The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join us in the brand new role of Governance and Executive Officer.
You will provide proactive and efficient secretariat and administrative support to the Executive and Non-Executive Teams, working closely with the Leadership Team to support the fulfilment of their day-to-day tasks and strategic objectives.
The role includes supporting and organising meetings and reports, and minuting of executive meetings. In addition to general PA and administrative duties, you will provide a cohesive secretariat function to support the smooth and efficient operation of the Mind THNR Board and its sub-committees.
You will work closely with the Leadership Team to set agendas, monitor action logs, and provide a high level of support to the Board. You will share collective responsibility for supporting the delivery of business objectives, through active engagement and collaboration with colleagues at all levels in the organisation
This role is flexible in terms of days and hours, although you need to attend Board meetings in person, once a quarter in the evening and committee meetings, which are also in the evening, but on line, so three evening meetings a quarter. We are based in a beautiful office in Tower Hamlets, with lots of outside space and a café, so ideally you would be present in the office two or three days a week ( if full time).

About the role:
- With guidance from Senior Employment Lawyer, you will provide support to the HR Advice Team in managing ACAS and Tribunal cases. This includes but is not limited to:
- Managing ACAS early conciliation processes, including securing knowledge of the matter under conciliation, understanding potential claimant expectations, and coordinating with members to provide informed advice on merits and liability, leading to constructive settlement of claims.
- Engaging with ACAS over settlements and drafting COT3 settlement documentation.
- Reviewing new Tribunal claims, identifying legal issues and the necessary steps for an effective defence.
- Liaising with members to gather and verify documentary and verbal evidence, ensuring accurate and comprehensive responses to Tribunal claims.
- Drafting formal responses to Tribunal claims, preparing case management documents for Tribunal preliminary hearings, including agenda forms and draft lists of issues.
- Assisting with advocacy at Tribunal preliminary hearings and preparing document bundles in compliance with case management orders.
- Taking comprehensive witness statements, ensuring they cover all relevant issues and securing timely approval from witnesses for exchange in accordance with Tribunal orders.
- Rigorously monitoring and meeting all Tribunal time limits and orders, and coordinating with witnesses, members, and HR Advice Team members to confirm their availability for hearings.
- Support the team with paid consultancy work, such as conducting investigations into misconduct, interviewing witnesses, collating evidence, and drafting reports.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to prepare and disseminate HR and employment law updates to members, ensuring they are informed of new developments.
- Coordinate with our third-party provider the delivery of Health and Safety services to members, including managing updates, arranging seminars and working with the marketing team to promote services.
- Administer various HR-related forums (CEA Directors, HR Operations, Reward, Wellbeing, DEI, Talent, Health and Safety), including scheduling, agenda setting, maintaining member lists, and fostering member engagement.
- Manage the onboarding process for new HR and H&S package subscribers and administer consultancy business terms of engagement.
- Maintain user licenses for Brightmine and WTW reward databases, manage case records on Salesforce and organise the Shared Drive to provide a centralised source of documentation.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will be enthusiastic about the organisation and its mission, and you will have experience of working at a place-based level, such as within local government, local infrastructure or the community/VCSE sector.
- Educational background in Human Resources, Law, or a related field
- Experience with case management and administrative support in a legal or HR environment.
- Strong understanding of employment law, tribunal procedures and HR practices.

About the Role

Ashinaga UK is seeking a driven and well-organised Partnerships Manager to propel our fundraising efforts, with the goal of advancing the Ashinaga Africa Initiative by securing funding to create new scholarships and opportunities for orphaned youth. This role will play a key part in expanding our impact and supporting the education and leadership development of young leaders from sub-Saharan Africa.
The Ashinaga movement was founded in Japan in the 1960s and has since expanded across the globe, empowering over 110,000 orphaned youth with access to education and support to achieve their full potential. The Ashinaga Africa Initiative was launched 10 years ago with the aim of equipping future leaders for Africa through undergraduate scholarships and leadership development opportunities. Ashinaga UK is proud to be part of this global movement, contributing to the mission of transforming lives and communities through education. Our work is primarily in the UK through collaboration with key university partners and donors.
The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for securing and building funding partnerships, overseeing external communications, and spearheading grant applications. The Partnerships Manager will work closely with the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Managing Director to develop and execute the fundraising strategy.
- Manage existing funding partnerships and establish new relationships to further Ashinaga UK’s mission.
- Secure partnerships with corporations, foundations, individual donors, and UK universities.
- Identify new funding opportunities, cultivate relationships, write proposals, and report on progress.
- Write high-quality grant proposals to secure funding from grant-making bodies.
- Oversee the partnerships database, donor reporting, and contribute to the annual Charity Commission trustee report.

In this role, you will manage the administration of our equipment loan and support grant services, ensuring requests are handled efficiently and swiftly. You'll also liaise with health and social care professionals, branches and groups, and people affected by MND, offering guidance on alternative funding options. By proactively seeking additional funding from branches and groups, you'll ensure our support grants continue to make a difference.
The role involves administrative tasks such as managing payments, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate records. You'll also be responsible for updating databases, sending important correspondence, and ensuring our care resources are well-stocked and available.
Occasionally, you'll help organise internal and external meetings and events, booking venues and handling any necessary equipment and logistics.

Purpose
The Living Wage Foundation has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Project Manager. We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual with the ability to build relationships with employers across the Living Wage network.
The Project Manager will be responsible for driving forward our Living Pension standard. The standard was launched in March 2023, t and is a voluntary savings target independently calculated to provide enough income to meet every day needs in retirement.
The ideal candidate would be a proactive and experienced project manager with outstanding communication skills and a track record of network building. We are looking for someone who will expand Living Pension and grow this new accreditation with Living Wage employers and raise awareness of the standard, particularly in the business community.
The role will also involve working with our programme team to increase their knowledge and skills in the Living Pensions standard, enabling them to generate leads and deliver support and guidance to employers looking to implement a Living Pension for their workforce.

- Develop and execute effective communications strategies to continuously strengthen Bonsucro’s profile, reputation and, as a result, to attract new members and partners
- Develop and manage effective communications tools, channels and partnership with media service providers, to deliver on the agreed communications strategy.
- Develop and implement monitoring processes to assess the effectiveness of Bonsucro’s communications strategies, outputs and channels in order to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Line manage the Communications and Events Coordinator to ensure delivery against plans, timelines and quality work and personal development and growth
- Develop and tailor to stakeholder needs and interest a series of events to contribute to effective member engagement and strengthen Bonsucro’s profile as a convening actor.
- Develop and deliver the Annual Operational Plan for the Communications and Events function in line with organisational quality standards, adapting to changing context and needs where relevant.
Messaging and content
- Tailor Bonsucro’s key messages to targeted audiences and communications (e.g. articles, press releases and statements) in various languages as needed to ensure consistency of communications across channels, regions and media.
- Develop compelling sustainability ‘impact’ stories from regions and projects and on specific sustainability issues to promote Bonsucro’s impact.
Branding and stakeholder guidance
- Advise and build the capacity of other functional teams on how to effectively communicate about Bonsucro, making them aware of key messages and channels to use to increase the impact of Bonsucro’s communications.
- Advise internal and external stakeholders on adherence to brand guidelines to ensure consistency and appropriateness of use.
- Coordinate and monitor services delivered by sub-contractors
- Act as a representative of the company, where relevant, with both internal and external stakeholders.
Channels, reports and events
- Maintain and optimise an effective public facing website and social media presence to continuously strengthen Bonsucro’s external profile and community building.
- Oversee logistics, planning and delivery of key Bonsucro’s events, in particular Bonsucro Global Week.
- Continuously improve and evolve Bonsucro’s external reports (e.g. Outcome report, Annual report etc) to ensure clarity of layout and language and strengthen them as tools to increase Bonsucro’s profile and value back to members.
- Regularly report on operational progress updates to the Director of Engagement and Markets and other teams to identify areas of strengths and continuous improvement.
- Identify, track and monitor appropriate KPIs that assess the effectiveness of the communications strategies and plans and which inform decision-making.
Person Specification
Essential criteria
- Significant prior experience in development and implementation of communications strategies and a full range of media services, ideally in a global context
- Strong technical acumen in relation to all aspects of communications and events delivery
- Previous line-management experience and experience in managing moderate budgets
- Significant experience in writing, editing and publishing compelling content
- Proven ability to translate complex information into engaging campaigns and stories
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills for a range of media (online and print), including the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and simply.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal, written and visual
- Strong time/process management skills and ability to establish priorities and work to deadlines
- High level of communications IT proficiency, covering a range of tools and applications
- Knowledge of and experience in working professionally with online tools and social media
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships across the organisation
- Self-motivation and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment of a small but growing organisation
Desirable Criteria
- Previous exposure to sustainable agriculture commodity programmes.
- Fluency in additional languages, especially Spanish and/or Portuguese
- Significant experience in communications and social media activities in a professional environment
