You will also ensure that IT policies and procedures comply with industry standards, including GDPR, Charity Commission requirements, and data security guidelines.
To succeed in this role, you will have a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with extensive experience in senior IT management, with a focus on infrastructure, security, and project management. You will possess sound knowledge of IT governance, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR) and have experience with cloud platforms, network infrastructure, and database management. Exceptional communication skills will be essential, enabling you to convey complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Our prior Program Manager has moved up to the role of Chief Programs Officer on our executive team. The Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program is a twice-a-year intensive training program enabling cohorts of 8-16 exceptionally talented international entrepreneurs and nonprofit professionals to launch outstandingly cost-effective, evidence-based new nonprofits in the space of two months.
The program chiefly consists of a twice-annual sequence.

The Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program team chiefly consists of ~two FTE preparing and running the program and interacting regularly with the recruitment team (for finding and selecting the ideal program candidates), the research team (for selecting and adapting the ideal charity ideas for the program participants), and the operations team (for supporting the incubated projects immediately upon launch through the program). ABOUT YOU
The role is most suitable for a mid-level professional (3-5+ years of experience) with a background in running programs or nonprofit organisations. An ideal candidate may bring experience in launching and implementing new or early-stage programs or in conducting earlier stage intervention research or monitoring & evaluation work, particularly in LMIC contexts. APPLICATION PROCESS
Our application processes aim to be highly predictive, time-effective, and informative for you. Overview
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time and the ability to capture, transport and store or utilise carbon dioxide will be crucial to ensure a sustainable, competitive and equitable transition to a climate neutral Europe.
The CCSA is the trade association accelerating the commercial deployment Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (or CCUS) through advocacy and collaboration. Our ambition is to see CCUS developed and deployed at the pace and scale necessary to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 and deliver sustainable growth across regions and nations. We represent a wide variety of organisations with an interest in the development and deployment of CCUS across many applications to decarbonise heavy industries, power, and hydrogen production, and remove carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere.
The CCSA operates as a not-for-profit company, overseen by a board of elected members. We have 20 staff across our London & Brussels office. We turnover around £3m. Our income comes from membership fees from our 125 members and sponsorship at our conferences.
The CCSA has grown by 100% over the past few years, as we have grown in profile and impact supporting the developing industry across Europe. For maximum impact we have focused on delivery, however, we are now looking at enhancing some of our internal systems including our finances. We have a UK registered company and a Belgium registered company, external accounts and bank accounts for each but with no dedicated internal finance resource. We do have some support from an outsourced finance manager via our landlord, we anticipate this would continue, at least initially. In terms of accounting packages, we use Xero in the UK and Yuki in the Belgium office.
The role
We are a dynamic organisation looking for our first part-time finance manager. We have put some structures and processes in place using a finance consultant, but we are looking for somebody that will enjoy improving finance processes and helping make things easier for our teams in both offices. The role will be a stand-alone finance role without any admin support, so we are looking for a self-starter who works independently and is both strategic and operational and won’t mind invoicing/chasing debt.
The role will be managed by the Head of Membership, but will work closely with the CEO and other members of the senior leadership team.
Responsibilities
Finance management
- Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including reconciliation across both UK and BE offices accounting systems and comparing the forecast out-turn for the year against budget
- Assisting with the preparation of the finance update for the quarterly board meeting working with our two external accounting firms
- Cash monitoring and reporting
- Working with senior managers to produce an annual budget
- Supporting the CEO with documents/reporting for the quarterly Board and Finance and Risk Committee meetings.
- Develop and enhance the CCSA’s finance processes and systems, especially using tech solutions
- When required liaise with the external auditors, ensuring that timescales are communicated and agreed, and the auditors’ requirements are met to ensure timely completion of their work
Finance operations
- Preparation and sending of sales invoices (c200 a year) and chasing aged debt
- Oversight of bill payments and expenses
- Process and post month-end journals
- Running the monthly UK and maybe BE payroll including liaising with payroll providers
- Ensuring payroll taxes, VAT and other taxes are filed and settled on time.
- Act as a point of contact with accountants, banks, service providers, and suppliers
- Provide finance support to the wider staff team
- Other ad hoc finance/operations duties as required
About you

Location/hours
This is a part-time role of 2.5 days a week (18.75 hours) and we are flexible as to how these are spread over the week. We operate a flexible, hybrid policy in both offices and for this role the successful candidate could spend 1 day a week in our comfortable London office near beautiful St James Park, SE1, or a remote role based in the UK, with quarterly trips to the London office. There may also be the occasional requirement to travel to our Brussels office a couple of times a year, to deal with any in-person finance compliance/banking issues. The hospice’s mission is to provide the highest standards of individualised care for people with life-limiting conditions, palliative and end of life care needs, and their families, living in Basildon and Thurrock districts.
This is a full-time, permanent position paying a salary of £29,612.93 to £38,412.80 per annum depending on experience. The role is based at their site in Thurrock, Essex.
The Supporter CRM and Data Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of the hospice’s supporter data and income operations strategy and developing annual delivery plans, including strategic planning and management of the Fundraising team’s supporter CRM, data insight and income operations function. You will develop, manage and review processes and procedures for all fundraising income and data across on and offline platforms and ensure all income and supporter data is processed accurately, in a timely manner and in line with Hospice policies and service level agreements.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of CRM database management and developing and maintaining database processes and procedures. You will have demonstrable experience of working with data for marketing purposes, including effective and compliant handling of communication preferences.

Key Responsibilities
As a Fundraising Compliance Manager, you will take on a varied role including:
- Managing fundraising compliance across telephone and face to face fundraising activities.
- Supporting on wider compliance measure across the Charity.Conducting regular audits and risk assessments of fundraising teams and agencies, providing guidance and training to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Developing and delivering of audit trails of third-party agency activity, including site bookings and fundraiser recruitment. This role will focus on face-to-face fundraising activities.
- Tracking and reporting on complaints and collaborating with the Senior Supporter Relations Care Manager.
- Producing regular reports to share with the Fundraising Leadership Team and Trustees outlining compliance actions and areas for improvement.

The Role
As our Fundraising Manager, you will take on a key role, creating the income we need to undertake our vital work supporting disabled people.
We are looking to further develop and diversify our income streams beyond Trusts and foundation and focus on increasing donations from individuals with an interest in our cause.
Growing our individual supporter base, you will recruit new supporters and build on the excellent foundations laid by our outgoing Community Fundraiser to raise our profile amongst our neighbours.
You will provide outstanding relationship management and donor care to supporters, ensuring they are recognised and thanked for their contribution. Additionally, you will develop and deliver fundraising operational plans, helping to create fundraising materials that encourage and support fundraising potential.
About You
To be considered as our Fundraising Manager, you will need:

I am delighted to be working with a Not-for-Profit organisation, and we are looking for an Associate Head of Policy and Public Affairs to head up the Policy, Public Affairs and Research team on a 6-9 month FTC. With a team of six sitting underneath you, in this short period of time, there will be some key deliverables that the charity will be looking at completing during your contract. This includes passing bills on the Online Safety Act, attending submits and launching a new Policy. Your new role
The successful candidate will:
- Provide direction, leadership and line management for the Policy and Public Affairs team.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the leadership team and across the organisation to contribute to the delivery of the strategy.
- Provide leadership as the charity responds to emerging opportunities and threats affecting children's safety online. This will include formalising interim and final policy positions to address reactive issues.
- Ensuring that the team's policy positions and influencing strategies are evidence based, high quality, impactful and support the strategic ambition to transform the online world so it is safe for children. This will include managing the finalisation and launch of our Generative AI policy position.
- Provide support, guidance and challenge to ensure the team delivers and launches cutting edge policy and research on online safety including risks posed by new and emergent technologies. This includes acting as a sounding board to help shape the team's policy, public affairs and research work.
- Maintain relationships with civil service, parliamentary and civil society stakeholders and leverage these to amplify our policy impact.
- Represent the charity on relevant internal and external advisory groups. This can include deputising for senior colleagues.
What you'll need to succeed
This position is ideal for someone who:
- Solid understanding of the public policy and regulatory opportunities and challenges relating to online safety (ideally, but not a necessity).
- Evidence of strong team leadership skills, with experience of line management and leadership.
- Demonstrable strategic decision-making skills, with experience of weighing up competing options and opportunities to deliver strategic objectives at a senior level in an organisation
- Excellent evidence-based policymaking skills, mixing strong analytical skills with the ability to understand the wider policy context to turn problems into practical, robust policy solutions.
- Experience of analysing, comprehending and responding at pace to complex policy and public affairs developments in a fast-moving external environment
- Experience of managing complex and competing priorities with a strong track record for delivery at speed and under pressure, responding to tight external deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrable experience of successfully building external influencing networks and dealing effectively and persuasively with senior internal stakeholders.
What you'll get in return
This FTC is available on a 6-9 month basis. Ideally, the successful candidate will start sooner rather than later to allow for a cross-over from the current post holder before and after they return from their extended period of leave. The salary is £52,084 - £60,271/annum (inc London weighting). Excluding London, the weighting salary is available upon request. Benefits include: 29 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, competitive pension contribution and salary assurance up to five times your salary.
