Role purpose

This is an exciting new role in the team which will support the growth of the Retention programme by supporting on the delivery of campaigns and supporter journeys (including ShelterBox Book Club), and helping to optimise the processes, systems and ways-of-working across the team.

The successful candidate will join a supportive and vibrant team in our mission to deliver best-in-class donor experiences and grow unrestricted income, inspiring UK individuals to become long term supporters of ShelterBox. Reporting to the Retention Manager this post will work flexibly across the Retention Team, working with the Retention Officer and Book Club Coordinator to deliver engaging supporter experience to our existing individual supporters.

Over the coming year ShelterBox is transitioning to a new CRM system (Dynamics 365), and the job holder will be involved in supporting team SMEs with set-up and user-testing the relevant functionalities on the new system, including configuration of campaigns and supporter journeys.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a talented, well-organised individual with an interest in international aid, and who is keen to develop their fundraising experience.

The successful candidate will be practically-minded and methodical with great attention to detail – and ideally have a creative touch. They will be confident bringing their skills to a range of different tasks and projects.

They will be an able project manager, have excellent communication and numerical skills and be able to manage their varied workload to tight deadlines.

This role will suit someone who is keen to learn and is a natural communicator that can create meaningful relationships across the organisation as well as with external suppliers.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

· Proofing support with appeal copy and artwork, campaign and Book Club emails and our supporter engagement magazine.

· Working with the Retention Officer to create and update campaign reviews.

· Create engaging thank you letters for our appeals and engagement activities.

· Work alongside the Retention Manager to develop our existing supporter journeys. Creating new content where necessary and working with internal and external stakeholders to implement journey processes.

· Lead on the gift aid digital journey. Creating emails and landing page copy.

· Working alongside the Website team to create appeal page content, including creating relevant CRM coding, ensuring seamless integration with our CRM and reporting systems.

· Help develop fundraising materials by sourcing impactful photos and case studies from our internal asset library.

· Support the team with the transition to our new CRM system in 2025. Including user guide testing, journey creation etc.

· Be part of the data checking team, reviewing outgoing data files before they go to our print partners.

· Assist in the delivery of major disaster appeals.

- Supporting the delivery of reactivation, upgrade and engagement campaigns across Book Club and traditional audiences.

· Assist in Book Club social media content planning and creation, as well a community page moderation.

· Supporting with Book Club inbox.

· Supporting with ad hoc Book Club admin tasks.

· Working with the Book Club Coordinator and our Book Club volunteers to deliver virtual events and face-to-face club meetups for the Book Club community.

- Handle administrative tasks such as organising meetings, taking minutes and following up on agreed actions – ensuring that project documents, and plans are kept up to date.

· Ensure that Retention and Book Club invoice and PO logs are kept up to date.

· Keep up to date with developments in the fundraising sector, particularly in relation to best practice.

· Any other duties as deemed necessary to support the Retention team, including some out of office working hours during high profile disasters.

This is an exciting new role and part of planned significant investment into a longstanding and prestigious community based youth organisation. The successful candidate will coordinate youth work over multiple locations and will have the opportunity to develop a range of programmes and interventions. The post comes with a training budget and external supervision options.

The Harrow Club is a community-based youth organisation offering innovative, accessible and high-quality opportunities, enabling young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to maximise their life chances. Key Responsibilities

Person Specification - Qualifications and Skills

-JNC Professionally qualified Youth Worker with Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., social work, youth development, education) or equivalent practical experience.

-Proven experience working with young people in a youth club, community centre or similar setting.

-Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices.

-Excellent communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills.

-Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.

As Team Administrator for the Children and Young People’s Engagement Team, you will be responsible for providing vital administrative support to a dynamic team working with children, young people and parents all over the UK.

The Team Administrator will provide administrative or logistical support to different team projects, working groups, committees, events or activities. This will also include supporting the finance functions for the Team and managing purchase orders, invoices and expenses and supporting the project teams by drafting and preparing documents. In addition you will ensure all phone and email queries are answered, using clinical experts and team colleagues for advice if necessary.

You will also be responsible for planning, coordinating and communicating online/face to face project or programme meetings and activities with the support of the project managers, coordinator and youth voice advisors.

Reporting to the Head of Children, Young People & Engagement, this is a varied role in which you will have the opportunity to support the work of different engagement projects through assisting and disseminating project reports, joining sessions with children and young people across the year, and the managing of project materials.

Educated to a good standard you should have extensive administrative experience or skills and have well-developed experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications along with proven proof reading and minute taking abilities.

With demonstrable interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, you should have the ability to coordinate several projects concurrently whilst having excellent report writing skills, being able to present information in a fluent and persuasive manner to people at a range of levels.

Experience of problem solving, identifying solutions and setting up new systems or mitigations in relation to complex and dynamic administrative activities is essential.

Knowledge of website maintenance and social media experience would be desirable, as would a background of working in direct delivery teams, supporting those who work with children and young people.

The Administrator role offers the opportunity to work closely with those in the field of child and youth engagement, youth volunteering and children’s rights. In this role you will start to gain knowledge of children’s rights and what matters to children and young people within child health by actively participating in the Children and Young People’s Engagement Team’s programme of activities, helping us achieve our aims.

There will be occasional evening and weekend sessions/events throughout the year where you will also be required to attend to support the event.

The Communications Intern is a member of the Development and External Affairs team. Their key focus is enabling impactful content production and championing high communications standards. The comms intern will report to the Communications and Publicity Manager and will support the development of a consistent and effective brand story that engages and unites both our external and internal audiences.

4. Daylight – short term, outreach support

This role is leading a team of coordinators and support workers to provide excellent support within a small 4 bed crisis centre in Hemel Hempstead, which is a short stay provision, usually 3 or 4 nights, to provide;

• emotional support
• support to develop coping strategies, support plans and safety plans
• ensuring robust discharge plans in place for on-going support

Key Accountabilities

• On occasion, provide emotional support, advice, signposting, assessing risk, support planning for clients in mental health crisis often where risks are significant.
• Overseeing and ensuring the delivery of appropriate needs and risk assessments and support planning for clients.
• Liaise with statutory agencies to ensure appropriate intervention is obtained.
• Organising a rota to ensure appropriate service cover is in place at all times across the Nightlight Crisis Centre provision.
• Contribute to an on-call service, on rotational basis, usually every 8 weeks, taking calls outside of 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday providing staff support.
• Representing Nightlight and wider HMN at external meetings, and network locally to develop contacts, services and raise Herts Mind Network’s profile.
• Manage budgets, expenses, payroll as well as facilities needed for the centre
• Supporting the Crisis manager with developing and ensuring ongoing positive relationship with external NHS, local authority and emergency services including Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams, Single Point of Access, Safeguarding Out of Hours Service, Mental Health Liaison Teams, Adult Community Mental Health Services etc.
• Provide management support to Crisis Centre Coordinators and support the Crisis Manager in ensuring practice within the service is safe, effective and person centred, as well as supporting the implementation of strategic service plans.

The role 

In this role you will support the Corporate Partnerships Manager and Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to develop and deliver fundraising initiatives that will support existing corporate partners and securing new gifts. Your responsibilities will include the day-to-day account management of existing corporate partners, new business development and the co-ordination of our payroll giving program. This will include research, prospect development, donor cultivation & stewardship, verbal & written presentations and all associated administration.   Additionally, you will contribute to projects within the philanthropy & partnerships team such as events and webinars; and the wider fundraising team to collaborate on prospect development, funding opportunities and volunteering.

About you

You will be an excellent communicator, both orally and written, who is confident in speaking with supporters. You will manage your own pipeline of donors, so will need to take initiative, prioritise and organise your own work, with limited supervision to achieve deadlines for multiple tasks. Agile decision making and problem-solving skills are essential.

You may have fundraising experience, but this is not essential if you have sales experience. 

You will have:

- Excellent customer service skills with a background in fundraising or sales.
- Experience in new business development including identifying, researching and contacting cold prospects.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present ideas creatively and persuasively.
- Strong administrative, planning and prioritisation skills with keen attention to detail.

The International Programmes Department delivers our work across Africa and South Asia focusing on quality programming including advocacy, learning and documentation.

About the Role:

The Senior Manager will manage a process through which Country Programmes (CPs) can access the human resources required to deliver their programme and project objectives effectively and efficiently. This will include working closely with CPs and regional offices to diagnose support needs and identify support options available. Additionally, the Manager will be expected to adopt a CP centred approach to decision making on support provisions and to manage an independent mechanism for quality assurance of the support provision to the CPs.

Following a recent Scoping Study and a process of consultation across the organisation about how such a model would work, the procedures and mechanisms within WaterAid that will be required as part of the Advisory and Support Hub model are currently being developed. The Advisory and Support Hub Manager will be required to:

• Manage the process of piloting the model in one selected region, if required.
• Review the lessons learnt from piloting the model and make recommendations on further improvements that may be required.
• Coordinate the roll-out of the model across the organisation.
• Manage the process of requesting, identifying, deploying, and reviewing assignments.

About the Role
