THE ROLE

The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for leading the London team’s overall fundraising strategy and activities. The role requires the postholder to motivate and support their team, and ensure regional and individual fundraising targets are met, in alignment with Islamic Help’s fundraising strategy. This position involves bringing new fundraising opportunities as well as enhancing relationships with existing supporters and donors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with Islamic Help’s objectives and growth plans.
• Identify and prioritise key fundraising programmes and initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Fundraising.
• Lead the fundraising team, providing direction, support, and professional development to ensure high performance and achievement of targets.
• Oversee the planning and execution of large-scale fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives such as tours, treks, lectures, and dinners.
• Innovate and introduce new fundraising approaches and techniques to enhance donor engagement and increase revenue.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and key stakeholders to secure funding and support.
• Develop tailored proposals and presentations for high-value donors and strategic partners.
• Ensure consistent communication and follow-up with donors, providing regular updates and impact reports.
• Foster a positive and motivating environment for volunteers, recognising and rewarding their contributions.
• Develop and manage the fundraising budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Maintain accurate records of fundraising income, pledges, and donor interactions.
• Prepare detailed reports on fundraising performance, including financial outcomes and impact metrics.
• Identify and establish local, national, and international partnerships for joint fundraising initiatives.
• Expand Islamic Help’s capabilities through strategic collaborations, increasing access to expertise, skills, and donor bases.
• Represent Islamic Help at various external events and meetings, acting as an ambassador for the organisation.
• Uphold and promote the values and mission of Islamic Help in all professional interactions.
• Ensure all fundraising activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Continuously improve fundraising processes and practices based on industry best practices and feedback.
• Maintain personal and team health and safety standards, following organisational policies.

The Internal Communications Manager is a pivotal role at the College as you will help develop and shape the College’s internal communication channels to drive information sharing and engagement with the College Strategy and Values for staff.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director for People and Culture, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the employee internal communications plan to inspire, inform and engage employees with clear, consistent messages that align with the College’s mission, values and goals.

About the role

Alongside the Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service.  You will support the Service Manager to manage and ensure the delivery of the service’s key quality and safety priorities by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the residential activity/service. You will also have delegated responsibility for the direct supervision and line management of a team of support workers. As a senior member of the team, you will promote and lead good practice at all times, doing all you can to make sure that the people we support and their colleagues come to no harm and that the people we support are satisfied with the level of support they receive by acting as an exemplary role model.

As a Deputy Service Manager, flexibility is important for both you and for the service.  You will be required to do on-call shifts during out of office hours. You will be expected to work 20% of your total weekly hours on shift across your assigned services and will be able to role model all aspects of a support worker role duties and responsibilities. • You will have knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to adults with learning disabilities, CQC regulations and Health and Safety issues.

• You need good IT skills and experience of maintaining records to be a success in this role.

• You need to hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or hold a level 3 diploma and be willing to undertake this level 5 apprenticeship qualification within an agreed reasonable timescale of 18 months as part of a development plan

• You will have the ability to lead and manage people and be a role model in all aspects of people leadership especially performance

People Management

- Be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operations relating to the people side of retail.
- Ensure the shop team and volunteer relationship is a professional and successful one
- Act as the first point of contact for the volunteer administrator in relation to volunteering matters and queries for retail.
- Effectively communicate any relevant information to all shop teams regarding updates, charity activities, incentives, and performance.
- Work closely with management and employees to embed changes and ensure solutions are realistic and sustainable.
- Be able to work closely with the retail management team including the retail sales manager to ensure the people side of the charity is not impacting sales.
- Overseeing the retail portfolio sickness and absence management including allocation and approval of annual leave throughout the year, forward planning contingency strategies ensuring shops are covered all the time even at short notice. Ensuring staffing hours do not exceed there’re banding allocation.
- Be competent in assisting with grievances, supporting with investigations and assisting with disciplinaries.
- Act as deputy safeguarding lead as and when required. Be able to act in an advisory capacity demonstrating a higher level of experience and understanding when dealing with safeguarding issues that arise.
- Be responsible for overseeing and leading with probation placements across our retail sites, acting as point of contact and ensuring that the relevant paperwork is up to date including the risk assessments for each placement.

People Development

- Ability to mentor and support staff through regular one to ones ensuring that they feel fully equipped to achieve optimum success in their work.
- Collaboratively with the HR team review and update the volunteer induction and training programme ensuring all aspects are relevant to the retail portfolio.
- Support staff with capability and performance issues including the management of their own staff issues such as, sickness, disciplinary, grievances and concerns through probation periods.
- Work closely with the retail management team on the delivery of innovative and interactive internal and external training to help staff develop their skill sets and achieve career satisfaction.

Recruitment & Onboarding

- Work closely with HR developing and implementing strategies to improve recruitment, attracting suitable staff, and retaining them.
- Ensure suitable and sufficient coverage of volunteer support in the retail portfolio.
- Lead on the recruitment of new staff members, being able to assist shop managers in developing better teams and building strong foundations in line with the people strategy and recruitment and selection policy.
- Ensure that new staff members are fully trained and placed in a suitable training store.
- Monitor and track performance throughout staff probation periods alongside the retail sales manager.

Quality Assurance Manager (Clinical Trials)

The Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre (ICNARC) is a small, independent, nationally and internationally respected, scientific, not-for-profit organisation (c60 staff), that uses accurate data to help improve the quality of critical care through audit, research and education, conducted with and in the interests of patients and those who care for them.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager to join an innovative and independent Clinical Trials Unit (UKCRC fully registered) and help to deliver high-quality research in a unique and challenging setting. You will be key to helping us to successfully set-up and deliver an exciting new adaptive platform trial in paediatric intensive care as well as and helping our unit adapt ahead of conducting a phase II drug trial in critically-ill adults. You will ensure best practice, identify risks and mitigation strategies enhance local Standard Operating Procedures, interpret regulatory and audit requirements and provide guidance, training and support for clinical researchers and trial teams. The post will also involve leading in audits along with preparation for MHRA inspections.

What you will need to succeed

The Applicant must have clinical research experience and experience of conducting managing, auditing or monitoring according to the principles of Good Clinical Practice. A sound knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines, the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research, the Data Protection Act and the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations 2004 and its amendments is essential.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, team working and organisational skills together with a high level of attention to detail. They must be able to work independently with a strong problem-solving ability. The ability to relate to and communicate clearly, sensitively and effectively with people from a variety of professional and personal backgrounds are also essential.
