Royal Trinity Hospice (Trinity) is the UK’s oldest hospice and serves a community of 950,000 in central and southwest London. Trinity delivers specialist end of life and palliative care at the Hospice and in the community as well as support and counselling services for family and friends.

We are looking for a driven Individual Giving Executive to deliver creative direct marketing campaigns across print and digital platforms. You will be instrumental in expanding our supporter base, increasing income, and delivering exceptional donor experiences.

You will collaborate with colleagues across the Fundraising team, Comms and Marketing, as well as external agencies.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Service Manager contract to join our small team of 3. Solace is a unique mental health drop-in centre providing a welcoming and supportive community for adults experiencing loneliness, isolation, and mental health challenges. With 85 members, many diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression, Solace offers a safe space where individuals can feel included, build confidence, and make meaningful connections at their own pace. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals within our community. 

Our members’ slogan, “Together Accepting Difference”, reflects our commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. Solace is more than a service – it’s a second home for many, where members can engage in activities like playing pool, using computers, or helping out in the garden meet with friends and have a coffee.  

Shift Pattern: Full Time - Monday to Fridays - Shift Patterns are 13.00 - 20.00 flexibility to work over Christmas and some bank holidays as may be required by the Service On-site Only

• Confidence in using IT; we use various systems and software's so need someone who is confident in learning new IT skills and can navigate around computer systems
• Has confident leadership skills and can inspire and motivate a team. While you’ll have support from management, this role requires someone who can take ownership and lead with confidence
• Can drive the service forward and implement improvements
• Is confident in managing complex situations and making decisions
• Takes ownership of their work and leads with confidence
• Can work at pace, use their initiative, make decisions, and be proactive in their approach
• Has experience in homelessness, substance use, or a related field, with transferable skills that align with some of the challenges that can arise in this position 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the team: Providing high-quality guidance, advice, and leadership to frontline care and support staff.
• Day-to-day operations: Overseeing the service in collaboration with the Service Manager, ensuring the delivery of trauma-informed and recovery-focused support to residents.
• Stakeholder management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with external partners, including the community rehabilitation team within the mental health trust.
• Service promotion: Representing the service and providing outreach-based provision to engage with stakeholders.
• Health and safety: Conducting health and safety checks, internal audits, and ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
• Document preparation: Preparing documents for external meetings
• Incident management: Advising on and responding to incidents as they arise.
• Service leadership: Managing the service in the absence of the Service Manager, ensuring continuity and high standards of care.

Our Gateway Drop-In Centre offers nutritious meals, laundry and medical facilities, showers, IT access, phone charging , a safe space to rest and a dedicated Women’s Sanctury.  

When members feel ready, our team of expert staff are on hand to support them into suitable accommodation where possible, secure income via paid work or benefits, and provide immigration signposting for those who need it. Once housed, our Move+ programme continues to work with them to ensure they settle into new accommodation with the knowledge, skills, community and hope required to thrive in their new life.  

We also run The Bridge, a free six-week evening mental health course open to anyone in the community experiencing mental distress. The programme provides a practical toolkit to support long-term mental wellbeing.  

JOB OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES 

This newly created role will play a vital role in advancing 999 Club’s ambitious plans to enhance its status, reputation, and support among both existing and wider audiences. At this pivotal moment in the charity’s history, the postholder will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications and the Members’ Committee to co-develop and implement a bold new communications and marketing strategy. 

Building on last year’s extensive rebrand, this role will ensure that the voices of those with lived experience remain central to the organisation’s messaging and identity. A key focus will be strengthening internal and external communication, uniting our diverse membership—which includes staff, clients, volunteers, trustees, and supporters—while also reaching new audiences through social media, direct marketing, PR, and media outreach. 

A major priority will be the relaunch and expansion of the 999 Club’s Membership Scheme and Patrons Programme, designed to deepen awareness and support for 999 Club across Southeast London and beyond. Underpinning these efforts, the postholder will manage the Donorfy CRM database and ensure the ongoing maintenance and development of our WordPress website. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES  

• Manage 999 Club’s social media across all major platforms, creating engaging content that amplifies member voices and resonates with wider audiences. 

• Identify and sensitively share compelling stories that inspire support, avoid clichés and reinforce 999 Club’s themes of positivity, progress, and hope. 

• Produce dynamic newsletter content that strengthens reader engagement and drives action. 

• Work with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to eensure that all design and communications align with 999 Club’s brand style, visual identity, and tone of voice. 

• Handle press enquiries and proactively promote 999 Club’s work across media channels. 

• Establish a Patrons Programme that reflects 999 Club’s our unique and diverse character and supports strategic growth. 

• Launch and develop the Membership Scheme, securing partnerships with local businesses in Lewisham and Greenwich to boost visibility and support. 

• Maintain and manage the Donorfy database, ensuring accurate donor records, reporting, and updates. 

• Produce regular reports, data and analytics on social media and website activity to inform strategy.

• Identify opportunities for promotion and outreach, and represent 999 Club at events, festivals, and meetings. 

• Maintain and update the WordPress website, applying best practices in SEO and accessibility.

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

Qualifications 
Desirable: 

• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development e.g. courses, training, other or qualifications. 

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent), preferably in design, marketing or a related field and/or a profession. 

Experience and knowledge 

Essential: 

• Proven expertise in communications, marketing, and brand development. 

• Strong customer service and public relations skills. 

• High confidence with IT systems and a willingness to learn new platforms.

Deal Music & Arts (DMA) aims to bring the best in arts and culture to Deal and the wider Dover District of East Kent. Our purpose is to create opportunities for local people and visitors to engage with the highest quality of music and the arts as audiences, learners and performers.

Founded in 1982, DMA has evolved from a summer festival to a year-round organisation that now delivers both the annual Festival and a range of learning & participation programmes to encourage creative engagement in the community of East Kent. Deal Music and Arts is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to share and demonstrate this commitment.

Working in collaboration with the DMA Artistic Director who is responsible for the artistic excellence of the Festival, the Executive Director will provide strategic leadership and oversight to deliver DMA’s mission and objectives as set out in its Five Year Plan , and ensure the organisation’s financial viability. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping DMA’s future and its positive contribution to the local community.

About the role:

The Digital Officer is a key member of the Marketing and Digital team. We are a friendly, creative, and supportive team, responsible for raising awareness and growing the brand of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, as well as our website, email, social, direct mail, paid advertising and more. This is a particularly exciting time to join our growing team as we shape and improve the charity’s digital approach and prepare to launch a new large-scale capital fundraising appeal.

As Digital Officer you'll work closely with Marketing and digital colleagues, as well as fundraising teams across the organisation. You will be a key player in maintaining and improving the charity’s digital presence, focussing on website management and web content, keeping our supporters and audiences at the heart of everything you do.

It is also an exciting time to join our digital team, as this role will begin part way through a redevelopment of our website. The Digital Officer will play a vital part in supporting the wider digital team to QA and deploy the new site, and support the Digital teams efforts to embed new ways of working and processes for the new site and ongoing roadmap.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support day-to-day management and improvement of the website. Includes content updates to ensure information is correct and up-to-date, and editing pages as needed across the site, following digital best practice.

• Support with the blog content calendar and blog content creation. Writing, building, publishing and optimising digital content, then measuring performance using tools like GA4 and Hotjar.

• Embedding and promoting digital best practice. Ensuring new content developed follows digital, SEO and UX best practices and supporting colleagues within the charity to understand and deliver the best digital experience across key campaigns by providing advice, recommendations and feedback.

• Supporting the wider Digital Team in delivering a training programme across the organisation, which will embed our new content creation process and build digital skills across the organisation.

To be successful in your application you'll need:

• Professional experience using CMS (Content Management Systems) and knowledge of website management, on-page and technical SEO and digital best practice. Knowledge of UX is desirable but not essential.
• Experience using data tools, such as Google Analytics for reporting and identifying actionable insights.
• Excellent copywriting, editorial and proofreading skills.
• Experience in writing for the web or digital channels and creating content tailored to a variety of audiences.
• Ability to communicate, work collaboratively and build good working relationships.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work proactively and manage multiple projects concurrently.

The following are beneficial to your application but not essential:

• Experience of digital collaboration and project management tools like Trello, MS teams or JIRA.
• Experience in a similar role within a complex organisation, charity or health/science organisation.
• Experience of working with contractors, agencies and freelancers.
• Previous training in digital publishing, digital marketing, Google Analytics, SEO, UX, copy writing or similar.
