We are actively looking to engage a Senior Project Finance and Risk Advisor (SPFRA) to join the Programme Finance Team here in the UK. This opportunity is offered on a two year fixed-term contract which is renewable.
About the role
The SPFRA, reports to the Head of Programme Finance and focuses in supporting and advising on project financial management and donor compliance to key stakeholders across the organisation. As a specialist role the post-holder has detailed understanding of the rules and regulations of an increasingly large portfolio of donors including USAID, the EC, FCDO and SCB[1] and a wide range of other smaller-scale funders.
This role is integral in supporting and advising teams and stakeholders throughout key stages of Sightsavers’ project life-cycles through to close-out and exit. The post-holder ensures project financial planning, monitoring and reporting are delivered on time and to a very high standard. The role also provides support to Sightsavers’ overall project financial management processes through capacity building and key projects/ objectives.
Key accountabilities but not limited to:
- Project cycle; financial management support and advice, project design and proposal development, project start-up and inception, implementation and close-out/ exit.
- Capacity building; identifying gaps and challenges and generating/ implementing the capacity building plan.
- Working on a portfolio independently, with support.
- Engaging in special objectives/ special projects as assigned.
- Providing other support as a member of the Programme Finance team.

Skills and knowledge

Following the successful application of a National Lottery award, we are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Group Development Officers to set up and sustain local peer support groups for people living with and affected by prostate cancer. These roles focus on building on our established networks to expand peer support in defined areas, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery through strategic outreach and resource development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Group formation and support: Oversee the setup and operation of 10-12 self-sustaining and independent peer support groups within your assigned region across the lifetime of the three-year project. Support existing group leaders and organisers to reach more people living with and affected by prostate cancer with tools and resources.
- Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and support volunteer Support Group Leaders. Assist in the co-production of training materials and resources, aimed at creating self-sustainable groups.
- Community Engagement: Conduct outreach to map existing support services and facilitate the integration of these services with the peer support groups. Host local engagement events to boost volunteer recruitment.

Skills and Qualities Required:
- Strong Facilitation and Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with diverse groups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Project Management: Proven skills in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Ability to meet deadlines and manage a varied workload.

Given the rarity of the disease, many patients have never heard of it before they are diagnosed, and therefore access to reliable information is hugely important. The Bone Cancer Research Trust are the only charity to provide detailed information on all types of primary bone cancers and tumours. Our information has also won a British Medical Association award.
The Health Information and Content Manager will be responsible for the charity’s information provision, ensuring it is relevant, evidence based, accessible and meets the needs of everyone affected by primary bone cancer. Leading on both the maintenance of the formal production process and the development of new resources across different formats, including video and webinar content.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a range of stakeholders, including primary bone cancer patients, their families and friends, healthcare professionals and researchers to ensure that every patient facing a diagnosis has access to the information they need and in a format that they can easily understand and use.

Delivery Partnerships: You will manage relationships with delivery partners, ensuring high-quality experiences for young people. You'll onboard and support partners to run programmes and facilitate events that inspire growth.

Development Awards: You will provide one-to-one support to young people aged 16-30, offering cash grants to enhance employability and life skills. You will help remove financial barriers to education, training, or employment.

Outreach: You will lead outreach efforts, attending events and building relationships with referral partners to promote The Trust’s programmes. Your goal will be to recruit and engage young people, creating opportunities for growth.

Employability: You will deliver employability sessions and provide one-to-one support to young people, building their skills and confidence to enter employment. You will also collaborate with partners to enhance young people's progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, volunteers, and young people.

This position will lead in delivering Mencap’s programme of high-value and multi-year partnerships. You will work across new business, and account management, implementing account plans for each partner. You will map opportunities to secure introduction and income through the existing portfolio, and will develop and secure new business opportunities circa £30k plus. As part of the role you will also ensure personal and team KPIs are met to guarantee that account management targets are achieved.
To be a successful Senior Partnership Manager, you will need:
- Proven experience in managing varied portfolios of six-figure partnerships.
- Understanding of corporate partnerships and how to identify, research and manage potential partnerships, as well growing existing relationships, internally and externally.
- Demonstrable experience in managing a pipeline and securing new business.
Salary: £40,000 to £44,000

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Legacy Officer to join our Legacies team. This is the ideal role for someone looking to gain more experience in legacy fundraising, and for someone who wants to make a difference to our communities when time matters most.

You may have previous experience working in a fundraising environment, in relationship management/direct marketing or in a customer service related role.
