As a Support worker you will be able to build supportive, trusting relationships with customers and create a positive atmosphere. What you'll do:

- Providing personalised support with daily living activities, including practical assistance to support customers to independent living

- Willingness to drive the customers' Motability vehicles on a 1/2/3 to 1 basis, however a driving license is not essential
- To maintain appropriate records to a professional standard in accordance with Look Ahead's policies and procedures
- Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all time and to uphold all health and safety responsibilities within relevant policies and local protocols

We are looking for an experienced Practitioner to join our dynamic, ambitious team, who have been twice shortlisted as CYP Now finalists!
The Staying Close Tenancy Support Practitioner will provide support to identified children in care/leaving care; increasing their knowledge and understanding; enabling them to find and maintain a tenancy. The service will provide practical support and training through face-to-face 121 support, virtual delivery and on a targeted group work basis.
The aim of the programme is to sustain young people (16-25) in appropriate tenancies, equipping them to manage on a limited budget, looking after and maintaining their home, and supporting them to manage relationships with Landlords, housemates, and neighbours.
Face to face and virtual sessions will run over a 6-8-week period, helping to build and nurture positive relationships with young people, supporting them with maintaining boundaries and developing communication to achieve programme outcomes, managing retention.
Working inclusively alongside the young people, focusing on both a relational & strength-based approach, building on their inherent strengths, protective factors and what they want to achieve through the programme. Focus will be on children in residential care/supported lodgings/semi-independent accommodation and separated migrant children.
Work a 37 hours per week flexibly to enable the delivery of the training modules according to the needs of the attendees.
In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
-A relevant professional qualification working with vulnerable children and families e.g., Diploma/degree in social work, counselling qualification, professional youth worker or related NVQ or degree.
-Substantial experience of working with looked after young people or young people that are hard to reach and from diverse backgrounds, both on a one-to-one basis and through group work interventions.
-Experience of supporting adolescents who are dealing with complex and sensitive issues through offering advice and advocacy.
-Experience of partnership and multi-agency working.
-Experience of working on one's own and within a team.
-To demonstrate effective use and maintain case management systems, contribute to the administration of the project by undertaking tasks that support effective delivery of services, monitoring and evaluation of work and the maintenance of accurate records.

Following its successful relaunch, the Air Cadet Charity is seeking a highly motivated Trust and Major Donor Fundraiser to help it achieve its aims of supporting and developing the young people of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Air Cadet Charity, until now, has had to rely on donations but Trustees have decided to expand our income generation streams in order to enable us to do more for each and every Royal Air Force Air Cadet. Our activities and projects include supporting flying, adventurous training, drone piloting, participation in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, national sports and national music competitions, BTEC qualifications, STEM development as well as many others. Although the Charity had been around in a different guise for many years this is an opportunity to join a vibrant young charity at the start of its new journey to do more for the young people of our Nation.
The role will focus chiefly on sourcing funding from charitable trusts who share our goal of developing our young people, equipping them with the skills to prosper not only in the present but also for the rest of their lives. The successful applicant will have tried and tested charitable trust fundraising skills such that they contribute the majority of the additional funds required to make this ambition a reality although we recognise that this will not be an overnight goal! In addition, the successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills enabling them to encourage donations from major donors and all who would wish to support the development of our young people.
The role will work directly to the Charity Director, will suit someone who is able to work as the sole fundraiser – although there may be scope to increase our resources as our ambition grows – and not afraid of hard work and added responsibility. It will be primarily working from home with regular contact with the Charity Director and the Trustees responsible for fundraising.
Pitching, presenting and proposal writing should be a strength, that can be evidenced through successful fundraising. Specific knowledge of charitable trust fundraising is essential and wider knowledge of other fundraising specialisms would be advantageous, such as Major Donor and Corporate. We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious team player, able to work from your own initiative.
Key Focus areas
- Expert knowledge of charitable trust fundraising with a track record in designing and securing major gifts through written and/or verbal proposals.
- A track record in securing income from individual donors, Major Donors and Philanthropists including knowledge of legacy fundraising.
- Develop engaging supporter journeys and Legacy pipelines.
- Provide an exceptional experience to our supporters.
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles but most importantly doing the right thing at all times.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Salary £35k-£40k per year pro-rata, 26 days annual leave (not including bank holidays).

We are seeking a motivated person who is passionate about education for social justice to design, plan and deliver courses and workshops on various subjects related to co-operative leadership, education and working practices.
Activities will include the design and development of high quality learning materials, including digital and online resources, the delivery, assessment and evaluation of courses (in-person, online and blended), and contributing to the development of the College curriculum plan.
Salary: Up to £26,240 pro rata (based on 28 hours per week)
The role is home based, with regular travel to Manchester and with some additional travel across the UK and abroad. You’ll need to be a self-starter, highly organised and able to prioritise your workload.
