As a QEHB Charity Senior Corporate Fundraiser you will primarily be based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in Edgbaston, with frequent travel off site to attend meetings and events.
You will be key in helping to build new relationships with corporates across the region and nationally as well as nurture existing supporters.
This role is for someone with considerable experience in corporate fundraising (ideally 3-5 years) within a Charity with a proven track record of delivering on income targets and proactively generating fundraising leads and ideas.
The Senior Fundraiser will work closely with other members of the hospital charity and will be responsible for delivering demanding fundraising targets from corporate supporters and local businesses.
This role will cover fundraising for all aspects of the hospital, including the hospital charity’s work with military patients.
This role will be responsible for designing and implementing new fundraising projects to offer our corporate donors, with the aim of driving income and increasing engagement across the four hospitals.
As well as generating a substantial income stream for the Charity, the successful candidate will also work alongside the Communications Team to design a communications strategy that increases both engagement and income generation.
The post holder will also be involved in the organisation and delivery of fundraising events for the Charity. This role will involve regular evening and weekend work at charity events and events organised by our supporters.

Fundraising is still a relatively new activity for DFN Project SEARCH and this role presents the opportunity to play a key part in its expansion to support the further growth of the charity and enable young adults with a learning disability to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.
This role will support the Director of Development in implementing DFN Project SEARCH’s fundraising strategy. To date the strategy has focused on securing a small number of larger gifts from philanthropic sources, such as trusts and foundations. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Direct Marketing and Fundraising Officer to join our Public Fundraising team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our fundraising activities, particularly during appeals, where your coordination skills will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Appeal Coordination:
- Assist the Direct Marketing Manager - Acquisition in keeping member agency fundraising directors and key suppliers up to date in the run-up to and during appeals.
- Update the fundraising and marketing team budget tracker, ensuring accurate financial tracking throughout the appeal process.
- Support the setup and management of Appeal Toolkits and Appeal Hubs, providing essential assets to staff, member agencies, and suppliers.
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of creative projects across all direct marketing channels, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Work with the team to gather and report appeal results, providing updates to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Executive Team, and CEO’s office.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage review meetings with suppliers’ post-appeal, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Monitor and update core and appeal budgets, processing invoices and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Support the Director of Fundraising and Marketing in organizing and managing the Fundraising Director’s Group meetings, including diary coordination, preparing presentations, and taking minutes.

Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. We work in partnership with people affected by leprosy and LF to improve detection, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote inclusion and wellbeing. Job Context
Our new Global Strategy introduces some new approaches and priorities to our work, including: our first ever global Theory of Change (ToC), the most detailed Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) approach ever, and a sub-strategy dedicated to research, innovation and technology: the Global Research, Innovation and Technology Strategy (GRITS). Job Purpose
The primary objectives of this role are to lead the transitional phase of the GRITS, creating a detailed operational plan for its implementation; support the management of the existing research portfolio ensuring technical soundness, budget adherence and timely delivery; establish a sustainable pathway for research expertise to be led by in-country professionals.

QuarterFive are delighted to be partnering with The Orpheus Centre, which supports young disabled adults to live and work as independently as they are able. They do this through developing their confidence and independent living skills, using arts-based, bespoke learning, work experience and supported living programmes delivered from their base in Surrey. All of their learners are learning disabled and some are also physically disabled.
The Orpheus Centre is located at a beautiful converted farm that provides teaching and performance spaces and self-contained accommodation. However, their success in enabling these young people to thrive means that they are over subscribed every year and have outgrown the current facilities.
The capital appeal will convert a building next to the Centre to allow for more learners to enrol, in particular more learners with more complex needs. Currently, the quiet phase is projected for 2024-2027, with the build phase being projected for 2027-2029.
The Head of Capital Appeal will sit on the SMT, reporting to the CEO, and be responsible for leading a small team of fundraisers also dedicated to raising funds for the build. While there will be a team to support, the Head of Capital Appeal will spend most of their time personally fundraising as well. There are existing opportunities, including a well-connected President (also the Founder), a Capital Appeal Committee which will be set up, and an existing pool of donors. A focus on new business, however, will also be crucial for the success of the project.
As Head of Capital Appeal, you will:
- Develop, implement and monitor the private and public phases of the capital appeal strategy to enable the Orpheus Centre to meet the appeal target
- Establish a high performing capital appeal committee of volunteers to cultivate and steward potential significant donors
- Deliver target income from a range of sources, primarily major donors, trusts and foundations and statutory sources, but not discounting other viable income streams
- Personally secure significant major gifts for the capital project
- Design, recruit and lead a team of fundraisers to support on fundraising for the capital project

- Work closely with the build project team, to ensure clear communication between the funding and the building of the project

Ideal skills and experience:

- Lead on GM internal projects; brainstorming and implementing workflow solutions to team endeavors, ensuring cohesive and aligned project reporting and closing.
- Provide support to the Manager of Grantmaking Systems & Projects
- Support engagement with all project stakeholders, gathering and integrating feedback to improve project management processes.
- Proactively identify risks associated with projects; recommending effective solutions to ensure successful implementation.
- Inform the scheduling and coordination of project activities, including meetings and deadlines, in coordination with Legal Empowerment Fund team.
- Document project outcomes and adaptations; ensuring learning is embedded in LEF grantmaking operations.
Your Team:
This position is part of the Fund’s Grantmaking Operations Team. The team is comprised of one Director, two Managers and four Specialists spread between the US and UK offices. This position will report to the Manager of Systems & Projects and will be based in the UK or US.
You Have - Candidates should demonstrate the following range of skills, experience, and qualities:
- Three years of relevant work experience, e.g., managing workflows, projects, and processes + at least one year of complementary education or experience working in human rights, program, or fundraising
- Demonstrated experience navigating legal and financial frameworks in the UK/US and working knowledge of international grantmaking funding trends and nuances.
- Strong project management skills, including software and people and process management.
- Initiative and strong sense of follow up, demonstrating the ability to keep track of multiple streams of cross-sectional work, and drive forward momentum.
- Diplomacy and the ability to manage sensitive data in a confidential and appropriate manner.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Exceptional and consistent attention to detail while managing complex tasks and/or large work portfolios in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communica6tion skills with the ability to convey information accurately and listen effectively.
- Working knowledge of databases and proficiency in Microsoft Office Teams among other applications
- Strategic and analytical thinker; anticipates the impact of changes—small and large on workflows and process.
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Fluent in English and strong working proficiency in French (written and verbal)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (I.E. NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT CRITICAL)
- Experience in a non-profit environment; grants management experience at private or public foundation a plus.
- Experience in or demonstrated interest in human rights and/or social justice issues.
- Additional language proficiency, especially in French, Spanish, or Arabic.
- Familiarity with US and/or UK non-profit compliance requirements and best practices.
- Familiarity with grants management systems, especially Fluxx.
