North Yorkshire Horizons is a service made up of several key partners enabling the development of a peer led, recovery community. Providing a safe environment in which people can develop the life skills, and confidence to achieve and maintain recovery and abstinence from their substance misuse, successfully re-integrate into society, and become active, contributing citizens.

The organisation are currently looking to build their North Yorkshire Horizons teams with a group worker opportunity within North Yorkshire Horizons Selby hub.

The Role

• As a group worker you will ensure that we are able to provide specialist, tailored support to enable people who use our services to make positive changes, increase opportunities for people who use our services to achieve sustainable treatment outcomes within Selby and the surrounding areas.
• You will be an integral member of a dynamic multi agency team, developing and delivering comprehensive group work programmes that will include a full range of structured group support interventions.
• You will take a "whole person” holistic approach ensuring that every person using our services package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, not just their substance use, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person.

• Work closely with the Senior Database Manager, Technical Services Manager and the rest of the Digital Solutions Team to ensure that the systems and software we use, alongside the data we hold are secure and stable and can be accessed by staff.
• Work across the different teams to maximise the benefit we can get from our systems, offering support, training and solutions within the compliance framework.
• Have a good grasp of the IT systems and the security toolset used by Scripture Union.
• Understand the legal framework of GDPR. In addition, regularly review and update data and security policies.
• Work with different teams within Scripture Union to identify data and security issues and seek solutions, either through training or improving processes.
• Conduct regular compliance audits for data management.
• Ensure frequency of staff training, communication updates and give guidance on data protection queries.
• Understand key technical IT security requirements and ensure SU is operating according to national standards.

Growing Younger Team Roles – Mission Enabler (Children)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an innovative and creative leader to manage SIG Safe Ground’s flagship Family Service. A first of its kind, the Family Service at HMP Altcourse brings together creative interventions for men in custody, bespoke family counselling and daily practical support for families visiting a loved one. Leading this ground breaking service you will work alongside internal & external staff teams to reimagine what family support is within the criminal justice system, working to influence a culture shift at HMP Altcourse and the wider prison system.

SIG Safe Ground are experts in delivering arts-based, therapeutically informed group work, celebrating 30 years of working in prisons in 2025. We’re looking for an action-orientated individual who is passionate about developing creative, family-led ways of working to best support those in crisis. You’ll join a reflective, dynamic team of facilitators, counsellors and family liaison workers supporting those with experience of the criminal justice system to build a practical toolbox to cope and move forward positively. 

Rota: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8.30am-4.30pm, Flexible hours when programme delivery is taking place 7.30am - 5pm

Management

Operational

• Attend and contribute to meetings associated with the programme, and convene meetings when required.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external persons and partners.
• Work closely within the team to monitor, gain feedback, evaluate and develop the programmes for continuous improvement.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Background in arts education, dramatherapy, or applied theatre and/or education
• Experience within a prison or other criminal justice setting, and/or within a similar role
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience
• Understanding and/or experience working with therapeutic groupwork techniques
• Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people within the criminal justice setting

• Line Management Experience
• Appropriate professional qualification: NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Community Justice/Arts/Dramatherapy or professional equivalent

We are currently seeking a Deputy Service Manager for our Women's Service. We are looking for someone who is truly committed to the rights of women. This role offers the opportunity to support and manage our team, driving high-quality, trauma-informed care for our residents. The service provides a much-needed safe space and support for women to feel empowered in their healing journey and to feel secure in their independence, strength, and skills.

The successful candidate will help lead the service, which spans over 2 buildings, and will develop their team, consisting of support mentors and family workers. We are seeking a passionate, driven, and motivated individual to lead this service in a trauma-informed and inclusive way.

About the Role  

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Inclusion and Youth Support Assistant to join our team. You’ll be a key first point of contact for young people with epilepsy, their families and a variety of professionals – working with them to provide the training, resources, support and information needed to ensure all children and young people with epilepsy feel informed, confident and fully included in education, sport and society.

At Young Epilepsy young people are at the heart of everything we do, and the purpose of this role is to ensure that children and young people with epilepsy access and shape the support that we provide. This will include liaising with families and young people, schools and other professionals, all with a friendly, sensitive and professional manner. You will be supporting the development and delivery of our online and face-to-face workshops and will help build a network of professionals engaging with our services.

The need for our services is great, so this role will be an exciting chance to support our ambitious strategy. If you are highly organised, a confident communicator and are driven to support young people, we want to hear from you! 

What we need from you 

• Energetic, passionate, and proactive about young people, participation and inclusion in all areas of learning and play. 

• Comfortable communicating with a range of people, on the phone, email or in person, to be a first point of contact with the charity.

• Dynamic and flexible, able to build strong relationships with a wide range of people including young people and professionals.

• Awareness of, or curiosity about, the youth landscape and what is impacting young people today, and able to put this through the lens of living epilepsy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a new post within this service area in which we are seeking an ambitious, person-centred leader to join our team in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) as a Service Manager. In this role, you will report to the Area Manager, and you will manage multiple dispersed services across the RBKC region, managing a team of 9 support workers. 

The service provides 154 units of accommodation to people experiencing homelessness and who have complex needs. The services are spread across the area and are 24 hour supported accommodation sites. You will lead your service to comply with the needs of our commissioners, residents, and organisation, whilst supporting staff to create a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE). You will have overall responsibility for your service to deliver high quality service delivery, performance, and improvements. 

We are looking for someone who is experienced in supporting those who face multiple and complex needs, ideally homelessness. OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Line Management/Leadership

• Manage the end to end employee lifecycle of staff, providing advice, guidance and support as required

Service Delivery

• Manage the overall day-to-day operational delivery of the service and work directly with colleagues, residents, and participants, as well as other stakeholders to provide a high-quality holistic service which meets the needs of all stakeholders
• Ensure service responsibilities and requirements are carried out effectively
• Work proactively to ensure the service and team meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators, and work in line with professional codes of conduct

Risk Management, Information Management, and Case Recording 

• Follow the relevant risk assessment and management procedures, share any relevant information with partner agencies as appropriate
• Champion, and act as a point of reference for safeguarding concerns within the service(s). Ensure all staff attend relevant safeguarding and training and use knowledge to coach and advise the team

Property and Housing Management

• Create and manage a welcoming, psychologically informed home environment for residents and participants, ensuring a continuous focus on safety, health, and wellbeing
• Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard, in line with SIG’s property standards and meets all legal and statutory health and fire safety requirements to operate safely, effectively, and efficiently
• Ensure a provision of a high-quality housing management service to residents

Financial Management

• Manage the service’s budget and review monthly management accounts; manage set budgets effectively and ensure resources are maximised
• Maintain financial management within the service, including but not limited to, invoice management, arrears management, management of petty cash, and expense claims

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.

Your world of expertise

As our MEL Coordinator, you will support the expanding delivery of MEL activities and knowledge management for international development projects at the Met Office, notably our Weather and Climate Information Services (WISER) programmes in Africa, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Asia Pacific Regions. With support of the WISER MEL team, consisting of the Strategic MEL Manager and another MEL Coordinator, you will facilitate and support results reporting, learning and knowledge sharing across WISER. You will closely collaborate with partner organisations and associated programme and project stakeholders at the local, national, regional, and international level to track and share progress, identify lessons learnt, and strengthen inter-and cross-regional and thematic bridges between projects and WISER programmes. The role will also focus on using a range of evidence to support influencing policy and strategic planning in line with WISER's aims, and share learning from WISER with other initiatives and associated programmes WISER is linked to. This includes feeding learning back into FCDO research programmes such as CLARE.

The Met Office WISER family of programmes supports initiatives to build people's resilience to the effects of climate change through co-producing and strengthening their access and use of weather and climate information services. The WISER Programme Team works in partnership with FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office), and delivers its work through the global meteorological community, national governments, development agencies, NGOs and academic institutions.. We act as a strategic partner to deliver FCDO objectives and support countries to strengthen their own weather and climate capability, policies and services.

Your key duties

As our MEL Coordinator (aligned to PDCF Benefits Manager Level 3 within Met Office), the key duties are:

• To work with the WISER MEL team, and independently, to implement monitoring, evaluation and learning tools and approaches to support results reporting. This will require working with a range of stakeholders in different settings both via in-person and virtual spaces, to elicit, analyse and report different types of evidence to support programme and project progress.
• To support the Strategic WISER MEL Manager and WISER MEL Coordinator in post, with learning and knowledge exchanges, working with WISER partner organisations within and across WISER's three regions, and with other associated programmes globally, potentially including FCDO research programmes such as CLARE.
• To support and coordinate WISER partner organisations with their engagement in learning activities and in producing learning and impact outputs.
• Lead on, support and coordinate opportunities and deliverables to share WISER learning at applicable global conferences, workshops and international events both in-person and virtually.

The Change Foundation

The Change Foundation is an award-winning charity that uses sport to change the lives of marginalised young people.  Throughout the past 42-years we have successfully delivered sport and mentoring intervention programmes to change the lives of vulnerable young people living in the UK and abroad. 

We were born in 1981 following the Brixton Riots in London.  Originally called the London Community Cricket Association, we used cricket as a tool to promote community cohesion and peace within the Lambeth community.  Throughout the next four decades we have developed an array of innovative sport and social change programmes by listening to the voices of our young people.  These range from Street Elite, working with young people on the edge of gangs and criminality to Fencing for Change, using fencing to work with young people with a learning disability.

As the dedicated charity for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, the Imperial Health Charity helps hospitals do more through grants, arts, volunteering and fundraising. The charity supports five hospitals—Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea, St Mary’s, and the Western Eye Hospital.

You’ll join a team of three, including Fundraising Manager (line manager), Senior Fundraising Manager and a Fundraising Officer. Our mission is to help children and young people have a fair chance to be who they want to be. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health.

We are looking for a Housing Mobile Night Worker to provide floating support to our teams in high support 24-hour projects as well as medium support and transitional housing units to ensure that our properties are safe, secure, and welcoming through the night. You will be working across Brighton and Hove as well as Worthing to support the static night worker during the night as well as undertaking your mobile duties.

Working on site you will be responsible for ensuring the service is safe by keeping clear records of night time activity within the building. You will regularly complete building checks and monitor CCTV upkeeping health and safety regulations in accordance with YMCA DownsLink Group policies and procedures.  You will work to prevent any anti-social behaviour from impacting our neighbours and other residents. You will work alongside other support staff to maximise the wellbeing of residents by completing one to one interventions with young people who may be experiencing mental health crisis and/or who may need medical assistance. You will also be lone working as part of the role, so you will need to be comfortable with decision making and following procedures.

Our Mobile Night Workers work on four nights on, four nights off rota, working 8pm-7am including working over weekends and bank holidays. Although these are long shifts, you will get four days off after, which can provide a great work life balance.
