The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a specialist UK charity which provides expert care and support for refugees and people seeking asylum who have experienced extreme human cruelty such as torture or human trafficking. We work with hundreds of clients every year from all over the world. HBF delivers a specialist Model of Integrated Care that addresses the complex needs and vulnerabilities of survivors. Through the Model of Integrated Care, the HBF offers survivors access to an individually tailored programme of specialist psychological care and medical advisory services, legal protection including providing expert medico-legal documentation, welfare and housing support, and creative and skills activities within an integration programme. Where someone is a survivor of human trafficking they benefit from HBF’s counter-trafficking programme of support. The Foundation’s expertise is renowned in the field.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Client Services Team which operates within HBF’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary team. The duties of Client Services Administrator are two-fold 1) is to host our busy reception area and friendly waiting room; welcome clients and visiting professionals to the Helen Bamber Foundation and attend to any needs they might have and 2) to oversee the booking of appointments between clients and staff/volunteers across the organisation; liaising with third parties and clinicians in relation to Initial Assessments; booking and managing doctor’s diaries for our Medical Advisory Services and the booking of interpreters across the organisation. You will be at the heart of an exciting team of experts, working as the face of HBF and the first point of contact for both external and internal queries.  You will be a self-motivating team player, organised, efficient and have a compassionate mind-set.

The role will work closely with the other person in post as Client Services Administrator and jointly manage the workload. The role also includes assistance and general facilities support to the Senior Operations and HR Coordinator.

The Role
Work with the Individual Giving Manager, Fundraiser (Individual Giving) and wider fundraising team to administer donor support communication.

Administering the individual giving fundraising programme with support from the wider team.

This role is managing a shift delivering emotional support to those in mental health crisis, face to face and over the telephone through our helpline.

About the Service

Our Nightlight Service (Cafés, Helpline, 24/7 Crisis House and Daylight provision) is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.

We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To provide an alternative pathway to people in distress and crisis to support better outcomes and reduce the demand on statutory crisis services and emergency services.
• At the Crisis Cafes we promote and enable people to access support in a way that suits them, whether that’s through talking to someone or simply by providing a safe space to have time alone or engage with trained staff.

About the Role

Alongside other Crisis Cafe Coordinators, you will be a key member of the Crisis team, providing effective operational leadership delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Café and Helpline Service. You will be ensuring the delivery and development of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision. You will provide management support to Crisis Café and Helpline Mental Health Support Workers and volunteers and support the Crisis Café Team Leader in ensuring practice within the service is safe, effective and person centred.

About the role 

This is a new role and sits in the Fundraising and Digital Directorate. The Tree Equity for Hartlepool project marks the first town-wide approach in the UK to address low Tree Equity scores across an entire urban area. This multi-partner project, led by Trees for Cities, will work across planting, engagement and awareness raising of the urban forest. 

Working with Hartlepool Borough Council, Trees on Tees Community Forest, The Woodland Trust, Thirteen Group housing association and Treeconomics, this partnership brings together major local landowners alongside national tree specialists to deliver a programme of work over two years - and is seeking a Project Community Coordinator to drive the work forward.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Project Community Coordinator, you will be responsible for bridging this flagship work to the community and connecting residents in Hartlepool with their urban forest. This will include leading engagement activities with residents across the town, aiming to inspire residents to plant, protect and promote urban trees. You will lead outreach and volunteer activities, working closely with project partners to coordinate and deliver tree planting and educational workshops, public tree planting events and other activities.

The role will involve a mix of office-based and outdoor work and requires a confident, well-organised and friendly individual who can both confidently lead workshops and act as a spokesperson for the charity and urban forestry with the local community. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with volunteers, and this will be key to success, ensuring the project gets the results the community needs.

You will work under the steer of the Project Manager and be the face of both the project and Trees for Cities in the local and Tees Valley area.

As Trees for Cities looks ahead to its next strategic period, this project is a key flagship piece of work, and the role will be required to represent the partnership and associated work being done. In delivering a successful project, the case will be made for addressing low Tree Equity scores at the local and national level, influencing decision makers to best support urban forestry. 

This project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

In 2024, Tower Hamlets received Trailblazer funding to develop and implement new models of community-based mental health care that integrate clinical and voluntary sector provision, in line with  The Community Mental Health Framework.

The Tower Hamlets Mental Health Alliance (THMHA) was formed two years ago to create a bold new community-based mental health support service for Tower Hamlets residents. THMHA consists of 18 Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise Sector (VCFSE) service providers that have come together in partnership. Alongside THMHA members, Look Ahead, and East London Foundation Trust, we are implementing a new community-based, 24/7 mental health care system that prioritises the tailored needs of individuals facing mental health challenges. The Church Engagement team sits within the External Engagement Department, which covers areas including communications, publications and resources, press and media, digital content and marketing, fundraising appeals, church engagement, events and volunteers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will allow you to make a real difference to the lives of millions of people in the Middle East and North Africa.  You will help to manage, maintain and increase income and engagement through the following key responsibilities:

·Work with the team to implement strategies for growing key areas of income and engagement with churches and individuals, maintaining prospect lists, communicating with churches to resource and increase engagement.

·To manage, motivate and support a diverse team in different geographical locations and working patterns.

·To assist with delivering the church partnership and media projects programme, inviting church leaders and churches to join, helping research, prepare and send project proposals, reports and associated resources.

·To analyse current church giving patterns and identify pathways to increase engagement, levels and forms of giving (including individual giving in conjunction with other team members).

·Support with high-level giving church relationships and work with the Engagement Officer to mobilise ambassadors and volunteers within churches to encourage prayer for the MENA and church giving.

·Oversee SAT-7’s presence at events and conferences to maximise opportunities for engagement and increased reach with existing and new supporters.

·To assist with identifying current and future engagement resources to inspire and mobilise supporter churches and wider opportunities with denominations and Christian networks.

·Lead regular one to ones and promote the process of SAT-7 UK’s personal development plans for team members throughout the year e.g. conducting appraisals and mid-year reviews.

Shades is a racial justice and faith project that supports schools and churches to be a place of belonging and flourishing for everyone. The project’s activities enable schools and churches to create a safe space for dialogue and learning, empowering children, young people and adults to celebrate diversity, champion difference and put love into action as modelled through the life of Jesus.

The project aims to develop discipleship pathways for children, young people and their families, enabling them to grow in their Christian faith and to belong to a thriving church community. 

In response to the exciting growth of the Shades Project, they are looking to appoint three Shades Schools Worker to support the growing opportunities for Christian discipleship, and to embed the Shades ethos in primary and secondary schools and parishes across their diocese.

About the Roles

• Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time) – flexible options negotiable
• Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
• Location: Home-based with regular travel
• Contract: 2 years with possible extension dependent on funding

Saferworld is looking for a Project Manager to lead the Women, Peace & Security (WPS) Helpdesk within the Conflict Advisory Unit (CAU). In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our UK government call-down service, providing high-quality advisory support to donors, UN agencies, NGOs, and other humanitarian and peacebuilding actors. Your responsibilities include managing project implementation and grant administration, coordinating call-off requests from initiation to completion, and working with teams of experts to ensure the highest quality outcomes.

In addition to maintaining rigorous standards of confidentiality and performance, you will collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial and narrative reporting. You will also be responsible for promoting and supporting the uptake of helpdesk outputs by regularly updating our online repository. Liaising with UK government departments and officials is a critical part of the role, as it involves generating demand for our advisory services and representing the helpdesk in outreach and strategic engagements.

You will work under the direction of the CAU Team Lead while supporting strategic oversight on WPS initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to gender-sensitive conflict and security policies and to advance Saferworld's mission and vision.

Heritage of London Trust (HOLT) restores the buildings and monuments that tell the story of the city and the people who live within it. Founded over 40 years ago, our mission is to rescue characterful and neglected historic sites all across the city. We focus on sites at risk in areas of least investment - in local communities that most need our help - ensuring a sustainable future for every project we work on. To date, we have restored 850 sites across London.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive project manager with a passion for London’s built heritage. The Head of Projects will oversee the delivery of our restoration projects across the capital, ensuring they meet our high standards and achieve maximum public benefit.

The role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of restoration projects, from initial research and site identification to overseeing conservation work and successful project completion. Importantly, you will work closely with local authorities, conservation experts and community organisations to influence and build local commitment to conservation projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee heritage restoration projects from inception to completion.
• Identify at-risk historic sites and develop a pipeline of new projects.
•  Manage budgets and project timelines, ensuring successful and efficient delivery.
• Build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to support project success.
• Select and collaborate with contractors, conservators, and heritage specialists.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and adherence to project specifications.
• Report on project outcomes and key learnings to the Director and Board of Trustees.
