About the role
We are currently seeking a Welfare Caseworker, with experience within a social work, advocacy or social welfare setting, to join our Charity wide Welfare Services team.
You will be joining our team to provide welfare advice, information and support services to the Fire & Rescue Community. To carry out assessments of need and implement cost effective solutions to meet service users needs and improve quality of life, empowering individuals and families to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. If you are looking to develop your skills in a forward thinking, responsive sphere of health and social care this is an excellent opportunity.
Working within a national team you will undertake assessments of need that assist recovery and improve quality of life for members of the Fire and Resource Services Community. You will create individually tailored packages of support which respond to the needs of the service users, who may be experiencing unforeseen circumstances in respect to poverty, ill-health and disability needs. Most of your cases will be managed digitally, though some travel to visit service users is required (and may be facilitated through the occasional night away from home).
This role is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
About you
You will need experience of undertaking holistic and recovery focused assessments, and planning person-centred support, as this role works collaboratively within a multi professional team.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Previous experience working within an adult social welfare setting with a broad knowledge and skill base
- A working knowledge of welfare benefits, social care legislation, regulations and guidance and statutory provision. Evidence of application in a practical setting
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining accurate and confidential records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Experience of data collection (outcome and experience measures)
- An NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance or Health and Social Care for adults (or equivalent)
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications

About the role
Compassion UK is poised at a significant moment, and we need to achieve ambitious and urgent targets of growth in the number of children released from poverty. We need to develop more and deeper, mutually beneficial, relationships with multi-denominational UK Church leaders, significant event leaders and philanthropists. As a Strategic Partnerships Manager, you’ll work within the Church Partnerships Team and play a key role to build on existing significant relationships. About the role
The role will involve playing a pivotal role in to help deliver on Individual Giving’s ambitious programme as you seek to maximise income opportunities which will help more people and families secure a safe home. About you

Design in Mental Health Network is a registered charity, which aims to improve mental health outcomes by promoting knowledge exchange, co-production involving the voice of people with Lived Experience and challenging the status quo of mental health design.
We are a network of experts whose perspectives, thoughts, insights, opinions are grounded in research, professional qualification and/or lived experience. The collective includes a wide range of stakeholders involved in planning for, designing, building, managing and using spaces that impact on our mental health.
We believe the better the design brief is in determining and matching the evidenced needs of all users, the better the goal of improving the actual design of settings to support better mental health care and patient outcomes will be.
Good design facilitates human connection (therapeutic/supportive relationships) and to this end we advocate to engage and influence people with decision making capabilities and/or budget control, to understand how to use existing resources more effectively in leading to better mental health outcomes.
We want to actively challenge the status quo, using research and our design skills to reimagine radical new ways of approaching mental health care that improve the outcomes for patients and make these spaces better places to work for the staff on the front line. Person specifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management within charity or international development settings. You should demonstrate a strong understanding of forest governance and human rights, particularly in Central Africa, and exhibit leadership in project management. Proficiency in both English and French is essential, alongside experience in financial management and a personal commitment to defending human rights. Additionally, you should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work under pressure in complex environments, including up to 12 weeks of travel per year to remote forest areas.

This is a key role to support our Operations Co-ordinator with accounting and financial administration of the charity.
Responsibilities
- Managing and recording all financial transactions of the business, journal entries, sales ledger and purchase ledger, bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations, general ledger management, banking, making payments, staff expenses, credit control, weekly and monthly reporting to management, closing the sales ledger and purchase ledger at the end of each month, ensuring all month end journals are posted and any other duties as required by the organisation

Key responsibilities
Marketing
1 Working with Marketing Manager to implement the Marketing Strategy, including contributing to campaigns, messages and stakeholder relations.
2. Supporting the implementation of marketing plans for specific funds, working with our delivery partners and sub-contractors, as appropriate, and helping with programme and fund roundtables and events.
3. Supporting the Director of Investments and the Marketing Manager in delivering new business strategies by providing market analysis and data, publicity plans, key messages, event planning, set up and coordination as necessary.

Role context:

The Finance Manager role is a newly created role which is being introduced to strengthen the organisation’s financial management and control systems. The postholder will work across the breadth of the finance function preparing internal management accounts and external annual accounts.
In 2024, Cord changed its finance system to use Business Central. The Finance Manager will become the organisation’s main ‘admin’ user of the finance system. In the near-term, there will be a particular focus on rolling out further functionality of the system.
The Finance Manager will have oversight of the UK finance function through the line management of the UK Finance Officer and will directly deliver on the international side of operations in the areas of donor compliance, programme financial management, partner financial monitoring, and reporting. About the team
We ensure that our clients are supported to gain and retain safe, decent and affordable accommodation. A stable home is a key factor in successful rehabilitation and breaking the cycle of re-offending. We work holistically with clients, alongside multiple agencies.
Nationally we aim to influence the Government and MOJ to bring about systemic change, so that people in the criminal justice system can access better housing. We also work with housing providers and local authorities to achieve change at a local level.
About the role
You will complete an Initial Needs Assessment (INA) with each client, having a detailed discussion with them to outline their situation and the support they need. A strengths-based approach is used to identify the positive attributes that they can build upon to achieve their goals and is reflected in the design of the INA. Working together with your client, you will map out and agree a set of interventions and the outcomes needed, encouraging and empowering them to actively contribute towards their goals.
You will carry a fluctuating case load of service users with varying levels of needs. The focus of the service is to support the desistance model, supporting individuals to achieve their full potential.
The position will be based in delivery locations across North Yorkshire, with other agreed locations and travel expected when needed across the National Probation Service Region.
About You
You have considerable experience of advocating for clients to agencies and authorities and have a track record of successful outcomes and challenging when needed. You can adapt complex information into practical plans and proactively manage your caseload. Motivating and encouraging your clients will be a key part of the role, as well the ability to build rapport, trust and actively listen to their needs. As you will be working closely with clients, a sound understanding of professional boundaries is crucial.
