Working as part of a team of five, and reporting to the Relationship & Events Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering income through effective donor acquisition, building and maintaining effective relationships and providing fundraising support to our donors and volunteers.  You will represent the Charity in the community, with local companies and in the hospitals, as well as attending and organising fundraising events.

We’re looking for someone with fundraising experience or transferable skills who is ready to hit the ground running. If you are calm under pressure, work well in a team, are flexible and conscientious, then we want to hear from you.

As a Fundraising Manager you will:

• Focus on developing the charity’s Events, Community and Individual Giving income, whilst developing relationships with individuals across the UK, to raise funds and increase the profile of the charity.
• Oversee delivering an annual programme of fundraising and income generating activities, including an exciting national events programme, community development programme, and individual giving programme
• Supporting the team in reaching the income targets for the charity as well as delivering a strategy to grow sustainable income

In order to be successful, you must have experienced :

• Experience of working in a fundraising or sales/marketing environment (preferably within the charity sector)

• Excellent proven leadership skills

• Excellent financial planning skills and the ability to manage large and complex budgets

 • Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating fundraising activities and events with the aim of continuous improvement

• Experience of fundraising or marketing campaigns including acquisition and retention campaigns

• Working with designers, copywriters, printers and mailing houses to develop and produce mailing packs

• Developing relationships with supporters who are devising and undertaking their own fundraising activities

• Excellent written skills – ability to tell a compelling story

• Strong face-to-face interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with confidence and fluency

• Self-motivation and ability to work independently

• Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, and using databases, preferably Salesforce

Role Purpose

You will work alongside the Strategic Projects Manager to provide flexible and high-quality project management and administrative support to the Senior Management Team, working across THET’s programmatic, operations, policy, and advocacy work.

Main Responsibilities

1. To provide high-quality project management support for new and emerging areas of work, responding flexibility to opportunities and needs as agreed with the Senior Management Team and Strategic Projects Manager.

2. To broker cross-organisational collaboration with the wider staff team to deliver on these projects and manage the effective handover of responsibility to those teams at appropriate moments.

3. To flex across projects and programmes during pinch points to provide extra capacity to team members where necessary.

4. To provide sound administrative support to the Senior Management Team and Strategic Projects Manager, undertaking research, planning and on occasion, logistical support as needed.

5. To liaise with a range of senior external stakeholders in the UK and overseas in the delivery of strategic projects.

6. To provide coordination support to key events in THET’s events cycle, when additional capacity is required.

Possible initiatives coming up over the next six months include:

· Developing and delivering defined Organisational growth initiatives;

· Supporting THET’s Mid-Term Strategy review;

· Developing organisational or project Standard Operating Procedures;

· Supporting SMT on the delivery of organisation-wide moments (such as the Staff Away Day, Country Director Annual Meetings)

· Supporting the planning and delivery of the THET conference and UK-Africa Health Summit;

About the Charity

The Environment Investigation Agency investigate and campaign against environmental crime and abuse. Their undercover investigations expose transnational wildlife crime, with a focus on elephants and tigers, and forest crimes such as illegal logging and deforestation for cash crops like palm oil. The EIA work to safeguard global marine ecosystems by addressing the threats posed by plastic pollution, bycatch and commercial exploitation of whales, dolphins and porpoises. Finally, EIA aims to reduce the impact of climate change by campaigning to eliminate powerful refrigerant greenhouse gases, exposing related illicit trade and improving energy efficiency in the cooling sector.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join EIA as the fundraising team grows. As the Philanthropy Manager, you will lead on the development and delivery of a new philanthropy programme, which includes developing tailored stewardship programmes for High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs), expanding the donor base through effective prospecting and cultivation, and working with campaign teams to develop donor funding propositions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Head of Fundraising to shape and grow this integral income stream, drawing on your robust philanthropy fundraising experience and applying your dynamic approach to engage prospective partners and develop existing relationships.

Key Purpose:

This role encompasses the day-to-day running of RABI’s mental health training programme. To include liaising with individuals and organisations seeking training; working with RABI’s specialist training providers; budgeting and invoicing, monitoring and evaluating the service.

International Field Officer - various locations overseas (January 2025 start date)

Location: Initial Field Officer training will be in Cambodia or Sri Lanka. First posting will be assigned across any of our global programmes.

The mission of the HALO Trust is: “To lead the effort to save lives and restore livelihoods for those affected by conflict”. HALO clears landmines, disposes of explosive ordnance including IEDs, and is involved in weapon control.

When you become a Field Officer in HALO, you join a team with a shared commitment to making a difference in some of the most vulnerable communities in the world. HALO offers a full training package for the role of Field Officer, and you do not require previous knowledge of landmine clearance or ordnance disposal.

HALO wants people who have a sense of adventure but are responsible and mature. We are looking for leaders who are resilient and self-motivated.

HALO’s Field Officers work across our programmes in various roles and with early responsibilities. You will need the aptitude to be able to function in dynamic and challenging environments and you should have demonstrable management and leadership skills.

HALO’s training will prepare you for deployment to one of our programmes where you could be leading between 250 and 1,000 local employees. On the Field Officer course you will receive technical training in mine clearance, basic explosive ordnance disposal and minefield survey. You will cover HALO’s finance, logistics, security and quality management systems. Once deployed to a programme, in addition to operational field work you will be involved in equipment auditing and maintenance, overseeing repair of vehicles, and writing reports and proposals.

Working for HALO is rewarding, but it is also physically and mentally demanding. Living and operating in remote locations in basic conditions can be wearing. You will be away from home for months on end. HALO Field Officers must be flexible and be willing to be posted to any of HALO's programmes.

Purpose of the Post
To lead insight and impact of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector across Bradford District and Craven, including developing and managing the Impact and Insight function for the VCS Alliance. To ensure the work of the VCSE sector is founded on good insight and that the impact can be presented clearly to wide range of audiences across the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership system. You will work in partnership with data and intelligence colleagues in Public Health and the NHS, promoting equitable outcomes for all community members.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To lead, on behalf of the VCSE sector, and in collaboration with system partners, the development of a shared set of metrics to measure the impact of the sector’s work, particularly in taking pressure off front line health and care services.
• Lead the development and implementation of an approach to demonstrate the impact of the work of VCS partners and their contribution to reducing inequalities.
• Work in collaboration with other voluntary sector infrastructure partners and their data and insight leads to help develop a joined up and collaborative approach to impact and insights across and on behalf of the VCSE sector.
• Develop, maintain and manage good relationships with a broad range of partners including, Local Authority, NHS partners, VCSE partners.
• Gather local, national, and international insight and learning to help inform investment decisions and the evolution of the VCS Alliance and its delivery partners’ work.
• Provide insight and learning for VCS Alliance staff, and VCSE advocates across the health and care system, to help them inform, advocate, influence and/or inspire.
• Present insights to a wide range of audiences, which includes senior leaders from different sectors, for a range of purposes including informing, advocating, influencing, and inspiring.
• To work in collaboration with system partners, including ICB and public health staff, to access relevant data that be translated into insight required to demonstrate impact of the VCSA and its delivery partners and wider VCSE organisations.
• Support the monitoring, learning, evaluation of programmes for the VCS Alliance and its delivery partners.
• Produce regular reports which help demonstrate the impact and learning of the work of the VCS Alliance and its delivery partners.
• Support the continued development of insight collection methods across a variety of projects.
• Engage in insight and impact conversations on behalf of the VCS Alliance with colleagues with similar roles across the BDC ICB system and the wider VCSE sector.
• Liaise with external evaluation agencies as required, ensuring that their insight is integrated within the VCS Alliance impact and insight system.
• Assist the Operations Director in managing all aspects of GDPR on behalf of the VCS Alliance, including acting in the role of Caldicott Guardian.

General Requirements

• Support general VCSA administration by handling inquiries via the telephone, email and drop-ins.
• Provide relevant information for VCSA’s newsletter/s, mailings, website and social media.

Special conditions
As part of this role, you will be required to work and travel across the Bradford District and Craven. While the VCS Alliance supports hybrid working, there is an expectation that you will be based at the office for at least two days per week.

Role Purpose

The role holder will be part of the Operations & Transformation Directorate reporting to the Head of PMO / Change and Delivery Lead.

The incumbent will have a pivotal role in the management of change, implementation and continuous improvement projects, mostly in the digital and IDS sphere. Essential:

Terms and Conditions

• Location: This role can be based at the MAF UK Offices in Folkstone, Kent or optionally could be in the Oxford, Cambridge arc as we seek to launch a new hub in the Milton Keynes area, maximising our engagement with a thriving local aerospace and charity sector region.  Up to two days a week in our Folkstone Office might be initially required.We welcome hybrid working in line with our flexible working policy, the needs of the business, the requirements of the role and your location. Yorkshire Children’s Charity is seeking a Trusts and Foundations Manager to work with the CEO to develop and grow a fundraising strategy. You will be responsible for all Trusts and Foundations income generation and you will be expected to deliver high-value fundraising proposals.

Core Functions Trusts and Foundations to Include:

· Maintaining and growing the database of trusts and foundations with potential to support Yorkshire Children’s Charities, prospecting funders for new and growing programmes. You will have access to FundsOnline to support prospecting.

· Work with our Board of Trustees to map connections with Trusts & Foundations and establish a plan of introductions/stewardship to be managed by Trustees

· Proactively seek out trusts and foundations who support capital projects.

· Work with the CEO to develop a funding strategy for the Great Yorkshire Build.

The Major Donor Manager will develop and deliver a leading-edge programme of major donor fundraising that maximises sustainable income and long-term value for the Charity, ensuring that high-value fundraising opportunities arising from the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Appeal in 2026 are optimised. They will ensure the highest quality of stewardship and supporter engagement, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a seamless approach to major donor cultivation. Key duties include: 

• Work with the Head of Leadership Giving to further develop the Charity’s major donor fundraising strategy and budget, maximising sustainable net income and capitalising on opportunities afforded by the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal in 2026. 

• Acquire an excellent knowledge and understanding of the Charity’s values and programmes, working collaboratively to provide bespoke donor information and cases for support. 

• Produce and implement solicitation and development plans for existing major donors and prospects, developing opportunities for them to become active and engaged in the Charity’s activities. 

• Establish and deliver a programme of major donor research, solicitation, cultivation and stewardship that drives interest, engagement and major giving. 

• Develop and deliver high quality, innovative and persuasive pitches (including collateral and supporting budgets) to prospective and existing major donors to deliver income and pipeline development targets. 

• Develop relationships with Trustees and other key stakeholders where appropriate in order to access peer networks for potential prospecting, supporting them as peer advocates and ambassadors for the Charity. 

• Establish and support major donor solicitation vehicles (for example volunteer leadership boards) to aid in the delivery of the major donor fundraising strategy and programme. 

• Work collaboratively across the St Martins’ partner charities to ensure major donor relationships are stewarded in a way that optimises engagement and giving to St Martins’ causes. 

 
We’re looking for the following skills and experience: 

• Successful track record in securing and growing financial contributions from major donor audiences. 

• Proven experience working with senior volunteers, influencers or advisers to achieve major donor fundraising success, either from development boards or giving networks.   

• Demonstrable success in converting prospects to donors, personally securing gifts from private individuals of £50k plus. 

• Demonstrable experience of negotiating significant major gifts that have required balancing the demands of major donors with the needs/expectations of the Charity. 

• Experience of deploying prospect research and wealth screening techniques to build major donor supporter and prospect insight. 

• Experience of high value special events and cultivation programmes.
