About the position

The GMS Support Manager will be responsible for leading on the day-to-day operations of the Freedom Fund’s new Salesforce Grant Management System. The project to develop the new GMS is currently in progress, with user training expected to take place in January 2025 and the Go Live planned for February 2025.  The transition to the new system will be a significant change in the organisation’s way of working; currently the Freedom Fund’s grant management process is manual and spread over multiple different platforms.

Initially, the focus of the role will be on supporting the Freedom Fund staff as they transition to using the new system, including assisting with user training and working with the implementation partner Hyphen8 to identify and resolve any issues that arise. Following Go Live, the GMS Support Manager will be responsible for leading on administration and maintenance of the system, requiring a good technical knowledge of how Salesforce works. The role will be responsible for user training and support, leading on staff consultation for future system developments and prioritising requests. The successful candidate will also act as the main point of contact between the Freedom Fund and implementation partner Hyphen8 for both ongoing support and future development phases. 

Responsibilities 

• Support the roll-out of the Freedom Fund’s new Grant Management System, including supporting Hyphen8 with user training and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the transition.

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Salesforce system; including system performance, change control and user support 

• Support the day-to-day administrative functions and configuration including user management, permissions, sharing rules, objects, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, reports and dashboards 

• Be proactive in system maintenance including keeping up with Salesforce releases, features and best practices 

• Be the key point of contact between Freedom Fund and Hyphen8 

• Understand the Freedom Fund’s needs and work with Hyphen8 (as appropriate) and staff to meet changes 

• Decide how best to direct the core support hours provided by Hyphen8 during version upgrades in order to achieve the best results 

• Understand and own the Freedom Fund’s Salesforce architecture including the data model, integrations (including with the finance system), reporting and analytics 

• Maintain data quality by monitoring data and addressing the procedural issues which lead to loss of quality 

• Promote the use of Salesforce across the Freedom Fund, optimising the return on investment in this capability 

• Interpret and prioritise requests for GMS development and support 

• Work with colleagues across the Freedom Fund to understand business needs, finding a suitable mixture of support, challenge and direction to enable colleagues to get the most from the GMS 

• Deliver end user support and training to help colleagues use the system effectively 

• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and internal policies

• Train Freedom Fund IT Officer on core functionality of the new GMS

• Actively supporting Postgraduate Research students with queries and administrative support, including funding arrangements.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will: 

• Identify and qualify a pipeline for up to 6-figure gifts for both unrestricted and restricted giving

• Develop and implement strong cultivation and solicitation plans for existing donors to generate significant income from the portfolio. This will include personal meetings, attending networking events, writing proposals/reports and making presentations

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experienced in a similar fundraising role, with a knowledge of major donor fundraising, ideally within an international development or humantarian NGO
• Ability to input into fundraising strategies with a track record of securing 4-5 figure gifts and delivering against targets
• Experienced in stewardship strategies for major donors or the development of supporter journeys in order to retain donors

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.  

Absolutely central to this is designing, commissioning and managing complex and rigorous impact evaluations with experts in the field. The new government has an ambition to halve knife crime within a decade, and we’re anticipating opportunities to work with them to build evidence on new approaches to tackling violence involving children. Your role will focus on creating and making the best of those opportunities. You will: 

• Serve as a senior member of the team. YEF is buzzing with activity and in order to prevent any bottlenecks, we need to expand our senior capacity. 

• Run and manage closed calls for complex evaluations commissioned under Targeted Projects. For each of the programmes we work with, we find and appoint independent evaluators. 

• Expertly manage relationships with key stakeholders. Aside from evaluators, we work closely with other grantees and partners. 

• Represent YEF at governance meetings and other external engagements. We’re passionate about our mission, proud of the work we’re doing to get there, and we’re keen to share this with stakeholders.  

• Provide support and counsel to our team of Senior Evaluation Managers and Evaluation Managers. This team closely manages over 35 efficacy trials, over 20 pilot studies and even more in the earlier stages of evaluation.

The role:

To support projects across the local impact department by coordinating the provision of project materials and resources and ensuring that project-level data is being generated, recorded, and reported on.

Overall purpose

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations initially, the role holder will have technical leadership and overall responsibility for managing the Data and Innovation team. This team helps Breaking Barriers maximise the value of its data, by conducting analysis and managing the CRM (Salesforce) and related software.

The team works across all areas of the organisation to improve processes, unlock efficiencies through automation and generate insights from data. They ensure that data is utilised to inform any innovations or refinements to our services.

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

We are looking for an experienced strategically minded, dynamic and proactive project management professional to join us here at the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) as our Initiatives Manager.

In this pivotal role as Initiatives Manager you will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of initiatives to support us in fulfilling our overarching goal of growing the UK workforce in our specialties of Clinical Radiology and Clinical Oncology, ensuring that quality and impact are at the heart of our plans. 

With a focus on the strategic development side of the team you will cultivate information into initiatives such as the development of curricula or standards but also ongoing initiatives which will serve to increase routes into the workforce for both existing and emerging groups of doctors and allied health professionals. Leading and motivating a high-performing and dedicated team to do so.

What you’ll do: 

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project officers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. 
• Build and maintain the team’s programme of activities, ensuring resources are appropriately planned to deliver individual projects as needed.
• Work with the Head of Workforce Development and Training and Workforce Project Officers to plan and agree deliverable programmes of work over the college year.
• Oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of workforce development initiatives, ensuring alignment with RCR objectives.
• Undertake market research to evaluate the viability of proposed new workforce initiatives, targeting those with the greatest impact and reach.
• Establish and oversee necessary quality assurance mechanisms for workforce and training programmes.

Role Overview

• You will be responsible for the operational delivery of on-air fundraising appeals, including briefing documents, promotional materials, and donation incentives.
• You will review and implement the use of impact audio from on-air appeals, coach presenters during appeals, and manage the On-Air Testimony Producer who secures live donor calls.
• You will be a key contributor to Premier’s on-air fundraising programme, overseeing monthly on-air fundraising messaging, script writing, production, and traffic scheduling.
• You will contribute ideas for capturing audience data and oversee the execution of on-air data capture campaigns.
• The role requires liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of fundraising appeals, compliance with Ofcom regulations, and maintaining Premier's commitment to quality and equality.

World Cancer Research Fund champions the latest and most authoritative scientific research from around the world on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity, so that we can empower people to make informed lifestyle choices to reduce their cancer risk.

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Director who will be responsible for the work of the charity within the UK. The Director will be the strategic and day to day leader of the UK organisation and will also work hands-on not only with his/her direct reports but also all teams in the office. We are seeking a leader who can take the UK charity’s fundraising to new heights; thus, this is a particularly important focus area.

The role will be directly overseeing the World Cancer Research Fund UK’s Fundraising and Health Information Departments. You will report to the CEO and work in partnership with the UK CEO and other senior executives in updating and implementing the organisation’s strategy and objectives. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of directing and leading a similar sized UK philanthropic organisation (or a fundraising team within a larger charity), including writing and implementing strategies and evaluating outcomes. You will have proven experience of delivering fundraising objectives as well as a strong track record in communications and up to date knowledge of social media and digital strategies. Substantial experience of management of teams at both strategic and tactical level including developing skills, abilities, performance management and confidence in staff is required as are high level speaking skills.

We’re proud to have recently been given funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to complete the next phase of our ‘Reuniting Sydenham Hill Wood & Dulwich Wood’ project. 

The project will focus on 27.4 hectares of ancient woodland habitat in the largest remining tract of the Great North Wood in South London. This natural heritage is a vital resource for the local community – the Woods saw an unprecedented 81% increase in footfall during the height of the pandemic, with visitor numbers increasing from 189,645 in 2019 to 343,385 in 2020. Only fragments of the ancient Great North Wood landscape remain; this project will help to ensure the long-term protection of the largest area of remaining Woodland. 

As Project Manager, you can expect to:

• Oversee all work, ensuring that all project work is completed on time and to budget as described in the delivery phase, holding quarterly meetings to ensure we’re on track
• liaise and further develop relationships with relevant partners and funders
• oversee procurement and management of contractors in the capital works programme for the Woods, this includes the installation footpaths, conservation fencing, boundary railings, and improved entranceways
• oversee and coordinate the Woodland Activity programme which will be delivered by the Senior Officer - Sydenham Hill Wood & Dulwich Wood & the Learning & Engagement Officer along with volunteers
• to implement a signage & interpretation strategy for Dulwich Wood to enable greater, physical and intellectual access
• liaise with the Trust’s Ecologist & manage Ecology Consultants as required. To oversee the implementation of surveys

• Experience of project management including budget management and reporting to funders
• An understanding of urban wildlife conservation issues, including woodland habitat restoration and management
• Experience of managing contractors for capital works & consultants

• Experience of partnership working with a wide range of organisations including landowners, local authorities & community groups
