About Us: Ashford & Tenterden Umbrella has been providing social support and a safe space to all members of our community for more than 30 years. We have a focus on those who may find themselves in vulnerable situations such as mental health struggles, loneliness, bereavement and learning disabilities.

We offer a free drop-in service open to all, three days a week in central Ashford. Our team is passionate about making a real difference, and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Charity Manager to help us deliver the service to current users and potential new users who may benefit from our service.

Role Overview: As the Charity Manager, you will be at the heart of our organisation, overseeing daily operations, managing resources, and assisting with strategic initiatives. You will report directly to the trustees and you will assist in managing our small team of staff and volunteers to ensure our programmes run smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations at our drop-in service, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all activities. One or more trustees are generally presenta at these sessions and they will provide support during your induction period.
• Assist the Treasurer with budget management, financial planning, and reporting. (No special skills are assumed but a willingness to use or learn some basic MS Excel processes is expected.)
• Assist with recruitment, training, and management of staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Assist with compliance and policy, as it applies to the charity. 
• Updating elements of the charity website from time to time, by changing text and adding images, with support from our external web team. (No specialist skills are expected, but a willingness to gain some skills is expected.)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and the community.
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes, using data to drive improvements and demonstrate impact.

Qualifications:

• Proven management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Computer literate and willing to learns skills in any familiar IT, as required to manage the charity.

Arts Therapies UK (formerly Birmingham Centre for Arts Therapies) has been able to support the mental health needs of Birmingham and the surrounding areas for over 30 years now. However, we have launched an ambitious 5 year business plan to increase our overall delivery by 600%, and our turnover to exceed the £1 million mark. 

Therefore, we are looking for an experienced Corporate and Communities Fundraiser to take the lead in this new role. Working Well Trust is a mental health, learning disability and neurodiverse and employment focused charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, or who have learning disabilities and/or who are neurodiverse through training and employment.

This new role of People Lead will be working with our team to support their employment and wellbeing, as well as providing the key structure and systems to enable the Trust to deliver to our clients and funders.  Over the last couple of years we have expanded and although we are proud of how we support our clients and colleagues it is now clear that we need in-house support to ensure that this continues and to help drive improvements.

The role of Project Administrator is a permanent position. We will consider applications for the role on a full or part-time basis, with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.

The focus of this role is to provide administrative support to HES projects to ensure back-office functions are efficient and timely. You will work across our fuel poverty and retrofit projects supporting project managers and key staff to ensure administrative tasks are completed to a high standard. Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• To sort HES inbound post, ensuring items are passed to the correct team or staff member and coordinate HES outbound post requests, collating and printing information to send to households.
• To coordinate text messages to send to clients who would benefit from our advice services and speak to households by telephone and triage households to appropriate HES projects.
• To book home visits for advisors, keeping calendars up to date with appointments, cancellations and amendments. Accurately completing the home visits risk assessment when required.
• To coordinate events data and bookings across the team and supporting energy advisors with event preparation.
• To coordinate retrofit activity with funders and report back on outcomes and queries, managing 8+ retrofit staff diaries and keeping them up to date with appointments, cancellations and amendments.
• To record client details and follow HES team guidance documents to assess the help and support needed. Ensuring to update our client databases and other contact management systems accurately.
• Support the internal training programme, making sure evaluations are completed and booking inductions for new starters.

About you

As a Supporter Services Officer you’ll be part of a busy team delivering an outstanding multi-channel contact service to Practical Action’s existing and potential supporters and donors. You will have a passion for people and will always be looking to go the extra mile to help others.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Supporter Relationship Management

• To provide the best possible experience for our supporters, at all points of contact, including email, phone and postal channels.
• To keep informed and up to date about all relevant activities of Practical Action in the countries of operation, retaining and managing information needed to respond to supporters.
• To make outbound telephone calls and emails as required to new supporters, follow up queries, verify details or thank donors, acting as an ambassador for Supporter Services and Practical Action at all times.

Income Processing / Database Management

• To deal with incoming and outgoing post, all donations made online via the Practical Action website and other charitable giving platforms, ensuring all donations are handled accurately and in line with agreed procedures.
• To process cash donations effectively and accurately onto our database. 
• To produce and send out letters of acknowledgement to supporters, personalising these communications appropriately.
• To set up Direct Debits/Standing Orders, handle upgrades and other changes to committed gifts, issuing appropriate communications to supporters.
• To accurately process and commit Direct Debit claims.
• To manage Gift Aid on supporter records. This will include setting up new declarations, ending and cancelling declarations and sending out notifications to supporters.
• To deal with new supporters’ welcome communications.
• To liaise with supporters regarding cancellation of donations.
• To update supporter information on the database such as personal details, communication preferences, and other indications of interest or activities to ensure that all our donor information is up to date.
• To undertake manual data entry where required, and to work to avoid the need for duplication of data entry, and ensure automation where possible.
• To pull information required, download and process third party donations ensuring that they are compliant with GDPR.

Compliance

• To keep abreast of all legislation relating to charitable giving such as PCI DSS, Institute of Fundraising guidelines and best practice, Data Protection and Gift Aid Regulations.
• To ensure data is managed to appropriate standards of data protection and security.
• To be aware of and consistently using organisational policies and procedures

Team Working

• To undertake and participate on projects as directed by the Supporter Experience Manager.
• To work closely with the team to review and improve practices and procedures, implementing positive changes and improving efficiency.
• To contribute to organisational meetings e.g. Stand Up, team away days etc.
• To be proactive in joining cross functional working groups.
• To work closely with the finance and fundraising teams to ensure that all processes are working to the highest standard.
• To undertake other tasks that may be reasonably requested by the Supporter Experience Manager and Head of Supporter Experience and Digital.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

• Relevant experience in a customer or supporter service environment with experience of processing financial transactions and using a CRM database.
• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Mathematics

 About the role

As the Hospital Based Youth Worker, you will be supporting young people, aged 11-19, presenting at UCLH emergency department or who are inpatients within various areas of the hospital for whom there are safeguarding or there psycho-social support needs identified. The work with young people will be primarily hospital based, but you will also support some young people for longer term support in the community. You will engage with and support young people with their immediate needs and connect them with relevant community services for further support. Working in partnership with other professionals you will support young people’s holistic needs to enable long term improvement of healthy behaviours and opportunities to thrive.

To succeed in this role, you need to be proactive, a people person and passionate about supporting young people. You will have extensive experience working with young people who are vulnerable and have a wide range of needs, and a strong understanding of the support they need. You will ideally have a thorough understanding and knowledge of services for young people in Camden and Islington and other London boroughs and both community and local authority-based partners. Resilience, self- reflection and flexibility are all essential to this role and you will participate regularly in clinical supervision to broaden your practice and emotional literacy.

You must also be a skilled communicator: as comfortable building a relationship with a young person as you are liaising with our clinical colleagues in hospital and community-based partners. You’ll be keen to keep learning, seizing training opportunities at Redthread and continuously reflecting upon and improving your practice.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will have complete oversight of ASN, from service delivery to IT system procurement. We don’t expect anyone to be an expert on every part of ASN’s work, but we’re looking for someone with robust relevant experience who is willing to learn from our incredible team.

Rape Crisis England & Wales is the feminist charity working to end sexual violence and abuse across
England and Wales, and is responsible for leading on the 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line, a
telephone and webchat support service covering England and Wales. This role is focussed on supporting
the smooth running of the 24/7 Support Line and ensuring we are delivering the best possible service for
survivors of sexual violence.

Background

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative psychologist to join our warm and friendly team at our Dose of Nature hub in Kew, London. Dose of Nature is in an exciting phase as we continue to receive funding to expand our reach, particularly for young people aged 16 – 25, we are seeking a psychologist with passion for the natural world to support us with the expansion of our young people’s programme, as well as support with our main programme for adults.There is great potential for the psychologist to lead on areas in which we seek to develop and expand, and the post-holder would be closely supported by the psychology team, as well as the wider team, to do so.

Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature.We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Our Dose of Nature Prescription is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Through a combination of education, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we aim to encourage a greater connection with nature, and inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing.Dose of Nature is a fun, supportive and lively organisation that encourages creativity and independence, as well as a strong sense of working together as a team. 

The nature of the role requires occasional evenings and weekends to cover volunteer training evenings and social events as necessitated by the needs of the charity.
