About You
The Policy and Engagement Manager is responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of the Society’s growing policy and engagement programme.

This role will report to the Head of Engagement and Storytelling, with managerial responsibilties for the Policy and Engagement Officer, and will have responsibility for leading the development and coordination of key strategic policy and engagement activities, including progressing external scientific and higher education policy for the Society and promoting the importance of engaging in policy-making to members of the Society.

Suitable candidates will have experience in developing evidence-based policy, including in research, innovation and higher education policy. They will also have excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to manage and build effective relationships with key stakeholders engaging in the Society’s activities.

Job Summary 

The purpose of this role is to bring additional operational capacity to new church plants and partnerships. This role will work across multiple partnerships on a fixed term basis to support the operational set up of new partnerships, and leading on operational improvements where there are existing processes. 

This role will be pivotal in establishing sustainable operational excellence, allowing ministry teams to undertake missional work.

Purpose of the role

The Volunteer and Training Coordinator role will play a key role in supporting the Youth Zone’s mission by managing the recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced manager for a prestigious new role in our garden at the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville. 

Horatio’s Garden is a nationwide charity creating and nurturing beautifully designed gardens in NHS’s spinal injury centres. The Patient Experience Manager will be the figure head/ambassador for the garden. 

You will be responsible for the smooth running of a thriving, vibrant garden ensuring the patient and their family are appropriately supported throughout their time in Stoke Mandeville. 

This role requires you to manage a large established team of volunteers and work closely with the Gardener who maintains the horticultural standard of the garden and delivers therapeutic horticulture sessions. 

You will be managed by the national Patient Experience Lead, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with clinical and non-clinical NHS staff, corporate sponsors, funders, the Fundraising team, and the Events Programme Manager. 

The fully accessible garden has been beautifully designed and maintained, and the role of the garden needs to reflect an appropriate environment for patients and their families at all stages of their recovery.  From the initial welcome, to ensuring the contact and relationship is consistent with activities to suit their needs.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering social activities, supported by the charity’s Events Programme Manager and in collaboration with the wider Stoke Mandeville team. These activities will mainly need to be held on a weekend afternoon which is a critical time in the garden when most patients are available and often have friends and family to visit. Currently the Arts programme includes crafts, quizzes, seasonal celebrations with lunches, in addition sessional creative experts also deliver glass fusing workshops, felting, printing, talks, painting, ceramic workshop, live music performances.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, proactive individual who is efficient, well organised and has outstanding communication and relationship building skills. Purpose: This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a newly created post in the role of Partnerships Engagement Coordinator for Education and Employers on the internationally recognised Inspiring the Future programme. The Charity aims to ensure that all young people have the inspiration, motivation, knowledge, skills and opportunities they need to help them achieve their potential.

This key post is part of the Partnerships Team with responsibility for supporting the team to deliver various showcase virtual and face-to-face events and activities involving a diverse range of volunteers from the world of work. The role is rewarding and varied and will include supporting delivery of funded partnerships and general administrative support. 

Remuneration: £24-25k per annum

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Partnerships Manager and working closely with colleagues in the Partnerships Team, the Partnerships Engagement Coordinator is responsible for working closely with volunteers and school staff to support successful delivery of interactive activities aimed at schools and young people under key funded projects for the charity’s Inspiring the Future and Primary Futures programmes. These programmes leverage technology to raise the aspirations and broaden the horizons of children and young people by connecting them to a huge range of volunteers from the world of work via career related learning activities.

The Partnerships team are responsible for relationship management of the key corporate and charity partners for the charity’s Inspiring the Future and Primary Futures programmes. Partners cover a range of sectors and employment areas and our employer partnerships provide partners employees with the opportunity to engage with schools, and reach many children and young people across the UK, both virtually and in-person.

This role will be split between supporting organisation of activities related to our corporate partners and delivering activities to schools across parts of the country. There is opportunity to interface directly with children and young people from both secondary and primary schools. through facilitating virtual and in person interactive activities with volunteers.

Learning with Parents is recruiting for a School Partnership Manager to work closely with the Schools Team to develop partnerships with new schools and support them as they launch our programme. The Services Lead will lead on the operational delivery of a portfolio of mental health and wellbeing services, and to oversee the recruitment, line management and support of service staff and volunteers. They will ensure that services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard, co-produced with service users and people with lived experience.

The Services Lead will oversee the day-to-day delivery of Derbyshire Mind's mental health and wellbeing services, ensuring efficient systems and processes are in place to meet KPIs and service objectives. They will manage staff and volunteers, allocate caseloads, oversee triage and audits, and monitor waiting lists. Responsibilities include managing service risks, maintaining databases, monitoring data accuracy, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

The role involves engaging service users through co-production strategies, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and promoting services to diverse communities. Additionally, the Services Lead will address safeguarding concerns, prepare service reports for funders and commissioners, attend meetings, and contribute to the development of service resources and marketing materials.
