A function which will become even more important when we enter the second stage of the strategy in 2026, when student voice will become the central strategic focus of the organisation.

Sitting within the broader Student Voice Department (alongside the Advice Team), you would lead a friendly, talented team of four permanent Student Voice Coordinators (SVCs) who together account for all of the Union’s policy, democratic, representation and campaigning work, alongside a part-time member of student staff.

Variety is hard-wired into the role. In addition to overseeing policy and research output, you would be responsible for leading a democratic and governance structure that is so innovative it is currently the source of an international academic study. Accountabilities here would include delivery of our biannual student elections and sector-leading Student Panels.

You would also be responsible for leading on how we support our elected student representatives and campaign groups; and for the Union’s academic representation work.

Given the breadth of work undertaken within the team, expect there to be plenty of opportunities to grow, develop and pick up new skills outside of the main responsibilities of the role.

This role is fast-paced and so you’ll need exceptional organisation and planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once in a calm, effective manner.

The team you will be managing cuts across several areas and contains five people. We’re therefore looking for a confident leader with line management experience who is able to inspire, motivate and develop a talented and ambitious team to reach their full potential.

You will be a kind, supportive leader who cares about the people in their charge, but who also has high standards and that is able to performance manage when needed to ensure the team meets expected standards and delivers expected results.

We are looking for someone with exceptional written and verbal communication skills; an ability to interpret complex information and present it in a concise and accessible manner; and with experience of delivering high quality research and policy output.

With responsibility for leading on several projects, both within the team and cross-organisationally, prior project management experience and knowledge will be important, as will the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

Knowledge or prior experience within Higher Education or the student movement would certainly be an advantage, but is not essential and we very much welcome applications from those outside students’ unions who have transferrable skills and a who possess a willingness to learn.

The new Head of Impact Partnerships (International) role will be responsible for overseeing the expansion of our grantmaking, our research, convening and campaigning work from the UK to our growth regions in the US (Miami, Austin, Las Vegas), Brazil and Italy.  The Head of Impact Partnerships (International) will identify, support and convene our charity partners to deliver a series of high quality, impactful projects that deliver on our mission. In the US, Brazil and Italy, our strategic goals are to support young people from underrepresented backgrounds into STEM careers and to mobilise the global network of motorsport employers to adopt inclusive recruitment and retention strategies. 

Location: Hybrid working part London Office (Islington, London) part home work.  The post holder will work a minimum of 1 day per week in the office. Some out of standard business hours work may be required, including weekends and evening work to facilitate events. 

Salary:  £36,400 per annum

Who we are looking for 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our Special Events Team as Senior Special Events Fundraiser.

We have some exciting events coming up including a reception in October and a high-profile dinner at The Design Museum in November, so we need somebody to come in and hit the ground running. Please note that these events are in the evenings so the role will require some flexibility.

You will work closely with the Head of Special Events to deliver our events, taking responsibility for key elements of the management and delivery of each event and ensuring they meet budget targets. You will collaborate with internal teams on delivering events, including the bi-annual Patrons’ Club Reception and other events that arise over the year.

Relationship building (both externally and internally) is a key part of the role and an integral part of working for JDRF so you will have excellent interpersonal and stewardship skills.

As a highly creative and confident fundraiser, you will be given the scope to develop existing events as well as creating new and innovative events to increase fundraising as well as raising awareness of JDRF. 

Experience required 

You’ll have previous experience of: 

• Managing successful Special Events from concept to post-event evaluation

• Developing event plans and materials

• Building relationships with high level supporters, senior volunteer committees and external suppliers

BEO is a civil rights charity that was set up to challenge and dismantle systemic racism. We work with Black communities by using campaigning, policy and research in conjunction with the law to effect meaningful change. 
Legal services are central to BEO. We are therefore looking for someone of 4yrs PQE who has experience in social welfare, human rights, public and administration law and who seeks an opportunity to use those skills specifically in the area of challenging systemic racism. 

In the last year we have been developing our relationships with partner organisations, ranging from community groups, our stakeholder law firms, NGOs and law firms experienced in equality and discrimination law, to deliver legal services. The role holder will be required to build on and expand these relationships so that BEO can offer quality legal advice to Back communities in the nations and regions across the United Kingdom. 
We are building our internal legal team so that we can provide targeted legal support to Black communities. We are looking for someone to work with the Director of Legal Services and Policy to ensure that high quality legal advice, support and representation are the hallmark of BEO. 

Apart from delivering targeted legal advice and representation and identifying and running strategic litigation cases, the role holder will be required to think creatively to assist in fundraising and campaigning to develop a sustainable legal service. BEO does not have a Legal Aid Agency contract so self funds all legal work. BEO is a small team, so the role holder must have the skills and confidence to work on their own initiative as well as with members of other teams in BEO.

We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated communications professional with significant experience of devising and delivering impactful communications strategies and an impressive track record of effective media work. 

You need to be able to create ambitious, highly strategic plans from scratch and then enjoy rolling up your sleeves and delivering them. On some days, you'll be running brainstorms, writing strategies, commissioning research and devising other impactful interventions to influence the mainstream media narrative on our issues. On other days, you'll be pitching a press release, turning around a reactive line in an hour when a story breaks, or meeting a senior journalist.

You should be someone who loves to think strategically about how to shape the media narrative around complex issues, including identifying influential actors and understanding their agendas. About us 

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it. 

We are now recruiting for a new role in the Resources Team, Crisis at Christmas to support with coordinating the material donations needed to set up and run Crisis at Christmas centres and services. Every year, Crisis at Christmas opens its doors to people who need our support, offering warmth, accommodation, healthcare, food, and specialist advice. Last Christmas we worked with over 6,600 people facing homelessness through our day centres and hotels in London, and Crisis Skylight centres across Britain.

Contract: Fixed term contract from 10 September 2024 to 28 February 2025 

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week. Core working hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, but due to the nature of the project some weekend and evening work may be required.

About the role 

As a Project Coordinator – Resources your role will involve building relationships with current and new corporate donors to ensure we can resource all the required material donations we need to run the Crisis at Christmas centres in London.  Gift in kind donations we require range from food and beverages to clothing, hairdressing equipment and minibuses. This is a varied role that involves researching donors, communicating with large corporate companies, managing volunteers, and running community donations. 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience of customer service and ability to deal with working with partner organisations and donors via phone and email in a professional and friendly manner. 

• Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities  

• Excellent IT skills with experience of using Microsoft Office software, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.   

• Strong problem-solving skills and the adaptability to modify plans in response to unexpected complications.  

• Good communicator who considers their audience and can work efficiently as part of a team.

There are currently 5,000 people living with MND in the UK and the Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by motor neurone disease in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. This position is offered as a 12-month FTC initially and will report to the CRM Project Manager.

As the CRM Business Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing, creating, improving, updating, and implementing business processes that are impacted by the implementation of new CRM & Data Platforms built on Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft PowerPlatform. You will manage and actively implement agreed process improvements, which should include new, effective, and efficient processes and workflows that are compatible with Dynamics 365. You will document and map processes and make recommendations based on solid evidence, with a clear understanding of their impact on the organisation and the ability to follow these through to completion. During implementation, you'll develop a robust user acceptance test programme with case scenarios to ensure processes are thoroughly tested end to end. You will ensure user feedback drives ongoing refinement, ensuring systems are effective and user-friendly. Where relevant, you will recommend further improvements following testing and user feedback. You will prepare training material as required and deliver training sessions and workshops to guide relevant teams in the use of new processes and systems.

To be successful in this role, you will have an excellent understanding of business environments, with proven experience of process improvement and process design in business and/or non-profit organisations. You will have experience of CRM systems, preferably Dynamics 365, together with the ability to challenge the status quo, identify more efficient ways of doing things and redesigning processes for new systems. You should have experience of producing user guides, manuals and/or training materials. You will need excellent research and analytic skills, as well as the ability to think critically. Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our Birmingham office. At the moment the team typically go into the office once a week on a Wednesday. 

The role working hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 - 17:00.

This role will be accountable for shaping and continually improving how we use data within B Lab UK, building tools, processes, policy, skills, and behaviours across the organisation to ensure we are putting data at the heart of our work to allow us to better achieve our mission.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensure data and analytics drive knowledge, insights and context for the organisation

• Drive the continuous improvement and quality B Lab UK’s insight generation tools, ensuring the organisation is enabled to draw insight from internally and externally generated data

• Strengthen our approach to tracking, collecting, and utilising data, focusing on improving analytical efficiency and accuracy, and data quality and integrity.

• Working collaboratively with teams across B Lab UK, design, build and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards and visualisations, providing actionable insights and metrics for the organisation.

• Develop tools and methodologies for measuring, evaluating and reporting impact of B Corps and B Lab UK

• Support the development of policies and procedures around data management, and maintain data security.

• Upskill the wider B Lab UK team in gathering, handling and analysing data

• Work collaboratively with our wider data, research and insight ‘cluster’ across B Lab Europe and B Lab Global to ensure our work is globally aligned and prioritised

Skills and Experience 

Essential

• Practical Experience and knowledge of conducting data analysis and visualising data for critical business decision-making and processes.

• Experience processing, structuring and improving data, and working with a range of digital systems to do this.

• Comfortable working with stakeholders from non-analytical backgrounds, gathering requirements, and translating them into structured analytical questions and approaches.

• Highly data literate with a good working knowledge of data types, the use of basic descriptive statistics (e.g. mean, standard deviation), and how to use data visualisation tools and techniques effectively to communicate insight.

• The ability to work collaboratively across teams, and build strong relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.

• Working knowledge of GDPR and experience of adhering to it.

Desirable

• Experience working with Tableau analytics and data visualisation.

• Experience working with Salesforce reporting and dashboards.

• Experience defining data processes and standard operating procedures.

Salary: £43,200 pro rata (£34,560 per annum for 4 days a week)

Contract: 4-5 days per week (30-37.5 hours), with flexibility over working hours (core hours 10.00-16.00).

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is an exciting role for an experienced campaigner (5-7+ years) to lead the design, development and delivery of a new campaign exposing the food security, environmental, climate, health and human right abuses and global injustice issues linked to the production and use of synthetic fertilisers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Working closely with the Director of Campaigns, the Executive Director and other senior colleagues, lead the design and development of Feedback’s new campaign on industrial, fossil-fuel based agriculture reliant on synthetic fertilisers, formulating robust and striking policy positions and campaign asks that will result in socially equitable outcomes. During your first three months at Feedback you will:

a. Create an internal knowledge base on key aspects of fertiliser production and use based on a comprehensive review of the relevant technical and scientific literature;

b. Conduct supply chain mapping and scoping on corporate structures, ownership and market dynamics;

c. Build a network of allies supportive of our core objectives;

d. Build understanding of the interface between the livestock and fertiliser agendas.

2. Project manage implementation of Feedback’s fossil agriculture/ synthetic fertiliser campaign, which we currently plan to launch at COP29 in Azerbaijan;

3. Undertake research and analysis and produce high quality written campaign materials including reports, briefings, factsheets and open letters;

4. Produce written content for Feedback’s social media channels (e.g. blogs, posts);

5. Monitor key market and political/regulatory developments;

6. Build strategic relationships with journalists and represent Feedback in the media;

7. Engage at senior level with corporate executives and institutional representatives;

8. Represent Feedback at external meetings and conferences to engage and influence decision makers;

9. Participate in civil society coalitions and build a strong and effective network of like-minded organisations supportive of our work;

10.  Commission research and manage external contractors where required;

11.  Track and evaluate campaign impact;

12.  Manage campaign budget and provide updates on campaign highlights to donors as required.

Delivery

• Help to review, update and co-develop health information content for the lupus community in line with our schedule, maintaining a high standard of evidence-based information production, following appropriate criteria for accreditation by professional organisations. • Work with colleagues, healthcare professionals and people with lived experience of lupus to codevelop high quality information resources.

Database and donation management: Be the first point of contact for donors/members; Acknowledge and process all donations including Direct Debits processed twice monthly, liaising with the Finance team to reconcile income.

General Administration: Respond to queries from our supporters; prepare fundraising materials; and, provide support to the wider fundraising team.
