The London Programme Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to seven partner schools, attending and coordinating weekly tutoring sessions, developing relationships with pupils, school staff and volunteer tutors and collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring sessions to ensure effective and impactful programme delivery.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage and effectively communicate with all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; leading weekly face to face and online tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
- Responsible for overseeing the quality of both face to face and online tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers.
- Update and maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and end of programme surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators.
Qualifications and experience criteria:
- Experience working with volunteers and/or young people
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Evidence of ability to prioritise and manage administrative tasks

Salary: £26,368 + £2,271 London weighting per annum

About the Role
The Programmes Coordinator will promote and deliver successful activities based around Depaul’s national Programmes strategy in the North East region. The focus of this role is to organize and deliver progression opportunities for people, supporting them to realise their ambitions in education training, volunteering or employment.
This will be achieved with the support of volunteers recruited from both the local community and Depaul’s young people (clients), working flexibly across the North East team. The coordinator will be brokering and supporting internal (Depaul based) activities and external (community-based) progression opportunities for young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness across the North East team.
The role will also ensure young people’s voices are heard at every level. Your work will be underpinned by the Depaul Endeavour model of assets-based, psychologically informed delivery, the aim of which is to ensure that every client leaves a Depaul service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

· Organise, promote and deliver sessions and programmes to support people in education, training, volunteering or employment outcomes.
· Promote and deliver the AQA Unit Award Scheme to people to support their progression.
· Promote and support the awarding of Depaul’s internal grants to people to enable their progression.
· Develop and deliver partnerships with organisations who can support Depaul clients in their progression into ETE and volunteering.
· Design, deliver and ensure a range of training opportunities are delivered.

About the FCLP
upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP) is a graduate programme combining delivery work (supporting our Associates) with exposure to a range of aspects of charity management.
As a Programme Coordinator on the FCLP you will be delivering personalised employment-focused support to a cohort of approximately 80 Associates, helping transform their lives by equipping them with the necessary skills to secure a top graduate job. During a typical week, you should expect to be working across a range of projects including 1:1 undergraduate coaching, group workshops, webinars (we refer to them as Video Forums), partnership management (both with university partners or employer partners) and more!
In addition to this, the programme offers the opportunity to develop skills in key areas of charity management by participating in 3 rounds of six-month rotations. After your initial 18 months and the completion of 3 six-month rotations, you will have the opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship to further develop your leadership skills.
Throughout the programme, you will receive dedicated internal training developing your leadership skills building your confidence in the role.
Through our partnership with The Circle Line, you will be part of a supportive peer group, offered regular personal development training workshops online and in-person on their '12 Tools for Life'. You will also be able to choose your own practitioner to support you with 1:1 sessions throughout the programme to help you unlock more of your unique potential.
What will I be doing?
The FCLP is a fast-paced but rewarding role. Programme Coordinators spend 80% of their time (4 days per week) working directly with associates to enhance their career knowledge and skills and 20% (1 day per week) on a charity management rotation (or an apprenticeship after 18-months). No two days are the same, but your responsibilities may include:

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities
This is an excellent opportunity to take on an exciting role within the Humanitarian Team of the Programme & Policy Department/Programme Management Team.
We are looking for someone with a good understanding of policies and practices managing projects with the FCDO and DEC. A good grasp of programme and financial management combined with an ability to provide distance support to Country Offices and partners.

About you
The team is looking for a talented individual to support our portfolio projects through excellent contract and finance management. You will have knowledge of donor compliance and donor reporting and will provide integrated programme delivery, contract, and compliance expertise throughout the project cycle: from implementation plan set up to reporting and close out. Role overview
The Senior Programme Manager will lead our delivery team and work closely with the Partnership Manager to ensure that we’re designing and delivering mentoring projects that meet our partner objectives. The postholder will line-manage key staff in the delivery team, delegate programme activity and oversee quality across our portfolio. The postholder will be accountable for engagement across our portfolio and for ensuring we meet targets and key performance indicators set by our partners for project outcomes.
The postholder will also lead the delivery of Brightside Mentoring, our London based mentoring project that’s currently funded until 31 December 2025. This will involve leading the ongoing design of the project as we learn from each cohort, recruiting young people to take part from across our London networks and reporting to the funder on project progress. Our ideal candidate will therefore be based in or around London, as frequent travel will be required.
Responsible for (our partner portfolio)
- Overseeing project deliverables across our portfolio, ensuring tasks are delegated across the team and that deadlines are met
- Chairing weekly delivery team meetings to stay on top of project launches, delivery updates and upcoming evaluations
- Ensuring that roles and responsibilities for project delivery are clear across the delivery team
- Collaborating with the Partnership Manager to manage our approach to risk across the portfolio
- Collaborating with the Data and Insight Manager to ensure recommendations and learning are embedded into future projects
- Monitoring quality in our project delivery, and developing systems to do this efficiently
- Managing our training calendar, ensuring that mentor and mentee training sessions are staffed as required

- Attending recruitment events across London, working with contacts in and beyond our network to recruit young people

- Ensuring that all volunteers are trained and DBS-checked before participating

ABOUT THE ROLE
The post holder will work with the Director and the Programme Manager of Democracy Classroom to support the growth of the Democracy Classroom network by managing the website / platform. They will:
- Liaise with partners to compile learning resources and training opportunities to share on the platform.
- Add resources, training opportunities and other relevant information to the platform as required.
- Ensure the platform is kept up to date and accessible.
- Support Democracy Classroom communication channels - producing Democracy Classroom newsletters and creating engaging social media content to highlight the work of partners, their learning resources and training opportunities, on the platform.

- Coordinate training for teachers and youth workers to deliver election education materials.

You will support the coordination team in delivering a series of events throughout the year, including our longest-running programme, the Bar Mock Trial Competition, which involves 22 events over six consecutive weeks in November. You will contribute directly to our mission by leading the delivery of our school events programme. This includes responsibility for all aspects of event planning, delivery, and management, partner and volunteer development and management, audience development and evaluation, and events budgeting.
