About the role
This new role will be central to the successful implementation of a number of new and ongoing programmes. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing workplans and budgets, liaising with programme team members and ensuring that programme milestones are met.
This role will be involved in a number of cross-organisational programmes, across several of Christian Aid's priority themes; specifically economic justice; governance, rights and civic space; and our developing work on reparations.
The Grants & Programme Manager will work in close collaboration with programme and technical leads, playing a crucial role connecting different projects and programmes in order to strengthen our One Christian Aid approach, identify areas of common interest and support learning between colleagues and partners working on similar themes across the organisation.
About you
You will have extensive experience in managing large-scale, complex programmes, ideally across different geographical locations and with diverse programme teams. You will be experienced in working with budgets, tracking spending and developing processes for effective project management.
You will be a strong team player, with the capacity to build strong relationships and willing to go the extra mile to support colleagues. You will have excellent analytical skills, good knowledge of economic justice and governance approaches in international development, and an awareness of current debates in the sector.
You will have excellent analytical skills, a demonstrable ability to assess a range of options, and the confidence to make recommendations for the consideration of programme teams, management and oversight bodies.
You will be an exceptional communicator, able to convey information in English - both written and verbal - accurately and succinctly, tailored to specific audiences with potentially very different levels of technical knowledge.

Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA)
Working Pattern: 30 hours per week (4 weekdays)
Contract: Fixed Term (until March 2025, with possible extension)
Location: Edenfield Centre, Prestwich, Manchester M25 3BL. Possible additional locations in the local area.
The salary, pro rata, is as follows:
For an unqualified advocate: equivalent to a full time post of £23,920 gross, which equates to £19,136 actual gross salary working four days per week.
For a qualified advocate: equivalent to a full time post of £26,000 gross, which equates to £20,800 actual gross salary working four days per week.
About the Role
The post holder will support vulnerable patients within the Adult Forensic and Acute Adult Services of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, with scope to work with patients at various stages of their treatment and rehabilitation. Please note that this role requires physical presence at the hospital. Appointment will be subject to risk assessment.
The successful, dynamic candidate will have:
- Experience of providing Independent Mental Health Advocacy, or having worked in a related field, to a high standard. Relevant skills and experience from backgrounds other than Advocacy can be built on.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of professionals and service-users. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as being adaptable to the needs and abilities of others.
- A working knowledge of the Mental Health Act, relating to both the civil and forensic sections of the Act and other associated legislation. As a minimum, a general understanding is required, with a willingness and an ability to expand on this once in post.
Required experience: Working within Advocacy or a Related Field for at least 1 year
Desirable experience: Holding the National Advocacy Certificate Qualification

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reports to: Head of Support and Care (Registered Manager)
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, usually Monday - Friday 9 - 5pm
NB Service Coordinators are required to balance management administration with being present in the group's houses. This necessitates some occasional evening and weekend work to be agreed with their line manager.

Main purpose of the role:
- To lead and manage the Oak Group, one of three groups in the L'Arche London community, comprising of a range of services for people with learning disabilities and its team of assistants.
- To lead the service delivery within this group in line with L'Arche values, standards and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC].
- To play an active role in the leadership of L'Arche London, helping shape a vibrant community of people with and without learning disabilities.
Leadership and People Management:
- Supervise and work with the Deputy Service Coordinator to lead a team of 15 Support Assistants. Ensure each assistant in the group is regularly supervised, trained, and appraised, and that action is taken to effectively manage performance issues.
- Understand the requirements of the CQC and other relevant legislation and ensure that all applicable standards are met including adult safeguarding.
- As part of the Community Coordinating Team, implement appropriate policies and procedures, promoting the wider L'Arche mission, vision and values.

Administration and Management
- Maintain high standards of communication and record keeping, ensuring an effective flow of information within the Group, with the rest of L'Arche London, the local community, family and professionals.

Creating Community
- Attend and organise Community events and celebrations relevant to the role and foster a sense of welcome for all visitors and friends; ensure a regular rhythm of prayer and reflection in accordance with the traditions of L’Arche.
General

- Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post which may be required from time to time.
What We Offer
This post is offered subject to a probationary period of 6 months; 3 clear references; a completed work history form; a satisfactory and up-to-date enhanced DBS check; and a satisfactory right to work check as appointees must have the right to work in the UK.
There is no additional pay for overtime, but Time off in lieu (TOIL) will be given and agreed with the line manager when circumstances require the post-holder to work extra hours. TOIL should be taken within 2 weeks of being accrued.
All Service Coordinators are the on-call rota for 1 week every 6 - 8 weeks. There is an additional payment of £56 a week for being on-call.
Paid holiday allowance of 33 days leave per year. (This total is inclusive of 8 days in lieu of bank holidays).
Service Coordinators will be provided with a programme of personal development and training including opportunities to study for QCF qualifications in social care and leadership development through L'Arche in the UK's leadership development programme.

Purpose of the job/About the role
Join our Delivered Services team as an Admiral Nurse and bring your specialist dementia nursing expertise to support family carers, people affected by dementia, and professionals who require specialist advice. You’ll be a key member of our team, providing biopsychosocial support through our National Dementia Helpline and Virtual Clinic appointments.
In addition to your core responsibilities, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and support other clinical projects across the charity, benefit from monthly clinical supervision, and participate in a range of learning opportunities to support your ongoing professional development.
As an Admiral Nurse, you’ll be responsible for providing nursing support and expertise, offering practical guidance to colleagues, the general public, those with dementia, and others in supporting family and relationship-centered approaches to dementia care. You’ll also lead and coordinate shifts as required, providing clinical supervision to others and assist with the development, evaluation, audit of the service.
To be successful in this position, you’ll need to be an active Registered Nurse on the NMC register with a post-registration qualification or training in dementia care or a relevant subject. You will have significant experience of practicing as an Admiral Nurse or dementia specialist nurse and previously worked with people who have dementia and their family, carer and supporters in different settings.
Strong communication skills are essential, as is a proven track record of providing high standards of clinical leadership and specialist nursing support. You should be adept at providing clinical advice, clinical supervision, and advocating for family carers.

About us at the NCT
A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.
Our Hounslow Infant Feeding Support project is commissioned by Hackney Council and the Integrated Care Board, to offer infant feeding support across the region. The support is delivered by staff, NCT Breastfeeding Counsellors and volunteer peer supporters.
About the Role
You will be responsible for coordination and recruitment of volunteers to support at our services. Peers will all receive accredited training to provide support to other parents whether that’s sharing their breastfeeding and infant feeding knowledge, welcoming parents or providing social interaction to those they support. Our services within Hounslow include four NCT Baby Cafes, other Infant Feeding community peer support drop-ins and our home visiting service across Hounslow.
· Engage with underrepresented communities through outreach and networking with other local organisations, scoping of new groups within region.
· Attend community groups and working with volunteer peer supporters, supporting them to carry out their role, and providing coordination, direction and encouragement
· Following home visiting criteria to support parents unable to access group drop-ins
· Responding to referrals, signposting and partnership working with health professionals into the service. Providing updates whilst building relationships with key stakeholders.
· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner adhering to NCT data protection policies and processes.
· Use a variety of platforms and media to promote the service and recruit volunteers
· Maintain the Infant Feeding Website ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This project covers multiple locations and demographics so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be organised and able to work independently.
Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires the candidate to have given breastmilk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours. The role is 21 hours per week, which will be covered across the working week between Monday to Friday. The working hours range between 9-3. The role will include occasional evening and weekends. This is a community-based role in Hounslow, with some home working.

Purpose of this role

You must demonstrate a strong commitment to implementing IPSEA’s mission: to help children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, and their families and carers get the appropriate education, training, and support they are entitled under the law.
You will have experience in a similar leadership role, ideally within the charitable sector. Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams is crucial, and you will possess a strong understanding of strategic planning and financial management, including the ability to generate income and manage budgets effectively. A proven track record of setting and achieving both strategic and operational objectives is essential.

As our Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability of our charity, directly impacting our ability to support our service users. Your work will span both operational and strategic aspects, maintaining financial excellence, integrity, and resilience.
Your expertise will be key to driving our charity's growth and development. As a member of our small team, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and process optimisation. Key responsibilities include leading management reporting, cash flow planning, and preparing the Charity Annual Report & Accounts.
We seek someone with a detailed knowledge of accounting principles, ideally within the charity sector, strong analytical skills, and the ability to demonstrate both operational and strategic thinking. Proficiency in accounting and a relevant finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, AAT, or QBE with equivalent experience) are essential.
This role requires advanced Excel skills, experience in charity accounts, and familiarity with the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP).
We are an inclusive charity that values work-life balance. This home-based role offers flexibility to agree on a working pattern that meets both your needs and those of the organisation.
While your work will generally follow a fixed pattern during office hours, Monday to Friday, you will be required to attend 4 to 6 trustee meetings and events per year, usually in London. The charity will cover reasonable travel costs for these events.

The Trustees of St Neots Foodbank are looking for a new Foodbank Manager to join our amazing team of volunteers. We are a community-led operation that is based on, shaped, and guided by Christian principles. We believe no-one in our community should have to face going hungry.
St Neots Foodbank was founded ten years ago by the town’s churches; and is part of the Trussell Trust network and is still managed by trustees from those churches. At St Neots Foodbank we have our own warehouse and run four distribution centres across St Neots each week; all currently staffed by over 70 volunteers.
We are looking for
As Operations Manager, you will oversee the operations at St Neots Foodbank, giving particular attention to operational efficiency and standards in line with the terms of the franchise, including the implementation of existing policies and standard operating processes. You will be instrumental in enabling our Foodbank to continue to support our community and support and guide its future development.
Our ideal candidate will have relevant experience and be able to demonstrate great leadership qualities to build strong teams based on trust and understanding. Self-motivation, organisation and excellent interpersonal skills will be essential for this role. We are looking for an individual who is in sympathy with Christian values, and who has the ability to work empathetically with people from disadvantaged, marginalised, or socially excluded backgrounds.
