroll Giving platforms (including Charitable Giving, Charities Trust). Code into Quickbooks.

• Process all cheques received into the office by scanning, coding and depositing into the bank; and compile a list of donors to be thanked.

• Maintain the list of Major Donors.

• Maintain the Newsletter income analysis document.

• Annually recalculate the Reserves traffic light values for monitoring unrestricted reserves.

Colombia Finance

• In collaboration with JGS (our Colombian accounting firm) process and approve all Colombian payments to partners, suppliers, core staff and project staff.

• Ensure supporting documents are provided for all Colombian expenditure and file on the drive accordingly.

• Enter all Colombian financial transactions onto Quickbooks using the correct exchange rates, and ensure details match those recorded by JGS in Siigo Nube.

• Monitor expenditure in Colombia against the Colombia office budget and project budgets.

• Reconcile 2 Colombian Bank accounts and 1 Colombian credit card on a monthly basis.

• Consolidate Colombian annual accounts into CCC’s UK consolidated annual accounts.

• Check the  Fundraising Grants Tracker monthly to ensure the project funds match the information recorded on Quickbooks.

• Lead a monthly meeting to ensure all staff  are aligned with the latest project details.

 

Key Governance responsibilities:

• Keep Charity Commission and Companies House records updated and ensure that annual accounts and annual returns are submitted on time.

• Inform Charity Commission and Companies House of any changes to constitution or Trustee membership. 

• Ensure CCC complies with Inland Revenue requirements and the Colombia equivalent.

• Ensure CCC’s insurance policies are renewed and reviewed annually on time. And that all projects are correctly covered by liability insurance.

• Ensure CCC remains up to date in meeting its obligations set by the Pensions Regulator.

• Support maintaining the financial aspects of the Risk Register.

• Renew the annual Microsoft Office and Antivirus subscriptions, providing links to all relevant staff.

• Monitor the info@childrenchangecolombia account, forward emails to relevant staff.

• Write Finance Committee minutes after each meeting.

Key HR responsibilities:

• Ensure staff understand their choices regarding pension deductions.

• Calculate entitlements and set up the annual leave chart annually.

• Calculate annual salaries based on pay rises or changes approved by the Finance Committee.

• Send expense claim & DBS information to new Interns, and pay their monthly expenses.

• Support updating HR policies.

• Run DBS checks for all staff, Trustees and volunteers, making sure these are renewed every 3 years, and keeping records of these.

• A professional accounting qualification and- or finance experience

We are looking to appoint a Volunteer Manager to lead the development and delivery of our Neuro Changemakers programme. Key activities will include recruitment and management of volunteers to lead self-help groups, setting up the administrative infrastructure to deliver these groups at scale, and to review our existing volunteer & ambassador strategy.

Reporting to the Professional Services Manager, the Volunteer Manager will be responsible for all aspects of volunteer activity for the Neuro Changemakers programme, including recruitment, induction, training, support and volunteer engagement and retention.

The Volunteer Manager will work closely with all our internal departments and external volunteer networks, acting as the first point of reference on volunteering process and policy across the organisation.

The successful candidate must have strong experience delivering volunteer-led programmes in support of vulnerable service users, with a proven track record in administration and volunteer project management. The ideal candidate will have experience growing such a programme to ambitious targets, and delivering at scale. Familiarity with neurology, neuroscience and neurological conditions is highly desirable.

The successful applicant will make a significant contribution towards the growth and success of our Neuro Changemakers programme through our online self- help groups across the UK. Just as crucially we provide valuable opportunities for individuals with lived experience of neurological conditions to gain skills and support others with their own experiences, as part of their own recovery and personal development journeys.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Responsible for attracting, recruiting and retaining volunteers based on the organisational strategy for Neuro Changemakers.
• Working closely with the Professional Services Manager to ensure sufficient volunteers are available to meet organisational needs.
• Recruitment, training, induction and ongoing volunteer development.
• Working closely with the Professional Services Manager to deliver a comprehensive volunteer training programme.
• Support strategies to capture M&E data within the Neuro Changemakers programme.
