About the role

The Professional Institutions and Stakeholder Executive role will be part of the Business & Industry team (12 people), who have responsibility for all funding and industry relationships across EngineeringUK. The team works strategically with stakeholders across the engineering, technology and education sectors, to support our mission to increase the number and diversity of young people choosing engineering and technology careers.

We are looking for an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner to plan, deliver and support LGBTQ+ children and young people. This role involves working with children and young people identified as requiring emotional wellbeing support through face to face, virtual and group sessions. You will provide a safe space for young people who identify as LGBTQ+, undertake assessments and include a range of evidence based interventions in your delivery. 
As an EWP practitioner you will hold a weekly caseload and work collaboratively with the LGBTQ+ Project Team and wider organisation to ensure delivery and the successful completion of funded contracts.

The service is underpinned by CYP IAPT principles and the post holder would support and assist the core aims of this in the service. 

Key Responsibilities  

Delivering services to children and young people 

• Assess the needs and strengths of children or young people who identify as LGBTQ+ and help them identify individual goals to achieve desired change 

• Use creative engaging approaches and own knowledge along with research based methods and models to meet the emotional wellbeing needs of CYP within the LGBTQ+ community 

• Plan and implement Risk Assessments for 1-1 and group based activities 

• To take responsibility for own caseload of CYP that identify as LGBTQ+ and their families some with complex and multiple needs

• To involve these CYP and their families where appropriate, in the co-production of programmes, activities and services 

• Engage with CYP within the LGBTQ+ community, both 1-1, face to face and virtual group sessions to motivate, inspire and encourage potential 

• Support in the planning and delivery of LGBTQ+ sessions, ensuring continued support is given to CYP; putting young people first, ensuring we offer the right help at the right time. 

• Work in partnership with other professionals and organisations involved with LGBTQ+ CYP where appropriate, to ensure best outcomes for CYP’s. 

• Establish appropriate professional boundaries in relationships with CYP and families 

• Provide time-limited 1:1 sessions for CYP who identify as LGBTQ+ and their families

Salary: This role has been benchmarked at a UK salary of £67,000 (pro rata for a part-time position).

Overview

To date, Global Dialogue’s finances has been overseen by an external accountancy firm. Over the last eighteen months, we have been working towards bringing our finance function in house. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to take the reins and complete the development and roll out of our internal finance function.

The Head of Finance is a new role within the organisation that is both strategic and handson. In the first phase, the postholder will be required to roll up their sleeves and, with the support of Global Dialogue’s Finance Officer, get stuck into the detail of financial administration, including overseeing twice monthly pay runs, monthly and quarterly closes, and other day-to-day financial management tasks. Alongside this, the role will lead on bringing the finance function fully in house, eventually taking on full responsibility for the preparation of management and statutory accounts, cashflow and FX management, and budgeting and forecasting processes. This role will play a key coaching role for the Finance Officer, with a view to eventually delegating all bookkeeping tasks. The postholder will also be responsible for ensuring finance systems are innovative, robust and fit for purpose, and will be a business partner to our hosted programmes, providing advice on compliance and strategic matters.

Global Dialogue’s role as an international fiscal host means that we have a complex financial model, receive income from diverse streams and manage a high number of restricted funds. Our programmes lead cutting edge work, which means that our work is varied and fastpaced, requiring frequent innovation. Overall, this role provides an exciting opportunity to join a growing human rights organisation at a crucial juncture in our journey.

We are looking for a Project Lead (peer support) who will manage all aspects of  a new project, from developing detailed plans and timelines to collaborating with our steering committee to define objectives and success criteria. You’ll take charge of volunteer management, ensuring adherence to policies, leading recruitment and training sessions, and providing ongoing support to our dedicated volunteers. By building strong links with the community and engaging with existing support groups and healthcare professionals, you’ll help to create a robust network for those affected by ovarian cancer. Additionally, you’ll oversee communication strategies, produce high-calibre progress reports, and continuously evaluate the project’s impact.  This project is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund

The role is a full time, 35 hours per week, 3 year fixed-term contract position.

We currently offer a hybrid-working model. We’re delighted to be working with an ambitious international development charity who are searching for a Head of Fundraising. The charity supports individuals with mobility challenges to live a full life. The Head of Fundraising will focus on developing and expanding their portfolio of individual donors, trusts and foundations and corporate partners. This is also a great role for someone looking to step up into a Head of role for the first time.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the strategy, a small team and the stewardship and re-engagement of the charity’s current portfolio of high-value individual donors, trusts and corporate partners. You’ll also work directly with Programme Managers to create compelling new funding proposals to pitch to new partners.

To be successful in the Head of Fundraising role, you’ll need:

• Experience managing a relationships with high-networth-individuals, corporates and trusts and foundations, taking a relationship-led approach.
• Experience of researching new prospective donors and writing and pitching of funding proposals.
• Ability to work proactively and independently to drive growth in an organisation
• An eagerness to develop your management experience
